ఆ భామలిద్దరు ట్రాక్ లోకి వచ్చేది ఇంకెప్పుడు?
`అర్జున్ రెడ్డి` హిట్ తో ముంబై బ్యూటీ షాలిని పాండే టాలీవుడ్ కెరీర్ కి తిరుగుండదని భావించారు. తొలి సినిమానే పాన్ ఇండియాలో ఐడెంటిటీ తీసుకొచ్చింది. కానీ ఆ సక్సెస్ ని సోపానంగా మార్చుకోవడంలో మాత్రం విఫలమైందనే అనిపిస్తుంది. అదే సమయంలో బాలీవుడ్ లో `మేరీ నిమ్మో` చిత్రంలో..`మహానటి`.. `ఎన్టీఆర్ కథానాయకుడు` చిత్రాల్లో గెస్ట్ అప్పిరియన్స్ ఇచ్చింది.
అటుపై `118` లో లీడ్ రోల్ పోషించింది. ఆ సినిమా కూడా మంచి సక్సెస్ సాధించింది. కానీ మినిమం రేంజ్ హీరోల సరసన ఇప్పటికీ అవకాశాలు దక్కించుకోవడంలో వెనుకబడే ఉంది. మధ్యలో అప్పుడప్పుడు కొన్ని తమిళ్..హిందీ సినిమాల్లోనూ నటించింది. కానీ అక్కడా సక్సెస్ కాలేదు. ఇటీవలే రణ్ వీర్ సింగ్ సరసన నటించిన `జయేష్ భాయ్ జోర్డార్` రిలీజ్ అయింది. అగ్ర హీరోతో ఛాన్స్… సినిమా సక్సెస్ అవ్వడం ఖాయమని టాక్ వినిపించింది. కానీ సినిమా బాక్సాఫీస్ వసూళ్లు చూస్తే నిరాశ తప్పదు.
రివ్యూలు ఏమంత పాజిటివ్ గా రాలేదు. దీంతో మరోసారి షాలిని పాండేకి నిరాశ తప్పలేదు. ఇలా మొ్తంగా షాలిని పాండే కెరీర్ గ్రాప్ పరిశీలిస్తే సక్సెస్ లు ఉన్నా హీరోయిన్ గా మాత్రం ఎస్టాబ్లిష్ కాలేకపోతుందన్నది అర్ధమవుతుంది. తొలి సినిమా సక్సెస్ తర్వాత అమ్మడు ఎంపిక చేసుకున్న స్ర్కిప్ట్ లు ఆమెని ఆ స్థాయిలో నిలబెట్టలేకపోయాయి.
గెస్ట్ అప్పీరియన్స్ లో కొంత ప్రభావాన్ని చూపించాయి. ఇక్కడ అమ్మడికి బ్యాడ్ లక్ అనేది కూడా వెంటాడుతున్నది మరో అంశం. తొలి హిట్ తో స్టార్ హీరోయిన్లగా మారిన భామలెంతోమంది ఉన్నారు. త్రిష నుంచి సమంత వరకూ నేటి జనరేషన్ చూసుకుంటే కృతిశెట్టి లాంటి భామ తొలి విజయంతోనే ఓ ఇమేజ్ ని క్రియేట్ చేసుకోగలిగారు.
ఆ వరుసలో షాలిని పాండే…పాయల్ రాజ్ పుత్ లాంటి భామలు నిలువ లేకపోయారు. `ఆర్ ఎక్స్ -100` సక్సెస్ తర్వాత పాయల్ కూడా పెద్ద హీరోయిన్ అవుతుందని భావించారు. అందం..అభినయం.. ఒడ్డు పొడవు అమెని శిఖరాగ్రాన నిలబెడతాయని నిపుణులు అంచనా వేసారు. కానీ ఆ భామ సక్సెస్ హీరోయిన్ల జాబితాలో స్థానం సంపాదించలేకపోయింది.
