Can Jagan make the job calendar right this time?
The first time that the YS Jagan government released the job calendar in Andhra Pradesh, they received a lot of backlash from the youth of the state, as there were only 10,000 jobs that were posted, where the government had promised more than 2 and a half lakh jobs during elections. Moreover, the sectors in which the youth were mostly pinning their hopes on, had listed not many jobs, and so is the case with the jobs in the police department.
As a result, the unemployed and students of the state have now decided to stage protests and hunger strikes throughout the state, on the 4th and 5th of August. If this happens, and if the situation gets out of hand during that time, then the government would be greatly embarrassed. As a result, the government is said to be planning to release a new job calendar very soon.
With the opposition parties in the favour of the unemployed, and the unemployed also angered about the false facts where the government is claiming to have filled up nearly 6 lakh jobs, the government is said to be trying its best to rectify the situation. AP DGP Gautam Sawang also said that there are many posts in the Police department, but that recruitment is not taking place due to the current situations not being good enough for training anyone.
Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas, and Mahesh Babu Taking A Big Risk?
Next Sankranthi, not one or two, but three big-ticket projects will be coming up against each other. Namely, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Radhe Shya, and Pawan Kalyan’s Ayappanum Koshiyum remake will be hitting the silver screens next Sankranthi season. All these three projects are big-budgeted and they will be releasing amidst sky-high buzz and anticipation. Not often do we see three mainstream Telugu biggies releasing in at the same release window, but we will be seeing something similar next Sankranthi season as Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Pawan Kalyan-Rana’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake, and Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam will be out in theaters with less than a week’s gap. This might look exciting but there is a whole lot of risk associated with it.
With three biggies to choose from, the family audience and even the general cine-goers will pick the one with the best word of mouth. Or at the very best, they might pick two films. So, the film that has the weakest word of mouth will be a complete washout at the box office. The audience will invariably lap up the film with the best response and sideline the others. This is a serious risk that could greatly affect the box office performance of these films.
Not just that, Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s F3 is also releasing next Sankranthi. The film caters to family audiences and it will naturally have an edge in the long run. As things stand, the makers of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Radhe Shyam, and Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake are taking a huge risk by releasing their films with less than a week’s gap. Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Radhe Shyam have already locked January 13th and 14th as the release dates and Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake is touted to release on 12th January.
Radhe Shyam had already wrapped up the shoot and there won’t be any change in the release date no matter what. As for Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Ayyapanum Koshiyum, both these projects are mid-way through the shoot. It remains to be seen if all three of these films will actually lock horns at the box office.
Kim Jong Un’s sister warns South Korea-US drills will rekindle tensions
SEOUL: The powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned Sunday that next month’s annual military drills between South Korean and US troops will undermine prospects for better ties between the Koreas, just days after the rivals reopened their long-dormant communication channels.
Kim Yo Jong’s statement carried by state media targets only South Korea, and this could add credence to a theory that North Korea’s decision to restore the communication lines is aimed at pushing Seoul to convince Washington to make concessions while nuclear diplomacy remains deadlocked.
“For some days I have been hearing an unpleasant story that joint military exercises between the South Korean army and the US forces could go ahead as scheduled,” Kim Yo Jong said.
“I view this as an undesirable prelude which seriously undermines the will of the top leaders of the North and the South wishing to see a step taken toward restoring mutual trust and which further beclouds the way ahead of the North-South relations,” she said.
She added: “Our government and army will closely follow whether the South Korean side stages hostile war exercises in August or makes other bold decision.”
Regular drills between Seoul and Washington have been a long-running source of animosities on the Korean Peninsula, with North Korea calling them an invasion rehearsal and responding with missile tests.
South Korea and the US have repeatedly said their drills are defensive in nature.
In the past few years, South Korea and the US have cancelled or downsized some of their exercises to support diplomatic efforts to end the North Korean nuclear crisis or because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Asked about prospects for next month’s summertime drills, Boo Seung-Chan, a spokesman at South Korea’s Defense Ministry, told a briefing Thursday that Seoul and Washington were reviewing factors like the pandemic’s current status, efforts to achieve denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and their combined military readiness.
The US-led diplomacy aimed at persuading North Korea to abandon its nuclear programme in return for economic and political rewards hasn’t made progress since a second summit between Kim Jong Un and then-President Donald Trump broke down because of disputes over U.S.-led sanctions in early 2019.
