CM Jagan to meet Amit Shah tomorrow!!
AP CM Jagan will leave for Delhi on Thursday. It is reported that Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s appointment for Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been finalized. It seems that he is making efforts to get an appointment of the Union Home Minister as well as some other Union Ministers. YCP MPs staying in Delhi are making efforts for appointments of defence and finance ministers. It is being speculated that Jagan’s visit is in the wake of the Raghurama Krishnamaraju case, and Jagan’s bail revocation petition. Hence, the visit of the CM to Hastinapur has prevailed in importance.
Raghurama Krishnamaraju has already written letters to several MPs, chief ministers and governors alleging that he has been subjected to the third degree in AP CID custody.
Truth behind Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif dating rumours
For a long time, there have been rumours that actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are dating for a couple of years. However, the two stars have maintained silence about the relationship so far. But now, actor Harshvardhan Kapoor has confirmed their relationship.
In an interview with a popular news daily, Kapoor was asked whether the relationship is real, to which he said, “Vicky and Katrina are together, that’s true. Am I going to get in trouble for saying this? I don’t know. I think they’re quite open about it.”
Notably, in April 2021, both the actors had tested positive for Covid-19 on the same day. Back in 2019, Vicky and Katrina trended big time after they were found together at a dinner date in Mumbai.

Iran presidential candidate says he’s willing to potentially meet Joe Biden if he wins election
TEHRAN: An Iranian presidential candidate said on Wednesday he’d be willing to meet with US President Joe Biden if he wins his country’s election next week, though “America needs to send better and stronger signals” to the Islamic Republic.
Speaking to The Associated Press, former Iranian Central Bank chief Abdolnasser Hemmati stressed that an American return to Iran’s tattered nuclear deal was key to any possible relationship amid the wider tensions in the Mideast.
“I think we haven’t seen anything serious from Mr. Biden’s side yet,” Hemmati said.
“They first need to go back to the (nuclear deal) that they withdrew from. If we see the process and more confidence is built, then we can talk about that.”

Hemmati, 64, is one of the seven candidates approved by Iranian authorities to run from the presidency in the Islamic Republic’s June 18 election.
Polling and analysts suggest he lags in the race behind hard-line judiciary chief and front-runner Ebrahim Raisi, believed to be a favourite of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
While Khamenei has final say on all matters of state, whoever serves as president can affect domestic issues and set the tone for Iran’s broader approach with the world.
Outgoing President Hassan Rouhani, a relatively moderate cleric within Iran’s theocracy, helped his nation reach its landmark 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.
However, Rouhani has struggled with the fallout of then-President Donald Trump’s decision to unilaterally withdraw America from the accord in 2018.
That’s seen crushing sanctions target Iran and Tehran later abandon all the limits on its nuclear program.
It now enriches small amounts of uranium to 60% purity, a record high though still short of weapons-grade levels of 90%.
Talking to AP journalists at his Tehran office, Hemmati repeatedly said that the signal Iranians hoped to see from the U.S. was their return to the nuclear deal.
“The Americans have sent positive signals but those signals have been strong enough,” he said.
“If there are stronger signals, it will affect how optimistic or pessimistic we are.”
Cicadas insects delay White House’s press aircraft ahead of Biden’s first overseas trip to UK
WASHINGTON: Reporters travelling to the United Kingdom for President Joe Biden’s first overseas trip were delayed seven hours after their chartered plane was overrun by cicadas.
The Washington, DC, area is among the many parts of the country that have been swarmed by Brood X cicadas, a large emergence of the loud 17-year insects that take to dive-bombing onto moving vehicles and unsuspecting passersby.
Even Biden wasn’t spared.
The president brushed a cicada from the back of his neck as he chatted with his Air Force greeter after arriving at Joint Base Andrews for Wednesday’s flight. “Watch out for the cicadas. I just got one. It just got me,” Biden then told reporters.
It was unclear how cicadas disrupted the mechanics of the press plane. Weather and crew rest issues also contributed to the flight delay late Tuesday. Ultimately, the plane was swapped for another one, and the flight took off shortly after 4 am on Wednesday.
The press plane is arranged with the assistance of the White House and carries journalists at their expense. There was not expected to be any impact on news coverage of Biden’s visit.

