RamCharan’s rocking career took a slump all of a sudden with his hyped movie ‘Orange’ going rotten at Box Office. Even before this movie, he has taken considerably long time to commit a film as he basked in the glory of ‘Magadeera’ for months. After ‘Orange’, Charan signed ‘Merupu’ which got no lightning but sound in it. There came Chiru to put things on track. Apparently, Chiru brainwashed his star-kid to not waste time by thinking unnecessarily about quality and meaningful cinema. Megastar forced Charan to accept ‘Racha’, because he knows the power of mass-movies quite well.
With those tips given by dad, Charan is now shocking everyone with his travelling through multiple projects at same time after scoring a hit with ‘Racha’. He is going to work back to back on VV Vinayak movie, Yevadu and Zanjeer. What do you say guys?

While all the details are being kept under wraps, here is a small leak. It is heard that the love birds are looking at Greece as their destination. The country has been known for its picturesque beauty and calmness in the atmosphere which makes it a peaceful haven for newly married couple.
Buzz is that Cherry would be sailing away to the Argosaronic Islands and also involve in some river rafting in the famous Voidomatis river. Of course, no confirmations have been given on this one but one thing looks sure, the couple is eyeing Europe to be their place for the honeymoon vacation. Let us see what happens.

Dharuvu in Title controversy!

Controversies on Telugu movie titles had became common in Tollywood. And the latest in the list is Ravi Teja’s Dharuvu. ‘Dharuvu’ Cultural association President Dharuvu Ellanna claimed that the word Dharuvu is the name of a cultural association in Telangana striving for the cultural protection in Telangana and it is an insult to Telangana culture to put the name to a vulgar film. They served an ultimatum to change the title of the movie or face consequences. A hand full of agitators stormed in to Prasad Labs where the movie audio function is taking place and raised slogan to change the movie title.
Finally, the police entered the scene and forced them out of the venue

Charan’s Zanjeer remake in trouble once again!

Looks like the muhurath of Charan’s Bollywood debut was done on an inauspicious day. Troubles are haunting the movie non stop since then. The movie’s original script writer Javed Akthar had hired a legal team to drag the producer Amit Mehra to courts. They claimed that Amit was not professional enough to solve the issue amicably and later went to the media claiming he has got the clearance from them. The writers say that this leaves them with no option than dragging them to courts.
They claim that they have given the rights of the movie to Prakash Mehra to make the movie only once. They were also paid for the Tamil remake rights in 1974.

Genelia in legal trouble!

Andhra Pradesh High court had issued notices to actress Genelia D’Souza in a cheating case. A person named Tirupataiah filed a case saying saying he bought the plots near Maheshwaram in Rangareddy district only because of the brand ambassador, Genelia trusting her word in the advertisements.
Going in to the details, Genelia was then the brand ambassador of a real estate firm ‘Anjaniputra Infrastructure’. The firm sold land plots to people and later shut down its operations.
The Police registered the case against seven people from Anjaniputra Infrastructure including Genelia. The court asked the actress to appear before the bench personally.

Tollywood overtakes Kollywood !

Tollywood emerges as the Number two in the country in making the most number of feature films in an year. In the latest CBFC Report in the year 2011 Bollywood had produced the most number of movies in the country, 206. Following next is the Telugu Film Industry which had produced 192 films while the Tamil industry produced 185 films.
In 2010, Kollywood took the No. 2 spot with 202 films while Tollywood manages to make 181 films.

They are the petite beauty Trisha and the gracious beauty Nayanthara. Apparently, Trisha was having a peaceful life after Nayanthara had decided to quit movies. However, the twist occurred due to Nayan’s breakup with Prabhu Deva and right now she is on a comeback mode with vengeance. True to her demand, Nayanthara is being flooded with offers from Telugu and Tamil.
All this has struck a major blow to Trisha’s career and her chances of bagging more offers. There is also a talk that a similar competition has begun to erupt between the two even in brand endorsement and ad circuit. Only time will tell who among the two will emerge successful. Well, Pawan is arriving as a rustic cop with mass appeal through his film ‘Gabbar Singh’ and this is happening soon. On the other hand, Charan has just begun shooting for his movie ‘Zanjeer 2’ which will see him portraying a rather intense and tough police officer who is honest and straightforward.
Given the fact that both ‘Babai’ and ‘Abbai’ are doing similar roles many are waiting to see who would do better. Most of them say it would be Pawan’s role which will be entertaining and successful. However, there are those who say Charan will rock with his intensity. What do you say folks?

