No Big Competition For Kalyan Ram’s ‘Amigos’!
After ‘Bimbisara’ Kalyan Ram is coming with another interesting film titled ‘Amigos’. This movie is getting released on 10th February and debutant Rajendar Reddy directed this movie which is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. This action thriller is based on the concept of doppelgangers and Kalyan Ram will be seen playing three different roles. The songs and trailer have impressed the audience and there are good expectations on this movie.
Everything is working in favor of ‘Amigos’ right now as there are no big releases on 10th Feb. ‘Kabzaa’ starring Upendra as the lead is hitting the screens on the same day but this pan-Indian film failed to create any kind of buzz in the Telugu states. A small film called ‘Popcorn’ is getting released but it is no competition to Kalyan Ram’s flick. Also, the different concept in ‘Amigos’ has attracted the audience already. If this experiment from Kalyan Ram gets a positive response, ‘Amigos’ is going to get very good collections.
Even Samantha’s ‘Shaakunthalam’ which is coming on 17th February got postponed and the team of Dhanush’s ‘Sir’ is not promoting it in Telugu aggressively. Last year, Kalyan Ram’s ‘Bimbisara’ faced big competition in the form of ‘Sita Ramam’. Both got positive talks and both earned big at the box office. But there is no such competition this time for ‘Amigos’.
Brahmaji, Sapthagiri and others play key roles in this flick. Ashika Ranganath is the heroine in this movie. Venkat and Ram Kishan are the fight masters for this movie. Rajendar Reddy is the director of ‘Amigos’ while Ghibran is the music composer. Rajendra Reddy took care of the story, screenplay and dialogues too while Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Sounder Rajan S is the director of photography while Tammi Raju is the editor.
Writer Padmabhushan Free Shows For Women In 38 Theatres Across Telugu States Tomorrow
The makers of young hero Suhas starrer Writer Padmabhushan are continuing to implement the right strategies to make this one of the biggest blockbusters among small time movies. Their real intention is to make the message in the movie reach more people.
Leading anchor Suma Kanakala unveiled a sweet surprise. Writer Padmabhushan’s free shows will be screened for women tomorrow. These free shows will be screened in a total of 38 Theatres in Telugu states. This is another good and clever strategy by the team.
The wholesome family entertainer was directed by debutant Shanmukha Prashanth, while Chai Bisket produced it, in association with Lahari Films. The movie that had done remarkable business in its first weekend has passed the Monday test too.
‘Popcorn’ all set for Valentine week release
Starring Avika Gor and Sai Ronak in the lead roles, Popcorn, a conceptual film, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release during this Valentines week on February 10th.
Directed by Murali Naga, the makers of the film are raising the curiosity among the movie buffs with their interesting promotional content. With only a couple of days left for the release, the team has now intensified the promotional activities to grab the attention of the audience.
The trailer of Popcorn sees Sai Ronak and Avika Gor meeting in a mall in Hyderabad. It looks fresh and interesting as the lead pair turns to lovers from being strangers turned enemies.
Avika Gor is co-producing Popcorn, which is funded by Madhupalli Bhogendra Gupta through Acharya Creations.

Apsara A Iyer was elected as the President of Harvard Law Review, which is touted as the oldest operating student-edited law review in the United States. Apsara is pursuing her Law at the Prestigious Harvard Law School. There is a procedure that goes into electing the President of the Journal.
The process to elect the President of the Journal is called write-on. As part of the process, the law students of Harvard Law School will go through any case in the Supreme Court or state house and provide commentary on the case.
Taking care of Journal is not new for Apsara Iyer as she was part of the Law School’s Harvard Human Rights Journal and the National Security Journal. Now she was elected as the President of the prestigious Harvard Law Review.
Apsara will replace Priscila Coronado as the Chief of Publication. After the election, Priscila expressed her happiness and said that she is eagerly waiting for Apsara to lead the publication soon and see what mark she can bring in the next publication under her guidance. “Apsara has changed the lives of many editors for the better, and I know she will continue to do so,” she said.
Iyer said that she is feeling happy for the next elevation as the Publication is filled with many young and passionate individuals and the Community has talented people.”What’s been so meaningful to me is that the Law Review has been an amazing community of incredibly talented, passionate people,” Apsara said.
No Promotions For Dhanush’s ‘Sir’ In Telugu!
Multiple National Award winner Dhanush’s bilingual movie ‘Sir’/’Vaathi’ is hitting the big screens on 17th February. The trailer will be released on 8th February and there are good expectations on this movie. The teaser and the two songs ‘Mastaaru Mastaaru’ along with ‘Banjara’ got a very good response. Venky Atluri has written and directed this film which is set in the backdrop of the 90s.
The movie is about the high prices of school fees and corruption in the educational system and the hero fights against all these. Dhanush will be seen as a junior lecturer in this movie. Apart from releasing the teaser and songs, the makers are not at all focusing the promotions of this flick in Telugu. This is surprising to many since ‘Sithara Entertainments’ and Trivikram’s ‘Fortune Four Cinemas’ are bankrolling it.
The audio launch of ‘Sir’/’Vaathi’ has been organized in Chennai recently. It was a grand affair with the entire team gracing the event which is flooded with the ‘Maari’ hero’s fans. But the makers are planning no such things in Telugu which is confusing everyone. People are wondering why the team is maintaining such a low profile in Telugu while promoting the same film extensively in Tamil.
People are wondering if the trailer will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil or not. As we know, Dhanush has a lot of admirers in the Telugu states but his market is not that big. He needs to promote this film heavily in order to increase his market which will help his upcoming film with Sekhar Kammula as well. We need to wait and see what happens in the next few days.
Samyuktha Menon is the heroine in this movie. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Motta Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi and Praveena too play key roles this flick. Yuvraj is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor. Avinash Kolla is the production designer and Venkat handled the action choreography. Leading producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments joined forces with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas to make this project. Srikara Studios is presenting the film.
