Now that Indian 2 has been put in the back burner, Kamal Hassan is moving onto his other commitments. He is planning on taking Papanasanam 2, the Tamil remake of Drishyam 2 onto the floors.
Gautami, who played the female lead in Papanasanam is no longer a part of the sequel and the makers are eyeing other alternatives now.
Apparently, the makers are planning on roping in senior actress Nadiya for the much-important lady lead role in Papanasanam 2. In all likelihood, she will be signing the dotted line very soon and come on-board for the project. This will be the first time she pairs with Kamal Hassan on screen.
Jeethu Joseph who directed the original versions Drishyam, Drishyam 2 and also the Telugu version, Drushyam 2 will be helming Papanasanam 2 as well.
The filming will commence soon and more details about the project will be out correspondingly.
