TRS Kavitha talks about Sharmila Surgery
Telangana Jagruti president Kavita expressed doubts that YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila had not undergone surgery. She said she should disclose all the facts about her surgery if it was true. She also demanded that Sharmila should first state her party’s stand on ‘T’ before resuming her pada yatra in the region.
She warned that Telangana Jagruti would demonstrate with black flags at her meetings if she does not make her party’s stand clear.
Kiran , Chiru not in Favour for ‘ T ‘ before HC ?
Congress high command which has been focusing on the Telangana issue has started hectic consultations beginning with the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and the former Chief Minister and Tamilnadu governor K Rosaiah.
The high command called the Chief Minister to the capital and heard his views. Soon after landing in the capital, the Chief Minister straight drove to the residence of the party’s general secretary and state affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and held discussions with him. Without even going to the AP Bhavan, he went from Azad’s house to 10 Janpath, official residence of the party supremo Sonia Gandhi and held discussions with her. It is learnt that the Chief Minister while leaving the decision to the high command’s discretion, advised the leadership against taking a hasty decision in favour of state bifurcation. He has reportedly warned the leadership that the party would face further difficulties by bifurcating the state, than gaining politically. He explained how Congress gained in the cooperative elections. He reportedly placed election results before the high command, showing how Congress stood first and pushed even the YSRCP and TRS to third places in the Seemandhra and Telangana regions respectively. He explained that the Congress had politically regained its number one place and this situation might reverse if a pro-Telangana decision was taken.
The Chief Minister met Digvijay Singh union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and President Pranab Mukherjee also. It is learnt that he had expressed the same views in his meetings with them also. The President reportedly asked the Chief Minister about the situation in the state and the he used the opportunity to express himself against Telangana. The discussion of the Chief Minister with the President centred round ‘T’ said sources.
The presence of Rosaiah in the capital at the crucial time of consultations gave rise to speculations that the high command was valuing his opinions because of his long political innings and his being the Chief Minister when the ‘T’ movement was at its peak. It is learnt that Sonia Gandhi had already taken Rosaiah’s opinion on the matter. However as Rosaiah is a diplomat, he simply explained the entire situation and left the decision to Sonia’s wisdom.
The meeting the union minister of state for Tourism Chiranjeevi had with the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday gained importance. Though Rahul Gandhi reportedly called Chiranjeevi to discuss with him about providing employment to the youth through tourism, the real purpose is said to be to discuss Telangana. Chiru, a known integrationist told Rahul that the state would prosper only when it was united. He reportedly explained that the Telangana movement was by some politically unemployed persons and the upsurge from the people had actually died down. The presence of Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and Ponnala Lakshmaiah ministers of Seemandhra and Telangana respectively is also giving rise to speculations about the purpose of their visit. Kanna Lakshmi Narayana is a staunch integrationist and Ponnala is a Telangana protagonist. But as Ponnala is facing CBI case in connection with Jagan assets, it is being said that he came to the capital to explain his innocence in the matter. However, Kanna is said to be doing the rounds campaigning against Telangana.
Brahmi boasts of making stars!
No one can reach the echeleons of Tollywood like star comedian Brahmi. All heroes and film makers believe strongly if proper script is there Brahmi’s presence will be sure shot to success. However there are lot of rumors about Brahmanandam that he will never encourage anyone and try to suppress and stall the growth of budding talent using his influence with the directors. Brahmanandam who is fed up of all these rumors decided to put an end to all of them stating that he made stars of many people. Brahmi even boasted that it was due to him Tagubotu Ramesh got the role in Rajamouli’s prestigious venture Eega.He said due to Eega Ramesh is getting many offers.

Speaking to media he said since long he had the dream of starring in multi starrer but however he couldn’t do so as he did not get the perfect script and role. He said film makers of Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Sneham Kosam’ contacted him for Vijaykumar’s role but he rejected as his age did not suit the role at that time.He said if someone comes with good scripts he is even ready for negative roles.
When asked about his doing a negative role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film,he said he did not get any proposal till now but if offered he would readily do it. Recollecting his multistarrer dreams he said even Balakrishna, Nagarjuna promised to do multi starrers but somehow it did not materialise.
It has to be seen the response of Mega camp as there is lot of bad blood flowing between both the families politically and even in films.

Post Vishwaroopam row, Govt to amend Cinematography act
The latest controversy of Vishwaroopam ban had not only caught the eye balls of the entire nation but also demanded the immediate focus of Government to amend the Cinematography act which was constituted in 1952. Government now had appointed a committee to review
Bollywood biggies Sharmila Tagore and Javed Akthar are also part of this Committee, They are expected to recommend the changes to be made to the existing Cinematography act at the earliest. The committee headed by a retired High court judge will recommend the changes in the act considering the change of times from 1952 to now.