Racha gets part of Top 3 in Collections !

Mass movies will never impress critics and they don’t get better reviews from anyone, but if they strike the right chords with the target audience, then sky is the limit. Most of the frontline critics have written off Racha as a poorly made film, but they failed to read the commercially viable elements in the film. That is the reason why the film got super hit talk right from the first show.
Other heroes fans and the people who have written it off waited for the film to slow down after first weekend. But Racha’s racha continued until the first week records were shattered. Even then it hasn’t slowed down. The collections on 13th day are steady without a hint of drop. 2 weeks collections of Racha will stand above 2 weeks collections of Businessman, which is currently in the 3rd spot in all time hits list.
After Magadheera (70+ crores), Dookudu (55+ crores) only Businessman managed to cross 40 crore mark and it is right now in the third position. But Racha is going to take its place for sure as per the collections trend. There will not be any strong opposition for Racha in its third week too. Therefore the dream run will continue until Dammu arrives. Which means Racha in all probabilities will make it to top 3 list. Of course if Dhammu clicks and reach the expectations then Racha’s third rank would be at stake. Who knows even Dookudu might be toppled if not Magadheera.

I have no connection with ‘3’ – Rajanikanth

Finally, Rajinikanth released a press notification revealing his connection with ‘3’ movie. Recently there has been speculation in the media that Rajinikanth is compensating the distributors of ‘3’ movie, especially in Andhra Pradesh. Superstar denied all that news as a false.
He clearly issued a statement that he has no commercial connection with her daugther’s movie. Rajni requested all the distributors not to believe in such rumors.
Already, Cine observers are saying that there is no connection between Rajini and this movie. They have alleged that it is the work of some producers in Tollywood in creating rumors that their money has been returned by Rajini.

Nayantara is now the highest paid actress in Tollywood !

After snapping ties with Prabhudeva, Nayantara is on a signing spree to resume her second innings. She had signed three movies in Telugu now. One is Rana’s Krishnum Vande Jagadgurum, Gopi chand’s movie and Nagarjuna – Dasaradh movie. She is currently raining offers in the South. The actress is currently being paid highest among all the Telugu heroines. She is reportedly charging 1.15 Crores for each movie.
The second highest is Anushka who is charging 1 Crore for each movie. It it is also heard that Balayya is eyeing Nayantara once again for a new project. After the success of their previous movies – Sri Rama Rajyam and Simha.

Kevvu Keka song stolen from Thaman ?

Prabhas’s Rebel is supposed to go to Bangkok for a song shoot this week. This is a song shoot where Prabhas teases Tamannah. This was expected to be the highlight song of the film starting with the lyrics Kevvu Keka. But the unit had suddenly cancelled the schedule.The reason behind the cancellation is very shocking. The song Kevvu Keka, which was composed by Taman for Rebel, was the same Kevvu Keka song of Gabbar Song. Both songs even start with the same lyrics Kevvu Keka. 70-80% of both the songs are same which can not be a coincidence.
In fact, This song was composed before Thaman walked out of the project. And now it is unclear how it went to DSP’s desk who is the music director for Gabbar Singh

Why is Prabhas Rebel being Delayed ?

Prabhas’ Rebel was in wrong news from the day the movie muhurtham took place. Firstly, the female lead Anushka and later music director Thaman walked out of the project. People say that the director Lawerence tantrums were the reason for the movie delay. The movie is currently 15 months in production.
The latest cause of delay is Tamannah. She is never allocating enough dates for the movie. Tamanna allocated bulk of the dates to ‘Racha’ and ‘Endukante Premanta’. She had allocated random dates to the movie. Thereby, delaying the entire project. The movie talkie part is 80% complete. According to sources, The audio of the movie is going to release on June 24th and the movie will be released on July 6th.

A visibly angry Chiranjeevi went on to give a big speech on how some sections of media trying to project their family in bad light. He launched a scathing attack on journalists who resorted to investigative journalism and there by trying to ‘Character assassinate’ his family.
However, what surprised every one is Pawan Kalyan did not try to condemn any of these in his speech. He kept his speech simple praising the fans and assuring them good entertainment from Gabbar Singh. Many feel that the issue is not all over.

