Top Heroine refuses to pair up with Ram Charan

The makers of Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut film (‘Zanjeer’ remake) are in search of a new heroine at the moment.

Although, the director Apoorva Lakhia (‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ fame) tried to rope in Deepika Padukone for this film opposite Charan, the B-town hottie declined the offer. Even the hefty pay packet offered by the makers couldn’t tempt her to sign the film.

“Obviously, any A-list heroine will not be keen to pair opposite a debutant. It happens in any Industry,” said a noted south director who shifted his base to Bollywood.

“Charan is a star in Tollywood, even before the release of his debut film and that’s because of his father. But that’s not the case in Bollywood. He is just like any other newcomer here and is yet to make a mark of his own in this Industry. He has to build his own fan base,” he added.

Ram Charan’s stint in bollywood is going to be tough ride for him. Let’s wait and see, how he over comes all these barriers to fulfill his dreams!

Nayantara Furious With Makeup-Man Linkup

The other day a popular south daily newspaper carried the story of ‘a new man in Nayan’s life’. As per reports, the actress is angry with the link-up writings.

Nayanatara is the most sought after actress in the cine circuit after her breakup with the dancing sensation. Reports carried that she is now dictated terms by her make-up man Raju about both career and personal life. It is heard that he is the man behind the bonding of Nayan and Prabhu and again he is the one to separate them. Nayan’s comeback plan to acting is also an idea from this commission agent, who also looks after her dates. More than this makeup-pack up relation, the rapport between them went beyond that as he takes care of lonely Nayan, a source revealed.

This make-up earlier worked with few Kollywood actresses like Kanaka and Ahaana before he was ousted from job for doing mal practices. Already, he is said to have bought a multi-crore apartment in a posh Chennai area with this ‘sidelined’ money. Coming to point, Nayanatara denied all this and quoted with friends that her life’s remote control is still with her. Smoke never comes without fire and Nayan is earlier famous for her melodramas when she denied saying that there is ‘nothing’ between her and Prabhudeva, which eventually turned the other way.

With some back to back successes, young hottie Tamanna is flying with colors these days. The beauty stood in the news for declining Mahesh Babu’s project earlier. Now, she is heard doing ‘Mahesh Japam’!

Citing dates problem, Tammu baby earlier rejected Mahesh Babu’s flick. Currently, the tempting seductress is busy with Ramcharan’s ‘Racha’, Ram’s ‘Endukante Premanta’ and Prabhas’ ‘Rebel’. Post the rejection of Mahesh’s movie, something happened inside the camp and all of a sudden the scorching beauty is heard doing that flick. This is revealed when a noted Tamil producer who earlier used Tamanna’s milky-white-exposure to the max approached her.

She turned down the offer saying that her dates are allocated to Mahesh’s movie under the direction of Sukumar. Insiders are saying that Sukumar played a key-role in making Tamanna accept this project by making her realize the importance of acting aside Mahesh to become the queen-bee of Tollywood. Gudumba Shankar shades in Racha

Ram Charan’s Racha that has been on sets for almost a year is finally getting ready for release. The film is expected to release in first week of April. So, how are the expectations of general public on the film? Frankly speaking, there are no big expectations in general public on this film. Only mega fans are excited about it.

Any big star’s film sets high expectations if it has a star director to bank upon. But Racha movie’s director Sampath Nandi is not a star. So it is up to Charan to raise the expectations on the film. Leaked song from the film did add some spice to the film though. But the stills that were released to the media are lacking the punch.

Few pictures of Ram Charan and Tamanna give an impression that it has shades of Pawan’s flop film Gudumba Shankar. It means proper care is not being taken about setting high expectations on the movie. When the film doesn’t have enough craze, the team has to be even careful with these minute things which could help the movie in a big way.

Story

Shiva (Ajay) is a sportsman and is the son of Police Commissioner (Nagineedu). Ajay, who fails in love with his classmate Divya ( Sindu Tulani) turns psychic and so his father throws him out of house. Three years later, Rahul (Nithin) a fun loveing college guy sees Priya (Nithya Menon) and falls for her while flying to Hyderabad. The weather conditions forces the flight to land in Goa. And with the help of his aunt (Rohini) Rahul meets Priya and creates a good impression with friendly and caring nature. In a short span of time, the duo gets close to each other and falls in love. After they arrive to Hyderabad, they get to know that Priya’s brother is Ajay who loved Rahul’s sister Divya. How does Rahul overcome the hurdles and wins his love Priya is all about Ishq.

Performances

Nithin has taken a brief gap before Ishq and he has done a good job. He has brought in a refreshing change bys shedding few kilos, his expressions in emotional scenes are apt. His chemistry with Nithya Menon worked big time for the film and when we step out of theaters we just remember the characters Rahul & Priya.

Being a romantic entertainer, female lead Nithya Menon has a good scope for performance and she utilized to the best. Nithya is at ease performing the role of Priya. She is expressive and is a treat to watch.

Ajay bagged a good role and he is perfect. He brings out laughs for his scenes with Ali in the second half. Ali is hilarious, Sindhu Tulani does justice to her role, Rohini gets short yet significant roles, Nagineedu and Supreet are adequate.

Technical Analysis

Pc Sreeram cinematography is outstanding and is the main asset of the film. Anoop Rubens music is pleasing to ears and so is the background score. O Priya Priya and Sootiga Choodaku are greatly shot. Direction by Vikram Kumar is good, the love track was quite impressive. Editing by Sreekar Prasad is crisp and neat; dialogues by Ramesh Samala were apt as per the script. Production Vales are fine.

