Sekhar Kammula’s Kahaani to begin shooting in March

Sekhar Kammula who is extremely popular among class audience, will be remaking Hindi Blockbuster movie, Kahaani. Nayantara will reprise the role of Bidya Bagchi played by Vidya Balan in the original. Sekhar Kammula is reportedly working on the script of the movie. Sekhar says he is not going to adapt the original version as it is but is making enough changes with out losing the fervor of the original.

Sekhar Kammula’s last outing Life is Beautiful did not yield the results which he would be proud of. So, he is keeping his head down and working on the script to make amends. The movie will begin the shooting proceedings from March. More details on this project later.

Ban on Viswaroopam: Kamal decides to go to courts

Its the time for a new issue for Viswaroopam after the DTH Release issue is solved, now few islamic groups are complaining that the movie is showing Muslims in bad light and is disturbing the communal harmony in the society. M H Jawahirullah, MLA and President, Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, said representatives of various Muslim organisations met the City Police Commissioner S George on Tuesday demanding that the screening of the movie be banned. Kamal had even offered to have a special screening of the movie to them but all his efforts went in vain.

And now yielding to the pressure of the Islamic groups, The Tamil Nadu Government had asked the makers of Viswaroopam to defer their movie release by 15 days. Kamal Hassan is reportedly shattered with the way his film, Viswaroopam is being treated. In this context, Kamal Hassan had written an open letter and assured that he would rely on law and logic for the support of his film.

Case registered on Bellamkonda Suresh

Senior Producer Bellamkonda Suresh is in news once again for one more bad reason. Film financier Radha Krishna had filed a complaint with Banjara Hills Police Station. Radha Krishna in his complaint states that he had a film agreement with Bellamkonda and given Rs.1 crore finance for the purpose. However, the producer not only ignored their agreement but also fails to return his money in full until now. When, he went to the producer’s house, he was manhandled by the producer, says the financier.

Last year, director Santosh Srinivas had lodged a complaint on Bellamkonda that the later had beat him and even threatened him with severe abuses. Finally, both the parties settled the issue amicably. Bellamkonda is currently producing Siddharth’s Jabardasth and Vettai remake starring Naga Chaitanya and Sunil. He is also planning movies with Nagarjuna and Balakrishna

Andhala Rakshasi to pair up with Vishnu

Andhala Rakshasi fame Lavanya who plundered the hearts of Telugu youth with her innocent looks in Andhala Rakshasi which released last year slowly disappeared after the movie bombed at the box office. And now she is back once again. This time she is going to pair up with Manchu Vishnu in a movie directed Veeru Potla. Recently, a photo shoot was done on Vishnu and Lavanya. The movie will go on to sets from February 15th. Currently, Veeru Potla is working on the script of the movie.

This project will be produced by Vishnu himself on his 24 frames factory banner. Mohan Babu will be presenting it. More details on this project are awaited.

Indian Idol winner Sri rama Chandra was kicked off from the shooting of his debut movie “Prema geema Janta nai”,news from the sources is that the shooting is going on Andhra University Library ,students of the andhra university kicked off the hero Sri rama Chandra from the spot saying that their studies aregetting disturbed a lot by the film shoot disturbance, and they argued that the shooting must not go on , Whether or not shooting permission was given, the unit came up with its paraphernalia to library and started working with its usual hue and cry.

R.V. Subbu is the director of the movie.Dadi Bala Bhaskar and Muddala Bhaskar are producing this film and director R.V. Subbu is making his debut. The movie is expected to be a youthful romantic entertainer. Shootings must not take place in schools,hospitals ,college premises and in offices ,instead they have to plan in film studios by providing sets or in outskirts is what the students said to the film unit members.

Baadshah shifts to Nagarjuna Sagar

The all crucial climax sequence of NTR’s Baadshah will be canned from tomorrow in Nagarjuna Sagar. It was supposed to begin today but the ongoing tension in old city had forced slight change in the movie schedule. An action sequence will be canned on Navdeep and NTR tomorrow. A few other scenes will also be canned in Vijaya Vihar, Anupu and Ettipothala waterfalls.With the completion of the climax, the talkie part shooting will be almost complete and there will be three songs left to be shot. The makers are planning to release the movie on March 29th.

Srinu Vaitla is directing the film and Kajal is playing the lead role opposite NTR once again. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music. After this film, NTR will join the sets of Harish Shankar’s film.

Viswaroopam Special Premiere in Los Angeles

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan’s Viswaroopam is finally going to see light on January 25th. All the three versions, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi are going to have a simultaneous release. The makers have also planned for the DTH release of the movie on February 2nd. And the other news is that Kamal Hassan is planning a grand premiere of the movie in Hollywood. The premiere will take place in Los Angeles on January 24th, a day before the theatrical release. The entire cast and crew of Viswaroopam will fly down to Los Angeles and attend the premiere. Several Hollywood celebrities are expected to attend it.

Dasari’s Siri media will be releasing the movie through out AP. The movie directed and enacted by Kamal Haasan himself features Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Rahul Bose, Shekar Kapur in key roles. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are the music composers.

No ‘T’ decision by January 28

AICC general secretary and state party affairs incharge Ghulam Nabi Azad has indicated that a solution to the Telangana issue might not be announced by January 28, as was being speculated.

Referring to the announcement of the home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde during the all-party meeting on December 28 that a decision would be announced in a month, Azad said the word ‘one month’ should not be taken as 30 days. It should be taken as ‘as early as possible’.

Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he said when some one says ‘one week’, it need not necessarily mean a week. It could mean two weeks also. He told the media that the Congress High Command was taking the issue seriously and would announce a solution at the earliest. He said Telangana was a serious and delicate issue and needed discussions. He said there was need for arriving at a decision at the national level and added that serious discussions were continuing on the issue. He said a decision could not be announced simply because the media asked for it. Stating that there were holidays on January 25, 26 and 27, Azad said discussions were in progress to find an early solution. When asked to state what he discussed with the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he refused to divulge the details.

Big B appreciates Zanjeer

Ram Charan is going to bear the weight of remaking a classic and that too for his debut Bollywood movie. He is remaking Amitabh Bachchan’s 1973 blockbuster movie Zanjeer. A good amount of shooting of the movie is completed and the makers are planning to release the trailer of the movie.Big B was reportedly shown the trailer of the movie and the legend of Indian cinema has some good words to tell about it on his social networking page. He tweeted, “Saw the first look trailer for ‘Zanjeer’ remake by Apoorva Lakhia .. dynamic and pretty damn good !!” So, in all probability Mega fans are in for a big treat!

The movie is the remake on 1973 blockbuster movie, Zanjeer. Priyanka Chopra is playing the female lead in the movie. Trisha to face anger of Hindus

Hindu activists of Munnani Party in Tamilnadu expressed anger on Actress Trisha for showing the drinking scenes in her latest tamil flick Samar ,Vetadu Ventadu (Telugu),the activists protested strongly for the removal of those scenes as scenes like that will spoil the culture of India . They has threatened to disrupt the shooting even in Hyderabad if she doesn’t apologize.

When questioned to actress Trisha she replied that “Directors want me to do such scenes ,they find May be it’s like a sentiment for filmmakers.I am just doing to the director’s words.” Talking offence to the drinking reference , the Hindu Munnani Party activists wrote to her to withdraw her comments are she is going to face the true anger of hindus. Nani joins the elite club of Mahesh, Ravi Teja and Prabhas

Actor Nani is all set to join the elite club of Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, Prabhas who lent their voice in the past to the movies of others. Mahesh did it for Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa, Ravi Teja did it for Sunil’s Maryada Ramanna, Prabhas did it for Vishnu’s Denikaina Ready and now Nani is doing it for Sundeep Kishan’s D for Dopidi. Going in to details. Nani had lent his voice for Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming movie D for Dopidi. He had already completed the dubbing too. “Thank @NameisNani for taking the time out to give the voiceover for #DforDopidi,Owe you 1 buddy 🙂 ,” Sundeep Kishan posted on Twitter.

The film has been directed by newcomer Siraaj and Raj & DK, who had earlier directed 99 & flavours, have produced the film. The film also stars Naveen, Rakesh and Melanie Kannokada in lead roles. Director Deva Katta has played a guest role as a cop and another director Raj Pippalla has also made a cameo. Mahesh Shankar has scored the music. The film will release in mid February as a Valentine’s Day special.

SA, ‘T’ leaders intensify lobbying in Delhi

With the Jan 28 deadline for a decision on the Telangana issue nearing, Congress leaders from Telangana and Seemandhra intensified their lobbying in the national capital respectively for and against division of Andhra Pradesh.

Leaders from Seemandhra (as Rayalaseema and Andhra regions are called) Tuesday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to impress upon him the need to keep the state united for its all-round development

The delegation, including ministers and MPs, submitted a memorandum opposing separate statehood to Telangana. They pointed out that there is backwardness in all the regions and said they have no objection if the central government extends a Gorkhaland-like package for Telangana.

Seemandhra leaders led by state minister S. Shailajanath demanded that the central government implement sixth option suggested by Srikrishna committee.

Under this option, the panel had suggested to the government to keep the state united and provide statutory measures to address the core socio-economic concerns about development of Telangana.

Seemandhra leaders also called on Congress general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is incharge of party affairs in the state. Azad reportedly voiced his unhappiness over the leaders making a beeline to Delhi, and told them to leave the issue to the party leadership and strengthen the organization for its victory in 2014 elections.

The leaders had Monday met Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who had declared after the Dec 28 all-party meeting on Telangana that the central government would announce its decision in a month.

Seemandhra leaders would be calling on President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday evening.

Telangana leaders, who also rushed to Delhi Tuesday, met Shinde and urged him to take a decision in favour of separate state by Jan 28. They demanded that the central government stand by its Dec 9, 2009 announcement to initiate the process for formation of Telangana state.

The Telangana delegation, including ministers, MPs and state legislators, told Shinde that four crore people of the region want their state with Hyderabad as its capital.

Minister D.K. Aruna said they made it clear that no alternative to a separate state would be acceptable to the people of Telangana.

Telangana leaders later held a meeting at the residence of central minister S. Jaipal Reddy to chalk out their future course of action.

Asaduddin’s bail plea rejected

Sangareddy court has rejected the bail petition of the MIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who was remanded to judicial custody in connection with a charge that he abused the then collector in 2005.

As Asaduddin had not responded to several court summons earlier, police were preparing to arrest him on a non-bailable warrant, when the MP surrendered before the court, He was remanded to judicial custody.

Asaduddin’s lawyers said they would once again move a bail application on January 24.

Asad’s brother and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is also facing the same charges. He was brought from the Adilabad jail and produced before the court last week.
