KCR only CM who uses filthy language, says Mallu Bhatti
KHAMMAM: Blasting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for constantly using filthy language in his speeches, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that KCR is the only State chief in the country who uses such derogatory words against Opposition leaders.
On Sunday, Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Manthani MLA D Sridhar Babu, former MP V Hanumantha Rao and former Minister Sambani Chandrasekhar, visited Tallada mandal as part of his Rythu Bharosa Yatra and interacted with the farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, the CLP leader alleged that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR are implementing lopsided policies, which have crippled the farm sector.
Stating that both the leaders are working at the behest of corporates like Mukesh Ambani and Adani, Bhatti Vikramarka called upon the farmers to teach the pink and saffron parties a befitting lesson in the ensuing elections.

Gopichand’s Seetimaarr Teaser – Packed with Action
The teaser of Gopichand‘s upcoming film ‘Seetimaarr‘ with director Sampath Nandi was unveiled on Monday and it is now making noise on the internet.
The teaser features the Macho hero in a stylish avatar. Based on the Kabaddi backdrop, the director gave it a commercial touch with intense fights and mass dialogues, aiming at the pulse of the masses.
Gopichand and Tamannaah play Kabaddi coaches i.e., Karthi and Jwala Reddy respectively in this film. Gopichand rocked the show with a solid look with a big moustache and a slight beard. Mani Sharma’s background music is a highlight for the teaser.
Going by the teaser, we can understand that Gopichand and Sampath Nandi are aiming to score big at the box office. Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi, the film is slated for release on April 2nd.

‘వాపుని చూసి బలుపు అనుకున్నామేమో..’ అంటూ వైసీపీలోకి రావడంపై రాపాక పునరాలోచనలో పడ్డారన్నది ప్రస్తుతం నియోజకవర్గంలో వినిపిస్తున్న మాట. ‘దయచేసి రాపాకని జనసేనలోకి రానివ్వద్దు..’ అని జనసైనికులు, అధిష్టానానికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేస్తున్నారు. రాపాక, రాజోలులో రాజకీయంగా దెబ్బతినేశారు సరే.. జనసేనతోపాటు, వైసీపీ దెబ్బ కూడా ఆయనకి తగిలిందా.? స్థానికంగా రాపాక చూపిన అత్యుత్సాహమే.. రాపాకకీ, వైసీపీకీ షాక్ తగిలేలా చేసిందా.? అంటే ఔననే అనుకోవాలేమో.
Nagarjunasagar Assembly bypoll: TRS, BJP groping in dark
HYDERABAD: The BJP and TRS are groping in the dark, unable to decide whom they should nominate for the byelection to the Nagarjunasagar Assembly seat. The Congress, on the other hand, is way ahead of them as it has found a custom-made candidate in former minister K Jana Reddy, who is expected to sail through choppy waters without much difficulty.
The constituency, which has a majority of BCs, has remained Jana Reddy’s pocket borough even though he hails from a dominant caste. But in the last election, he lost to TRS’ Nomula Narasimhaiah, a BC, all because he took the election for granted and neglected his constituency. Having learnt a lesson, he has been visiting the constituency regularly and trying to win back the voters’ trust by meeting them.
After the untimely death of Nomula Narasimhaiah, the TRS was in a fix when it came to finding a replacement. After Narasimhaiah, who could switch to his charming self whenever he wanted, the TRS does not have any other leader as tall as him. But it plans to test its luck by fielding his son Bhagat, an advocate, and hopes that the BC voters remain on its side. The pink party is well aware that if it picks a leader of any other caste, the BCs might turn against it, a development that it abhors.
There is also speculation that the TRS may field local leader and MLC Tera Chinnapa Reddy. The basis for this is that he flew to KCR’s public meeting venue, along with the Chief Minister, held at Halia in Nalgonda district in mid-February after the latter laid the foundation stone for irrigation projects at Nellikal. Also, there is no knowing to what extent KCR laying the foundation stone for 13 lift irrigation projects in the district would help the party in the upcoming polls.
A party leader from Nalgonda district said there is “no clarity” on who would be the TRS candidate, though Bhagat’s name is on the cards. “We still have time. Most probably, the candidate would be declared after the notification for the byelection is issued,” he said. Meanwhile, the BJP is in an awkward situation as it has no leader worth his salt to contest from this constituency, even though the number of aspirants is quite high.
The saffron party, after its sensational victory in the Dubbaka byelection, is attracting many leaders, particularly from the Congress. But for Nagarjunasagar, it does not have many leaders of stature. The only name doing the rounds is K Nivedita Reddy, the wife of BJP district president Sridhar Reddy. In the last election, she secured only 2,780 votes and stood third. One wonders if she will be able to rise to the level of wresting the seat. If the BJP wants to field a leader other than her, the only name that comes to mind is K Anjaiah Yadav. But he too is not well known in the constituency.
Prabhas to kick-start Nag Ashwin directorial in July
Prabhas is shooting for his ongoing projects Adipurush and Salaar simultaneously and he will be super busy for the next 3-4 months. Once he is done with these two projects, he will be kick-starting Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller.
Incidentally, Nag Ashwin confirmed that his next with Prabhas will be commencing shoot this July.
“My next with Prabhas will start rolling from this July. Our project was supposed to hit the floors a while back but Prabhas turned busy with a couple of other projects. Our unit is ready to get to action as soon as he gives his nod. The pre-production works are going on currently and the project will be produced on a magnanimous scale,” Nag Ashwin commented.
It is known that Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are playing other important roles in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller.
The budding director says Prabhas will be allotting bulk dates for his project and the entire team is eager to kick-start the shoot.

