కరీనాకపూర్ ఖాన్-అలియాభట్ ఇద్దరి మధ్య వయసు వ్యత్యాసం చాలా ఉంటుంది. ఇద్దరు ఒక తరం నటులు కాదు. అలియా కన్నా కరీనా చాలా సీనియర్. కానీ ఆ బ్యూటీలిద్దరు చాలా క్లోజ్ అని తెలుస్తోంది. ఇద్దరు తొలిసారి ‘ఉడతా పంజాబ్’ సినిమాలో నటించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఆ సినిమా మంచి విజయం సాధించింది. మళ్లీ ఆ కాంబినేషన్ లో సినిమా రాలేదు. సాధారణంగా హీరోయిన్ల కాంబినేషన్స్ అనేవి పెద్దగా సెట్ కావు. చాలా రేర్ గా జరుగుతుంటాయి.
తాజాగా సోషల్ మీడియాలో అలియాభట్-కరీనా ఒక ప్రేమ్లో ఉన్న ఫోటో ఒకటి వైరల్ అవుతుంది. ఆ ఫోటోని ఉద్దేశించి ‘ఇది మరింత మెరుగుపడుతుందా’? అని అలియా భట్ – కరీనా కపూర్తో చెవిలో గుస గుసలాడింది. ఆ ఫోటో ఇప్పుడు నెట్టింట వైరల్ అవుతోంది. దీంతో వాళ్లసాన్నిహిత్యాన్ని గమనించిన దర్శక-నిర్మాత.. ఇద్దరికి కామన్ ప్రెండ్ అయిన కరణ్ జోహార్ “ఈ తారాగణంతో మాకు ఒక చిత్రం కావాలి” అని రాసాడు.
దీనికి నటుడు అర్జున్ కపూర్ ‘పూ స్క్వేర్’ అని రాశారు. ఈ చిత్రాల్ని పంచుకుంటూ ఇలా అలియా ఇలా రాసింది. ‘దయచేసి ఎవరైనా మమ్మల్ని ఓ చిత్రంలో నటింపజేయాలి? అని కోరింది. ఇలా ఆ ముగ్గరి మధ్య సరదా సంభాషణ జరిగింది. అయితే ఆ ఫోటో ఎప్పుడు దిగింది? ఎక్కడ దిగారు? అన్న వివరాలు మాత్రం అలియా భట్ రివీల్ చేయలేదు. ఈ కామెంట్లపై కొందరు దర్శక-నిర్మాతలు తప్పకుండా ఛాన్స్ ఇస్తామని కామెంట్లు పోస్ట్ చేసారు.
ఆ ఇద్దరి కాంబినేషన్ లో త్వరలోనే ఓ సినిమా వస్తుందని ఆశిస్తున్నామని అభిమానులు పోస్టులు పెట్టారు. కొంత మంది ఈ ఫోటో ఉడతా పంజాబ్ చిత్రం కంటే ముందు దిగి ఉంటుందని గెస్ చేస్తున్నారు. లేకపోతే అలియాభ్ పాత ఫోటోతో కొత్త కాంబినేషన్స్ అడగదని సందేహిస్తున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం అలియాభట్ నటిగా బిజీగా ఉన్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. బాలీవుడ్ తో పాటు హాలీవుడ్ లోనూ సినిమాలు చేస్తోంది. తెలుగు సినిమా అవకాశాలు క్యూలో ఉన్నాయి.
యష్ కోసం తెలుగు నిర్మాతల ఆరాటం..!
కన్నడ పరిశ్రమ రేంజ్ పెంచిన హీరో యష్ K.G.F తో సంచలనాలు సృష్టించాడు. ఆ సినిమా నుంచి పాన్ ఇండియా రేంజ్ లో సత్తా చాటేలా ప్రస్థానం మొదలు పెట్టారు. ఆ సినిమా బాటలో చాలా సినిమాలు కన్నడ సినిమా స్టామినా చూపించాయి. KGF 1, 2 రెండు భాగాలు బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ హిట్లు గా నిలిచాయి. కె.జి.ఎఫ్ తో డైరెక్టర్ గా ప్రశాంత్ నీల్ పాన్ ఇండియా క్రేజ్ తెచ్చుకోగా హీరోగా యష్ కూడా భాషతో సంబంధం లేకుండా ఫ్యాన్స్ ని ఏర్పరచుకున్నాడు.
KGF చాప్టర్ 1, చాప్టర్ 2 రెండు సినిమాలతో నేషనల్ లెవెల్ లో బీభత్సమైన ఫ్యాన్ ఫాలోయింగ్ ఏర్పరచుకున్నాడు యష్. కె.జి.ఎఫ్ తర్వాత నెక్స్ట్ సినిమా కోసం కాస్త ఎక్కువ టైం తీసుకున్నాడు యష్. కాంబినేషన్ సెట్ అయినా ఇంకా యష్ నెక్స్ట్ సినిమా షూటింగ్ మొదలు కాలేదు. అయితే కె.జి.ఎఫ్ తో వచ్చిన క్రేజ్ తో తెలుగులో కూడా యష్ కి స్టార్ రేంజ్ వచ్చింది. ఇక్కడ మేకర్స్ కూడా యష్ తో సినిమాలు చేయాలని చూస్తున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా దిల్ రాజు యష్ తో ఒక పాన్ ఇండియా సినిమా ప్లానింగ్ లో ఉన్నారు.
