It is becoming increasingly clear that YS Sharmila is no pushover politically. She seems to have a mind of her own and a plan for Telangana. She seems to have understood the Telangana psyche very well. She has clearly understood that the Telangana people are highly sentimental and sentiment plays a key role in their decisions, unlike the Andhraites, who are cool and calculated.

Her understanding of Telangana’s sentimental attitude is reflected in her party flag. The party flag has the image of Pala Pitta. Known in English as Blue Jay or Indian Roller, Palapitta has great sentimental value for Telanganaites. The sighting of the bird is a very important part of the Dasara ritual. So, the colour of 80 per cent of the flag will be in Palapitta’s cover, while the remaining 20 per cent will be in blue colour. The party flag would be unveiled on July 8 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of YSR.

The flag will have a pic of YSR in the Telangana state’s outline. She has been cleverly trying to revive the memories of late YSR and his love for Telangana. She feels that this will help her in garnering Telangana sentiment. On YSR”s birth anniversary, her party workers will garland the statues of YSR across Telangana.

The BJP led union government, which is still facing the wrath of the controversial farm bills has brought another controversial bill. This time, the new bill is connected with the Indian film industry.

The new Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill 2021 which bats for the amendments to the Cinematograph Act has attracted negative reactions from celebrities across the country. Bollywood and Kollywood led the celebrities who are opposing the new bill. They have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scrap the bill.

Several actors and filmmakers from the Indian film fraternity have vented their voices against the proposed bill and opined that the new bill will hinder the freedom of expression of the filmmakers.

While the stars from the neighboring industries are reacting to the burning issue, there is no response from the Tollywood stars. The first reaction from Tollywood in this regard came from Sudheer Babu.

In a thread of tweets, Sudheer Babu opined that cinema is already an easy target and the cinematography bills will make cinema even a much easier target. Calling freedom of expression a constitutional right, Sudheer Babu said we should not be deprived of it.

The Baaghi actor Sudheer Babu even took a dig at the current politics and summarised Indian politics in three dimensions- Religion vs Religion, Caste vs Caste, Region vs Region. He also opined that if the politicians are bound to accountability, criminal cases would be filed against half of the politicians.

The Prema Katha Chitram actor Sudheer Babu had requested the government to think again about the new cinematography bill saying that cinema is currently going through a lot of processes under the Central Board of Film Certification(CBFC).

‘While cinema is already an easy target, the #Cinematographbill makes it much easier to target. We should not be deprived of a constitutional right called freedom of expression. We don’t want an atmosphere of fear. What’s the use of having a CBFC if there’s a concept of re-censor?,’ Sudheer Babu tweeted.

Under the proposed draft Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill 2021, the central government possesses the right to cancel the film’s cursor certificate issued by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The bill also gives power to the union government to remove a film from the theatres.

Andhra MLC lodges complaint alleging threat calls

KADAPA: The newly-nominated Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Kadapa district, R Ramesh Yadav, lodged a complaint with the Proddutur police stating that he has received threatening calls on his mobile phone from unknown persons. According to Ramesh Yadav, who was recently nominated as the MLC under Governor Quota, unknown persons threatened him that he would meet the fate of TDP BC leader Nandam Subbaiah, who was killed in Somulavaripalle of Proddutur mandal on December 29 last year.

Ramesh Yadav told the police that he received the calls twice on the midnight of June 25 and at 10.15 pm and 10.20 pm on June 26. The unknown caller had reportedly asked Ramesh Yadav to leave Produttur. As it is a non-cognisable offence, the Proddutur police sought the permission of the court, which gave nod to register a case. During their investigation, police found that the calls were made through the internet and are trying to trace the location

KCR behaving like Adolf Hitler on water issue: Andhra BJP

VIJAYAWADA: Describing Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) as Adolf Hitler, BJP state general secretary S Vishnu Vardhan Reddy came down heavily on the TRS chief accusing the latter of deliberately disregarding the norms and continuing hydel power generation at Pulichintala project that led to wastage of Krishna water.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy slammed Chandrasekhara Rao alleging that the Telangana Chief Minister would be remembered in history for wasting water because of his bitterness towards Andhra Pradesh farmers.