South Korea’s government led by President Moon Jae-in, which wants greater reconciliations between the Koreas, had earlier shuttled between Pyongyang and Washington to arrange the first summit between Trump and Kim.
But North Korea later resumed harsh rhetoric against South Korea, telling it not to meddle in its dealings with the United States.
Some experts said Pyongyang shifted the responsibility for the collapse of the second Kim-Trump summit to Seoul and was frustrated with Seoul’s failure to break away from Washington and revive stalled joint economic projects held back by the sanctions.
Myanmar military leader says elections will be in 2 years
NAYPYITAW: Six months after seizing power from the elected government, Myanmar’s military leader on Sunday repeated his pledge to hold fresh elections in two years and cooperate with Southeast Asian nations on finding a political solution for his country.
“We must create conditions to hold a free and fair multiparty general election,” Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said during a recorded televised address.
“We have to make preparations. I pledge to hold the multiparty general election without fail. The military authorities would “accomplish the provisions of the state of emergency by August 2023,” he said.
The state of emergency was declared when troops moved against the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi on February 1, an action the generals said was permitted under the military-authored 2008 constitution.
The military claimed her landslide victory in last year’s national elections was achieved through massive voter fraud but it has produced no credible evidence.
The military government officially annulled the election results last Tuesday and appointed a new election commission to take charge of the polls.
The military takeover was met with massive public protests that resulted in a lethal crackdown by security forces who routinely fire live ammunition into crowds.
As of Sunday, 939 people have been killed by the authorities since February 1, according to a tally kept by the independent Assistance Association for Political Prisoners.
Casualties are also rising among the military and police as armed resistance grows in both urban and rural areas.
Moves by The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to broker a dialogue between the military government and its opponents have stalled after an agreement at an April summit in Jakarta to appoint a special envoy for Myanmar.
The envoy still hasn’t been named amid criticism of lack of commitment from Myanmar’s rulers, and reluctance by its neighbours to interfere in a member’s affairs.
Ahead of a meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers hosted by Brunei this week, Min Aung Hlaing pushed back at the criticism, saying Myanmar “is ready to work on ASEAN cooperation within the ASEAN framework, including the dialogue with the ASEAN special envoy in Myanmar.
” The country is also struggling with its worst COVID-19 outbreak that has overwhelmed its already crippled health care system.
Limitations on oxygen sales have led to widespread allegations that the military is directing supplies to government supporters and military-run hospitals.
At the same time, medical workers have been targeted by authorities after spearheading a civil disobedience movement that urged professionals and civil servants not to cooperate with the government.

Transport minister Nani accuses Naidu of shedding crocodile tears
VIJAYAWADA: Minister for Transport Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) slammed TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for “shedding crocodile tears” on BC, SC, ST and minorities while in the opposition after abandoning them when he was in power.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is upholding social justice by giving a prominent role to BCs, SCs , STs and minorities on all fronts. During Naidu’s rule, all the Rajya Sabha seats and two Union cabinet posts were given to upper castes, the minister pointed out.
Responding to the chaos in Mylavaram, he said that Devineni Uma tried to create turmoil in Mylavaram and those who had been attacked by his men have filed complaints and the police have registered cases based on the complaints.
He said that Devineni Uma was involved in illegal mining during the TDP regime, but now he is trying to rub that on the YSRC MLA to divert the attention of people and gain sympathy. YSRCP members meeting BJP, but was it approved?
It is very common for any political party members to meet with Union ministers every now and then, and discuss various issues. However, it so happens that permissions for these meetings are taken in prior, with the concerned party’s high command. This is why the latest meeting that the YSRCP ministers had with several union ministers has become the talk of the town.
Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupati, who was recently in Delhi, met with Union Ministers to discuss the various issues in the state. Inside News: Naga Shaurya gives a big shock to Lakshya director..?
It is known that Naga Shaurya is starring in an archery-based sports drama titled Lakshya. This film had a wrapped shoot and it is presently in the post-production phase. Here is an interesting update on the film.
Apparently, Shaurya gave a few creative inputs to the director of Lakshya, Santosh Jagarlamudi. The director incorporated these inputs and moulded the script accordingly.