No more item songs in Movies!
The Censor Board of Film Certification which recently met in Mumbai had taken a radical decision. It has decided to give ‘A‘ certificate to all movies of all Indian languages, which have item songs. As per the new guidelines formed , these item songs need to be deleted while the movie is telecast on TV channels as only family viewable content is allowed on small screen. This radical decision is taken at CBFC meet in mumbai after feeling the heat of recent rape cases in the country.
Cinematography act was made way back in 1952, where item songs, sex, violence etc were not part of indian cinema. CBFC members felt that serious ammendments are needed for the rules now. As of now, CBFC gives only ‘A, U/A, U‘ certificates to movies.
Leader 2 Movie on Cards!
Politics and Violence are two inseparable words, at least in cinema. But, Rana Daggubati’s debut ‘LEADER’, directed by Sekhar Kammula is definitely an exception to it. The entire making composition was believed to be a contradictory choice for that genre of a film. But, you know, if there is any one who can still impress you, then it should be Sekhar Kammula, one of the most sensible directors of Tollywood.
Well, now he is too busy organizing things on his table. He is planning to wrap up the ‘Kahaani’ remake shoot in 45 days and release it as early as possible and then start scripting ‘LEADER 2’, the sequel to ‘LEADER’. Further details of it are yet to be revealed.

Richa pins high hopes on Mirchi
Richa Gangopadhay made a scintillating debut with Rana’s Leader and later went on to consolidate her position with Ravi Teja’s Mirapakay. Post those two films this NRI girl has never managed to give a good success till date as her recent release Sarocharu also did not bring her much luck. But this time around Richa is very confident about her upcoming film Mirchi. The trailers have created a good buzz and the music has already been a hit. So we hope that Rebel star Prabhas gives her the much needed hit, and get her back to winning ways.
Mirchi is all set for release on February 8th. This is the debut directorial movie of famous writer Koratala Shiva and produced by Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati jointly on the banner of UV Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer of the movie. This film also stars Brahmanandam, Satyaraj, Aditya menon and Satyam Rajesh in other important roles.
Censor Board is now hurt !
After the Islamic groups regarding Vishwaroopam, it is now the Censor board to get hurt. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had demanded an apology from Tamil Nadu’s Advocate General for statements made by them in connection with the certification of ‘Vishwaroopam’. CBFC had made it clear that ir followed every procedure for certifying ‘Vishwaroopam’ in accordance with the Act and Rules framed by Parliament. The CBFC calls upon the Advocate General and Advocate Shri Sankarasubu to issue an apology for the statements made by them.
“The CBFC has been functioning since 1951 and there are judicial precedents upholding the legality of the certification process,” the statement said. In view of the above, the statement of Mr Krishnan calling the certification process a ‘scam’ is baseless, it said. Also the statement of advocate Sankarasubbu calling the Board members ‘purchasable commodities’ is utterly reprehensible and grossly defamatory, it added.
Mahesh is not interested in Cricket !
Super Star Mahesh Babu who is currently reigning Tollywood with back to back hits is reportedly not interested in playing Cricket at the Celebrity Cricket League. Mahesh had played cricket in his childhood. When asked why he is not interested now. The actor said, “I will do only those things which excite me. Presently, my full focus is on making good movies and I don’t want to distract myself”. This will be certainly a disappointing news for Super Star fans.
Mahesh participation in CCL had been headlines of several Newspapers and websites for the past one year. But now it remained as mere rumours. Mahesh is currently shooting for his upcoming movie in the direction of Sukumar. The movie shooting is going on in Nanakramguda. The movie is being planned for the second half of the year.
Nara Rohit’s Okkadine finally releasing
Bad financial position of the producers had hampered the movie release of Nara Rohit’s Okkadine for more than 2 months now. The movie is ready for release but is lying in labs since then due to some financial issues. And now we hear that the makers have come out of that mess and the movie is finally hitting the screens on February 14th on Valentine’s day. The movie will now have to lock horns with Prabhas’ Mirchi, Gundello Godari, Siddharth’s Jabardasth which are all releasing this month.
Srinivasa Raga of Katha fame had wielded megaphone for this movie. Sai Kumar, Chandra Mohan, Kota and Ali play important roles in this film, which has soundtrack provided by Karthik. Chintapalli Ramana is penning the dialogues.
Siddharth’s cameo in Baadshah !