Industries Minister says investments in AP the best
According to the statements made by Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Gautam Reddy, the investments that were made in AP in the last two years are much higher than the investments that were made in other states like Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. He said that AP received investments of Rs 34,696 Crores in 2019, Rs 9,840 Crores in 2020 and Rs 1,039 Crores so far, in 2021.
Reddy said that it’s a huge deal that AP received nearly Rs. 40,000 Crores investments in the last two years, something that Telangana and Karnataka could also not achieve. A company like Kia invested Rs. 10,000 Crores for the development of its industries, just for the first phase. With the minister stating that there has been an investment of Rs. 40,000 Crores, 3 other companies, apart from Kia, should have invested in AP. If that is not the case, then there should have been investments at least in the MSME sector. Whatever the source of these investments is when there was as much as Rs. 40,000 Crores worth of investment, the AP government should have been very proud of it and should have made a grand announcement of the same, but it miserably failed in that department.
Also, if there were such large scale investments, then a number of job opportunities should have been created in the state as a result, but that’s not the case either. If the YSRCP government makes a public announcement of the various investments that took place in AP, then there wouldn’t be any opposition from other parties, and ther wouldn’t be any doubts either. Previously, there were announcements of the establishment of an Intelligence, some industries in Pulivendula and a bus manufacturing company in Anantapur. After the announcements, no one knows what happened to these companies.
It also came to light that a number of small scale industries had to shut down due to the lockdown and economic recession in the last two years, but the AP government has an entirely different story. Several experts feel that it’s the right thing to be as transparent as possible, with the people of the state during a period like this.
Tamannaah: Can’t hug anyone on sets from now on
For those who don’t already know, senior actress Tamannaah had contracted Covid a few months ago. She later recovered from the virus and is back to full fitness now. She is raring to get back to sets.
In her latest interaction, Tamannaah said it is high time that cine fraternity gets used to the new normal.
“Previously, I used to wish and greet everyone on the sets. We used to hug each other as a token of friendliness. But that won’t be the case henceforth. It wouldn’t be sane to hug anyone on sets, given the fear Covid has instilled in each and every one of us,” she said.
The milky white actress says actors and crew members will now be able to remove their face masks only while shooting for a scene.
Tamannaah will next be seen in Gurthunda Seethakalam and Seetimarr. She is also playing an important role in Nithiin’s Maestro which is close to completion.

MP Raghurama met Union Minister Gajendrasingh Shekhawat
Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju met Union Water Energy Minister Gajendrasingh Shekhawat. He complained to the Union mInister that irregularities were taking place in the name of the Polavaram project. In the complaint, Raghurama said that the expatriates were making money with fake accounts rather than beneficiaries. He alleged that additional funds were being allocated in the name of reverse tendering. He appealed to the Union Minister to immediately look into the issue and take immediate action.
Also, Raghurama told Gajendrasingh Shekawat about his sudden illegal arrest by AP CID officials on the 14th of last month. It is learned that Raghurama has handed over two different letters to the Minister.
Talented director to play a cameo in Pawan Kalyan’s film
Talented director VV Vinayak has turned actor with Seenayya, directed by N Narasimha Rao. But the film was not released after the makers were not convinced with the output.
Now, the latest news is that Vinayak is yet again coming in front of the camera with Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s upcoming Telugu remake of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
As per the update, Vinayak will be seen in a cameo, the role which was played by late director Sachi in the original version of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. It seems that there will be a combination scene between Rana and Vinayak.
While Sagar Chandra is helming the film, Trivikram Srinivas has been roped in to pen the dialogues and screenplay. The film is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.

Eatala hits campaign trail, says KCR will bite the dust
WARANGAL: In a major show of strength after parting ways with the TRS, former Health Minister Eatala Rajender held a rally in the villages of Kamalapur, Shambhunipally and Kaniparthy villages of his Huzurabad constituency. Flanked by hundreds of his supporters, Rajender attacked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao saying the latter was casting aside leaders who sincerely worked for the welfare of Telangana.
Stating he would soon submit his resignation as a TRS MLA, Rajender likened the ensuing byelection in Huzurabad to the Kurukshetra war, which would be one between “righteousness and lawlessness”. Rajender said voters were more than ready to teach KCR a lesson in the bypoll.
A heavy police force was deployed in Kamalapur mandal to prevent any untoward incidents. Speaking to mediapersons, Rajender alleged that the TRS leaders functioning out of Pragathi Bhavan were simply reading out pages from a script which was issued by the party chief. Allegations made by “traitors” would not hurt him one bit, Rajender asserted. The former minister said that he had worked selflessly for two decades, not just for Huzurabad but the whole of Telangana and people were a witness to this. It wouldn’t be long before they delivered a blow to the TRS, which was no longer reflecting what the people wanted, felt Rajender.
“The people of Huzurabad will not believe these false allegations against me. They are ready to teach a lesson to Chief Minister KCR in the byelection,” thundered Rajender. The flag of self-respect (aatma gouravam) of Telangana’s citizens would be hoisted in Huzurabad, said the leader. “Conspiracy theories” being floated by the ruling party would not fetch them any votes in Huzurabad, Rajender told the media. He stated that he would fight for rights and jobs for the unemployed in the State.
