Mahesh Babu to endorse Royal Stag

Super Star Mahesh Babu was roped in by Royal Stag to endorse their brand for the entire South Indian market. In the past, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, M S Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and various other celebrities had endorsed the brand. Last year, Rana Daggubati was roped in to represent the brand and now Mahesh Babu is likely to replace him. It was told that, Mahesh Babu has been voted as No. 1 popular actor in a survey conducted by the multinational company. The superstar endorses products like Navratna Oil, Univercell, Amrutanjan, Provogue, Idea, Vivel and Jos Alukkas in Andhra Pradesh. Mahindra & Mahindra is the latest brand, which came his way.

Mahesh will very soon shoot for the TV commercial of Royal Stag and also a photo shoot will be done for the print ads. At present, Mahesh is riding on a high with the success of Dookudu and Business Man. His lined up projects, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Sukumar movie are promising too.

Vizag beauty planning a Film school

Vishakapatnam based actress, Soumya Bollapragada, who was last seen in Mugguru, , is planning to start a film school in Vishakapatnam. While there is no clear idea about her future plans, she hinted about the film school in Twitter, she wrote, “Applause school of film making launching in vizag… Affiliated to ramanaidu film school.”

Apart from films, Soumya is into theatre. She formed a theatre group ‘Applause, the theatre people’ a year ago in the city. The group has staged “Waiting for Godot” and “Alibaba”. They have even conducted a short film competition recently. She also has plans to revive her monthly magazine ‘Evoke’, which she had stopped a few years ago and to foray into direction in future. She will be very soon seen in Shankar Marthand’s directorial Poga. She had recently directed an English film which was written by Kona Venkat and is keen on directing more films.

Samantha to pair up with NTR

The confusion surrounding the female lead in NTR’s upcoming movie directed by Harish Shankar. While several names were doing rounds in media circles, the makers have given a clarification that Samantha is the chosen one. The movie will have one more heroine and the makers have to finalize one for it. Samantha is last seen beside NTR in Brindavanam and fans will be excited to seen their pair once again on screen.

The regular shooting of the movie will begin very soon. The movie will be produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara films banner. Dil Raju earlier produced NTR’s Brindavanam. Young Music Talent Thaman will compose the music.

Mahesh Babu is not Thuntari

The confusion regarding the title of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie under the direction is not yet cleared. Yesterday, a news spread like a wild fire that Thuntari is the title in consideration for the movie but the makers have condemned it.

Anil Sunkara, one of the producers of the movie had busted the rumours. He made it clear that the movie title is not confirmed. In his twitter page, he tweeted, “Mahesh– Sukumar title not at all finalized. Donot believe any things. The titles which are floating are not even considered.”

A new comer Kriti Sanon is pairing up with Mahesh in this movie. Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta are producing the film under 14 Reels Entertainments banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Rathnavelu is cranking the camera.

Kiran, Kishore’s Bauxite Boxing

Cong senior most Minister in Union Cabinet, Kishore Chandra Dev fired a letter missile both against CM Kiran and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana to Cong President. He in his letter blasted the ways of both Botsa and Kiran. It is known that he compared Botsa as mafia and liquor don while CM Kiran inefficient and inept. However Kishore neither accepted nor denied whether he wrote any letter but he only said that he wrote a note and not letter to Sonia.

But political analysts who are watching the developments say ongoing war between CM Kiran and Union Minister Kishore Chandra Dev took an ugly turn. Kishore long time back dashed off a letter to CM Kiran and AP Govt using his special powers to stop bauxite mining in tribal regions of Visakhapatnam. In the same time Kishore differed with Jhanjhavati Project along with Thermal Project in Komarada,Vijayanagaram. He was of the opinion that bauxite mining will increase naxal problem in the area.

Though CM Kiran is against cancellation of bauxite mining, work did not start there. However another Minister Satrucharla Vijayaramaraju questioned Kishore over the issue supporting CM Kiran. Cabinet Ministers also are peeved at Kishore’s letter and are planning to put united face. Kishore’s comments on Botsa who hails from same region also sent shock waves in Cong. Now Both Kiran and Botsa may be complaining soon against he minister.

Star heroes always have films in their hands no matter the result of their earlier films. The craze and demand for them among movie lovers and film makers never reduce. Politicians say peoples’ memory is short and this may be implied even to film industry. Fans memory is also very short and the moment their hero’s new film is announced they forget the result of the old film and wait eagerly for the new release.