తొలి సక్సెస్ కేవలం అవకాశాలకే పునాది వేసింది తప్ప రేసులో రాణించలేకపోయింది. స్ర్కిప్ట్ లు ఎంపిక చేసుకోవడంలో వైఫ్యలమే అన్న కారణం తెరపైకి వస్తుంది. అలాంటి వాటిని ఓవర్ కమ్ చేస్తే తప్ప! కెరీర్ బండి గాడిలో పడదు. ప్రస్తుతం ఇద్దరి పెద్దగా అవకాశాలు లేవు. అందివచ్చిన ఛాన్సెస్ తో సక్సెస్ కొడితే తప్ప ట్రాక్ లో పడటం కష్టమనే విమర్శ వినిపిస్తుంది.
Mahesh Babu’s message preaching turns a headache for fans
Mahesh Babu has mostly been doing social message-oriented films of late. Srimanthudu, Maharshi, to an extent Sarileru Neekevvaru, and Bharat Ane Nenu all fall under the same category.
Mahesh Babu promised a proper mass feast with Sarkaru Vaari Paata and he implied that there will be now message preachings in the film. But that isn’t the case now as the film does indeed have a strong message.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata revolves around bank loan defaulters and how this negatively impacts the lives of commoners who go through hell to pay loans and EMIs every month. While this might seem like a purposeful message at first, the narrative is over emphasised beyond a point and Mahesh goes on to preach about how defaulters should change and start supporting the social fabric.
Mahesh’s same old message preaching track in Sarkaru Vaari Paata has left even Mahesh’s fans disappointed. They wanted a proper mass feast from Mahesh this time around with no message oriented narrative, but sadly for them, Sarkaru Vaari Paata falls under the same category.
It is about time that Mahesh Babu waves goodbye to the message preaching exercises and starts delivering what his fans have been craving for all the while – proper out and out action entertainment with no trace of a message.
Mahesh’s fans are now hoping that Mahesh’s next with Trivikram will wander away from the social message preaching acts. Trivikram does indeed use social aspects to fuel the narrative but he never goes overboard with delivering messages through his films. So, we can expect to see a new Mahesh Babu with this film.
Also, what follows is more promising. Mahesh will be collaborating with Rajamouli for his next and this film is also expected to be an out and out action entertainer with a new age plot.
‘శేఖర్’ కోసం పడిన కష్టాలు మాటల్లో చెప్పలేం!
రాజశేఖర్ హీరోగా గతంలో జీవిత కొన్ని సినిమాలను తెరకెక్కించారు. దర్శకురాలిగా ఆమె మరోసారి మెగా ఫోన్ పట్టి ఆయనతో చేసిన సినిమానే ‘ శేఖర్’. ఈ సినిమాకి జీవిత రాజశేఖర్ కూడా ఒక నిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరించారు. అనూప్ రూబెన్స్ సంగీతాన్ని సమకూర్చిన ఈ సినిమాను ఈ నెల 20వ తేదీన విడుదల చేస్తున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ సినిమాను గురించి జీవిత మాట్లాడారు.” ఒక మర్చిపోలేని సినిమాగా ‘శేఖర్’ ను గురించి చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. ‘గరుడవేగ’ సినిమాకి ముందు రాజశేఖర్ గారు చాలా మైనస్ లో ఉండటం వలన ఆ సినిమాను అనుకున్న స్థాయిలో బిజినెస్ చేసుకోలేకపోయాము.
ఆ సినిమా బాగా ఆడటం వలన లక్కీగా మేము కొంత రికవరీ చేసుకోగలిగాము. ‘ కల్కి’ దగ్గరికి వచ్చేసరికి ఒక లెవెల్ కి బిజినెస్ జరిగింది. ‘శేఖర్’ దగ్గరికి వచ్చేసరికి కోవిడ్ కారణంగా చాలా ఇబ్బందులు పడవలసి వచ్చింది. రాజశేఖర్ గారికి కోవిడ్ వచ్చి తగ్గిన తరువాతనే ‘శేఖర్ ‘ షూటింగ్ మొదలుపెట్టాము. సినిమాగా చూస్తే ఇది పెద్ద బడ్జెట్ పెట్టి చేయవలసిన సినిమా కాదు. కానీ కరోనా కారణంగా షూటింగుకి అంతరాయం కలగడం .. ఆలస్యం కావడం .. వడ్డీలు పెరగడం .. ఇలా బాగానే ఇబ్బందులు పడ్డాము.
