Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s nationwide popularity soared after the sensational success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Despite his previous film Game Changer failing at the box office, his upcoming rural sports drama Peddi is generating massive buzz, especially in North India. The film is set for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
Although Paradise and Peddi were initially planned for March 26 and March 27 releases, recent reports suggest that Paradise might be postponed due to incomplete shooting schedules. However, there is no official confirmation yet, and the team has remained tight-lipped on the matter.
As for Peddi, the Hindi version may face tough competition at the box office—not directly on the same day, but from major Bollywood films arriving just a week earlier. Big-ticket titles like Yash’s Toxic (Hindi dubbed), Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4, and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 are all eyeing the 2026 Eid weekend, targeting a March 19 release.
Among these, Yash’s Toxic carries massive hype, thanks to the historic success of KGF 2 in the North. The Dhamaal franchise also enjoys strong brand value, and the sequel to Dhurandhar has added more heat to the competition. If any of these films score big at the box office, it could impact Peddi’s opening week collections in the Hindi belt.
The tremendous response to Peddi’s first single “Chikiri Chikiri”, which became a nationwide chartbuster, has pushed expectations sky-high. The buzz in Hindi markets is notably positive, making Peddi one of the most awaited films of 2026 across both South and North India.

Akhanda 2: No Progress, No Clarity on Release
Despite solid buzz on social media—and a few influencers prematurely declaring that all problems have been solved—there is still no real progress on the release of Akhanda 2.
Senior producer D. Suresh Babu, though not officially part of the project, has expressed confidence that he could help negotiate a settlement between the Akhanda 2 makers and Eros International. But as of now, nothing has changed on the ground.
Eros International has already filed a case in the Madras High Court seeking to stop the film’s release until the makers clear pending dues of ₹28 crore. While Suresh Babu is attempting to mediate, no compromise proposal or official communication was submitted to the court on Friday.
Adding to the complications, industry sources reveal that the producers still owe large sums to multiple local financiers. Talks with these lenders are underway, and some clarity is expected only by Saturday morning.
Even in the best-case scenario—if all financial disputes are resolved overnight—releasing the film on Saturday remains extremely difficult. U.S. distributors cannot secure theaters at such short notice, and releasing the movie in India without U.S. premieres would lead to significant revenue loss.
Sharwa’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari Targets Sankranthi Release
Charming Star Sharwanand’s film Biker was initially planned for a December release, but the team postponed it due to pending post-production work.
Meanwhile, the makers of his other project, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, have officially announced its arrival for Sankranthi 2026. Despite the festival already being crowded with big releases, the team is confident that their film—loaded with strong family emotions—will stand out during the festive season.
Sharwa also enjoys a solid track record during Sankranthi. His previous festival releases, Shatamanam Bhavati and Express Raja, turned out to be sensational blockbusters. With this new film, he is aiming for a Sankranthi hat-trick.
Directed by Ram Abbaraju, who impressed audiences with his blockbuster debut Samajavaragamana, the movie is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner in collaboration with Adventures International Pvt. Ltd. The film stars Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya as the female leads and is already generating good buzz through its promotional material.
Vishal Chandra Shekar handles the music, cinematography is jointly managed by Gnana Shekhar VS and Yuvraaj, while the story comes from Bhanu Bogavarapu with dialogues by Nandu Savirigana. With the release window locked, the team is preparing for a fresh round of promotions to keep the excitement going.