The Hindi remake of Anushka’s Arundathi was on cards for quite some time now. There were early rumours that Anushka will herself reprise the role from the original. However, it did not materialize. Gemeni Film Circuit who are well known for remaking Bollywood movies in Telugu are planning to remake this movie in Hindi. They have screen tested several heroines like Katrina Kaif, Rani Mukherjee and others and finally opted to go with Kareena.
Off late, Kareena has been highly concentrating on heroine oriented movies. She is reportedly watching the movie in DVD and is in great admiration for Anushka’s acting. She even wants to meet Anushka in person to get some tips from her.

Item songs have become the culture of any film and they are more the USP for drawing the attention of the masses. Now, the film ‘Gabbar Singh’ is picking up the heat and even the makers of this one are relying on the item song without taking any chance. And their efforts seem to be working out.
The audio release has happened and the item song ‘Kevvu Keka…’ is shaking Andhra Pradesh. The voices for the song were rendered by Mamta Sharma and Krish Murali while the lyrics are penned by Sahiti. Devi Sri Prasad has churned out some heart stopping mass beats for this number which struck a chord with the listeners.
The typical nativity masala is complete in the song and the energy is very high. The youth are going crazy and the reactions from Pawan Kalyan fans are beyond words. The item song has surely done its magic and taken the film in a positive direction. Let us hope even the film has enough masala to appease all genres of audience.

Is Jr NTR next to Mahesh in the Race ?

In January, when Mahesh broke records with Businessman, right after scoring a blockbuster with Dookudu, many felt that he is the next number one hero of Tollywood after Chiranjeevi. When Mahesh fans firmly believe in their star’s potential and when other heroes fans are slowly getting convinced by it, in came Racha and the debate about number one is on again.
Ram Charan posed serious doubts to the people who have written him off from the number one race. With a very weak script and an almost unknown director Ram Charan pulled off a mega heist at the box office with Racha. This shows his caliber and crowd pulling capabilities. Now who all have given full credit to Rajamouli for Magadheera’s success are giving Ram Charan his due. As of now anybody among Mahesh, Pawan, NTR and Charan can be the next number one.
Only thing that counts is consistency. Mahesh never delivered more than couple of hits in a row. Pawan used to be immensely consistent in the past and NTR’s biggest weakness has been inconsistency. Charan needs to deliver a series of hits to be up there. Until then whoever breaks the first week records with their star power will be considered the number 1 until some other hero come and breaks it. NTR is in the queue and stands a big chance to be the next number one as per this theory. All he needs is a 30+ crore share in the first week!

Pawan’s GS Trailer is not up to the expectations ?

Pawan Kalyan fans are happy that Gabbar Singh audio has been received well by the general public. Despite the deja vu feel, the audio has the beats to entertain the listeners. Pilla and Kevvu Keka song are making enough noise everywhere. However, Power fans aren’t happy with Gabbar Singh as the theatrical trailer was very weak.
The taking looked pretty ordinary and the dialogues in the trailer are not up to the mark. Except for popular dialog from Gabbar Singh’s Thikka teaser, nothing is worth mentioning. Besides, Pawan Kalyan’s dialog delivery when uttering “Naa Thikkento Choopistha, Mee Lekkalanni telustha” was very weak. Even hardcore fans of Pawan are not impressed with this one.
On the other hand Dammu and Eega theatrical trailers were awesome and raising expectations on those respective films. But Gabbar Singh’s first 90 Seconds trailer turned out to be a disaster. Maybe cutting the trailer in hurry could’ve been the reason for this problem. It is high time that Harish Shankar comes up with a better trailer to increase the hype. Audiences nowadays are too clever and directors should think a notch higher than them to draw huge openings.

Manisha’s come back as Ghost !

One man who has been good at giving sleepless nights for the wrong reasons is Ram Gopal Varma. Though RGV has given many ghost stories till now, only very of them are applauded.
It is heard that Ramu has decided to come up with a sequel to his hit movie ‘Bhoot’. This time, he has roped in the voluptuous Manisha Koirala to do an important role. This means that Manisha has replaced Urmila Matondkar who did the original.
Sources say he is making this film in 3D. Mumbai sources reveal that the shooting has already begun and a six year old girl will have a crucial part in this venture. It is after a long gap that Ramu is arriving with a horror flick let us see how this shivers us.
