Till a year back, Thaman was enjoying the form of his life. He delivered some of his best work since ‘Tholi Prema’ and movies like ‘Aravinda Sametha’, ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’, ‘Akhanda’ and others showcased his caliber. But things took a sudden turn for the star composer as he failed to give one single hit album in recent times.
While his background scores are still elevating many movies, his songs for films like ‘Vakeel Saab’, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ and ‘BRO’ failed to become a hit. Barring a song or two, all these albums ended up being disappointments. Suddenly, there is a lot of negativity surrounding Thaman. There was a lot of news regarding firing Thaman from Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’. He finally managed to keep his place but fans are not happy with him being the composer.
Also, Pawan Kalyan fans are not happy with Thaman being the composer of ‘OG’. His work in ‘Godfather’ was disappointing too and Mega fans are worrying about the album of Ram Charan’s upcoming movie ‘Game Changer’. There is huge pressure on Thaman to deliver with his next few albums. Though there is no doubt regarding his BGMs, his songs need to become successful this time.
He is the composer for Ram and Boyapati’s ‘Skanda’ which is releasing on 15th September while ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ is hitting the screens on 19th October. The music in teasers of both films generated a positive response while the first song from ‘Skanda’ was decent. Nikhil’s Magnum Opus ‘Swayambhu’ Begins Grandly!
Young and talented hero Nikhil Siddharth is arriving with back-to-back interesting projects. He scored a pan-Indian hit in the form of ‘Karthikeya 2’ and he is planning to continue the successful run at the box office with universally appealing scripts. Though his last outing ‘SPY’ backfired, he is gearing up with some more quality scripts. While he is the hero in Abhishek Agarwal and Ram Charan’s next production, he even announced ‘Swayambhu’ in which he will be seen as a ferocious warrior.
Bhuvan and Sreekar will produce the movie under Pixel Studios with Tagore Madhu presenting it. While the title Swayambhu alone generated lots of curiosity, the title poster that showed the sacred Sengol made everyone curious to know more about the project. The first look poster got a terrific response and the makers organised a grand launching ceremony on the occasion of Shravana Shukravaram. The regular shoot of the movie also commences today. The announcement has been made through this stupefying poster where Nikhil as a warrior is seen aiming an arrow at a dragon while riding the horse. From his get-up to his costumes, this is a new Nikhil which we haven’t seen before.
Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, happening heroine Samyuktha Menon is the heroine in this flick. ‘Swayambhu’ is going to have a top-notch technical team and it is going to be the most expensive film on Nikhil’s career. Ravi Basrur scores the music while Manoj Paramahamsa helms the cinematography department. M Prabhaharan is the production designer and the dialogues for the movie are provided by Vasudev Muneppagari. We need to wait and see how the star hero will be presented in the movie. With Nag Ashwin himself revealing that there is still shooting to be done, a lot of netizens are coming to the conclusion that it might get postponed to May 9th. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Djordje Stojilijkovic is the director of photography. Ashwini Dutt is the movie’s producer.
