Has Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay’s ambitious Praja Sangrama Yatra failed? At least on the first day, say those who watched the inauguration of the yatra from the historic Jogulamba temple in Gadwal Jogulamba district. The yatra will cover 386 km in 36 days. As part of the yatra,five districts and 10 assembly constituencies would be covered.

Political watchers say Bandi’s yatra has filed to create the kind of magic that Revanth Reddy’s yatras have managed to create. The crowd enthusiasm, according to them, is missing. They feel that Revanth Reddy is definitely more rabble rousing than Sanjay. The attendance on the inaugural day, they argue, is less than expected.

More importantly, none of the senior leaders of the party were present at the inaugural day of the yatra. Barring newly-inducted Eatala Rajender, no other major leader was present. The other two MLAs of the party, Raghunandan Rao and Raja Singh, have absented themselves. Already, Raghunandan Rao has lodged a complaint with Party’s organising secretary Mantri Srinivasulu accusing Bandi of not giving him his due.

Even Union Minister Kishan Reddy is conspicuous by his absence. Already, there are rumours that both the leaders are at loggerheads. The party, according to sources, is divided between the two leaders. The old-timers are with Kishan Reddy, while the younger party workers are with Bandi Sanjay. However a lot depends on the success of the yatra for Bandi to emerge as a credible leader who can take on KCR.

Star director Koratala Siva is known for his commercially viable film with strong social messages. Right from his first film ‘Mirchi’ to his last outing ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, his films gave strong messages which were wrapped in mass elements like over-the-top fights and songs. Also, all the heroes in his films are outsiders who arrive to solve the problems of people.

Prabhas lives in the city but ends the dispute between the two villages in ‘Mirchi’. Mahesh is a rich man who adopts a village and ends up getting close to everyone in ‘Srimanthudu’. NTR is a student and an environmentalist who comes to Hyderabad and takes over the responsibilities of ‘Janatha Garage’ from Mohanlal. Mahesh lives in a foreign country all through his life before arriving back to AP and ends up being a Chief Minister who stands by the people.

Seems like he planned the same thing for ‘Acharya’ too. Going by the trailer, one can guess that Chiranjeevi has no connection to Dharmasthali village but arrives there to keep up his promise given to SIddha’s role played by Charan. How he solves their issues and protects them at all costs forms the rest of the story. Koratala seems to be using the same formula again and again. Even at the time of ‘Mirchi’, people criticized the film saying that it had ‘Bhadra’ shades which was written by Koratala Siva.

Some experts are saying that it is high time the super hit director changes his story and surprises the audience with a fresh concept. Let us wait and see if it happens or not.

Right from the beginning, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been trying to create an impression that his predecessor and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu had chosen Amaravati as the state capital only to benefit Kamma community.

His party colleagues and ministers have also been describing it as Kammaravati, Bhramaravati and many such names and they openly said the capital was not meant for a particular community but for all sections of people.

Though Amaravati farmers have produced evidences in the court saying 80 percent of them were from BC and SC communities, the YSRC leaders have been able to create a brand for Amaravati that it is the stronghold of Kammas.

While it has terribly upset the Kammma community in Andhra, even those from Telagana are now reacting strongly to this Kamma brand on Amaravati.

The Kamma community leaders who met at Nizamabad on Thursday expressed serious reservations about the Jagan government maligning their community.

Former Union minister and Congress leader Renuka Chowdary, who hails from Khammam, took strong exception to the Jagan government for attributing Amaravati to the selfish interests of Kamma community and giving Kamma brand to the Andhra capital.

She alleged that the Jagan government was trying to suppress the Kamma community in AP by hitting its financial and political backbone with Amaravati as the centre of this conspiracy.

Taking exception to YSRC leaders ridiculing Amaravati as the capital of Kammas, Renuka challenged Jagan to rename Amaravati as Kammaravati, if he had guts.

“Let him see what will happen if he names the capital as Kammaravati,” she said.

The former MP warned Jagan against underestimating the Kamma community. “Don’t treat our soft and good nature as our weakness. We can show our power when it matters,” she said, adding that the state requires welfare of communities and cases, if the state has to witness all round development.

2010లో వచ్చిన `జూలియస్ ఐస్` అనే హాలీవుడ్ హారర్ థ్రిల్లర్ ని హిందీలో `బ్లర్` పేరుతో రీమేక్ చేశారు. తాప్సీ ప్రధాన పాత్రలో నటించిన ఈ చిత్రం ఇదే ఏడాది ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రానుంది. కంటిచూపు కోల్పోతున్న ఓ యువతి తన సోదరిని హత్య చేసిన వాడిని ఎలా పట్టుకుంది? ఈ క్రమంలో ఆమె ఎదుర్కొన్న సవాళ్లేంటి? అనే ఆసక్తికర అంశాల నేపథ్యంలో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని రీమేక్ చేశారు. కథ పాత్ర నచ్చడంతో తాప్సీ ఓ నిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరించింది.

