Rural service should be mandatory for doctors: VP Venkaiah Naidu
HYDERABAD: Highlighting that the doctor-patient ratio in the country was 1:1,456 as against the WHO norm of 1:1000, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday, September 5, 2021, stressed the need to increase the number of medical colleges while referring to the government’s efforts to bridge the gap.
Speaking at the 11th annual Medical Teachers’ Day Awards function here in the city, the Vice President also said that three to five years service in rural areas for young doctors was essential while pointing out that 60 per cent of the country’s population lives in the villages. According to an official press release issued here, Vice President said: “It (serving in rural area) must be made mandatory. I know that it will not be liked by many. But I feel that is the need.”
Describing the medical profession as a noble mission, he advised doctors not to give any remission or commit omission, but to serve the nation with passion. The Vice President asked the doctors to remember the core value of compassion for humanity in all their actions, and said “Let that be your moral compass when in dilemma and always adhere to the highest level of ethics.”
Chiranjeevi wishes all success to Seetimaarr team
Seetimaarr director Sampath Nandi met Megastar Chiranjeevi at his residence and sought blessings from the ace actor ahead of the movie release on September 10 as Vinayaka Chaturthi special.
The video released by the movie team shows Chiranjeevi and Sampath Nandi watching the trailer of Seetimarr and the Acharya actor appreciating it.
“It is impressive. Seetimarr is based on rural sport kabaddi. I know Sampath Nandi for a long time. He is good at narration,” Chiru said.
He also added that films with such stories are the need of the hour, especially when our girls have won in Tokyo Olympics. The actor reminded that he felicitated Olympic winner PV Sindhu and said films like Seetimaarr would motivate all.
Seetimaarr that based on kabaddi, sees both Gopichand and Tamannaah as coaches. The film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen.
Thalaivii: Vijayendra Prasad’s big comment on Kangana Ranaut
The pre-release event of Thalaivii, the biopic of late chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa was held in Hyderabad yesterday. The film is being dubbed and released in Telugu with the same title.
Speaking at the event, veteran screenwriter, Vijayendra Prasad heaped praises on Kangana Ranaut. “She was a bit hesitant about doing the role at first. After I assured she could be herself and add an additional layer to Jayalalithaa’s character in the film, she came on board. Mark my word – Kangan will be on the top chair someday,” he said.
Kangana stated that she feels elated to have essayed the role of such a strong personality like Jayalalithaa. She thanked Vijaendra Prasad for picking her for the role.
Thalaivii is directed by AL Vijay and it features Aravind Swamy in an important role. Vijayendra Prasad provided the story and screenplay for the biographical drama. The film releases in theaters on the 10th of September.

No state witnessed development like Telangana did: Finance Minister Harish Rao
KARIMNAGAR: Pointing out that Telangana is the only State that has given tractors to gram panchayats, ensured the construction of enough crematoriums and provided water and electricity to all households, Finance Minister T Harish Rao asked the BJP to show at least one State being ruled by them that has all the aforementioned facilities.
He was taking part in an Athmeeya Sammelanam organised by gram panchyat employees and the members of Rythu Samanvaya Samiti in Jammikunta on Sunday. Taking a jibe at BJP leader Eatala Rajender, Harish demanded that the former minister exert pressure on the Central government and get it to revoke the three Farm Laws, if he cares about the welfare of ryots.
“During the tenure as a minister, you (Eatala) spoke a lot about the three Farm Laws and how it will affect the livelihood of ryots. Why are you silent now,” Harish asked. The Finance Minister also stated that the TRS is the only party that has the right to seek votes in Telangana. “The BJP has no right to seek the votes of farmers in Huzurabad without repealing the three draconian laws,” he added.
Referring to various developmental works being carried out by the government, Harish said that it is planning to set up a medical college in the Assembly constituency soon.“The same farmers who once had to take to the streets demanding irrigation water are now receiving water in abundance. It even reached a point, this season, wherein the ryots finally had to request the government to stop releasing water for some time,” he said and exuded confidence of TRS victory in the forthcoming byelection.