పెద్ద సినిమాలు తీసేవారికి ఇబ్బందిలేదు .. అలాగే చిన్న సినిమాలు చేసేవారు కూడా ఒక జోన్ లో వెళ్లొచ్చు. మా సినిమా మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబంలాంటిది. అందువలన దీనిని ముందుకు తీసుకుని వెళ్లడం కష్టమైంది. ఎన్నో కష్టాలను .. సమస్యలను దాటుకుని ఈ సినిమాను రిలీజ్ కి తీసుకుని వచ్చాము. ఈ సినిమాకి ముందుగా ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు దర్శకులను అనుకున్నాము. కానీ కొన్ని కారణాల వలన వాళ్లతో ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు సెట్ కాలేదు. ఒక దర్శకుడిని తీసుకుంటే మేము అనుకున్నది ఆయనకి కనెక్ట్ కాలేదు.
ఒక సీనియర్ హీరోతో చేయడానికి చాలామంది యంగ్ డైరెక్టర్స్ కి కష్టమవుతోంది. సీనియర్ హీరోలు తమ ఇమేజ్ ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుంటారు. యంగ్ డైరెక్టర్స్ ఇప్పటి ట్రెండ్ ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుంటున్నారు. అదీ .. ఇదీ మిక్స్ చేయడం వలన చాలామంది ఫెయిల్ అవుతున్నారు. లవ్ .. యాక్షన్ .. కామెడీలను హ్యాండిల్ చేయడం యంగ్ డైరెక్టర్స్ కి ఈజీనే. కానీ ఎమోషన్ దగ్గరికి వచ్చేసరికి ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్నారు. ‘శేఖర్’ ఎమోషనల్ సబ్జెక్ట్ .. అందువలన ఈ సినిమా దర్శకత్వ బాధ్యతలను నేను భుజాన వేసుకోవలసి వచ్చింది. ఈ జనరేషన్ కి తగినట్టుగానే సినిమా తీశానని అనుకుంటున్నాను” అని చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.
Is Amit Shah overrated?
Is Amit Shah over rated? This is the question that most political watchers are asking especially after the Tukkuguda public meeting to mark the conclusion of the second phase of Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra. Amit Shah’s speech was not only insipid, but also problematic for the state BJP.
During the course of the speech, he said that the BJP would buy every grain of parboiled rice. The TRS, which was waiting for the opportunity, picked this and took to the social media asking who the Central Government, which refused to take parboiled rice from Telangana, would buy the same rice if the BJP was in power. The TRS took the BJP to task. By the time the BJP realized the gaffe, the damage was already done.
BJP insiders say that Amit Shah’s speech was hastily prepared and it was cobbled up just at about 5 pm, barely an hour before the start of the actual meeting. The talking points reached him quite late and he did not even get an opportunity to go through the contents of the talking points. His team of assistants, according to the BJP insiders, did a very shoddy job.
Hence Amit Shah’s speech did not contain anything new. His speech was insipid and did not address several issues. Political watchers say that the party’s lack of application of mind during such an important occasion shows the chinks in its armour. They feel that Amit Shah should have done his homework well before actually delivering speech at the public meeting.
Who Will Be Bollywood’s Saviour Now?
Bollywood is going through one of its roughest patches right now. None of the Hindi films barring ‘Gangubai Khatiawadi’ succeeded commercially in recent times. The pandemic has affected the film industry quite heavily and the big filmmakers are thinking twice before releasing their films in theatres. At the same time, films from the South are creating a huge storm at the Northern box office. Movies from big Hindi heroes like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and others have failed while ‘RRR’ got over 250 crores and ‘KGF – 2′ is still running in theatres with over 400 crores of collections.
