Dhanush-Mrunal Wedding Rumors Debunked

Share

Recently, speculation has been rife in the media regarding a possible wedding between actor Dhanush and actress Mrunal Thakur, with reports suggesting that the couple may tie the knot on February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.

However, a source close to Dhanush, based in Bollywood, has clarified that these reports are false. According to the source, Dhanush has no intentions of remarrying at this time. “When Dhanush and his ex-wife separated legally, they made a mutual decision to co-parent their two sons, Yatra and Linga. As far as I know, Dhanush is not inclined to remarry. He doesn’t want to bring a stepmother into his children’s lives,” the source stated.

The source further added, “I wouldn’t like to comment on their relationship status. They are fond of one another. That doesn’t mean they want to get married.”

The speculation around the pair began after Dhanush and Mrunal were spotted together during the screening of Son of Sardar 2. Since then, reports regarding their relationship have been circulating in the media, though no official confirmation has been made regarding any romantic or marital plans.

Revanth Reddy Appeals to TDP Supporters Against BRS in Telangana

Share

Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader Revanth Reddy, on the occasion of NTR’s 30th death anniversary, delivered a pointed message to TDP supporters while addressing a public meeting. Acknowledging the historical ties of several TDP cadres in the state, he highlighted their contribution to his successful Congress campaign in 2023, which benefited both parties.

Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy accused the BRS party of attempting to erase the legacy of TDP in Telangana during KCR’s tenure. He appealed to supporters of NTR and Chandrababu Naidu to unite in opposition to BRS, framing the effort as a tribute to NTR’s enduring contributions.

“KCR and his BRS party did everything they could to completely erase TDP from its roots in Telangana. My appeal to NTR fans and Chandrababu’s associates is to collectively work to challenge BRS and restore political balance in the state. This would be a true tribute to senior NTR and his legacy,” Revanth said.

The meeting also offered a striking visual, with several TDP flags prominently displayed alongside Congress banners, underscoring the continued influence of TDP supporters in Telangana and highlighting a symbolic cross-party solidarity against BRS.

This move by Revanth Reddy signals a strategic effort to consolidate anti-BRS sentiment in Telangana ahead of the next electoral cycle, leveraging historical loyalties and emotional appeal to mobilize grassroots support.

A. R. Rahman Clarifies Bollywood Remarks

Share

Renowned music composer A. R. Rahman recently found himself at the center of widespread discussion following comments he made about the Hindi film industry in a recent interview. Rahman had noted that the dynamics of the industry have changed over the past eight years, and referenced what he described as a “communal thing.” His remarks were widely interpreted by some as an allegation of religious bias in Bollywood, sparking intense debate across social media and traditional media platforms.

The ensuing discussion drew a range of reactions from the artistic community, with some defending the industry’s inclusivity, while others offered differing perspectives on representation and creative freedom. The conversation quickly became highly polarized, extending beyond Rahman’s original point about shifts in the industry.

Today, Rahman released a video statement to clarify his remarks. In the statement, he emphasized that he never intended to hurt or offend anyone, and that his comments had been misunderstood. He expressed his deep respect, love, and gratitude for India and its diverse cultural landscape. Rahman underscored that for him, music is a medium of connection, joy, and unity, and that his intention has always been to celebrate, not criticize. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the communities he works with and his hope that audiences understand his artistic journey and intentions.

Rahman’s clarification serves to remind fans and the industry alike of the unifying power of music and the respect he holds for India’s rich cultural heritage.

Dil Raju’s Strategic Wins Dominate Sankranti 2026 Box Office

Share

The 2025 Sankranti season was a rollercoaster for veteran producer Dil Raju, marked by the commercial failure of Game Changer, followed by a swift recovery with the blockbuster Sankranti ki Vastunnam. Fast forward to Sankranti 2026, and Dil Raju has once again demonstrated his astute business acumen, turning the festive season into a surprising and substantial success.