Well, actors giving inputs to directors is not a new trend. Almost every actor in Tollywood, be it a top star or a mid-range hero give creative inputs to their directors. But they don’t expect to be credited for the same. However, that is not the case with Naga Shaurya.
Shaurya, who had suggested a few changes to the script of Lakshya, wants to be credited for his efforts. He wants the additional screenplay writer credit for his efforts. His demand has left the director Santosh in a state of shock. The director did not expect Shaurya to ask for writing credits just for providing a handful of inputs. He is unable to determine how to react to Shaurya’s demand.

Make ‘Surajya’ your mission, PM Modi tells IPS probationers
HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, laid out a 25-year mission for IPS probationers to journey from ‘Swarajya’ to ‘Surajya’ when the nation will celebrate 100 years of Independence in 2047. Modi was interacting with IPS probationers of the 2019 batch, who completed their training at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP NPA), Hyderabad.
During the virtual interaction, the Prime Minister addressed various aspects of policing. “Remember you are on a 25-year mission. Before 1947, it was a fight for Swarajya and young people like you had played a great role in making it a reality. Now, the responsibility on this young generation of officers is to achieve Surajya. Every decision you make, every initiative you take up in service, will have a great impact in achieving this,” Modi told the probationers.
Overall, 178 probationers including 144 IPS trainees and 34 candidates from neighbouring countries of Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Mauritius, who underwent the training, participated in the interaction. Thirty-three of the IPS probationers are women. The PM interacted with a few of the officers, asking about their interests while encouraging them.
‘Dispel negative image’
During the course of his interaction, Modi asked the probationers to change the negative image that the public sometimes carries of the police.“During the pandemic, police across the country worked with people and agencies from various walks of life. They were seen helping people, cooking and feeding the poor. This changed the image to a large extent, but it is back to normal now. The process should not stop here. It ought to be a continuous one,” he said.
Friendly policing, said Modi, was the need of the hour. The mantra of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ should be etched in the minds of officers, he emphasised. Calling the IPS probationers the “brand ambassadors” of this mantra, Modi told them to think not just from the perspective of the police station. “Get acquainted with every aspect in your area, be friendly with people and ensure that the uniform gains the highest respect, even as you maintain law and order,” he advised.
Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav
Modi spoke about the Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav, as India celebrates 75 years of Independence a few days from now. “I do not know how many of you have visited Dandi or Sabarmati Ashram. Let me remind you of Mahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March. When Gandhiji completed his march after 24 days, the whole nation came together to fight for freedom. Our nation wants such zeal and commitment from you all and other young people at this moment,” the PM said.

Kiara Advani Preferred RC15 Over NTR30?
A while back, Kiara Advani hinted about her comeback to Tollywood. She said that her next South Indian project would be announced very soon. In accordance with the same, Kiara Advani was recently announced as the female lead in Ram Charan and Shankar’s RC15. She will be joining the sets of the political thriller whenever prompted. The first schedule will be commencing early this September and the song featuring Kiara and Ram Charan will be shot in the first schedule.
Incidentally, Kiara was also the first choice actress for Koratala Siva and Jr NTR’s NTR30 as well. But she did not come on board for the project, owing to the issue of the dates She could not allot her dates for the projects and when the decision had to be made, she picked RC15 over NTR30. This decision is purely dependant on the dates issue and there is nothing more to it than that. That said, this is just mere speculation for now and there is no affirmative update on the same.
Kiara Advani, who was last seen in Vinaya Vidheya Rama which coincidentally starred Ram Charan in the lead role will be back in action again for RC15. Also, she was bowled over by Shankar’s political thriller story also the role he had penned for her. She immediately signed the dotted line and came on board for the project. She is really excited about collaborating with two powerhouses, Charan and Shankar. RC15 is being projected as a pan-India film and it will be Kiara’s maiden pan-India film as well.
Coming to NTR30, the makers are now in search of another suitable alternative who can bring glamour and acting prowess to the table. The makers plan on roping in the actress for the female lead role in the next few weeks so that they can commence the shoot without any last-minute hurdles. Koratla Siva has zeroed in on a couple of actresses and the makers will be initiating talks with these actresses very soon. More details about the Jr NTR starrer will be out once the project is officially launched, which is not too far from now. The project will be bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and it will be a pan-India film as well.