Lover Boy Siddharth and young Tiger NTR are good buddies. Both of them share good relationship and speak high of each others in Public events. And now both of them are going to be seen in a movie. They are not doing any multistarer movie but Siddharth is playing a cameo in Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming movie, Baadshah. Siddharth is playing a little but important role in the movie and he had also participated in the shoot for two days. We are not yet informed about what his role is but it is definitely worth waiting.
Currently, the song shoot of Baadshah is going on at Annapurna 7 acres. The makers are planning to release the movie in April. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie while Navdeep and Kelly Dorjee will be seen in negative roles in this action entertainer. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music.
No signal for Telangana – Lagadapati
Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal on Monday exuded confidence that the State would not be divided as there was no consensus among the people of the three regions of the State. Curiously, at the same time, he admitted that the ruling party was not against creation of Telangana State.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan after meeting PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana, Lagadapati said he was not against the division of the State like late chief minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy. He said he had launched ‘Kanuvippu Deeksha’ against TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu as the latter had changed his stand on Telangana issue. He said while the stand of the Congress was very clear on Telangana, the TDP has changed its stand now.
He said the Seemandhra people were opposed to creation of separate Telangana State as they have some objections on division of the State. Stating that consensus was not possible over Telangana State, he said Telugu land belongs to all.
Pointing out that the Congress bagged majority of the Cooperative Societies across the State, he said the party would repeat the feat in the Local body and Panchayat elections. He also said the Congress has strong cadre base in the Krishna district and nobody would leave the party.
Lagadapati said he asked the PCC Chief to accept the resignations of the MLAs whoever it may be immediately after receiving them. Stating that only some leaders were joining YSRCP, he advised the Congress to accept such leaders’ resignations.
He said one Thatimatla Venkatrao of Jaggayyapet constituency joined the Congress in the presence of PCC Chief today. The party may give responsibilities to Venkatrao in the near future, he added.
15 ‘T’ MLAs plan to Join YSR Congress ?
Despite the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao making frantic calls to MLAs of other parties to join him for achieving Telangana, none appears to be convinced with his claim of winning 100 seats in the next Assembly elections. Particularly the dismal performance of the TRS in the cooperative elections belied the claims of KCR, say observers. It is learnt that about 17 MLAs of different parties are looking towards the YSR Congress and are likely to join it in the near future. YSR Congress leaders are presently engaged in talks with these MLAs, say sources.
All the 17 MLAs YSRCP has are from the Seemandhra region. Five more have recently resigned to the Congress and announced their decision to join the Congress recently. They are also from the Seemandhra region. There are four more ready to join the Jagan bandwagon and the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has already expelled all the 9 MLAs from the party. Apart from these, YSRCP is claiming 20 more MLAs of different parties were in touch with them in the Seemandhra region. Even impartial observers say that at least 10 more were getting ready to join the YSR Congress.
In Telangana, YSRCP has strong leaders in Nalgonda, Medak, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts. They are making hectic efforts to attract leaders of other parties, with special focus on MLAs who have winning chances in the next elections. Some of the MLAs who had already decided on joining the YSR Congress, are awaiting the decision of the central government on the Telangana issue. They feel that they would not have any problem if the centre decides for or against the statehood issue. Sharmila is going to resume her pada yatra on February 6, in the Telangana region. It is learnt that some MLAs might announce their decision to join the YSR Congress during her yatra.

She has signed a film for Bollywood too ,23 years Kruti was acting in Hero Panti film opposite Tiger shroff as his love interest. At the age of 5 years she has done modeling with Madhu Saprey and Milind Soman by Participating in a fashion show. This recougnises a famous saying in Telugu (i,e) “Puvvu Puttagane Parimalinchadam”.
Hurt Kamal couldn’t hide his feelings !
With the film ‘Viswaroopam” finally being given the go ahead for release Veteran star Kamal haasan seems to be in a jubiliant mood , but his underlying anxieties and pain were evident even as he addressed the media in Mumbai on Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalita’s decision on the viswaroopam ban,he merely offered,”The matter is sub-judice now,so I can’t speak about it. Does he believe that the ban was a politically motivated revenge move on the CM’s part ? He shoots back “ Let me clarify one thing here at this press meet.I can see so many heads right now and it’s difficult to tell who is a trouble maker and who is not,similarly several heads may have made the decision together . I will not be able to mention any names . For now,the government has agreed to revoke the ban ,so let’s see what’s in store for us.”
When asked about whether he agree that there exists fair amount of saffron terrorism which is being supported by some ministers,he said “this is a matter of debate.I will only say that any terrorism ,be it green,blue or whatever,should be supported. My film “Viswaroopam” does’nt support terrorism at all and neither does it showcase muslims in a bad light .Infact ,the film portrays the intelligence of muslim women and i am sure thet in the future ,manymore talented muslim women will make it to the top professionally”