కొన్నాళ్లుగా డిస్కషన్స్ లో ఉన్నా సరే యష్ డైరెక్ట్ తెలుగు సినిమా ముహూర్తం బయట పడట్లేదు. యష్ క్రేజ్ ని క్యాష్ చేసుకునే ప్రయత్నంలో తెలుగు దర్శక నిర్మాతలు ఉన్నారు. యష్ ఓకే అంటే చాలు కానీ ఇక్కడ రెండు మూడు ఆఫర్లు రెడీగా ఉన్నాయి. యష్ తో సినిమా అంటే పాన్ ఇండియా లో హంగామా షురూ అయినట్టే. మరోపక్క యష్ తో KGF 3 కూడా ఉంటుందని అంటున్నారు. ప్రశాంత్ నీల్ ప్రస్తుతం సలార్ 1 ని పూర్తి చేసి సలార్ 2 గ్యాప్ లో కె.జి.ఎఫ్ 3 సిద్ధం చేస్తాడని తెలుస్తుంది.

‘Jawan’ Getting A Thunderous Response Already!
King Khan Shah Rukh Khan is all set to arrive with ‘Jawan’ on September 7th. This massive action entertainer is carrying a lot of expectations. His spy thriller ‘Pathaan’ which arrived in January turned out to be a huge blockbuster and minted over 1000 crores at the box office. He is gearing up to flex his stardom once again with ‘Jawan’. The first two songs and the trailer got a thunderous response from the public.
With less than 20 days left, the advance bookings have begun in foreign locations like UAE, USA, Australia and the UK. Sources say that 4,800 tickets were sold in 289 locations in the USA which is quite huge. As the release date approaches, the number of theatres will increase and pundits predict that ‘Jawan’ is going to have a magnum opus opening.
It is expected to cross the opening day collections of SRK’s previous flick ‘Pathan’. Thalapathy Vijay will be seen giving an impactful appearance in ‘Jawan’. Atlee made ‘Theri’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Bigil’ with Vijay and they have a strong bond. So, there are predictions that Vijay is playing a special cameo in the movie.
Nayanthara is the heroine in this flick. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover and others are also a part of this movie. Gauri Khan is bankrolling this film under ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’ banner. GK Vishnu is the director of photography while Ruben is the editor. Star composer Rockstar Anirudh is giving the music for this high-budget action drama.
Can Boyapati Deliver With A Young Hero?
Boyapati Sreenu is regarded as the biggest mass director in Tollywood as of now. His blockbusters like Bhadra, Tulasi, Simha, Legend, Sarrainodu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka and recent ‘Akhanda’ stand as big examples. He is known for his mass masala entertainers which makes the frontbenchers go crazy. No film of Boyapati’s has won the love of film critics but action lovers and fans of star heroes usually love seeing his elevation scenes and gravity-defying action sequences.
After a debacle like ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’, the star director bounced back with Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda’. The film was filled with violence and action but people loved it for some reason. Now that his ‘Skanda’ with Ram Pothineni is all set to release on September 15th, people are curious to know if he can deliver a hit with a young hero. Boyapati made ‘Dhammu’ with NTR which was a failure and people criticized that it was way over-the-top. He made ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ with Ram Charan and he received the same complaints.
Even ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ too did not impress a lot of people. Boyapati Sreenu is known for his gravity-defying scenes but one cannot make the same kind of film with every hero. Many say that the films that work with Balakrishna will not work with young heroes. The promos of ‘Skanda’ too promise over-the-top action and Boyapati mark dialogues from Ram this time. The ‘Ready’ hero is known for his youthful looks and we need to see if people accept him as a Boyapati hero or not.
We need to see if Boyapati had a change of style in terms of the story or if he followed the same template of filmmaking once again. Sreeleela is the heroine in this movie while Thaman is the music composer. There is a decent buzz on this movie.
New Challenge For Senior Heroes Now!
We consider Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh as the four pillars of Tollywood. While stars like Pawan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun and Charan are the bigger stars now and scoring pan-Indian hits, the way the senior heroes carried the film industry in the 80s, 90s and 2000s is unforgettable. They are the inspiration to young heroes and they are setting an example even today with their dedication and hard work.
The main challenge the four of them are facing right now is their age. A lot of people are expecting them to play their age. Chiranjeevi is 67 years old who is enjoying the success of his son and he has a lot of grandkids. But he is still playing regular commercial hero roles who dances with young heroines in the movies. It is no longer acceptable and ‘Bholaa Shankar’ proved it. The audience are not interested in seeing such films.
Venkatesh was the first one to change himself as he was seen playing the role of a father for two daughters in ‘Drushyam’ which came 9 years ago. He played an elderly role in ‘Narappa’ too. But these two films are remakes and the writers in Tollywood need to come up with mature roles for these senior heroes. He is playing a middle-aged role in ‘Saindhav’ which will be released in December.
