Well, this has nothing to connect with personal life of veteran star heroines Madhuri Dikshit and Juhi Chawla. These two beautiful aunties are now a part of most controversial project ‘gulaab gang.’ Story of this film is heard to be inspired from Sampat Pal Devi, founder of gulaab gang in Uttar Pradesh. Core activities of this women gang wearing pink saris formed in 2006 is to visit the abusive husbands and beat them with bamboo sticks unless they stop beating their wives.

‘This is a dramatic version of what that is happening around us. Stories are taken from real lives of women who suffered badly in hands of their husbands,’ Juhi says and the movie is directed by debutant Soumik Sen. As of now, the original gulaab gang raised many objections on their real life story being made cinematic.

Hamsa Nandini started her career with ‘Anumanaspadam’ but the movie failed at box office. Then on, the leading lady made few special appearances and item songs in few hit movies. She sparkled in Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ and then in Prabhas ‘Mirchi’. After a very long time Hamsa is doing a full-fledged role in Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudramadevi’. She will be seen as ‘Princess Madhanika’, who is a spy and she seems super excited about this project.

“I am going to start my sword fighting and horse riding lessons soon. I play a spy (as Princess Madhanika) in the ‘Rudramadevi’ and have a lot of action sequences, so I’m looking to get into the best possible shape by the time I start shooting in June,” shared Hamsa Nandini. She is also doing an item song Nagarjuna’s ‘Bhai’.

Only Telugu actor in Forbes list

Forbes India had released a list of outstanding performances in 100 years of Indian cinema. And in the list of 25, there is only one Telugu actor in the list. Guess who? NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan, Chiranjeevi…? Not at all. It is Somayajulu’s performance in Shankarabharanam. He stood in the list of Forbes’s “25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema”.

‘Sankarabharanam’ was released in the year 1979 but the movie started slow at box office. As the positive talk generated the movie made it big at box office and also won four National Film Awards, five Nandi Awards and Somayajulu won Filmfare award in Best actor category.
