Is This Why KCR Has Raised Krishna Water Issue?
The AP and Telangana are once again on a warpath over Krishna waters. At a time when all disputes are being solved amicably, the Telangana government has suddenly become belligerent again. Leading the Telangana charge was chief minister KCR himself. He used strong words to criticise AP Government in general and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in particular.
Despite Telangana’s aggression, the AP Government responded in a restrained manner. Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar was not his usual aggressive shelf. In a rejoinder, he said that the AP government was abiding by all the rules and regulations, while constructing the projects. There were no errors whatsoever, he said. He also shunned direct attack of the Telangana government and said that dispute, if any, would be settled amicably in the Krishna water management board.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government has lodged a complaint with the Board accusing the AP government of constructing projects illegally. Interestingly, the complaint said that the T government had raised this issue in the past too. However, Telangana did not raise the issue for the last two years. Why is the Telangana government reacting so strongly while it had remained a mute spectator for two years.
Any project that is not in the Schedule 11 of the AP reorganisation act should be deemed a new project. By that argument, Palamuru, Rangareddy and Dindi projects are new projects. NO one is raising objections to these projects. But, KCR is periodically raising the issue of AP’s projects. Those in the know say that KCR is raising all these only to attack the BJP, which is growing in popularity in Telangana. He feels that Eatala’s joining the BJP is only a beginning and many more could follow him. To prevent exodus, KCR is conveniently raising the water-sharing issue. It is because of this reason that the YSRCP has reacted in a very lukewarm way. It knows the target of KCR’s attack is BJP not YSRCP.
Saikumar Gets Into The Mix &Heats Up MAA Elections Race!
There are still three months left for MAA elections but things are already getting heated up. Hero Manchu Vishnu and senior actor Prakash Raj are already locking horns with each other for the President position. They are readying their panels to head into the battle. On the other hand, Jeevitha Rajasekhar is also competing for the President post without a panel.
News is that actor Saikumar is now going to contest for the General Secretary post without a panel. The ‘Police Story’ actor is reportedly not happy with how things are going on in the association. He was being offered minor posts like executive member and others on several occasions in the past. They are in no way a match to his seniority.
Now, he is all set to compete for the General Secretary post as per reports. While Saikumar hasn’t announced it publicly, there is a lot going on in Tollywood right now which is drawing the attention of many people. Let us wait and see how things turn out in the coming few weeks.
Nandamuri Chaitanya Krishna Breathes Fire On Kodali Nani Over His Foul Language
Ruling YSRCP leader Kodali Nani, who holds the Ministry of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of Andhra Pradesh had targeted former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh yet again.
The Minister had termed Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh as Thuppu and Pappu and alleged that the duo is staying indoors and having Zoom calls.
However, his fierce attack against the Father-son duo did not go well with Nandamuri scion Chaitanya Krishna, a noted Businessman. He breathed fire on Kodali Nani for his language and questioned his merit to pass such comments.
Taking to social media, Nandamuri Chaitanya Krishna released a video and criticized Kodali Nani over his comments and said those who make such comments against Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh will not be spared.
He credited Nara Lokesh for providing employment for the youth during his tenure as IT Minister and said he has a big role in the 12 km long highway that was built during the previous govt.
Chaitanya said, no cases related to corruption were filed against Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh and advised the ruling party to focus on the ruling and administration rather than using foul language.
Hema to fight Prakash Raj, Vishnu and Jeevitha in MAA Elections
The elections for the Movie Artist Association (MAA) have been drawing a lot of attention. So far, Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu and Jeevitha announced that they will fight for the President’s role.
Now, surprisingly senior actress Hema has joined the fight as the fourth contestant. Hema said that for the past few years, she served as the Vice President and other roles in MAA. The popular actress says that she had done justice to the positions which she dealt with. This time she wanted to compete for the position of treasurer.
But after big stars like Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu and Jeevitha entered the fight, Hema wanted to walk out of these elections. However, the veteran actress says that many of the association members asked her to compete for the president’s post.
“When I was contesting for Vice President, all my friends, especially the lady supporters, all the celebrities backed and made me win by a majority. Now, they had phoned me and asked why you should not compete. They said I was always available even in the middle of the night to address any kind of issues. I want to contest for the presidency in MAA elections on behalf of all those who stood by me during the contest as an Independent,” Hema said.

Don’t withhold Rythu Bandhu amounts, Minister T Harish Rao tells bankers
HYDERABAD: Finance Minister T Harish Rao gave clear instructions to bankers to not withhold the Rythu Bandhu amounts from farmers in future.
The government has noticed instances of some banks not allowing farmers to withdraw their Rythu Bandhu amounts given to them by the State government and also adjusting the amounts against older dues.
In wake of this, the Finance Minister held an emergency meeting with bankers at BRKR Bhavan on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the bankers responded that no such instructions to withhold the Rythu Bandhu funds were issued. The Finance Minister issued clear instructions to the bankers not to withhold any of the Rythu Bandhu amounts in future.
Any amount which had been withheld/adjusted shall be credited back to the accounts of farmers, Harish Rao said. Strict instructions shall be issued to the bank branches by the bankers regarding the same. District Collectors were also instructed to monitor the same at the district level. A State level team would also monitor any issues faced by farmers.
Two toll free numbers – 18002001001 and 04033671300 – operational from 8 am to 8 pm, were set up to address any issues faced by farmers. In addition to this, the Minister also instructed the bankers to expedite the disbursement/renewal of crop loans. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Principal Finance Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and other officials were present at the meeting.
6,663 crore deposited until Tuesday
The State government, until Tuesday, has deposited `6,663.79 crore under Rythu Bandhu into the accounts of 59.71 lakh farmers. On Tuesday alone, `651.07 crore was deposited into the accounts of 2.10 lakh farmers. The scheme has been extended to cover 1.33 crore acres in this Kharif season so far
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao to reunite for their next
Shraddha Kapoor is apparently busy with multiple projects in the pipeline. After signing Luv Ranjan’s forthcoming film and now, ‘Chalbaaz’ in London, she will be featured in another rom-com, to be bankrolled by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment.
The two actors have been in talks since on time and now finally they have come together to associate together. A media source revealed that has been discussing a couple of films with Jackky and none of them come to fruition last year. But now, both have found the come interest in the script they were looking for. If things pan out well, filming for the same begins soon in this year.
It is not clear whether Jacky Bhagnani will be playing the lead role. But it is believed that Raj kummar Rao in the main character could reunite once gain with Shraddha, which could be directed by Mudassar Aziz. The latest buzz is that it’s a comedy has has a mark of Mudassar movies, but a message oriented movie.
Shraddha definitely gave a nod to Jackky movie and the chances of it becoming true is very much in the offing. However, with her previous films still in the nascent stage of filming, this project could be delayed. On the other hand Jackky is busy promoting Akshay Kumar’s Bell bottom.
RRR writer wants Kangana Ranaut to play Sita!
Veteran writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, who penned biggies like Baahubali and RRR, is writing yet another ambitious project in Hindi. He is penning the script for Sita, which is to be directed by Alaukik Desai.
Now, the latest buzz is that Vijayendra Prasad has suggested the name of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for the Sita role. As per reports, he believes that the Queen actress can do justice to the role. It is worthy to mention that the ace writer was the one who recommended Kangana’s name for Thalaivi.
Earlier, it was heard that Kareena Kapoor was approached for this role and she demanded a huge pay. However, after the news went viral, the actress cleared the air about this.
Told from Sita’s perspective, the film will be mounted on a huge scale and the magnitude of the film will be as big as a Baahubali.