Ranveer Singh who is one of the top stars in the present generation has got his career’s biggest failure with ’83’ and ‘Pushpa’ which was released at the same time got more collections compared to Ranveer’s film. He once again came in theatres this week with ‘Jayeesh Bhai Jordaar’ which was produced by Yash Raj Films. This film deals with a serious social topic and the trailer was impressive too. But the film is not able to get good collections and ratings are very low too. It is turning out to be a huge disappointment for Ranveer Singh’s fans.
The three Khans are not coming anytime soon and other big films are bombing one after the other at the box office. ‘Prithviraj’ is one of the high-budget films in Bollywood which is arriving on 3rd June but there is no positivity on this flick due to many reasons. ‘KGF – 2’ is still running in North theatres as there are no impressive Hindi films in recent times. With Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’ and Karthik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bulaiyaa 2’ arriving on 20th May, we need to see if one of them succeeds at the box office at least.
‘Vikram’ Trailer & Audio Arriving On The Same Day!
Legendary actor Kamal Hassan is one of India’s greatest actors if not the greatest. His performances over the last four decades or more describe the greatness of this man. He is not just an actor but also a director, producer, choreographer, singer, writer and whatnot. Even at this age, he can make the audience get mesmerized just with an eyebrow raise.
He has given a chance to young and highly talented director Lokesh Kanagaraj who made movies like ‘Khaidi’ and ‘Master’ till now. Ever since the project under their combination was announced, the expectations went over the roof and it was mainly due to the title video of ‘Vikram’ which shows Kamal planting guns in secret spots at his house whilst inviting prominent personalities for a lunch in his home. The background score from Anirudh and Kamal’s presence impressed everyone.
After a small glimpse, the makers released the first lyrical recently which is getting thunderous applause. Kamal sang it himself and Anirudh’s music is exceptional. The film features supreme talents like Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Fasil. Kamal Haasan is looking quite menacing in the film and Sethupathi will be seen as the main antagonist.
The makers have already announced that the film is getting released on June 3rd in theatres worldwide. They have now released a poster stating that the audio and trailer launch will be done on Sunday i.e 15th May 2022. The poster showcases Kamal with a gun his hand while there are numerous guns all around him.
Besides playing the lead role, Kamal Haasan is also producing this movie in association with R Mahendran under Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Apart from star cast, the film also features Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Arjun Das and Shivani Narayanan in supporting roles. Anirudh is the music composer while Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer. Philomin Raj is the editor of this flick and let us see how the film is going to be.
Bandi Sanjay emerges stronger after Praja Sangrama Yatra
The Telangana BJP circles unanimously feel that Bandi Sanjay has grown quite stronger after the conclusion of the second phase of his Praja Sangrama Yatra. The yatra was a one-man show and Sanjay has proved his organisational skills through the second phase of the yatra. He walked for nearly six hours every day and improved his outreach.
It is an open secret that the Yatra was a one-man show. Local BJP bigwigs like Kishan Reddy, Eatala Rajendra, Indrasena Reddy, Raghunandan Rao and even Dharmapuri Aravind were nowhere to be seen during the yatra. Though Eatala was present at the inaugural, he later sidestepped and stayed aloof. Even the party’s organising secretary Mantri Srinivasulu adopted a “touch-me-not” attitude.
Bandi Sanjay single-handedly mobilised the funds for the yatra. According to unofficial sources, close to 10 crore were spent for the yatra. Everyday, a public meeting had to be organised, at least 15 big meetings, and three public meetings were organised during the yatra. The inaugural meeting, JP Nadda’s meeting and Amit Shah’s Tukkuguda meeting were huge meetings with more than 30000 turnout. These were single handedly managed by Bandi Sanjay.