Analysis

Director Vikram Kumar’s story for Ishq is simple but it’s the screenplay and narration that made a difference. The first half of the film is good with ample entertainment and the lead pair’s awesome chemistry. PC Sreeram is the hero of the film, his work is adorable, even the simple expressions by the lead pair were aesthetically captured and every frame looked rich. However, the second half of the film goes on predictable note but the pre-climax scenes are good again. The first half is the major plus for the film while the second half remains an average. While Ishq will appeal to the class audiences it doesn’t have much for the masses.

Pawan Kalyan is the only hero that didn’t lose craze and charm despite delivering numerous flops. Any big star might have been history if he had just a single hit to his credit in eleven years. We are already witnessing few star heroes being overlooked by the buyers. But Pawan Kalyan’s films always turn out to be crazy projects irrespective of his previous film’s result.

After Panjaa’s debacle there were many doubts raised over Gabbar Singh’s future. Analysts opined that this film may not be benefitted by Pawan Kalyan’s star power. But after the teaser’s release everything has changed within minutes. Gabbar Singh has turned red hot, all because of a thirty second teaser that has Pawan Kalyan and Pawan Kalyan alone.

If you see Gabbar Singh’s trailer one thing that gets highlighted is the ‘attitude’ of Pawan Kalyan. If a character needs to show attitude in every move, then it will be justified by one and only Pawan. No one even comes close to him in this aspect. Although Gabbar Singh is a remake of Dabangg, the teaser has set high expectations due to the attitude of Pawan’s character in it. Being a diehard fan of Pawan Kalyan, director Harish Shankar is highlighting the plus points of Pawan Kalyan and apparently, this film can’t go wrong. So, dear Power star fans get ready for the Power blast!

Mahesh Babu brainwashed him

Superstar Mahesh Babu is a very positive person and also ensures that the people around him are in a positive state of mind. He strongly believes that positive attitude helps us to overcome the hurdles and also the negatives in us.

Reports say that Mahesh has infused the same theory to his brother-in-law Sudheer Babu, who is depressed after the not so impressive show of his debut film ‘SMS’ at the Box Office. Apart from encouraging Sudheer Babu saying he has that special quality in him to make it big in the Industry, the Superstar is said to have suggested him to undergo rigorous training before moving to the next project.

Apparently, Sudheer Babu scored a few brownie points for his dancing skills and the athletism shown in fights, his dialogue delivery and diction is taking a beating from the audience and the critics.

After the disastrous result of Varudu and Badrinath, Allu Arjun is very cautious while signing films and is preferring good scripts, than star directors. In the past, he used to bank heavily on hotshot directors as they were a safe bet. But his recent failures forced him to think otherwise. Now, the actor has no reservations about working with debutant/flop/tamil directors, if the script narrated by them is good enough.

Selvaraghavan’s script is one of those rare ones, which is a perfect blend of content and commercial elements. Bunny is all set romance Shruti Hassan for the first time in this film. The regular shooting of this big budget extravenga which costs around Rs 45 crores, will start by the end of 2012.

Ishq is a romantic entertainer blended with some action has been directed by ’13 B’ fame Vikram.

This film is hitting the screens tomorrow and the buzz from the industry sources is unanimously positive. Even the buzz from the Censor Members is pretty good. Ishq has already caught the attention of audience with chartbusting songs. Kodibaye Lachammadi… song has been creating waves in the music industry.

Nithya Menen played the heroine role in this film. Only problem that Ishq might face is the release timing. February last week is not a bankable time to release a film, especially a romantic comedy. In the wake of discussion for a Telugu title for Telugu films, Mohan Babu took the initiative of cleaning his home first, a critic commented. Balayya’s film becomes a book

Finally the teaser of Pawan’s much anticipated ‘Gabbar Singh’ is out and here comes the first talk of it. The mass masala action packed treat is raising heat in Pawan’s camp and fans are all just excited!

With Pawan walking in the attire of Police Inspector with unbuttoned khaki shirt and white t-shirt inside, the 25 second teaser has sent lovely feelers. As the story and concept of the film are known, now everyone is prying on Pawan’s looks, mannerisms and dialogues. ‘Naaku konchem tikka vundi.. kaani daaniki o’ lekka vundi..’ is the dialogue that is rocking the tinsel town, which is a part of that released teaser.

Keeping all these talks aside, the teaser of ‘Gabbar Singh’ generated a plain positive feel about the movie like all previous Pawan’s flicks. Please don’t come to any conclusion looking at the title. We are not talking about their skills set here. The thing in focus is the business range of both these stars at the Overseas Box Office.

While the Overseas rights of Mahesh Babu’s last outing Businessman fetched a record price (Rs 4.5 crores), Ram Charan’s upcoming film Racha has to settle down with much less amount. Reportedly, the Overseas rights of Racha were sold out for Rs 2.75 crores.

“This is an indication to show that Mahesh is far ahead of any other star in the Industry. In the near future, no one could atleast come close to the benchmark set by him. It has come to a stage that Mahesh is competing with himself and breaking his own records,” said a fan of the Superstar.

“Nothing great, if Mahesh’s films fetches record price in Overseas as it’s his strong hold. He should repeat the same in the regions where he has a down market,” said a Mega fan.

For now, Mahesh’s fans can claim that they have an upper hand over their opponent. But, who knows what will happen in the future. Going by the favourite betting formula ‘The Favourite Doesn’t Always Win’, which mean even the best of the lot should go through its share of failures!