Balakrishna,Venkatesh,Pawan Kalyan,NTR,Naga Chaitanya,Gopichand, Raviteja, Rana etc couldn’t mesmerise movie lovers with their last releases. Now they are keen to delight viewers and erase bad memories among them. Balakrishna after Simha deviated from his strengths and did ‘Ukodatara Ulikipadatara’,’Srimannarayana’ but failed to attract viewers. Similar is Venkatesh who failed in ‘Chintakayala Ravi’,’Nagavalli’,’Body Guard’. Balakrishna is making his moves carefully while Venky is starring in Shadow and Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

Nagarjuna’s son Nagachaitanya failed in Dada,Bezawada and is now trying his luck with Autonagar Surya.He is even starring in Vettai remake.even NTR couldn’t shake Box Office after Brindavanam with his expectations getting belied with Oosaravalli and Dammu. He is planning to become Badshah with his next venture. Raviteja scored string of flops and now all his hopes are pinned on Sar Ochcharu. Gopichand is also planning to come out of flops with Jackpot. His Wanted and Mogudu bombed at box office. Rana after Leader is looking for hit with Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Ram is also trying to change his luck as his Endukante Premanta failed. December good time for small films

Making of small films is an enigma. Taking a low budget film is one thing and getting it released is another thing. It is an ordeal to come out of the entire process successfully. Because small film makers will not find any buyers,distributors and even theaters won’t be available for screening that easily.

Film makers of high budget films with high profile star cast, top heroes book record number of theaters even before the release of their film resulting in non availability of theaters for small films. It is a different matter that top heroes films get postponed continuously for some or the other reason. Even when a low budget film is running successfully with decent collections theaters will take off the film if a top hero film is about to release. So small films, its star cast,producer,director and technicians will not get their due recognition.

However the sucess of Ee Rojullo,Oka Romantic Crime Katha,Mem Vayasuku Vachcham,Bus Stop changed the scenario a little bit with distributors getting ready to release small films. Analysts say december is the good month to release small films as the month may not see the release of star heroes films. They advocate that with careful planning if a small film is released in december, it can achieve success.

Balakrishna following Pawan Kalyan?

Natasimha Balakrishna till recently been busy shooting for his films but suddenly there was no news from him and many fear that he may call quits even before he completes three more films and score a century before making his dream political entry. In the mean time there are rumors going around in film nagar that Balakrishna is contemplating a powerful political entertainer much before the general elections so that it would boost his chances increasing his support base among fans and people for him and his party TDP.

As such he is keenly analysing Maratha tiger Bal Thackery who breathed last couple of days back. It came as surprise that Maharashtra state accorded him full state honors though he did not enjoy fruits of power. Entire political fraternity, business class and bollywood dignitaries paid rich tributes to him. Thousands thronged showcasing the love and affection for him.

However many feel that Balakrishna is treating Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s way and if he is not careful then he will be burning his fingers. Collection King Mohan Babu always prides himself of being strict,disciplined,principled and boasts that he has mould himself on the lines of Nataratna NTR who is renowned for his principles and punctuality. He says in all his institutions he never asks caste or creed from those who come seeking admission. He is however notorious for slapping and dragging his daughter when she tried to marry a person of her choice who happened to be from different caste.

When his darling daughter Manchu Lakshmi was cast in maverick director Ram Gopal Varma’s Dongala Mutha, buzz was that he warned Ramu with dire consequences if he shows his daughter in undignified manner. Now it seems his moral ground is fast crumbling with Manchu Lakshmi all set to do an item number in Maniratnam’s prestigious venture Kadal. Kadal features Kartik’s son Gautam and Radha’s son Tulasi. Lakshmi is playing an important role in the film.

Sources reveal that she will be seen in character with negative shades and to the top of it she will be dancing to a special song. Though Lakshmi denied doing item number already the news created sensation. Mohan Babu is already courted controversies and he may not wish to enter into another controversy so soon.

Andhra Pradesh state politics are going to witness dramatic developments in the month of December. According to insiders top Congress and TDP leaders are planning to take key decisions regarding their future in political arena. Buzz is many MPs,MLAs and other leaders are bracing to switch from their respective parties. Most of them are planning to jump into Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP while some in telangana region are also considering the option of joining TRS. So in December Andhra Pradesh is all set to witness huge exodus from various parties.

Many leaders are in touch directly with YS.Jagan and if not other top leaders in YSRCP. Some also are in touch with TRS chief KCR. In a surprising development even in telangana region many leaders are favoring to join YSRCP rather than TRS. While KCR himself is planning to shift to Nalgonda constituency this time, many from Nalgonda are planning to join YSRCP. Former Minister and MLA Komati Reddy Venkatreddy, his brother Bhuvanagiri MP KOmatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and their supporters MLAs Lingayya, Balu Nayak are all set to join YSRCP. Couple of days back they even met YV.Subbareddy and informed him that they would join party when Sharmila’s padayatra enters Nalgonda.