Anantapuramu district in Andhra chosen for PM Kisan national award
AMRAVATI: The Anantapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh has been chosen for the Prime Minister Kisan national award as it completed 99.6 per cent physical verification of the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
District Collector Gandham Chandrudu would be presented the award at a function in New Delhi on February 24.
On the instructions of the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, five per cent of the beneficiaries were randomly chosen for physical verification to determine the eligibility and genuineness.
The district has a total of 5,76,972 beneficiaries of whom 28,269 were chosen for physical verification in all the 63 mandals.
Upon verification, 235 were found to be ineligible for the scheme, according to the physical verification report.
In 2018-19 when the income support scheme for farmers was launched by the Centre, 5,90,279 of them availed of it for an amount of Rs 118.06 crore.
In 2019-20, 5,40,896 farmers benefited to the tune of Rs 331.61 crore and in 2020-21, a sum of Rs 205.43 crore was distributed to 5,76,972 beneficiaries, the report said.
Britain’s Prince Charles visits father Prince Philip in London hospital
LONDON: Britain’s Prince Charles was driven to the London hospital where his father, Prince Philip, was admitted for ‘precautionary’ reasons earlier in the week and spent half an hour by his bedside.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has been at King Edward VII’s hospital since Tuesday and according to the BBC, the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II is likely to remain there into next week.
A somber-looking Charles, 72, was seen entering the hospital wearing a facemask on Saturday and his Clarence House officials later said that the Prince of Wales was then driven back to his Highgrove residence in Gloucestershire, south-west England.
The exact reason for Prince Philip’s admission has not been disclosed but his stay is not related to coronavirus.
He and the Queen had received their first dose of a vaccine to protect against Covid-19 last month.
Under England’s current coronavirus lockdown rules, visiting someone in a hospital is considered a “reasonable excuse” to leave home, although visits are being allowed on a case by case basis by most hospitals.
The Queen, 94, remains at Windsor Castle and performed her first face-to-face event of the year on Thursday when she knighted a royal aide during a private socially-distanced ceremony at her south-east England residence in Berkshire.
Earlier, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson had sent his best wishes to the royal, with a Downing Street spokesperson saying: ‘The Prime Minister sends his best wishes to the Duke of Edinburgh as he undergoes a few days of rest in hospital.’
The Queen and her husband have been spending the recent lockdown in England at Windsor Castle with a small household staff, nicknamed ‘HMS Bubble’.
The Duke, who turns 100 in June, was admitted to the same London hospital as a “precautionary measure” for treatment for a “pre-existing condition” in December 2019.
He spent four nights in hospital at the time.

Greek theater director Dimitris Lignadis given time to respond to rape charges
ATHENS: Prominent Greek actor-director Dimitris Lignadis appeared before a court in Athens on Sunday and was given until Wednesday to respond to charges of multiple rapes by an examining magistrate. He will remain jailed until then, court authorities said.
The magistrate and a prosecutor will jointly decide later whether he will be kept in jail or released pending his trial. According to court sources, Lignadis is accused of rape by two men who were minors when the events occurred in 2010 and 2015. He has denied any wrongdoing.
Lignadis (56) resigned on February 6 as the artistic director of Greece’s National Theater amid reports of his alleged behaviour. Charges of abusive behaviour, sexual harassment and rape against several well-known Greek actors, directors and officials have proliferated in the past month, creating a #MeToo moment in Greece.
The first to speak out was Olympic gold medalist Sofia Bekatorou, who accused an official at Greece’s sailing federation of raping her in 1998. Greece’s culture minister, Lina Mendoni, said Friday that she had asked a Supreme Court prosecutor to investigate charges of rape and harassment in the theater community.
The opposition has accused her of trying to shield Lignadis, who was appointed in 2019 by the current conservative government.