ఇక 2016లో వచ్చిన `బ్లైండ్` అనే హాలీవుడ్ మూవీ ని కూడా హిందీలో రీమేక్ చేస్తున్నారు. సోనమ్ కపూర్ కీలక పాత్రలో నటిస్తోంది. చూపు కోల్పోయిన ఓ యువతి ఇన్వేస్టిగేషన్ విషయంలో ఎలా సహాయపడింది అనే కథాంశంతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని రీమేక్ చేశారు. షూటింగ్ ఇప్పటికే పూర్తయిపోయి సినిమా రిలీజ్ కు రెడీగా వుంది. త్వరలోనే ఈ మూవీని రిలీజ్ చేయబోతున్నారు. ఇక ఇదే బాటలో టైగర్ ష్రాఫ్ కూడా హాలీవుడ్ రీమేక్ పై పడ్డాడు.

Who is the luckiest among all the newly inducted ministers in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet? Without doubt, Vidadala Rajini. Rajini is quite young to be a minister. Also, she is a first time MLA.

Not just that, she is the first non-Kamma to win from Chilakaluripet assembly constituency. The real luck for her is that she has only joined the party in 2018, a year before the 2019 elections.

Rajani, who hails from Purushothama Patnam in Chilakaluripet has studied in Hyderabad. A graduate from Osmania University, this BC D category woman married a Kapu. Later, she shifted to the US to work in a company. Later, she turned an entrepreneur and became the member of the board of directors in the company that she founded.

She returned to India and founded VR Foundation to take up social service activities such as provision of drinking water, scholarship to children and job opportunities to the youth.

She also began working among the BCs and organized several programmes in collaboration with the BC associations.Finally, she caught YSRCP chief YS Jagan’s eye and was made the candidate from Chilakaluripet. She took on the then minister Prattipati Pulla Rao and defeated him by over 8000 votes. She is the first BC woman to have won from Chilakaluripet.

Now, she has been included in the council of ministers and has been given a key department. It now remains to be seen how she copes with the pressures and pulls of the governance and administration. She is the youngest among the ministers in YS Jagan cabinet.

KGF-2 beats RRR’s Day 1 collection in North

Yash’s much-awaited film ‘KGF Chapter-2’, which was released on April 14, is winning hearts across the globe. The action entertainer opened to a terrific response at the theatres worldwide and posted big numbers at the box office.

Interestingly, the Prashanth Neel directorial crossed KGF-1’s full run collections on 1st day itself. While the first part collections in Telugu states are Rs 10 Cr, the movie had made a whopping Rs 9.70+ Cr from the Nizam area alone on day 1. As per reports, the theatrical rights of the Telugu version are valued at Rs 75 Cr and 25% was recovered on opening day.

KGF-2 has also become the biggest opener in Hindi by collecting Rs 53.95 crore on its opening day. It is worth mentioning that the first had made Rs 44 Cr on its full run at the Hindi box office. KGF 2 has demolished opening day records of War and Thugs Of Hindustan.

KGF 2 has an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj and Malavika Avinash. The actioner is backed by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films.

Though ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ is the highest collector in India, it minted a total of 1800 crores worldwide which made it stand in second place. ‘RRR’ from Rajamouli collected more than 1000 crores ending up in the third-place but there is no chance that it crosses ‘Baahubali 2’ collections.So, Aamir Khan still holds the record for the highest money collecting Indian film with ‘Dangal’.

With Bollywood slowly losing its power with back-to-back super hits from South India, they need a blockbuster immediately. There are looking at Aamir Khan once again as he is getting ready to arrive in August with ‘Laal Singh Chadda’. It is to be seen if this film beats Aamir’s own record or not.

This film is an adaption of the Hollywood classic ‘Forrest Gump’ and Aamir is bankrolling this project. Kareena Kapoor is the female lead in this project and interestingly, Tollywood’s young hero Naga Chaitanya is playing a key role.

Bigg Boss Telugu OTT, April 14, highlights: Shiva becoming the new captain of the house and other major events at a glance

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss Non-Stop, the contestants participated in the last challenge of the captaincy race.
As per the task, the contestants got blindfolded in a ring and tried to grab each other’s flags with their legs tied. The winner got a chance to win over yet another area of the BB house.
The game was paused as the contestants argued over an issue. A fight erupted between Hamida and Ashu after the sanchalak (Ashu) disqualified Anil from the game. Ajay and Anil also engaged in an ugly spat. Ashu asked Hamida to ‘mind’ her words. Shiva and Nataraj eventually won the game. Hamida posed a serious objection to Ashu’s decision.
Ajay and Anil sorted out their differences. Shiva and Mahesh decided to take over Akhil and Bindu’s area. Since Akhil-Bindu and Ariyana-Ajay got no rooms in their control, they were out of the captaincy race.
Nataraj, Shiva, Mithraw, and Mahesh were the captaincy contenders. Anil and Hamida discussed and the former volunteered to become another contender.
As per the captaincy task, the contenders were wrapped in an aluminium foil and they had to roll and cross the finish line and stand up. Though Mahesh stood first since his hands came out of the wrap, Shiva became the new captain of the house.
In a conversation with Ajay and Akhil, Ashu thought there is something wrong with Ariyana with this season. She felt Ariyana is not able to give her 100% in anything.
