ఖైరతాబాద్ ఎమ్మెల్యే దానం నాగేందర్ కు 2013 లో నమోదు అయిన కేసులో జైలు శిక్ష ఖరారు అయ్యింది. ఒక వ్యక్తి పై దాడి చేసి గాయపర్చినట్లుగా కేసు నమోదు అయ్యింది. ఆ కేసుకు సంబంధించిన సుదీర్ఘ విచారణ కు పూర్తి అయ్యింది. హైదరాబాద్ జిల్లా మెట్రోపాలిటిన్ క్రిమినల్ కోర్టు ప్రజా ప్రతినిధుల కోర్టు దానం నాగేందర్ కు వెయ్యి రూపాయల జరిమానాతో పాటు ఆరు నెలల జైలు శిక్షను ఖరారు చేస్తూ కోర్టు తీర్పు ఇచ్చింది. ఈ శిక్షపై ఆయనకు పై కోర్టు కు వెళ్లేందుకు అనుమతి ఇచ్చింది.
ఈ కేసు విచారణలో దానం నాగేందర్ తో పాటు మరొకరిపై కూడా కేసు నమోదు అయ్యింది. ఆయన్ను కూడా దోషిగా నిర్థారిస్తూ తీర్పు వచ్చింది. ఈ కేసు విచారణ పూర్తి అయిన నేపథ్యంలో జైలు శిక్షకు నెల రోజుల సమయంను కోర్టు ఇచ్చింది. ఆ సమయంలో దానం ఉన్నత న్యాయ స్థానంకు వెళ్లే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. ఆ సమయంలో ఆయన పై తుది తీర్పు వచ్చేందుకు మరి కొన్ని సంవత్సరాలు పడుతుందని న్యాయ నిపుణులు అంటున్నారు. అలా ఆయన జైలుకు వెళ్లకుండానే ఉంటాడని కొందరు అసహనం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
