Young rebel star Prabhas starrer ‘Mirchi’ is being directed by writer turned director Koratala Shiva as his debut is all set to release on 8th February. The audio released recently has got good reviews and is enjoyed by audience. Now there is new rumor flying around film nagar circles. Mirchi’s story is inspired from ‘Subhakankshalu’ movie with Jagapathy babu as hero. In that film, Jagapathy tries for the unification of two families for the girl he is in love with.

Now taking the similar point, Mirchi is scripted but with few changes in characters and some secondary plot. So we are going to see the same story in a different angle but with the energy of young rebel star Prabhas.

Rana and Prabhas begins preparation for Baahubali

Daggubati scion Rana and Young Rebel Star Prabhas had started their preparation for SS Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus Baahubali today. Prabhas, Rana and Anushka are eing trained in Sword fight under the supervision of SS Rajamouli for the movie. The ace director himself revealed this in twitter. He posted, “First day of sword fight training 4 Prabhas and Rana.with their height and jumps they looked like giants rather than humans.:) Even Anushka at 5’.10’’ looked their equal. Nice session. only problem is for the DOP to compose them in the frame..:)”

This movie will be jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media banner and will be presented by K Raghavendra Rao. Keeravani will be scoring the music.

Ram Charan – Chief Guest for Mr.Pellikoduku audio function

Sunil starer Mr.Pellikoduku movie audio function is all set to take place tomorrow at Shilpa Kala Vedhika. The makers of the movie had roped in Ram Charan as the Chief guest for the event. The makers of Mr.Pellikoduku are very close to mega family for a long time and also produced Ram Charan’s Racha recently. So, Charan immediately obliged their request.

The movie which is the official remake of Bollywood super hit movie, Tanu weds Manu is currently under post production. The makers are planning to release the movie on February 14th on the occasion of Valentines day. Isha Chawla who paired up with Sunil in his earlier movie Poolarangadu, is also romancing him in this movie. Mega Supergood Movies banner is producing this movie and Devi Prasad is the director. Veteran music director SA Rajkumar has composed the tunes for this film.

Hero Ram tumbles Once Again !

Bommarillu Bhaskar and Energetic hero Ram have teamed up for a mass entertainer with Ongole Gitta. The movie released today and opened to a disappointing talk. Bhaskar who is not having any hits after dream debut Bommarillu as his films Orange turned out to be disaster where as Parugu was an average film, Ram’s career is also not on high. This young and talented star after his debut with Devdas, scored hits like Ready and Kandireega however couldn’t scale the next level as his Endukante Premanta stopped short of success.

The movie was filled with outdated and predictable stuff and adding to it there is a lot of Tamil flavour on to it. Going by the early reports, this movie can be marked as Ram’s second straight flop.

Vikram’s Telugu market dipping to Zero!

With Shankar’s Aparachithudu, Vikram had created a market for himself in Telugu and from then all his movies are being dubbed in to Telugu and grabbed their share milking his popularity here. But Vikram had been slowly losing his ground in Telugu. His last few movies do not have proper release and publicity here. And his latest movie David seem to be following the same path.

The Tamil and Hindi version of the movie made it to theaters today but the release of Telugu version of the film has been postponed. Reason cited for the delay are technical glitches. Trade analysts say that Vikram will slowly miss out Telugu market if he does not have simultaneous release.

K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TRS president, has been voicing his feelings against the Telangana Congressmen. In fact he has been abusing and slamming them without any consideration of the Prime Minister.

The specific reason for such an antagonism is unknown. But it can be easily guessed that this reaction of K Chandrasekhar Rao is based on the Centre’s decision against the demand of Telangana, in which the Congress leaders played a key role.

However, it is interesting to find that in the recent past Telangana Congressmen and K Chandrasekhar Rao were friends. Now the Telangana Congressmen find themselves at the position of an enemy of K Chandrasekhar Rao. In the political circles, the caution was always in the wind that the Telangana Congressmen should stay away from K Chandrasekhar Rao. Therefore, the general reaction of the political circle is that the Telangana Congressmen are paying the price for being friendly with the leader, whose slamming has no match.

Shankar Rao sent to Barracks

Former Congress Minister Shankar rao arrested here in Hyderabad in land grabing case . News from the center is that the police officials belonging to Neredmet and Alwal police stations went to his residence in the evening and took him into custody.High tension prevailed at his residence, as Shankar Rao strongly resisted the attempts of the police to arrest him .

His wife told media that the police had not allowed him even to take his lunch and taken him away in the name of interrogation . We are very much aware of his sensational comments on the leaders of all parties in the past he even busted out on his own cabinet colleagues . He was charged with grabbing 875 plots in Greenfield Colony in Alwal using forged documents. The Greenfield Housing Society filed a case against him and his brother in the Malkajgiri Sessions Court alleging that the former minister had threatened the society leaders and prevented the officials from discharging their duties . He was booked under various sections including 120 (b), Section 420 cheating.

Synopsis:

Ongole Gitta is the story of an arrogant Mirchi trader White (Ram) in Guntur Mirchi Yard. Adhikeshavulu (Prakash Raj) is the Chairman of that market yard. White soon falls in love with Adikesavulu’s daughter Sandhya (Kriti Kharbandha) and asks Adikesavulu’s permission to marry her. As this saga unfolds, the local MLA (Ahuthi Prasad) hatches a conspiracy to shift the market yard to a new location for his own personal gains. When White and Adhikesavulu resists, White comes to know about his bitter past in which Adhikeshavulu topples Ram’s father Narayana (Prabhu) from the post of Market Yard chairman. And the rest of the story is all about what Ram does to avenge his past and the confrontation between him and Adhikeshavulu.