While he did not produce a major release this time, Dil Raju’s role as a distributor proved decisive. Among the five Telugu films released during the season, three under his distribution banner delivered impressive box office returns. Titles such as Anaganaga Oka Raju and Naari Naari Naduma Murari garnered strong family audiences, benefited from the holiday rush, and maintained steady collections beyond the opening weekend. Positive word-of-mouth and consistent performance across urban and semi-urban centers enabled these films to quickly recover investments and secure healthy profits.

Despite stiff competition and a couple of high-profile releases failing to meet expectations, Dil Raju’s strategic distribution choices ensured that the overall season remained highly profitable. His ability to identify commercially viable content, time releases effectively, and manage distribution efficiently reaffirmed his reputation as one of the most shrewd and reliable figures in Telugu cinema.

Sankranti 2026 once again underscored Dil Raju’s mastery of the business side of cinema, proving that with the right mix of timing, content selection, and distribution planning, even a non-producing season can deliver remarkable success.

“Sankranti Box Office: Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu Soars, Prabhas’s Raja Saab Struggles”

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi is enjoying a dream run at the box office this Sankranti, with his latest release Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu registering massive collections and racing ahead as a profitable venture. In stark contrast, Prabhas’s much-hyped Raja Saab is struggling to gain momentum, highlighting how sharply audience reception can impact a film’s fate within days of release.

Released amid festive competition, Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu has emerged as a clear winner within just six days. The film has collected an impressive ₹101.99 crore share from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with a regional gross of approximately ₹150.15 crore. Worldwide, it has amassed a share of ₹128.09 crore and a gross of nearly ₹204.45 crore.

With a break-even target set at around ₹122 crore, the film has comfortably crossed the mark and is currently standing at an estimated profit of ₹7.09 crore. Trade circles have officially declared the film a hit, and expectations remain high for further gains if the theatrical run continues steadily.

On the other hand, Raja Saab has completed nine days at the box office under challenging circumstances. The film has collected ₹77.54 crore share in AP and Telangana, with a gross of ₹114.60 crore. Its worldwide share stands at ₹116.83 crore, while the gross is around ₹196.45 crore—translating to a recovery of only about 56 percent so far.

With a hefty break-even target of ₹209 crore, Raja Saab still needs an additional ₹92.17 crore share to achieve clean hit status. The coming days will be critical in determining whether the film can stage a turnaround or settle for a below-expectation verdict.

Neha Sharma: The “Chirutha Girl” Who Still Shines

Share

Neha Sharma’s bond with Tollywood runs deep, beginning with her 2007 debut in Chirutha. Paired opposite Ram Charan, she made an immediate impression as Sanjana, a character that etched her into the memories of Telugu audiences. For many fans across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, she continues to be remembered fondly as the original “Chirutha girl.”

Although Neha gradually shifted her focus towards Bollywood, that early Telugu connection never truly faded. Her brief yet striking appearance in Hi Nanna (2023) was enough to spark nostalgia, reminding viewers that her screen presence and natural charm remain intact even after nearly two decades in the industry.

In her recent pictures, Neha opts for a clean, sultry aesthetic that feels effortless rather than forced. The black ruffled mini dress highlights her well-maintained physique while staying elegant and understated. Delicate thin straps and a lace-up neckline lend a subtle edge, complemented by softly waved hair and minimal makeup. There’s a quiet confidence in her posture and expressions, suggesting a clear understanding of her personal style and what suits her best.

What’s particularly striking is that, despite being in strong form, Neha hasn’t headlined a full-length Telugu film in quite some time. With Bollywood projects like Bad Newz and De De Pyaar De 2 keeping her in the spotlight, a thoughtfully chosen return to Tollywood in 2026 could add an exciting new chapter to her career and reconnect her with an audience that has never quite let her go.

Krishna Vamshi Struggles to Find Producers Despite Proven Legacy

Share

Krishna Vamshi is among the select few Tollywood filmmakers who carved a distinct identity through creativity and an organic portrayal of human emotions. A product of Ram Gopal Varma’s school of filmmaking, Vamshi honed his craft as an assistant director before establishing his credibility with acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Gulabi, Ninne Pelladatha, Sindhuram, Khadgam, Murari, and Chandamama.

