Financial Year 2020-21: Bangladesh’s Per capita Income is Higher than that of India!
The impact deadly Covid has on India is not over yet. The nationwide lockdown triggered by the novel Coronavirus last year has hit the country’s economy so hard that the Per Capita Income of India has slipped.
As per the official data, India’s Per Capita Income for the financial year 2020-21 is less than our neighboring country Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s Per Capita Income for the year stood at $2,227, while India’s Per Capita Income was $1,947.417.
The growth witnessed by Bangladesh in Per Capita Income was announced by MA Mannan, Planning Minister at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The cabinet meeting was helped virtually.
Sharing the statistics, the Minister said, compared to the previous year, Bangladesh reported an increase in Per Capita Income by 9 percent. The Per Capita Income stood at $2,227 and $2,064 in 2020-21 and 2019-20 respectively.
Coming to India, as usual, the Indian government has cited the lockdown as a reason behind the contradictions in the Per Capita Income of the country and said, the efforts are underway to tackle the situation.
For the unversed, Per Capita Income is the average income earned per person in the country. The average income is derived by dividing the national income by the population in the country.
SSMB28: Trivikram Srinivas in talks with a Bollywood diva
Superstar Mahesh Babu‘s upcoming film #SSMB28 with Trivikram Srinivas has created a great deal of buzz even before the shoot started. The film marks the third time collaboration between Mahesh and Trivikram after ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’.
For the past weeks, there have been several speculations regarding the female lead of this film. The latest update is that the makers are trying to include Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor in the film. #SSMB28 team has approached the actress, and the director had narrated the story to the diva.
As per a source, Pooja Hegde and Jhanvi Kapoor are the two names that are being shortlisted for the leading lady role in SSMB28. We may get a confirmation from the makers on whom they will pick between the two at an appropriate time.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is currently working on Parasuram directorial film ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’. The action-entertainer is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Plus and GMB Entertainment.
Boyapati Srinu to work with his hero after Akhanda!
Director Boyapati Srinu, who is known for Oora Mass films is currently working with Nandamuri hero Balakrishna for Akhanda.The film trailer has earned over 55 million views on YouTube.
Now it is said that, after completing Balakrishna’s film, Boyapati will join hands with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and the project is likely to be started next year. However, there is no official confirmation on this.
If the buzz appears true and the duo join hands for a project, it would mark the collaboration of Boyapati and Ravi Teja after Bhadra.
It has been widely reported that, Bopayati is working on the script to match the image of Ravi Teja. The director is said to be in plans to mix comedy and action in the script.

Corona comes under control by July 15 in Telangana
“Control of the second wave of corona includes mainly 3 phases. Firstly, decrease in positivity in corona tests. Secondly, admission of serious cases in hospitals. Thirdly, decrease in the death toll. Currently, Telangana is in the second phase,” says Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, eminent gastroenterologist and chairman of AIG Hospitals.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, there is a chance that everyone in the country will get the vaccine by the end of this year. Dr.Nageshwar Reddy opined that it takes around 4-8 weeks for the production of vaccination. He said that the situation in Telangana comes under control by July 15. He said that increasing the pace in vaccination drive is the only way to bring the situation under control in Telangana.
NTR30: Koratala Siva to rope Kollywood music director?
Jr NTR‘s highly anticipated film #NTR30 with Koratala Siva is grabbing everyone’s attention ever since it was announced. As the actor-director duo joined hands again after the 2016 film Janatha Garage, fans have pinned high hopes on this film, expecting it to be the biggest blockbuster in the actor’s career.
The latest buzz is that Koratala Siva is planning to bring Anirudh Ravichander on board for NTR30. Telugu audience is quite familiar with the Tamil composer’s music as he worked for Telugu films like ‘Agnyaathavaasi’, ‘Gang Leader and ‘Jersey’.
However, there is no official word on this update yet. On the other hand, Koratala has been working with veteran music director Mani Sharma for ‘Acharya’. Let us wait and see whether or not the makers’ rope Anirudh.
NTR 30 is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under the banner of Yuvasudha Arts in collaboration with NTR Arts. The details of the rest of the cast and crew have not yet announced.
Veteran music composer Raam Laxman passes away
Veteran music composer Raam Laxman, who is appreciated for his work in films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Maine Pyaar Kiya, passed away at his residence in Nagpur on Saturday. He breathed his last after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 78.
As per his son, the veteran composer died at 2:00 am on Saturday. He got the second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine a few days ago, following which he was feeling very weak and fatigued, and a doctor was treating him for that.Raam Laxman was a popular music composer, who worked in Marathi, Hindi and Bhojpuri films. In his four-decade-long career in the music industry, Laxman has composed music for over 150 films.
He is popular for the songs of movies like Taraana, Patthar Ke Phool, Anmol and Hum Saath Saath Hain. His composition’s also won him a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
Tollywood singer Jai Srinivas dies due to Covid-19
Tollywood playback singer Jai Srinivas died due to Covid-19 on Friday. Reports from credible sources say Srinivas breathe his last in a private hospital in Secunderabad after his blood oxygen levels depreciated.
Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao shared his deep condolences and reminisced Srinivas’ contribution as a singer. Born as Neredukomma Srinivas in Mandamarri of the Adilabad district, Srinivas had strong penchant towards music and cinema from a young age. He became a popular singer in the industry after his song ‘Desam Manade’ from Jai scored by Anup Rubens became the favourite among all.
He had rendered his voice for many devotional, patriotic and folk albums. In addition to it, Srinivas has got his credits as a playback singer in numerous songs in films such as Raja Rani and Vidhi among others. Srinivas is survived by his wife and two daughters.
