None to meet Tharoor, but everyone meets Kharge
Strange are the ways of politicians. When Congress Party’s presidential aspirant Shashi Tharoor came to canvas for votes in Telangana, no leader worth the salt met him. Even the TPCC chief skipped the programme. But when the officially-sponsored candidate Mallikarjun Kharge came to Hyderabad, the very same leaders, who absented themselves earlier, were falling head-over-heels to be seen with him.
Kharge has the backing of Sonia-Priyanka-Rahul troika and Shashi has none. This explains why there was so much enthusiasm when Kharge came calling and why there was utter disinterest when Tharoor came. Most leaders chose to be with Sonia Gandhi.
The duplicity of the Congress leaders was so in-the-face that Revanth Reddy told Tharoor that he could not meet him as one of his close relatives died. Tharoor even tweeted this. But, barely minutes later, Revanth Reddy addressed a press conference and spoke with gusto. He rallied forth against the TRS and the BJP and raved and ranted. Many people noted this and wondered how he could skip meeting Tharoor but address a presser almost at the same time.
On Saturday, Kharge came to Hyderabad to seek support. The top brass of the party was there in tow to support him. Many workers wondered how they could ignore Tharoor so mercilessly. This shows that the levers of the Congress party would be with Sonia Gandhi regardless of who becomes the party president.
Mohan Raja making all arrangements for Dhruva-2
Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s cop action drama ‘Dhruva’ is one of the most memorable films in the actor’s career. It is known that NV Prasad, who produced Dhruva, has confirmed that director Mohan Raja is in talks to helm the sequel of Dhruva.
The latest update we hear is that the director is said to be making all arrangements for the Dhruva sequel. We know Dhruva’s original version Tani Oruvan in Tamil was directed by Mohan Raja. So, Ram Charan is said to be confident that the director will pen a strong script for the sequel.
It is heard that Mohan Raja wants to start the movie soon with Ram Charan and it will be made as a pan-Indian project. More details regarding this project are yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Mohan Raja is enjoying the success of his recent outing GodFather, which starred Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. On the other side, Charan is working on RC 15, which marks his first collaboration with S Shankar.

To add grist to the rumour mill, Chiru’s latest flick has a lot of politically loaded dialogues. One such dialogue says that politics is not leaving even if he wanted to leave them. Even during the promotion campaign of his latest flick Godfather, Chiru talked about supporting his brother Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena.
Meanwhile, there is also a buzz that several Kapu MLAs from the YSRCP too are said to be in touch with Chiranjeevi. Even now, regardless of political parties, many Kapu politicos feel that Chiru is the best bet for them. Sources say that many Kapu MLAs from East and West Godavari are said to be hedging their bets on Chiru. Let’s wait and watch how things unfold in the coming days.