Renowned for feel-good family entertainers and grounded romantic dramas, Krishna Vamshi enjoyed a golden phase early in his career. However, like many directors, he eventually faced a downturn due to a series of box-office failures. These setbacks pushed him onto the backfoot and forced him to rethink his script choices and filmmaking approach.

Despite his continued passion and hunger to deliver meaningful cinema, the director has openly admitted that finding producers for his scripts has become increasingly difficult. He has frequently acknowledged this harsh reality during interactions with fans on social media.

The issue once again came into public focus recently on X (formerly Twitter). When a follower requested an appointment to narrate a strong subject, Krishna Vamshi candidly replied by asking whether there was any producer willing to back the project. His response surprised many netizens, especially given his stature as a filmmaker who once delivered major hits with top stars.

Ever since his back-to-back debacles, convincing producers has been a challenge for the director. His most recent film, Ranga Marthanda, also suffered from multiple production issues and eventually failed at the box office, offering him little relief.

While movie lovers continue to urge Krishna Vamshi to return with a film in his trademark style, the director’s candid admissions underline the difficult realities of the industry. Even established filmmakers, it seems, are not immune to the struggle for financial backing in today’s risk-averse production environment.

Indian Students Briefly Detained in US ICE Raid, Later Released

Share

Amid the US government’s intensified crackdown on immigration violations under President Donald Trump, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have been conducting raids across several cities to identify individuals breaching visa conditions.

In one such incident that triggered widespread concern, reports emerged on social media claiming that two Indian students on F-1 visas were detained by ICE agents at an Indian restaurant in St Louis Park, Minnesota. Images purportedly from the scene went viral, sparking anxiety among Indian students and the wider diaspora in the United States.

However, in a relief to the Indian community, the latest updates confirm that both students were released within a few hours. According to reports, ICE officers verified their visa status and supporting documents, confirmed that the students were legally residing in the country, and allowed them to leave without further action.

While the incident ended without legal consequences, it has once again drawn attention to the risks faced by international students who violate US immigration rules. Under F-1 visa regulations, students are permitted to work only in on-campus jobs for a maximum of 20 hours per week during academic semesters.

Despite this, many students reportedly take up off-campus employment in Indian restaurants, malls, motels, or gas stations—often paid in cash—an arrangement that constitutes a serious violation of visa conditions. Such violations can lead to loss of F-1 status, visa cancellation, deportation, and long-term damage to future employment or immigration prospects in the US.

Immigration experts are now urging Indian students to exercise extreme caution, comply strictly with visa regulations, and avoid unauthorized employment while pursuing their education.

Chiranjeevi’s Mega 158 Set to Launch Soon After Sankranti Blockbuster

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi has once again reaffirmed his unparalleled box-office dominance with the sensational success of his Sankranti release Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. Despite stiff competition during the festive season, the film emerged as a clear winner, shattering multiple first-week records and becoming the first major blockbuster of 2026.

Riding high on this triumph, Chiranjeevi is wasting no time before moving on to his next venture. The legendary actor is now gearing up to commence work on ‘Mega 158’, to be directed by Bobby. This project marks their second collaboration after the massive 2023 Sankranti hit Waltair Veerayya, which went on to storm the box office.

According to reliable industry sources, the formal launch of the yet-untitled film is scheduled for the last week of this month, with regular shooting expected to begin immediately thereafter. Given that Sankranti has consistently brought good fortune to Chiranjeevi—with back-to-back hits like Waltair Veerayya and Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu—the makers are reportedly eyeing a Sankranti release next year for Mega 158.

The film’s concept poster, unveiled on Chiranjeevi’s birthday last year, generated tremendous buzz. Featuring a blood-stained axe slicing through a wall, the striking visual hinted at a full-fledged, high-octane action saga packed with intensity and violence. The powerful tagline, “The Blade That Set the Bloody Benchmark,” further amplified expectations among fans and cinephiles.

Mega 158 will be produced by Venkata Narayana and Lohith NK under the KVN Productions banner, marking their maiden Telugu production. Details regarding the cast and technical crew are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