Nagarjuna is referred to as ‘Manmadhudu’ right for the past three decades. He is still very handsome but he cannot play the same roles even after crossing sixty. His son Naga Chaitanya is 36 years old while Akhil is 29. Barring ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, none of his films succeeded in the past few years. His movies like ‘Ghost’ and others were disasters. Many are suggesting the senior heroes to take inspiration from Tamil legends like Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan who scored blockbusters with ‘Jailer’ and ‘Vikram’ respectively. Both the stars played the role of grandfathers in the movie. We need to see if our senior heroes change their style or not.
Huge Pressure On Two Young Heroes In September!
September is going to be filled with a lot of interesting movies and the filmy buffs are going to have a blast in theatres. The month starts off with Vijay Deverakonda’s romantic drama ‘Khushi’. The songs were a huge hit and there are good expectations on this flick. It is followed by SRK’s ‘Jawaan’ next week which is very huge and Ram is arriving with ‘Skanda’ on 15th September. At the end of the month, there is ‘Salaar’ for which everyone is waiting for.
Keeping the huge stars like SRK and Prabhas aside, two young heroes are arriving with pan-Indian films. While VD is trying to bounce back after a disaster like ‘Liger’, Ram is also planning to get back in form after a failure like ‘Warriorr’. Both ‘Khushi’ and ‘Skanda’ are arriving with a huge buzz. They are completely in contrast with one another but their result is equally important for both the heroes.
Together, they made a pre-release business of around 120 crores. ‘Khushi’ has good songs, Samantha as the heroine and a big banner like Mythri Movie Makers on its side. Sources say that the pre-release business summed up to 55-60 crores. The team is making sure that it gets maximum collections before Anushka’s ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ and Shah Rukh’s ‘Jawaan’ arrives.
On the other hand, ‘Skanda’ has a big mass director like Boyapati Sreenu. This is his immediate film after the blockbuster ‘Akhanda’ and the most happening beauty Sreeleela is the heroine. It is an out-and-out mass action entertainer. The two songs looked good with the lead actors rocking the dance floor. The pre-release business is the same as ‘Khushi’ but ‘Skanda’ doesn’t have any big release immediately after it releases which is favorable.
While all of this is good, the heroes should bring back such huge money. More importantly, they should get a positive talk on the first day. It looks like Ram and Vijay are arriving with huge targets to achieve. Let us wait and see what happens.
Vishnu Blames The ‘Snake’ Batch For Trolls!
We all know that people from the film industry are very much exposed to trolling. While they are enjoyable to some extent, there are many trolls who cross the line and hurt the celebrities. A lot of industry folks were affected by these trolls and we have seen Manchu family members complaining to the police regarding the trolls on them during ‘MAA’ celebrations.
We have seen Vishnu saying that he knows who is targeting them and called them ‘Snake’ batch. He claims that he ignores such trolls but reminded everyone that people are getting disturbed and affected by such trolls. They are reportedly crossing the line and he will not be ignoring them anymore. But he stated that some of the satires are really funny and even they enjoy them.
He added that a few people are spending money for targeting them and Vishnu claims that it is very wrong. He did not open up regarding the details of the ‘Snake’ batch and let us see how things move forward from here on.
Manchu Vishnu is all to target the nationwide audience once again with another interesting project. Titled ‘Kannappa’, it is Vishnu’s dream project and the pooja ceremony was conducted grandly at Sri Kalahasti on Friday.
Legendary actor Manchu Mohan Babu will be bankrolling this film under ‘Ava Entertainments’ and ’24 Frames Factory’ banners while Mukhesh Kumar Singh who made the Mahabharata series which was telecasted on Star Plus is going to direct it. Star heroine Kriti Sanon’s younger sister Nupur Sanon is the heroine while Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Thota Prasad and Sai Madhav Burra are the writers. Stephen Devasi and Manisharma are the music composers for this pan-Indian flick.
A Lot Of Options In Front Of Nani
Natural Star Nani is known for his versatile script selection. He arrived with ‘Dasara’ in March and secured a good hit though it was not a pan-Indian success as he desired. Prior to the release of ‘Dasara’, he okayed a movie with a new director. It is an emotional drama titled ‘Hi Nanna’ and it is expected to hit the big screens in December.
Mrunal Thakur is the female lead while the glimpse generated a very positive response. The latest we hear is that Nani will be starting his next project even before the release of ‘Hi Nanna’ as per reports. Sources say that he is being more careful this time around.
There was news of him teaming up with Vivek Atreya again but insiders say that Nani is completely satisfied with the script which is why the director is still working on it. Keeping it aside, there are rumours about Nani working with a Tamil director as well but we need to know if it is true or not.
Grapevine suggests that Srikanth Odela who made ‘Dasara’ has narrated another story to Nani. It looks like Nani has a lot of options and he needs to select what’s best for him. It is to be seen if he starts the new project before ‘Hi Nanna’ releases or not.
Coming to ‘Hi Nanna’, Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala are producing the movie under the banner of Vyra Entertainments. Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music composer.
