Champion Night: Roshan Promises His 100% at Vizag Pre-Release Event

Share

The pre-release event of Champion, titled Champion Night, was grandly celebrated in the scenic coastal city of Vizag, with the film’s core team in attendance. The public event witnessed a massive turnout, reflecting the strong buzz surrounding the film. Adding to the occasion’s warmth and emotion was the presence of hero Roshan’s mother, Ooha, who graced the event as a special guest.

Actress Anaswara Rajan expressed her delight at being launched under the prestigious Swapna Cinema banner. She shared that the producers ensured she was exceptionally well taken care of throughout the project, making the experience all the more memorable.

Speaking at the event, Ooha became emotional while talking about her son’s dedication, stating that Roshan put in tremendous effort for Champion. She confidently added that all the hard work he invested in the film would undoubtedly pay off.

One of the major highlights of the evening was the unveiling of a special video featuring an engaging conversation between Roshan and Indian cricketer Nitish Reddy. The star cricketer revealed that he plans to watch Champion along with his teammates. “I have a match and was advised complete rest on the 25th. So, I will watch Champion with my team on December 27,” Nitish promised, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

Addressing the audience, Roshan shared that he agreed to do Champion the moment director Pradeep Advaitham narrated the script to him. He credited producer Swapna Dutt for elevating the director’s vision to another level, noting that Vyjayanthi Movies are experts in mounting period films and leave no stone unturned behind the scenes.

“I even suffered fractures while performing the action sequences,” Roshan revealed. “I’ve watched the edited version, and it has turned out really well. I feel extremely fortunate to be associated with the Vyjayanthi banner.”

Akhanda 2 Gets Lifeline with Sunday Bounce

Share

Akhanda 2 seemed to be losing momentum after receiving mixed word-of-mouth. While the opening weekend collections were respectable, weekday earnings dipped sharply, raising doubts over the film’s profitability. The release of Avatar 3 further intensified the pressure, pushing Akhanda 2 out of the spotlight.

However, the tide turned unexpectedly. Avatar 3 failed to make a strong impact among Indian audiences, and with no fresh releases hitting theatres this weekend, moviegoers were left with limited options. This scenario worked in favour of Akhanda 2.

Sunday witnessed a noticeable jump in bookings, as audiences who had earlier postponed watching the film decided to give it a chance. The result was improved footfalls across several centres, offering the film much-needed relief.

While the recovery may be short-lived, that single strong Sunday has given Akhanda 2 some breathing room, keeping it in the race—at least for now.

Ayesha Khan Replaces Tamannaah in Dhurandhar’s Viral Song

Share

Dhurandhar has turned into a nationwide sensation, breaking box-office records across India while its soundtrack continues to dominate music charts. Every song from the film has struck a chord with audiences, adding to the movie’s unstoppable momentum.

Among the film’s standout moments is the sizzling special number “Shararat,” featuring Ayesha Khan alongside Krystle D’Souza. The song has gone viral on social media, with fans praising Ayesha’s screen presence, energy, and performance.

Interestingly, Ayesha Khan was not the original choice for the special song. Sources reveal that the film’s creative team, including the choreographer, had initially proposed Tamannaah Bhatia for the number. Given Tamannaah’s massive popularity and proven success with item songs in Bollywood, her inclusion was expected to add extra commercial appeal.

However, director Aditya Dhar reportedly turned down the suggestion. He felt Tamannaah had become a familiar choice for special numbers and was keen on presenting a fresher face. Dhar had previously watched Ayesha Khan’s performances in Telugu films such as Gangs of Godavari and Om Bheem Bush, which convinced him that she would bring a new energy to the song.

The decision paid off handsomely. “Shararat” has emerged as one of the film’s biggest highlights, earning Ayesha Khan widespread appreciation, while Tamannaah ultimately missed out on the special appearance.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Opens Below Expectations, Trails Zootopia 2

Share

Despite enormous expectations driven by the franchise’s legacy, Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third chapter in James Cameron’s ambitious Avatar saga, has delivered a surprisingly subdued opening at the global box office. Trade analysts and audiences alike anticipated a record-breaking debut, but the film has fallen short of emerging as the biggest opener of 2025.

