Trivikram Readying A ‘House’ Once Again For #SSMB28!
Right from the initial stages of his career, star writer-director Trivikram Srinivas is known for penning family entertainers. Most of his films happen in a big house. As a writer, Trivikram’s films like ‘Nuvve Kavali’, ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’ and others revolve around big house sets. He did not leave this pattern even after becoming a director as all of his films like ‘Athadu’, ‘Nuvve Nuvve’, ‘Jalsa’, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, ‘S/o Satyamurthy’, ‘A Aa’ and his recent ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ are set in huge houses and it is where most of the story takes place.
The sets built for Trivikram’s films are later used by other filmmakers for their movies which explains the amount of money and time he spends on designing his house sets. The latest we hear is that Trivikram has once again penned a story that requires a huge house. Though it is expected to be a stylish action film, it will also have the typical Trivikram family drama. Sources say that all this drama happens in the heroine’s house and production designer AS Prakash is already working on the sets.
Let us wait and see what kind of house does Trivikram & team design this time.

TDP boycotting AP assembly session
The Andhra Pradesh government is all set to conduct its one and only assembly session for this season, on May 20th. There’s going to be only one session due to the second wave of coronavirus.
Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan has issued a notification convening the session of the Assembly and the Council for the day. The Assembly Secretariat also issued a notification reminding the members of the Assembly and Legislative Council to follow the Covid 19 guidelines while attending the session and to be present for the session. The AP government is expected to announce the state budget during this session.
On the other hand, the Telugu Desam Legislature Party (TDLP) held a virtual meeting on Tuesday and decided to boycott the assembly session on Thursday. This is because members of the TDLP feel that the YSRCP government has failed in its administration and because it is running vindictive politics.
The TDLP also said that it would conduct a mock assembly session, explaining the vindictive nature of the YSRCP government, and also the way in which it has failed to contain coronavirus.

Looks like Vaisshnav learned from his brother’s mistakes and making a lot of wise moves in these early stages of his career.
Reasonable for businesses to keep masks, says US Covid expert Fauci
WASHINTON: The nation’s top infectious disease expert is acknowledging “confusion” after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week said fully vaccinated people don’t need to wear masks in most instances, even indoors.
Dr. Anthony Fauci tells ABC News, “The problem and the issue is that we don’t have any way of knowing who is vaccinated and who’s not vaccinated.”
He says it is “reasonable and understandable” that some businesses and localities are maintaining mask requirements because they can’t be sure of an individual’s vaccination history.
But he says it’s important to note those measures protect the unvaccinated from each other, and vaccines provide a high level of protection for those who have gotten them.
Fauci says children who are not vaccinated – including children under 12 who won’t be eligible for vaccines for months – should continue to wear masks indoors.
But he says that recommendation could change as the CDC conducts more research and more Americans get shots.
Nurse who helped saved Boris Johnson’s life quits in protest
LONDON: A nurse credited with helping to save Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s life last year has quit the UK health service in protest at the government’s lack of “respect” for frontline staff.
New Zealand-born Jenny McGee was one of two intensive-care nurses who gave Johnson round-the-clock treatment a year ago in a central London hospital when he was struck down with Covid-19.
The prime minister said later that he only pulled through thanks to their care, but his government has since faced fury from nurses for offering a pay rise of just one percent — effectively a cut, after inflation.
“We’re not getting the respect and now pay that we deserve. I’m just sick of it. So I’ve handed in my resignation,” McGee says in a Channel 4 television documentary airing next Monday.
She refused to take part in a Downing Street photo opportunity last July, noting: “Lots of nurses felt that the government hadn’t led very effectively, the indecisiveness, so many mixed messages.
“It was just very upsetting.”
Keir Starmer, leader of the main opposition Labour party, said McGee’s resignation was a “devastating indictment of Boris Johnson’s approach to the people who put their lives on the line for him and our whole country”.
But a Downing Street spokesperson said “this government will do everything in our power to support” staff of the National Health Service (NHS), stressing they had been excluded from a pay freeze affecting other public sector workers.
In the documentary, McGee says it was “surreal” seeing the prime minister in her hospital.
“All around him there was lots and lots of sick patients, some of whom were dying,” she recalled.
“I remember seeing him and thinking he looked very, very unwell. He was a different colour really.
“They are very complicated patients to look after and we just didn’t know what was going to happen.”
A worse wave of the pandemic hit Britain in the winter months, and McGee said the situation on her wards leading up to Christmas “was just a cesspool of Covid”.
“At that point, I don’t know how to describe the horrendousness of what we were going through,” she said.
In a statement Tuesday, McGee said she plans to take up a new nursing job in the Caribbean, but hopes to return to the NHS in the future.

