It may be recalled that Nimmagadda was arrested in connection with the Vanpic scam that has ramifications with the illegal assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Nagarjuna met Nimmagadda during the Mulaqat time. The actor met Nimmagadda earlier in June, July and October. In July he met Nimmagadda and gave him Prasadam of Shirdi Sai Baba. He had told the media that he wanted his friend to come out of the travail.

Then reports claimed that Nagarjuna had invested in the Vanpic projects. One English newspaper wrote that Nagarjuna had invested heavily in the Matrix Export Holdings Pvt Ltd. of Nimmagadda Prasad.

According to that report, Matrix Export Company mentioned that Nagarjuna owned two lakh shares of the value of Rs 10 each in the balance sheet submitted to the Registrar of Companies. The newspaper said Nagarjuna tried to withdraw his shares. Whereas in Maa TV, it was said Nagarjuna, Nimmagadda and Chiranjeevi owned 80 percent of the shares. Of these, 30 percent were purchased by Sony Pictures Television Company in April last. Nimmagadda is the chairman of Maa TV.

Speaking to the media, the Union Home Minister reiterated that the Centre was seriously engaged in working out a solution to the contentious separate Telangana State issue. He reminded that the Telangana was a very sensitive issue and hence the Centre was treading cautiously by continuing the consultation process. Therefore, there would be no more new deadlines to resolve the problem, he added.

When reminded that he himself had fixed one month deadline after the all-party meeting held on December 28 and yet the problem continues to remain the same, Shinde observed that the issue was very sensitive and all efforts were being made to find a solution. Now there would be no new deadlines in this regard, he added.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Congress MPs, who arrived in the national capital this morning, said they had come on the invitation of Union Minister and AICC general secretary in-charge of AP affairs Vayalar Ravi. Since they had already explained their stand on the Telangana issue umpteen times, they would only listen to what the Union Minister says but would not indulge in any dialogue, they observed.

The T MPs said they would accept nothing less that a separate Telangana State and if there was no positive response from the Central leadership in this regard, they would meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi and submit their resignations. Since it has been often told that the issue could be resolved only through discussions and consultations, we have come here. But we will not talk anything except listen to what Vayalar Ravi says”, they added.

But what has he, to sacrifice?

KK is former of several positions. He doesn’t have anything now to sacrifice. One congress leader jokingly said KK’s offer of sacrifice was like a bald-headed person offering his hair to Lord Venkateswara.

KK as he is popularly known was a journalist. But by wearing Khadi and hanging around Gandhi Bhavan, headquarters of the state Congress, he convinced that he was a staunch Congress man. By growing a beard and speaking English, he also convinced the Congress leaders that he was an intellectual. He never won any election in his life. He once got elected to the legislative council from the Graduates constituency. He won because all the journalists helped him as they were happy that one among them was at least going to the upper house. Other than that he never faced any direct election.

Still by hanging around the Congress lobbies, he could slowly come up the Congress echelons. He became the PCC president. He was later made the CWC member and Rajya Sabha member.

But KK threw away all that he gained through careful planning, by his lose tongue. While other MPs had been very cautious in their approach towards Telangana, KK recklessly talked about a war with the Congress High Command despite being member of the CWC, the highest policy making body of Congress. He lost his goodwill with the Congress High Command and Sonia Gandhi. The High Command chose not to re-nominate him for the upper house of parliament. Now he doesn’t have any position worth mentioning. Still he keeps saying that he would sacrifice everything for Telangana.

Observers say that KK also has a scheme behind this. He is trying to get closer to the TRS and KCR. He would leave Congress soon with other MPs and join the TRS. By doing so, he would stand a chance of getting TRS ticket either for the Assembly or the Parliament. As he can speak English, it is likely that he might get Lok Sabha ticket. As TRS is likely to sweep elections in the Telangana region, KK also might get elected in that wave. If he wins, it would be KK’s first ever direct election victory.

Talking to the media, he said if the Congress president Sonia Gandhi assures that she would concede Telangana with Hyderabad, TRS merger would be done within one minute. He said it was Sonia, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi or AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad who should talk about merger and not Madhu Yashki or V Hanumanta Rao.

Harish Rao also expressed his anger at Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar. He has alleged that the MP insulted even Mahatma Gandhiji by stating that it was because of the Nehru family that the country attained independence. He demanded an unconditional apology from Undavalli for insulting Gandhiji.
