What is common between Rajini and Ganguly?
There seem to be lot of similarities in the personal and career graph of Tamil Nadu’s super star Rajinikanth and West Bengal’s greatest cricketer Saurav Ganguli. Both are being actively wooed by the BJP. Both the leaders have time and again showed their soft corner for the BJP but have shied away from taking the plunge into active politics.
While Rajini had even announced the formation of a local party to fight the elections, Ganguli has been more circumspect. Yet, both have never hidden their admiration for the BJP. At the same time, both the leaders tried to avoid joining active politics. Interestingly, both the leaders were repeatedly hospitalized at a time when rumours of their joining BJP were flying thick and fast. More interestingly, they announced their decision not to join politics from the hospital. Both were hospitalized twice in a short span of time. Sources say that Rajini was worried about his image, while Ganguly is worried about protecting his family businesses. He feels that Mamta Didi would target him if he joined the BJP.
If sources are to be believed, the BJP wants to project Saurav Ganguly as the party’s chief ministerial candidate. Ganguly has an aura of his own and Bengalis love him very much. By projecting him, the BJP wants to endear itself to the Bengali voters, especially the young voters, in a big way.

Lok Sabha MP Mohan Delkar found dead in a Mumbai hotel
Mohan Delkar, an independent MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, was found dead at a hotel in Mumbai’s Marine Drive today. It is suspected that Delkar died by suicide and his body has been sent for postmortem.
The 58-year-old politician is a seven-time MP and a father of two. The police said a suicide note had been found in his hotel room. He had represented Dadra and Nagar Haveli in parliament since 2004.
“A suicide note has been found. The investigation is being done. The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem,” Mumbai Police said in a statement. Police officials were questioning the hotel staff about his stay at the hotel.
Delkar was Congress president of Dadra and Nagar Haveli when he resigned from the party in 2019 to contest the national election as an independent. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice and also a member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Fact check: Warina Hussain is not doing the second lead in Jr NTR’s film
For the past few weeks, there were speculations that Bollywood actress Warina Hussain is playing the second female lead in Jr NTR’s upcoming film with Trivikram Srinivas. The rumours were rife when the actress posted a couple of videos in which she is seen speaking Telugu, saying that she has a surprise and the other video features that she is entering NTR studios.
After witnessing these videos, the film circles assumed that she is roped in for the NTR-Trivikram project. The latest update is that Warina is not doing a film with NTR, but it is confirmed that she is doing an NTR production movie with Kalyan Ram.

Differences between Nani and TDP continue, but he won’t quit
TDP member and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas, more commonly known as Nani, has been in the news recently, for his conflicts with the other members of the TDP. The selection of the candidate for Vijayawada, in the upcoming Municipal elections, has especially turned out to be a major point of conflict and drama for the TDP, and for Chandrababu Naidu.
Kesineni is said to be dominating every other member of the TDP, regarding the selection of candidates for various wards. Kesineni has been trying to assert the candidature of a person who recently defected from the YSRCP to TDP in the 9th division of the corporation, instead of the party’s official candidate G Pujitha, who was selected by Naidu. Pujitha was suggested by and has the support of TDP legislative council member Buddha Venkanna.
This difference of opinion led to a huge war of words between Kesineni and Buddha, and their supporters. After Chandrababu Naidu preferred Buddha’s candidate over Kesineni’s candidate, Kesineni even deleted the images of Chandrababu and Lokesh from his Facebook pages, leading to huge speculations of Kesineni quitting TDP.
Naidu is said to have called Kesineni after this and tried to pacify him. He is said to have told Kesineni that this is not the right time for internal conflicts as winning the elections in Vijayawada is an important matter for the TDP. Kesineni has maintained a low profile after that, and sources close to him have said that Kesineni does not have any idea to quit TDP right now, and he might make a decision about his future when he thinks the time is right.
Whopping 8000 VFX shots in Prabhas’s Adipurush
Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles hit the floors last month and the regular shooting is going on at a specially assembled set in Mumbai.
Prabhas who plays Lord Rama in the mythological epic is sporting twirled moustache and this is leaving his followers and common audience alike excited.
Going into the story, Adipurush will apparently have a total of 8000 VFX shots. This is almost thrice the number of VFX shots in the epic Baahubali 2, which had around 2500 VFX shots.
Trained VFX artists and technicians from across the country are working on the project.
Adipurush will be a visual spectacle mounted on a magnanimous budget and special attention is being paid to the looks of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. VFX and CGI will be extensively used to enhance the final output.
Close to half of the film’s overall budget is being spent on VFX works alone and that sums it up.
Om Raut is directing Adipurush and T Series Entertainments are bankrolling it.

A road accident was reported in Cyberabad. A Dental student lost her life after she was hit by a speeding lorry. The incident was reported on Sunday. The cops registered a case against the victim’s friend for giving the vehicle to her, though she didn’t have a driving license.
Going into detail, M Adhi Reshma, a Dental student was hit by a speeding lorry during the wee hours of Sunday. After investigation, the cops have registered a case against Reshma’s friend for giving the vehicle though the girl did not have a driving license.
The victim M Adhi Reshma hails from Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district. She is pursuing her studies at Gulbarga’s HKESS Nijalingappa Dental College. The girl reached Hyderabad to meet her friend.
Adhi Reshma went to watch a movie at Madinaguda GSM Mall along with her friends. While they were returning from the mall, a speeding lorry ran over the girl resulting in her death. A case of negligent driving was registered against the driver.
The police registered a case against Ajay Kumar, the victim’s friend under 304 (ii) of the Indian Penal Code for giving her vehicle despite knowing the fact that she doesn’t have a license.