He managed to create a perception among the people of Telangana as a viable opposition to the TRS. His strident criticism of KCR and KTR resonated with the voters. All these have helped in building Brand Sanjay. It is not for nothing that Amit Shah has said at the Tukkuguda meeting that Bandi Sanjay was enough to take on both KTR and KCR. Thus, the yatra has helped create an image for Bandi Sanjay.
There Is Still A Lot To Do For Me: Sunil
The combination of Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Anil Ravipudi and Dil Raju who have a blockbuster family entertainer like ‘F2’ in 2019 are coming back with ‘F3’ which is all set to release on May 27th. There are good expectations on this project which has Sirish as the producer and Devi Sri Prasad as the music composer. The trailer got a very good response and the entire team are promoting the film quite aggressively. Leading ladies Tamannaah Bhatia, Mehreen Kaur Pirzada and Sonal Chauhan gave interviews to the media apart from a few key technicians. Now, star character artist Sunil who played a very important role in this film has interacted with the media. He revealed some of his experiences, talked about his journey in films and his upcoming projects.
Talking about his film journey which is in its 25th year, Sunil said, “It is going great. I came in as a comedian and turned into a hero which brought out the dancer in him too. I developed a six pack and later turned into a villain too by playing negative roles in movies like ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Color Photo’. I have to thank the audience for accepting me all this time.”
Talking about ‘F3’, he said that he talked to Anil Ravipudi about working together and the director too wished for the same. Anil reportedly gave him a very good role which will present the vintage Sunil. He added, “I play a full-length role. I have scope for solo performance in the first half while it was a comedy with the entire group in the second half. Me and Varun Tej are a batch. Venkatesh, Raghubabu and others are one batch. Tamannaah and her family are a batch and we also have Pruthviraj, Stunt Siva, Murali Sharma, Srikanth Iyengar, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad and others who generate non-stop fun together. The fun in ‘F3’ will be higher than ‘F2’.”
Speaking about Varun Tej, he said, “Varun has a Hollywood cut-out. It is surprising to see him in a middle-class role. I know him since his childhood and there is no change in him even now. He calls me ‘Anna’ and his comic side will be on full display in this flick.” Sunil stated that working on ‘Pushpa’ and ‘F3’ at the same time was quite challenging as both roles were poles apart. One was a villain role while the other was a comic role.
He went on to say that he wishes to see more comedy films in Tollywood as it is more challenging but gives a lot of entertainment for the people. When asked about fulfilling his dream as a complete actor by playing versatile roles, Sunil said that there is still a lot to be done. He added that we will see tons of variations that we didn’t even attempt when we watch four of Kamal Hassan’s films.
Speaking about heroines, Sunil said that Tamannaah is highly energetic while Mehreen has an unknown innocence in her and Sonal Chauhan is sharp and sensible. Speaking about his other projects, he said that he is getting offers from Tamil, Kannada and Bollywood for villain roles. He is also getting comedy roles in the Hindi industry and he reportedly okayed two of them. The details will be coming out soon. Talking about his friend Trivikram, he said that he will be doing a key role in his next project as always. He added that Trivikram tries to insert me in his films all the time and gave the example of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ in which he was seen in a song.
Coming to future projects, Sunil is working in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’, Ram Charan and Shankar’s film and other 13 small and medium films. He said that he wants to be available to everyone which is why he is taking 10 small films along with 4 big films which come his way.
Time locked for Vijay – Samantha’s movie first look
Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha are coming together for VD11, which commenced the shoot later last month. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
In a massive addition to VD11 crew, renowned action choreographer Peter Hein is on-board for the project. He is composing a classy introduction scene featuring Vijay.
Peter Hein and the director Shiva Nirvana are conceiving an action oriented peculiar introduction sequence featuring Vijay in the film.
On a related note, the first look poster of VD11 will be out at 9:30 AM tomorrow and it is expected to be a winning one.
VD11 is a proper love drama featuring two of most talented actors in Telugu cinema, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
