Andhra Pradesh state panchayat raj and rural development minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has been attacking the State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, for quite some time, at least with respect to the upcoming local elections. Of course, the ruling party members have constantly been attacking Nimmagadda for some reason or the other, in the last one year, ever since he refused to conduct the local elections last year.
In a recent statement, Peddireddy has once again attacked Nimmagadda with his absurd words. In retaliation to Nimmagadda’s orders of wanting Peddireddy to be put under house arrest for threatening district officials, Peddireddy said that nobody cares about Nimmagadda’s orders and that he is a mad man.
Peddireddy said that Nimmagadda is acting on the behest of Chandrababu Naidu, and that everyone knows that he’s a mad man. Peddireddy also said that Nimmagadda is Chandrababu’s peon, and that is why even Nimmagadda is turning into a mad man, just like Chandrababu.
The YSRCP has been against conducting the local elections right now, but with the Supreme Court giving full freedom to the SEC, the government has been reluctantly cooperating with the SEC, all the while passing crude remarks at him.
