Chevireddy does what Chiranjeevi did in Shankar Dada MBBS
Remember the iconic scene in Chiru-starrer Shankar Dada MBBS where Shankar Dada, played by Megastar Chiru, plays caroms with a severely unwell patient and instilling confidence in them? Imagine someone playing caroms with Corona positive patients at an isolation centre? Impossible, one would say. But, Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has done just that.
Unlike the leaders who are not venturing out of the safe confines of their homes and are giving advises only through home-made video messages, Chevireddy not just went to a Covid Isolation Centre in Chandragiri, but also played caroms with them to instil confidence in them. He is also providing them with Corona kits and is arranging beds for them in isolation centres. Unlike the photo-ops that other politicos resort to, Chevireddy interacted with them for several hours. Sat there among them and played a game of carom with them..
Chevireddy also told the patients that there is nothing to worry about Corona and they should take necessary precautions to save themselves from infections. At the same time, there should be no stigmatisation of Covid patients, he said. This act of courage is now the talk of the town. Will CM YS Jagan too do the same thing and instil confidence among the general public?
‘Bujjulu Bujjulu’ song from Pellisanda D is underwhelming!
The 90s blockbuster classic movie `Pelli Sandadi` directed by K Raghavendra Rao is once again being repeated with the title ‘Pelli Sanda D with slightly different story.
Under the supervision of ace director Raghavendra Rao, Gauri Ronanki is directing the film. The successor and son of Srikanth, Roshan is featuring as the protagonist of the film opposite Sreeleela. All the fans seemed to be keyed up for this movie release.
Initially the film promotional campaign with attractive posters has gained enough traction. Now the song `Bujjulu Bujjulu` lyrical video from this movie was released this morning. Although it appears as if Raghavendra Rao’s mark is somewhat evident, the song Bujjulu composed by M.M Keeravani turns out to be underwhelming and even lacks his trademark. Wherein, the lyrics penned by Chandrabose sounds okay.
It begins with a saakhi (prelude) in a casual unpitched singing by Baba Sehgal before he arrives to the main verse of the song with a catchy phrase “Bujjulu Bujjulu Bujjulu Koni pedtha Bangaru gajjalu” and later repeated by singer Mangli only to end up with few cliched verses in a boring way.
The song programming and orchestration was seemingly of low quality. It is raising a doubt whether the music was even composed and directed by MM Keeravani or his name is just used under the guise of movie’s promotional purpose while actually the music is ghost produced by someone else in the first place?.
‘Strict’ lockdown in Telangana hits relief work
HYDERABAD: V Ramdas, who was returning from to the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society in Rajendranagar where his 5-year-old son Naveen had undergone a transfusion, on Saturday, was stopped by the police. His bike was confiscated and its keys were broken.
A video of the same has gone viral on social media. After that, they were slapped with a challan by the Langar Houz Police. Despite showing them ID cards of being thalessemia patients, they were fined under the Disaster Management Act. They ended up becoming one of the many unwitting victims of strict policing during lockdown.
In another similar instance, Syed Houz, who came with his daughter Ameena Begum and donor to the society, said, “I was on my way to the society for my daughter to undergo a blood transfusion. The police stopped us at Hassan Nagar, and despite showing them the thalessemia ID card, they fined me.” Ironically, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar had himself donated blood to thalessemia patients on Friday, and through a tweet, had urged people to come forward and donate blood.
“We are procuring passes daily for donors or sending our vehicle to bring them to our centre. Today, 30 donors were scheduled to donate blood, but only two could turn up. We urge the government to not delay the relief for these young children with thalassemia by troubling the donors,” said Aleem Baig of Thalassemia Society which caters to 3,000 patients.
The decision of the Telangana police, to strictly crack down on commuters post 10 am, hit Covid-19 relief work in many ways. Several volunteers who have been transporting essentials like home-cooked free food for Covid-19 patients, medicines and other essential equipment, were stopped and slapped with hefty challans under the Disaster Management Act.
Startup CEO booked while carrying O2
Twenty-eight-year-old CEO of startup Rondeyvoo Eurasia, Bharath Veer, was one amongst the many who was booked under the DM Act and asked to pay a challan of `1,000 for carrying an oxygen concentrator among other Covid essentials.
“I run a start-up on Covid-19 essentials and also deal with the e-commerce industry. Since the last 10 days, I have been travelling from my office in Bowenpally and back by taking an e-pass. We get nearly 300-400 Covid-19 orders every day. On Saturday, at 3.30 pm I was stopped at Musheerabad while carrying a 5 litre oxygen concentrator, nearly 200 face masks, 24 cans of oxygen of 6 litre each and various other essentials which were to be given to various customers in my area. However, the police stopped me and penalised me for my relief work,” rued Bharath.
While the police held him up for over 45 minutes, the patient who had placed the urgent order for the concentrator had to look for other sources. “I was forced to travel without an e-pass today (Saturday) because despite applying for it twice, I could not get the clearance. Once, it showed that the pass was pending and the second time I applied, Saturday morning — it said no pass will be issued. Had the police shown this level of strictness when the peak was actually high, we would not be in this situation,” he says.
After outrage, KTR promises respite
Following uproar by the public over the rude behaviour of the police across the State, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday said he would discuss it with the DGP. In a Tweet, KTR said, “Received several complaints on police stopping the food delivery services & others in distress. Will discuss with @TelanganaDGP and resolve asap”.