How they performed?

Ram is good in the role of White alias Dorababu. His character is a mix of his normal energy and shades of Bhaskar’s hero. There is a lot of maturity in his acting. As usual his dances are rocking and his performance in action sequences is admirable. Kriti Kharbhanda is super gorgeous and looked awesome on screen. Her acting skills are good. Unlike earlier Bhaskar movies, this movie do not have much of importance in the movie.

Prakash Raj is super cool in the character with grey shades. He carried out the role with grace but the nude scenes of him are totally unwanted and are irritating. Raghu Babu and TV9 Kishore Das’ comedy is good. Ali comedy is raw and massy. Jaya Prakash Reddy is good in a brief role as Prakash Raj’s father.

Technical Departments:

Love stories touching subtle human emotions are forte of Bhaskar since his debut. But he tread to a different path with this movie. The story line is a routine revenge story which was touched in numerous movies in the past. However, Bhaskar was not fully successful in execution of the story. There is too much of Tamil flavour every where from comedy to fights.There is utter confusion in both the script as well as the screenplay. And the film suffers from excessive Tamil nativity, especially from the interval onwards. The emotional bond between the father and son was not established strongly enough and as a result, viewers will find it tough to connect to the story.

Cinematography by A.Venkatesh is good. Bhaskar himself is a cinematographer earlier and he took care of this department with his knowledge. Editing by Marthand K.Venkatesh could have been a lot better. GV Prakash’s music is just average and songs are picturized well. Mani Sharma’s back ground score is good.

Final Say:

The first 25 minutes of the movie is okay with some comedy here and there. Suddenly Bhaskar lost his plot as the actual story unfolds just before the interval. The second half starts opening in to actual story but at the same time the Tamil flavour of the movie begins to dominate too much which does not go well with Telugu audience And then there is a completely predictable climax.

Bhaskar looks like is in a deep desperation to score a hit but he tumbled once again badly. Ongole Gitta is a half baked routine mass masala. Wait for DVD!

Kadali is getting ready to release

Jayalalitha defends ban on Vishwaroopam

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha who is in the center of controversy regarding Vishwaroopam ban issue has defended her Government’s stand as it was law and order problem. In a press conference she said as chief minister, it is her duty to maintain law and order problem in the state. More than 24 Muslim groups have given her petitions against the movie and there are fears of violence in the state if the movie is released.

However Kamal Hassan has decided not move to Supreme Court as he hopes for a positive outcome for his movie ‘Viswaroopam’, still he has hopes on the state Government for the settlement. Earlier the Madras high court has passed the judgment in favour of government to ban the movie as it would create law and problem in the state.

Harish Shankar goes on location hunt for NTR

Our readers are aware that NTR had finished the first schedule of Harish Shankar film and is on to his other project Baadshah. He will very soon wrap up Baadshah and totally focus on Harish Shankar movie. On ther other side, Harish Shankar is now on a location hunt along with cinematographer Chota K Naidu and Art director Brahma Kadali for the later schedules of the movie. Harish Shankar had done enough home work on the script and going to present NTR in a college back drop in the movie, a role which the actor did not portray for a long time.

Thaman is composing tunes for this movie. Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara films banner. Samantha and Shruti Hassan are the female leads. Chota K Naidu is handling the cinematography. The movie is being planned for a July 9th release.

Young Rebel Star Prabhas who disappointed fans with his last outing Rebel is all set to enthrall fans with Mirchi next week. The entire shooting activity of the movie was completed a long ago and now the post production activities of the movie are complete too. The first copy of the movie is expected to be ready today or tomorrow. The makers of the movie had booked a slot with the Censor Board early next week. The movie is expected to get the biggest release ever for a Prabhas movie when it releases on February 8th.

Mirchi is the debut directorial movie of famous writer Koratala Shiva and produced by Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati jointly on the banner of UV Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer of the movie. This film also stars Brahmanandam, Satyaraj, Aditya menon and Satyam Rajesh in other important roles.

Kamal Hassan tired in legal battle

Kamal Hassan seem to be tired in the legal battle against Vishwaroopam ban. Up on the re-appeal of the TN government, Madras High court had stayed the Single bench Judge’s interim order of revoking ban on Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam. The further hearing in this case were postponed till 6th February, meaning Vishwaroopam will not hit the screens at least until next Wednesday. Kamal’s lawyer pointed out that delaying the release further would lead to a terrible financial crisis for Kamal Haasan but his argument went in vain.

Legal experts have advised Kamal to go to the apex court for justice. But the actor had ruled out knocking the doors of Supreme and decided to settle the issue amicably through dialogue across the table. He is now meeting the Islamic groups objecting the movie and even offered to trim few objectionable scenes in the movie.

Naga Chaitanya relies on remakes for success

Naga Chaitanya’s career is currently in doldrums as all his recent movies Dhada, Bejawada failed miserably at the box office. So, thje young gun seem to be banking on remakes to steady his career. He is currently eying on three remakes – Vettai (Tamil), Welcome (Hindi) and Charminar (Kannada). Vettai remake is almost complete and his next under Srivas direction which is the remake of Bollywood film, Welcome will be going to sets very soon. And now the buzz in Tollywood scuttle butt machinery goes that he is reportedly impressed by a Kannada movie titled ‘Charminar’. While the project is not confirmed officially, sources say there is a good chance of this movie making to sets.

Charminar is an upcoming romantic drama written and directed and produced by R. Chandru featuring Prem Kumar and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead roles. The film deals with the life of a man in comparison with the famous monument Charminar in Hyderabad, that shows four important pillars including family, friends and lover.