To quit or not to quit is the doubt haunting ex-Medical and Health Minister Eatala Rajender
HYDERABAD: Former Medical and Health Minister Eatala Rajender is preparing for Huzurabad Assembly bypoll, but only after Covid-19 pandemic subsided. Rajender declared that he would take a decision on resigning as an MLA after the Covid-19 declined. Rajender was unceremoniously ousted from the State Cabinet on May 3. Meanwhile, the ruling TRS is also buying time to take further action against the former minister. If insiders are to be believed, TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has played his cards very smartly after he got an indication that Rajender may float his own political outfit.
The TRS supremo, according to sources, came to know about Rajender’s plans to float his own party three months ago. Rajender, in fact, had been expecting his removal from the Cabinet as he knew that KCR had knowledge of his plans. But what Rajender did not expect was that Rao would go for his jugular even after sacking him from the Cabinet.
Rao crippled Rajender financially by exposing his assigned land deals and also dealt a big blow to the poultry business run by Rajender’s family members. These moves by Rao came without warning and by doing so, the TRS supremo succeeded in sending a message across the State that Rajender was not a ‘holy cow’, sources in TRS explained.
Eatala committed strategic blunders
Political analysts Rajender, according to analysts, committed strategic blunders after his removal from the Cabinet. Instead of going ahead with his plans of floating his own political party, Rajender met BJP and Congress leaders.
The leaders of the two parties wanted him to join their own outfits. If Rajender joins any other political parties, he would become only one of the leaders in such parties and may not be projected as a Chief Minister candidate. Even if Rajender floats his own political party, the chances of him becoming the Chief Minister seem bleak as parties founded by BC leaders in the past did not get the support they expected, even from backward classes. Analysts pointed out that BC leaders T Devender Goud (Nava Telangana Praja Party) and Kasani Gnaneshwar (Mana Party) too failed at the hustings.
Meanwhile, the ruling TRS succeeded in retaining all the elected representatives in Huzurabad. Due to the pandemic situation, Rajender could not make a big impact on State politics, as he could not meet many people or organise public meetings. But, some of his followers in Huzurabad declared that they would support whatever political decision taken by Rajender. Now, the options before Rajender are to resign from TRS and float his own party, or join any other political party. If Rajender aggressively carries on with his plans, the TRS may disqualify him as an MLA, citing his ‘anti-party’ activities.
Pact with D Srinivas in the making?
Meanwhile, political pundits see a quid pro quo in talks held recently between Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas and Rajender. According to sources, both the leaders have their own axes to grind. Srinivas, a powerful Munnuru Kapu leader appeared ready to trade his support to Rajender for whatever political agenda he has, in return for Mudirajus’ support for his MP son D Arvind in the next elections. While this is so, the TRS government appeared to have not slowed down its investigation into the allegations that Rajender had encroached assigned lands in Masaipet mandal. On Monday, Revenue officials resumed inquiry into possession of assigned lands by Jamuna Hatcheries, owned by Rajender’s family. Though the High Court asked the government to follow all prescribed norms, regardless of the delay it might take, the government appears keen on discrediting Rajender to the extent possible.