“Over 8,600 cusecs of water had to be let waste into the sea because Telangana is continuing power generation deliberately to hurt the interests of Andhra Pradesh. Today’s society has not seen Adolf Hitler, but both the Telugu states can see him in Chandrasekhara Rao,” he observed. “History will never forget the Telangana Chief Minister’s arrogant and politically-driven actions. One day, Telangana farmers also will teach you (KCR) a lesson,” Vishnu Vardhan Reddy predicted.

Team RRR affirms film’s release date with new poster

Team RRR recently released a new poster featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR which had the release date – 13th October imprinted on it. This all but confirmed that the film will indeed be releasing on 13th October, as announced earlier this year.

Now, the makers of RRR have affirmed the release date with another new poster. Marking the occasion of MM Keervani’s birthday today, team RRR unveiled a new poster.

This poster also publicizes the release date – 13th October.

Despite the delay in shoot, the makers of RRR seem to determined to release the film as per initial release plans.

The remaining portion will be shot in lengthy schedule which is commencing on 10th of this month. The entire shoot will be wrapped with this schedule. The film looks set to hit the marquee this Dasara, 13th October.

Hyderabad to get vaccine testing laboratory: Kishan Reddy

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy announced on Saturday that a vaccine testing laboratory would be established in Hyderabad at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, near Gachibowli. It is expected to commence operations in a month. Kishan Reddy said that funds from the PM CARES scheme were released on March 6, 2021, for setting up two new vaccine testing laboratories in the country — in Hyderabad and at National Centre for Cell Science, Pune — in addition to the existing ones at Central Drug Laboratory (CDL), Kasauli, and National Institute of Biologicals, Noida.

The MoS’ announcement comes close on the heels of Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao writing to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan last month, requesting him to establish the laboratory in Hyderabad.


The minister pointed out that Hyderabad had emerged as the vaccination capital of the world, with one-third of the global vaccine supply was being produced here. Moreover, the entire process of sending vaccines from Hyderabad to Kasauli for testing takes close to 30-45 days, which was time-consuming, the minister added.

In a statement released on Saturday, the minister said, “Considering the fact that the city is home to many pharma and R&D companies, setting up the laboratory here is a big step towards overall development of the sector, which will also boost Covid-19 vaccine production.”

SIDDIPET : Oil palm cultivation is suitable in coastal areas but due to Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), undertaken by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, 26 districts in the State are able to produce palm oil, Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Saturday. The minister visited Kshirasagar, Bussapur, Venkatapur, Ponnala and other villages in Gajwel and Siddipet constituencies as part of the Palle Pragathi programme. “We are currently importing palm oil worth Rs 60,000 crore from neighbouring countries. In the coming days, we will produce our own palm oil to the level of exporting it,” he said.

The Minister asked the farmers of Siddipet district to always be ready for palm oil cultivation. Agriculture is not a routine process, he said, and called on the farmers to adapt to changing times and market demand.
“Oil palm cultivation is going to be a lucrative exercise and the CM aims to increase it and get higher income for farmers.

The government will help provide a subsidy of Rs 43,000 per hectare for palm oil cultivation — with the farmer paying only Rs 4,300 and the government paying the remaining Rs 39,000,” he said. Harish Rao assured Bussapur and Venkatapur villagers from Siddipet constituency, that the irrigation water through the lift irrigation scheme will be diverted to them.

RRR’s VFX and CGI works in full swing

RRR shoot is nearing completion and the remaining portion will be shot a brisk pace starting from 10th of this month. Only two songs are left to be shot and the same will be wrapped up in the next 45 days or so.

The latest we hear is that team RRR is carrying out the post-production activities simultaneously with shoot. Multiple studios are working on VFX, CGI, and graphics portion of the film.

Rajamouli intends to get his hands in the final cut at the earliest and he is planning the shooting plan in the most efficient way possible. The fact that he is planning the shooting schedules and VFX development simultaneously clearly implies the same.

The makers of RRR are planning to release the film in cinemas on 13th October, as announced initially. Hence, the fast track approach from Rajamouli and co.

Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Ali Bhatt are expected to join the sets of RRR in the forthcoming schedule and the entire shoot will be rounded up with the same.