On its first day, Avatar: Fire and Ash collected an estimated $137 million worldwide, a solid figure by industry standards but insufficient to surpass this year’s top debut. In an ironic twist, the film failed to outpace the opening-day numbers of the animated blockbuster Zootopia 2, which registered a massive $150 million global opening following its release on November 26.

The primary reason behind this underwhelming performance lies in North America, where Fire and Ash posted a modest $36 million on its opening day, including relatively muted preview showings. This softer domestic start significantly impacted the film’s global tally. Overseas markets, however, painted a more encouraging picture, contributing nearly $100 million, indicating sustained international interest in the franchise.

What has further surprised industry observers is that Fire and Ash failed to achieve even half of the opening-day collections of Avatar: The Way of Water, which debuted with a staggering $441 million worldwide in 2022. Given that the first two Avatar films each crossed the $2 billion mark in their lifetime runs, expectations were naturally set extraordinarily high for the third installment.

Going forward, the film’s box office trajectory will hinge heavily on audience word of mouth and its performance during weekdays and the crucial Christmas holiday period. While the opening may not have matched projections, a strong hold and sustained momentum could still push Avatar: Fire and Ash toward the $1.5 billion milestone—though achieving parity with its predecessors will require a significant turnaround.

The song was officially unveiled by actress Samantha, adding to the buzz surrounding the project.

Composed by the ever-reliable Mickey J Meyer, with lyrics penned by KK, I Am A Champion is a high-energy celebration powered by infectious jazz beats. The track radiates confidence and flair, brought to life through the spirited vocals of P Jayaram and Ramya Behara. Its upbeat tempo and celebratory tone make it an instant crowd-pleaser.

Visually, the song is a spectacle. Thota Tharani’s lavish set design and radiant lighting elevate the grandeur, while Pony Varma’s dynamic choreography captures pure joy through movement. Every frame feels alive, blending visual splendor seamlessly with musical finesse.

Roshan commands the dance floor with poise, elegance, and impressive flexibility, while his sparkling on-screen chemistry with Avanthika adds a layer of charm. Ensemble-driven dance sequences further enhance the vibrancy, making the song an immersive experience.

An irresistible party anthem, I Am A Champion invites audiences to groove, celebrate, and revel in its infectious energy. With its strong musical appeal and striking visuals, the song is well-positioned to scale the music charts quickly.

Pusapati Family Signals Strong Political Alignment Ahead of 2029 Vizianagaram Battle

Share

Vizianagaram district has long remained under the political influence of the Pusapati royal family, whose legacy spans several decades of public service. Beginning with PVG Raju, the family has consistently produced influential leaders, including Anand Gajapathi Raju and Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who have served as MLAs, ministers, and Members of Parliament. Ashok Gajapathi Raju’s distinguished career culminated in his tenure as a Union Minister, and he is currently serving as the Governor of Goa.

In a recent development, land belonging to the Mansas Trust, owned by Ashok Gajapathi Raju’s family, has been allocated for the proposed Aviation City project at Bhimunipatnam. The programme, held in the presence of Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, drew significant political attention. During the event, Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Gajapathi Raju announced that her family would donate nearly 130 acres of land free of cost to support the project.

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Gajapathi Raju reiterated his family’s long-standing commitment to public service. He spoke warmly of Nara Lokesh, describing him as a member of his own family and likening him to a son. He further stated that the tradition of public service upheld by the Pusapati family would continue through the next generation.

These developments have sparked discussion within political circles, with many interpreting the remarks and gestures as a clear indication that Aditi Gajapathi Raju has aligned herself closely with Lokesh’s political camp. Aditi, who has already secured the Vizianagaram Assembly ticket twice, is reportedly keen to contest again in 2029. However, her prospects are not without challenges, as Backward Class (BC) groups are also staking a claim to the seat.

Political analysts suggest that if Aditi Gajapathi Raju maintains a strong and visible association with Lokesh’s camp, dislodging her from the Vizianagaram constituency in the coming elections may prove difficult.