Another shocker for Sharmila: Minority leader leaves YSRTP
Here is another shocker for YS Sharmila. Even as her attempts to revive the sagging fortunes of her YSRTP in Telangana have fallen flat on their face, another key member has left the party. Ibrahim, who is a prominent figure in Mahabubnagar politics has decided to resign from the YSRCP claiming that the party does not have any policy or programme.
Ibrahim was a prominent TRS leader and had contested in the bypoll for Mahabubnagar assembly constituency. He is a well-known minority face in Mahabubnagar politics. He joined YS Sharmila’s party early on and played a key role in organising party meetings in the district. However, he resigned on Sunday claiming that the hard-working cadre did not get any recognition in the party. He said the YSRCP was a directionless outfit with no organisational structure.
Ibrahim is the third prominent leader to resign from the YSRCP. First it was party’s chief spokesperson Indira Shobhan. She had left the Congress to join the YSRTP. But, soon she fell out and left the party. She is now back into the Congress Party. Another prominent leader, Pratap Reddy of Chevella too has resigned from the party. Ibrahim is the third leader of importance to leave the party. Sources say that several other leaders, who joined the YSRTP in the hope that it would emerge as an alternative to the TRS, are disillusioned and are planning to quit the party.
YS Sharmila is now said to be planning to launch a 100-day yatra across Telangana. The yatra is set to begin from Chevella, the place where her father used to customarily launch all his programmes. The yatra would be launched on October 18. However, the spate of desertions from the YSRTP has put a question mark over the effectiveness of the proposed yatra.

Nagarjuna Akkineni recently announced Bangarraju, the prequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana, which was released during 2016 Sankranthi and turned out to be a super hit.
Bangarraju started rolling very recently and the unit is currently filming a few crucial scenes in Mysore. The Mysore schedule commenced today.
Coming to the topic, we are hearing that Akhil Akkineni will also be a part of Bangarraju. He will be joining Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna, who play the lead roles in the film.
Akhil won’t be playing a full-length role, but instead, make a guest appearance. Nevertheless, his role will be an impactful one. Watching the Akkineni trio share the screen space really would offer an eye feast to Akkineni fans.

ప్రభుత్వ పెద్దలకు ఎవరో తప్పుడు సలహాలు ఇస్తుండడం వల్లే ఇలాంటి వివాదాలు తెరపైకొస్తున్నాయన్న వాదనలు లేకపోలేదు. నిజమే, దేశంలో కరోనా మూడో వేవ్ ముప్పు పొంచి వుంది. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ కరోనా నిబంధనలు పాటించాలి. ప్రజలు దాన్నొక బాధ్యతగా భావించాలి. కానీ, పాలకులు చేస్తున్నదేంటి.? వాళ్ళకు నిబంధనలు వర్తించడంలేదు. బహిరంగ సభల్లోనూ మాస్కులు ధరించడంలేదు అధికార పార్టీ నాయకుల్లో చాలామంది. వాళ్ళపై చర్యలుండటంలేదు.
నిబంధనలు కేవలం సామాన్యల్ని ఇబ్బంది పెట్టడం కోసం, ప్రజల సెంటిమెంట్లను దెబ్బ కొట్టడం కోసమేనంటే అది సమర్థనీయం కానే కాదు.
Pawan responds to attacks on Janasainiks
The Jana Sena party has taken up the job of identifying all the dilapidated roads of the state of Andhra Pradesh, and post photographs or videos of the same on social media, showing everyone the situation of the roads in the state.
In the process, several Jana Senanis have been attacked by the ruling party members, which involves 23 members of the YSRCP attacking 7 Jana Senanis, including Sri Pedada Rammohan Rao, who is a senior member of the Jana Sena and belongs to the Srikakulam constituency.
Pawan said that it is sad to see that Rammohan, along with several other members of the party, including women, were attacked in Srikakulam, which happens to be AP Speaker, Sitaram’s consistency.
Pawan went on to criticise the police department for not being responsible enough to file cases on those who are responsible for these attacks and thanked Palavalasa Ysaswi for protesting in front of the district’s SP office and make sure that the cases against the perpetrators were filed by the Police department.
Furthermore, Pawan said that the police department shouldn’t be biased towards a single political party, and should instead try to serve the people of the state rightly. Pawan also highlighted the fact that similar instances took place in Bhimavaram.
Pawan said that his party members are carrying on their protest in a very peaceful way, and requested the ruling party to not bring about a situation where he would have to get onto the roads himself.
Pawan pointed out that the Jana Sena took up this protest for the good of the people as the roads of the state were turning out to be a death trap for the people.