Buzz is even Guttasukhender Reddy, Nagarkurnool MP Manda Jagannadham is also planning to leave Cong. However he is yet to decide whether it should be YSRCP or TRS. TDP’s chittorr MP Siva Prasad who praised Jagan along with other leaders will be joining YSRCP. Congress Prince and PM in waiting Rahul Gandhi has taken serious note of Andhra Pradesh slipping out of the party’s hands. He realised that to gain power at Center and realise his dream of becoming PM, winning Andhra Pradesh is important. The state played key role in Govt formation at Center by sending more than 30 MPs on both occasion thanks to the dynamic leadership of YSR.
The death of YSR created a huge vacuum which Cong thought of filling with its own select few leaders ignoring the popularity of his son YS.Jagan. However it did not pay dividends and even after sending Jagan to jail, dissent in the party did not reduce.

Rahul set up committees and even sent his trusted observers to state but various factions and groups started fighting in front of them itself. Rahul now plans to come to the sate and guage the situation first hand rather than bank on reports. Buzz is he is ready with AP formula and sources reveal that it is similar to the one he implemented in UP. His close aides are of opinion that though it failed in UP, the same formula will work in AP and cite reasons that except for TDP ruling the stae for some time, only Cong was in power. However Rahul will be eating humble pie if he underestimates the power of Jagan.

SVSC Bhadrachalam set is now the talk of Tollywood

Art director Prakash had erected a magnificent set of Bhadrachalam Sri Ram Temple in Ramoji film city. The climax of Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is being shot there for the past few days. The shooting there will go on till 23rd of this month and with the movie shooting will be complete except 2 songs and patch work.The audio of the movie will release on December 13th on the occasion of Venkatesh’s Birthday and the movie release is planned for January 11th, 2013.

It can be remembered that Charminar set in Mahesh’s Okkadu, Madhura Meenakshi temple set in Arjun and Athadu House set in Athadu had gained similar popularity and ignited curiosity in the audience.

The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Thuntari is the title under consideration for Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie under the direction of Sukumar. the movie. However, an official announcement of the film is expected shortly. The film has been shot in Goa recently and the next schedule of the film will begin from tomorrow in Hyderabad.

Touted to be a psychological drama, the tentatively titled Thuntari casts Mahesh Babu, Kristi Sanon in the lead roles and is being produced by Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta on 14 Reels Entertainments banner. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography is by Ratnavelu.

I will never do an item song: Manchu Lakshmi

Collection King Mohan Babu’s daughter Lakshmi Manchu had refused the rumours of doing an item song in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal. She added that she will never consider doing an item song. Lakshmi is reportedly playing a village belle portraying a dark role.

Kadal is directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film features debutant Gautham Karthik, son of actor Karthik and debutant Thulasi Nair, daughter of Radha in the lead roles and will also be dubbed and released simultaneously in Telugu as Kadali. AR Rahman is composing the music.

Delhi Belly’s remake titled Naughty Boys

It is know that UTV Motion Pictures is remaking Imran Khan starer Delhi Belly in Tamil and Telugu. The film has been under shoot from sometime and is 70% complete. The songs in the film are recently canned in the locales of Switzerland.

While the Tamil version has been titled as Settai, the Telugu version is now titled as Naughty Boys. The film casts Arya, Hansika and Anjali in chief roles.

Kannan, Mani Ratnam’s associate is directing Naughty Boys while Thaman is composing the music. The movie also casts Ali, Santhanam and Nassar in pivotal roles.

Will changes affect Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut?

Ram Charan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1973 blockbuster movie, Zanjeer and the actor is reportedly giving his 100% to make a mark on the Hindi land. On the other side, we hear that director Apoorva Lakhia is making some crucial changes in the movie script. He had roped in Atul Kulkarni for one of the crucial roles in the movie. The role isn’t there in the original version but Apoorva Lakhia has penned the new characterization. It has to be seen if this changes do help/damage the movie in any way.

Atul will enter the shoot from this month end. Atul Kulkarni played a negative role in Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s earlier released Panjaa movie. The movie had already completed two schedules and the third is currently in progress in Hyderabad.

Saarocharu gets a Release date

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is all set to test his luck once again with ‘Sarocharu’ after a series of debacles. The movie is extensively shot in Italy, Ooty, Switzerland and Hyderabad. The shooting is complete except for one song. The remaining song will be completed very soon and the movie will hit the screens worldwide on December 21st.

Kajal Agarwal and Richa Gangopadhyay are the female leads in the movie. Parasuram is directing the film and this is his second film with Ravi Teja after Anjaneyulu. Priyanka Dutt is producing the film under Three Angels Studio Pvt Ltd banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Vijay K Chakravarthi is the cinematographer.