Pawan Kalyan’s Provocation: A Strategic Trap for YSRCP

Share

Pawan Kalyan’s recent sharp rhetoric against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has drawn significant political attention, especially his warning that party leaders would be unable to withstand his anger if he chose to directly target them. At first glance, this sudden aggression appears reactive. However, a closer analysis suggests a calculated political strategy rather than an emotional outburst.

For an extended period, YSRCP has consciously avoided engaging Pawan Kalyan directly. Instead, its political attacks have been concentrated almost entirely on former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). While this approach keeps the spotlight on its principal rival, it also serves another purpose—politically marginalizing Pawan Kalyan by denying him the opportunity to consolidate his core Kapu voter base through confrontation.

Historically, Kapu voters respond strongly when Pawan Kalyan is targeted. Direct attacks on him tend to generate emotional solidarity and rally the community in his favour. Conversely, when YSRCP sidelines him and focuses on Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan struggles to position himself as a central political force, weakening his ability to mobilise and polarise support.

Recognising this dynamic, Pawan Kalyan now appears to be deliberately provoking YSRCP into engaging with him. His aggressive statements can be seen as an attempt to draw fire, forcing YSRCP leaders into a verbal confrontation. If YSRCP responds, it could inadvertently trigger Kapu consolidation behind Pawan Kalyan—precisely the outcome he seeks.

The strategic dilemma for YSRCP is clear. If the party understands this provocation as a calculated trap, it may choose to maintain silence and deny Pawan Kalyan the political oxygen he is seeking. If it reacts impulsively, it risks strengthening him by enabling the very polarization he aims to create.

Ultimately, how YSRCP responds to this challenge will serve as a test of its political maturity and strategic depth. Whether it avoids the bait or walks into the trap is something only time will reveal.

US Tightens Visa Scrutiny, Immigration Expert Warns Indians to Avoid Non-Essential Travel

Share

The United States has tightened scrutiny of non-immigrant visa holders, triggering delays in visa interviews, limiting where applicants can seek visa stamping, and expanding social media vetting — developments that could disrupt travel and employment for thousands of foreign professionals, particularly Indians.

According to US immigration attorney Aparna Dave, visa applicants across categories such as H-1B, F-1, and J-1 are already facing postponed interviews as consulates conduct more extensive background checks. She advised visa holders to avoid international travel unless absolutely necessary, warning that even valid visas now carry heightened re-entry risks.

Dave said new rules have effectively ended the long-standing practice of third-country visa stamping, forcing applicants to seek visa appointments only in their country of residence or citizenship. She also highlighted increased monitoring of applicants’ social media activity, noting that accounts may need to be made public for review.

Visa delays are being compounded by enhanced vetting at ports of entry, where US Customs and Border Protection officers can examine phones and social media, potentially leading to secondary screening and employment disruptions.

Clarifying common confusion, Dave explained that visa validity differs from lawful stay in the US, which is governed by the I-94 record. Individuals do not need to obtain a new visa stamp unless they travel outside the country.

Addressing the proposed $100,000 H-1B application fee, she clarified that it would apply only to first-time H-1B workers entering the US from abroad, with the cost borne by employers.

With Indians forming the largest group of H-1B and F-1 visa holders in the US, any tightening of travel rules, vetting standards, or costs is being closely watched due to its impact on employment, education, and family mobility.

Most Trolled Telugu Films of the Year

Share

Several big-ticket Telugu films found themselves at the centre of intense online trolling this year, with Akhanda 2 topping the list. The Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu collaboration faced backlash mainly for its over-the-top action sequences, which were evident right from the trailer launch.

Adding to the ridicule was a Hindi interview featuring director Boyapati Srinu and Balakrishna. The now-viral line, “humne already bol diya, caution kiya,” quickly turned into a meme sensation and was even remixed into DJ tracks. One particular scene, where Balakrishna lifts a man upside down to remove the evil-eye effect from a female character, attracted massive trolling and became a frequent subject of mockery on social media.

