YS Jagan prepares to rejig his council of ministers
Now that the Central Government has reshuffled the council of ministers, there is a talk of even YS Jagan Mohan Reddy planning to undertake a rejig of his council of ministers. The rejig, undertaken by Modi, has ensured that a lot of negativity surrounding the ministry was cut off. All the ministers can start anew. This also means that they would have a window period for at least six months.
Now even Jagan is said to be thinking on the same lines. He is said to be unhappy with the performance of several ministers. Especially, the five deputy chief ministers he had appointed proved to be very ineffective, according to sources. He is said to be planning to replace all the five deputy chief ministers.
Recently, one deputy chief minister has almost fallen at the feet of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to impress him. However, Jagan dissuaded him thrice from doing so. Yet, the deputy CM touched Jagan’s feet. Jagan was very angry at this and warned the ministers not to do it again. He reportedly told the minister that he was far too young and that the deputy CM should not touch his feet.
In fact, Jagan had indicated at the outset that he would change his council of ministers half way through. He said the ministers have to prove their worth within the two-and-a-half year period. He has also reportedly promised several disappointed MLAs that their turn would come after the half-time. He has done a lot of number juggling and a lot of caste calculations to constitute his cabinet. He is likely to do the same this time too. Sources say that he is likely to change at least 20 ministers.
VV Vinayak cites this as a reason behind delay of ‘Seenayya’
Director VV Vinayak, who reached the top position in Tollywood with mass entertainers, had failed to hold the position and gave back-to-back flop films. Vinayak made his debut as a director with Aadi in 2002, which established Jr. NTR as a star.
After impressing us with his wide range of films as director, Vinayak has turned actor for Seenayya. Ace producer Dil Raju is the producer of Vinayak starrer ‘Seenayya’. The film was announced in 2019. The first look from Seenayya was also dropped. However, there has been no further update on the film since then.
VV Vinayak spoke about why his debut film as actor ‘Seenayya’ didn’t happen. Alludu Seenu director Vinayak said, the output of the film didn’t come as expected and hence the project didn’t materialise. Vinayak also cited ongoing Covid as a reason for the delay of his film.
On the work front, VV Vinayak is all set to enter Bollywood with the Hindi remake of Chatrapathi. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is playing the lead role and he will be surprising Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s role in the remake.
Talking about Bollywood debut as a director, Vinayak said, it is a new experience and he is eagerly waiting for the new journey. Jayantilal Gada is producing the film under the Pen Studios banner.
Actress waiting for comeback, willing to shake a leg in songs like Pakka Local
Mumbai beauty Kamna Jethmalani had shot to fame in Tollywood with back-to-back hits like Ranam, Samanyudu,Bendu Apparao R.M.P, and Kathi Kantha Rao. She had acted in other southern languages like Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam and tasted success.
Kamna Jethmalani was the guest in the previous episode of the popular Telugu talk show Alitho Saradaga’ hosted by comedian-actor Ali. During the show, she was asked about her comeback to film by Ali.
Taking the question, Samanyudu actress Kamna Jethmalani said she wants to make a comeback to films and has been waiting for a good project. She said, she wants to appear in special songs.
Saying that she liked Kajal Aggarwal’s special song Pakka Local from Janatha Garage, Kamna Jethmalani expressed her willingness to appear in likewise songs. She had earlier shook her leg in Mahesh Babu starrer Sainikudu in ‘Orugalluke Pilla’ folk song.
Kamna Jethmalani was last seen in Tollywood in 2013 in Jagadguru Adi Shankara. She was married to Suraj, a noted businessman in 2015. The couple was blessed with two daughters.
KTR assures establishment of Telangana Special Food Processing Zone in Narayanpet
NARAYANPET: IT and Industries Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has assured that the state government would sanction Telangana Special Food Processing Zone for Narayanpet district once 250 acres of land is identified and proposals are sent to the government.
Addressing a meeting held as part of the Pattana Pragathi programme in Narayanpet town on Saturday, he has also assured irrigation to the drought-prone district through Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS).
He also spoke about land acquisition for the proposed Narayanpet canal, which intends to fetch water from the Karivena reservoir in Mahabubnagar, to irrigate 1 lakh acres of land in Narayanpet. He asked the people to actively participate in the public hearing that would be held on August 10 regarding the canal’s construction and express their support for the same.
Chalaaki Chinnammi from Narappa: A soothing melody
The first single from Venkatesh’s Narappa is here. Titled ‘Chalaaki Chinnammi’ this melody depicts the love track of Karthik Ratnam, who plays Venkatesh’s son in the film.
The tune is soothing and so as the vocals. The song has Mani Sharma mark stamped all over it. But the song isn’t an instant chartbuster. It grows on its listeners and will take time to create an impression.
The rustic visuals shown in the lyrical video are good. A glimpse of the family bonding between the lead characters is given in the teaser and it looks fresh.
There is still no clarity on whether Narappa will be releasing on theaters or stream directly on OTT platforms. In his brief media interaction on Saturday, Suresh Babu hinted that the film might head for OTT release but nothing is for certain for now.
Narappa is directed by Srikanth Addala and the entire shoot has been wrapped up already. Priyamani pairs with Venkatesh in the film.

