Nirmala Sitharaman’s ‘Never Before’ budget plan

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to introduce the 2021-22 budget on Monday amidst the challenges posed by the country’s economy, reduced income, increased spending, damaged businesses and lives, and the rising unemployment problem.

This time everything regarding the budget is digital. The Union finance minister is set to introduce the budget keeping in mind the current economic growth rate as it is below 10 years.

However, Nirmala Sitharaman has already hinted that this time the budget will be like never before.

This is the ninth budget during the Modi regime, including an interim budget. Allocations in the health, infrastructure, and defence sectors are expected to increase in this budget.

It is expected that maximum allocations will be made for employment generation, rural development, and other development trajectories as well.

Experts are also looking at how much revenue the government intends to generate with the privatization of companies like BPCL, SCI and Air India.

Promising Tamil directors in talks with Mahesh Babu

Superstar Mahesh Babu scored a solid box office blockbuster with Sarileru Neekevvaru last Sankranti and he is presently working on Sarkaru Vaari Paata which will be out during 2022 Sankranti.

Coming to the topic, Mahesh Babu is apparently in talks with two promising Tamil directors for his upcoming project.

Apparently, Sudha Kongara who was widely appreciated for her brilliant work in Soorarai Pottru (Aakasame Nee Haddhura) has approached Mahesh with a storyline.

Also, Vinoth who shot to fame with Karthi’s Khakee and followed it up with Ajith’s Vaalmai is also interested in joining hands with Mahesh Babu. He is said to be one of the front-runners to direct SSMB28.

The interesting point is that both Sudha Kongara and Vinoth are planning to collaborate with Mahesh Babu for multilingual projects.

However, Mahesh is yet to take an affirmative decision on his upcoming project and he is expected to do so by the time he completes Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Notably, Mahesh Babu is also supposed to collaborate with master craftsman SS Rajamouli in the near future.

Ap Local Body Polls: Nomination Process For The First Phase Comes To An End

The nomination process for the first phase of the Panchayat Elections 2021 in Andhra Pradesh has ended today.

According to the media reports, the last day of filing nominations received a flood of nominations for the Panchayat Polls, though the first day of nominations received fewer nominations.

As per the election schedule issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner(SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, the election officers will Scrutiny the nominations tomorrow, February 1.

The last date for the withdrawal of election nominations for the Local Body Polls is February 4.

The first phase of Andhra Pradesh Local Body Elections will be held on the 9th of February. The elections will be held from 6: 30 AM to 3: 30 PM. Counting of votes and declaration of results will be started from 4 PM.

According to the revised election schedule, the second, third, and fourth phases of the Panchayat elections will be held on February 13,17, and 21 respectively.

Pawan Kalyan To Have Three Releases In Months Gap!

Power Star Pawan Kalyan who took a brief break from films is gearing up for the release of his next Vakeel Saab, the official remake of Bollywood hit Pink.Vakeel Saab, Pawan’s comeback film will hit the theatres on April 9th.

Pawan has okayed a bunch of films and is said to have made plans to release three films with months gap.

After Vakeel Saab, Power Star will have theatrical release with another remake. Pawan has joined hands with Bahubali star Rana Daggubati for Telugu remake of Mollywood Ayyappanum koshiyum.

According to the grapevine, Ayyappanum koshiyum remake is likely to be released in September on the eve of Vinayaka Chaturthi.

Pawan Kalyan- Krish untitled film is also said to have locked the Sankranthi season for release. The film is touted to be a periodical drama and will have two leading ladies.

Going by these reports, looks like Pawan Kalyan is making sure that he will have three films in the span of nine months.

Austria, Germany to take Portugal COVID patients

BERLIN: Austria and Germany say they will provide medical assistance to Portugal as the country struggles with a surge in coronavirus cases.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said Sunday that the Alpine nation will receive intensive care patients from Portugal, without specifying a number.

Kurz said in a tweet that “swift, unbureaucratic help” was required to save lives, adding that Austria has previously taken in patients from France, Italy and Montenegro.

Meanwhile, the German military plans to send medical aid and doctors to Portugal in the coming days.

Defense Ministry spokesman Christoph Czwielung said the military “will provide personnel and material support” though details on the extent and timing were still being finalized.

Portugal has one of the world’s worst coronavirus outbreaks relative to its population.

Queen Elizabeth II likely to host US President Joe Biden at Buckingham Palace: Report

LONDON: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II is expected to host US President Joe Biden at Buckingham Palace ahead of the G7 summit scheduled between June 11 and 13, according to a media report on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to participate in events in the lead up to and during the summit in the coastal region of Cornwall after India was invited as a guest country to join the Group of Seven – the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the US – by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

According to “The Sunday Times’, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is keen for the royal family to have a strong presence as part of a pre-summit and post-Brexit charm offensive of world leaders.

“There is a desire from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to have a very strong royal presence before G7 events, and all senior members of the royal family will be part of what happens,” the newspaper quoted a senior royal source as saying.

The 94-year-old Queen, who has been based at her Windsor Castle home in south-east England through the coronavirus lockdown since last year, will be hoping to return to her London palace and get a calendar of activities going at Buckingham Palace after a year of pared-down events.

A one-on-one meeting between the monarch and the new US President is set to be her first significant diplomatic engagement after she returns to London.

A so-called ‘soft power’ reception in June is expected to include her son and heir, Prince Charles, and wife Camilla – the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as grandson Prince William and wife Kate Middleton – the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge under plans being drawn up by royal and government officials to cement the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and US.

In another apparent breach of royal protocol, he had famously greeted the monarch with a ‘fist bump’ instead of a handshake.

The Queen has met every US president since the start of her reign in 1952, except Lyndon B Johnson, with Biden now expected to be the next in line for a royal interaction.

Talented Star Vijay Setupathi who is riding high on the success of Master is all set to mesmerize the Bollywood audience with his performance. He has joined forces with well-known cinematographer Santosh Sivan for his debut project in B-town.

It is said that Setupathi is entering Bollywood with the official remake of the Kollywood hit Maanagaram.

Now, according to the media reports, Mirzapur fame Vikrant Massey will play a crucial role in Mumbaikar and he has joined the sets. The much-awaited project is expected to hit the theaters in the second half of this year.

Vijay Setupathi, popularly known as “Makkal Selvan” was earlier roped in to play a crucial role in Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. However, Setupathi is said to have left the project, though the reason is unknown.

Makkal Selvan gained a name of a new wave in Kollywood, over the past decade, by starring in various and quite interesting films. In the past decade, Vijay re-invented himself as an actor.

In Chittoor district’s Yadamarri Mandalam’s Periyambadi, several YSRCP members attacked members of the TDP who were on their way to give their nomination for the upcoming local elections. TDP Chief Chandrababu and State Incharge Atchannaidu severely condemned the way the YSRCP members attacked MLC Dorababu’s vehicle in the process.

Chandrababu said that there will be no end to the misgivings and misdeeds of the YSRCP, as long as the people keep silent. He said that the only way to put an end to the YSRCP’s tyranny is by showing the party that they are not invincible, with the help of the upcoming elections.

Chandrababu demanded the government of Andhra Pradesh to take serious action against those who are responsible for the attack on TDP members. Chandrababu also said that the YSRCP members are attacking members of the TDP because they are scared that they will lose the upcoming elections.

Chandrababu said that the YSRCP is once again making false promises to the people of the state, by saying that they will develop the localities if they come into power. He questioned how this would be possible for people who have not been able to develop the state in the last 20 months.