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to Warangal hospital an eyewash: BJP
HYDERABAD: The BJP has expressed doubts over Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to MGM Hospital in Warangal. The party alleged that the CM wanted commissions in the construction of a new jail and hospital in Warangal, which was why he visited the district.
Addressing a Zoom press conference on Saturday, former MP Dr G Vijayarama Rao said that the CM should have addressed the grievances of patients during his visit. He alleged that around 40 people were dying everyday in the hospital. He also alleged that not even 20 ventilators out of the 100 sanctioned by the Centre were functioning as there were no technicians.
BJP general secretary G Premender Reddy alleged that the CM’s visit was in the backdrop of the changing political scenario in Huzuarabad. “Anticipating a bypoll in Huzurabad, KCR visited Captain Lakshmikantha Rao to discuss politics and made it look like a visit to MGM Hospital,” said Premender.

AP Ayush Commissioner Ramulu says Anandaiah’s medicine is traditional medicine not Ayurvedic medicin
After the miracle medicine made by Ayurveda doctor in Nellore’s Krishnapatnam Anandayya attracted huge public attention following which thousands of people rushed to get the medicine, the Andhra Pradesh government stepped in.
The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sent the medicine for testing at labs so that the efficiency of the medicine can be understood.
Talking about the miracle medicine, Andhra Pradesh Ayush Commissioner V Ramulu said, there is no harm in taking the concoction as the ingredients used to prepare the medicine are used mainly to treat various infections. The commissioner said the samples of the medicines were tested at the lab and he had interacted with people, who received the medicine. Anandaiah has been practicing over the past 30 years, he said.
Media reports claimed that the Commissioner opined that the practitioner didn’t follow the procedures used to make Ayurvedic medicines. So the medicine should be considered as a traditional medicine, but not Ayurvedic medicine.
The Ayush Commissioner went on to say that the medicine was sent for testing to the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science(CCRAS) and the reports from the body are awaited.
The team of Ayurvedic experts in Tirupati and Vijayawada will also test the medicine and the report will be sent to the state government. Once the reports are sent to the government, the government will take a call on the medicine.

గడచిన రెండేళ్ళలో రాష్ట్రాన్ని కొత్తగా వైసీపీ ఉద్ధరించిందేంటట.? ఏమీ లేదుగానీ.. ప్రత్యర్థుల మీద కక్ష సాధింపు చర్యలు మాత్రం కనీ వినీ ఎరుగని రీతిలో వుంటున్నాయి. దాదాపుగా ప్రతి కేసులోనూ కోర్టు మొట్టికాయలే.. కోర్టు ధిక్కరణ వ్యవహారాలు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు వెలుగు చూస్తూనే వున్నాయి. చివరికి దొంగ ఓటర్లను తీసుకొచ్చి ప్రజాస్వామ్యానికి అసహాస్యం చేసే స్థాయికి దిగజారిపోయింది రాష్ట్ర రాజకీయం. విలువల పతనంలో మాత్రం అత్యద్భుతమైన ప్రగతి సాధించేసింది వైసీపీ.. గత రెండేళ్ళలో. ఇంతకంటే రాజకీయాల్లో పతనం.. అనేది ఇంకేమీ వుండబోదేమో.
TRS now sends Harish to counter Eatala threat
HYDERABAD: Finance Minister T Harish Rao, also seen as a troubleshooter for the TRS, has been deputed to Huzurabad to checkmate former Health Minister Eatala Rajender’s moves. The party is wary of many of Rajender’s loyalists from Huzurabad leaving the party to join Rajender. On Saturday, Rao held a meeting with TRS leaders from Huzurabad. Most TRS cadres and leaders assured the Minister that they would continue to support TRS and not extend support to Rajender.
Apart from the efforts being made by Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar for the last one week to retain the cadre in Huzurabad, the TRS also deputed Harish Rao to fully isolate Rajender in the segment. On Saturday, Rao held the meeting with party leaders amid talk that the TRS leadership may approach the State Legislative Assembly Speaker to disqualify Rajender as an MLA for the latter’s anti-party activities. In such a scenario, a bypoll would be necessitated for the Huzurabad Assembly segment. In that case, the TRS leadership is determined to defeat Rajender.
Though the former Minister has said that he would resign as an MLA after the Covid-19 pandemic subsides, it remains to be seen whether Rajender would resign first or the TRS leadership would take a step to disqualify him.
During Saturday’s meeting, Harish Rao told the party rank and file that in case a bypoll was held for Huzurabad Assembly segment, then the TRS should win with a huge majority. “Let us support the leadership of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS party for continuing the developmental activities in the segment,” Harish Rao exhorted the party cadre.
It may be recalled here that Rajender was sacked from the Cabinet following allegations of grabbing of assigned lands for the poultry farm. Rajender, sensing that Harish Rao would come to the segment, rushed to Huzurabad two days ago. Rajender has also been meeting TRS workers and his followers in the segment.