Telangana government to spend Rs 8000 crore on Zilla Parishad schools
KHAMMAM: Minister for Panchayati Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said on Saturday that the State government is planning to spend Rs 8,000 crore to develop Zilla Parishad (ZP) high schools on par with corporate schools by providing all facilities, including the best infrastructure.
As part of it, the government will select four ZP schools from each mandal and prepare proposals on what should be done to improve them. Before sending the proposals, officials will conduct meeting with old students of the selected schools and consider their suggestions on what should be done to develop the school.
Errabelli said the State government is committed to provide the best education to all sections of the society.
On Saturday, he visited the remote Gundala mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district along with Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and inaugurated a Rs 4.21-crore high-level bridge constructed on Mallanna vagu at Narasapuram village. The Ministers also inaugurated a check dam constructed on Mallanna vagu.
TDP on the lookout for new State party chief
HYDERABAD: After the exit of L Ramana, the TDP, which has already lost ground in Telangana, has begun an exercise to appoint a new chief for its State unit. Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with senior leaders on Saturday.
A source from the TDP said that the chances of considering the daughter of late Nandamuri Harikrishna, Nandamuri Suhasini, for the post has not been ruled out yet.

KCR sought BJP alliance after GHMC polls: Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar
NIZAMABAD: Karimnagar MP and BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Saturday, claimed that after the saffron party secured more seats in the GHMC elections, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao rushed to Delhi to meet Amit Shah and offered the Mayoral post to the BJP.
However, the Union Home Minister rejected an alliance with the TRS, stating that the BJP did not want an alliance with parties and leaders facing corruption charges, said Sanjay Kumar.
Speaking at the BJP Nizamabad district committee meeting, which was held on Saturday in a private function hall at Chittapur village of Balkonda mandal in Nizamabad district, Bandi said that after the GHMC elections, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had told his family members and elected representatives that they would very soon join the NDA.
He also alleged that KCR told his ministers that if the alliance happened, he would become the Minister for Agricultural in the Union Cabinet. “The BJP will not go for an alliance with the TRS. They share power with the AIMIM in the GHMC. The people of the State will decide their fate at an appropriate time,” said Bandi.
He directed party activists to start agitations on peoples’ issues in the district to build pressure on local MLAs. He said that there was no development in the constituencies and that BJP cadre should demand that MLAs take up development works or submit the resignation.
He said that due to the BJP’s agitations, the Chief Minister had fianlly come out from his farmhouse and was touring in the State. “We will force the Chief Minister to intensively tour in State to address public issues. The dream of the party is to see that the saffron flag is hoisted on the Golconda Fort. By keeping this in mind, the party network should be strengthened at all levels,” he said.
He has said with these aims in mind, BJP leaders and activists should strengthen the party at the polling booth level. BJP district president Baswa Laxminarasaiah presided the meeting and Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri and several other party leaders addressed the meeting.
Acharya: Ram Charan’s imposing look as Siddha
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya is one of the highly anticipated films of Tollywood. The film has been in the headlines ever since its inception for many reasons.

The poster features Ram Charan as Siddha. He can be seen with a thick moustache and in all devotional attire. This picture is sure to give high energy to his fans, who are waiting to watch him on the big screens.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the film needs 10 days to wrap up the shooting, which includes a fight sequence with Ram Charan. Touted to be an action drama, Acharya features Charan plays a Naxalite Siddha. Pooja Hegde plays his love interest Neelambari while Kajal Aggarwal will be seen opposite Chiranjeevi.