The second most trolled film of the year was NTR’s War 2, though for very different reasons. The film drew criticism due to the overconfident pre-release statements made by NTR and producer Naga Vamsi. Vamsi boldly claimed he would never request audiences to watch a film again if War 2 failed, while NTR’s confident gestures, including lifting his collar during promotions, were widely discussed. When the film eventually underperformed at the box office, both became targets of online jokes. However, the trolling faded relatively quickly and never reached the scale seen with Akhanda 2.

Third on the list was Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which faced severe criticism for its poor visual effects. Audiences were shocked by the VFX quality, leading to an avalanche of memes and sarcastic commentary online, making it one of the most mocked films of the year.

Even Game Changer was not spared. The film faced trolling for its stereotypical and exaggerated character portrayals. Anjali’s character was mocked for consistently keeping her head tilted to one side, while Sunil’s sideways walking mannerism was widely criticised as odd and cringe. Additionally, Ram Charan’s unusual “kopa rap” dance became a viral meme, drawing humour and criticism across social media platforms.

Overall, while trolling has become a common part of modern cinema culture, these films stood out for becoming year-long meme material rather than brief online chatter.

Success Has No Deadline

Share

In an age where success is measured by speed, visibility, and instant results, many young people grow up believing that if something does not happen early, it will never happen at all. Social media timelines and viral achievements reinforce the idea that life runs on a fixed schedule. But real life does not follow deadlines. Sometimes it moves only when it is ready—not when we are impatient.

Take Bobby Deol. There was a time when he was almost erased from the public imagination, especially among Gen X and Gen Y audiences. Many believed his career had ended. Yet at 55, his performance in Animal brought him massive national recognition and unexpectedly made him a Gen Z favorite. What looked like a full stop quietly turned into one of the strongest comebacks in recent Indian cinema.

Akshaye Khanna’s journey is equally powerful. For years, he was sidelined—no major films, little attention, and fading relevance in popular discourse. Then came 2025. At 50, his portrayal of Aurangzeb in Chhaava earned critical acclaim, while Dhurandhar transformed him into a cultural phenomenon. A simple dance moment to the song “Du Dus” went viral across India, Pakistan, and beyond. Today, he is more popular than ever, with renewed respect and promising opportunities ahead.

Closer home in Telugu cinema, Venkatesh achieved his first ₹100 crore film with Sankranthiki Vastunnam—a milestone that arrived after decades of steady work and patience. Interestingly, even his longtime contemporary Nagarjuna has not yet crossed this benchmark. This alone proves how unpredictable success truly is, and how timing often outweighs effort.

These are not just celebrity stories. They are reminders. Today, many young people feel lost when success does not arrive “on time.” Some slip into depression, some turn to substance abuse, and some take irreversible steps like suicide. The same pain exists among middle-aged individuals who lose businesses, fall into debt, or feel crushed by expectations from every direction.

The lesson here is not merely about working harder. It is about staying alive, staying present, and not taking extreme steps during temporary darkness. Sometimes, simply surviving is enough. Good days may come later than expected. Even if they arrive in a form different from what you imagined, allowing life to continue keeps the possibility of change alive.

Life does not end just because a chapter feels delayed. Some of the most meaningful moments arrive when we least expect them—long after we thought it was over.

Ram Charan Wraps Key Delhi Schedule for Peddi

Share

Ram Charan is currently in New Delhi filming key portions of Peddi, the highly anticipated sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The Delhi schedule, which was originally planned for last month, had been postponed due to heightened security concerns following bomb blast incidents in the capital.

After obtaining the required permissions and ensuring stringent security arrangements, the team resumed shooting and successfully completed crucial scenes at iconic locations including Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament, and surrounding areas on Saturday. These sequences are reportedly central to the film’s narrative, prompting the makers to opt for real locations to lend greater authenticity and scale to the story.

The film features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead opposite Ram Charan and is slated for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026. With the release timeline firmly in place, the makers have accelerated the production schedule to avoid further delays.

Ram Charan is expected to continue shooting in New Delhi for another two to three days to complete the remaining portions of the schedule. With the capital leg now progressing smoothly, the team is confident of wrapping up the film’s shoot by next month and releasing it as planned.
