Anasuya’s ‘Thank You Brother’ Trailer: A peculiar thriller

Happening TV host and actress, Anasuya surprised many as she flaunted her baby bump in the first look poster of her upcoming film, Thank You Brother. The poster itself suggested that the film has a peculiar plot and the trailer that was released today proves the same.

Anasuya is seen as a typical pregnant lady who is close to labor. She gets stuck in an elevator with a young lad, played by the male lead Viraj Ashwin. Things go haywire after the elevator malfunctions and both Anasuya and Viraj are stuck in it. This is the core plot of the film, as shown in the trailer. The visuals shown in the middle are a bit confusing and incoherent though.

This surely is a unique and intriguing storyline and it shows a lot of promise.

Anasuya has been starring in author-backed roles of late she seems to have bagged another meaty role in Thank You Brother.

Ramesh Raparthi is directing the film and Magunta Sarath Chandra Reddy, and Tharaknath Bommi Reddy are producing it. Guna Balasubramanian is composing the music.

Exclusive: Rana’s ‘Viraata Parvam’ release date locked

Starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, Viraata Parvam is in final leg of production. The post-production works are underway already.

A short while ago, Suresh Productions, who are bankrolling the project stated that the release date of the film will be announced at 5:04 PM today.

Now, we are exclusively revealing Viraata Parvam‘s release date even before an official announcement from the makers.

Viraata Parvam will be hitting the big screens on March 11th. The same will be announced by the makers today evening.

Incidentally, the makers of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, Gopichand’s Seetimarr, and Varun Tej’s Ghani had also announced the release dates of these respective films today. It is Viraata Parvam’s turn to lock its release date later in the day.

Viraata Parvam is a historic action drama directed by Venu Udugula and it has Rana and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.

BJP-Janasena party leaders today complained to Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan about the ongoing confrontation between the ruling YSRCP government and SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar in the wake of the panchayat elections in AP.

BJP-Janasena leaders Somu Veerraju, Nadendla Manohar and others who went to Raj Bhavan briefed the governor on the latest developments. He was asked to take steps to hold free elections in the state.

Speaking after the meeting with the governor, BJP state president Somu Veerraju said the ruling party had committed anarchy in the local elections in the past and asked the governor not to repeat the same this time. Somu said he had asked the governor to direct the government to hold democratic elections.

Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar said he had briefed the governor on the political situation in the state. He said the YSRCP had a history of preventing nominations and asked the governor to see to it that such situations did not arise this time. Nadendla alleged that the ruling party leaders were forcing people for unanimous elections. He said the governor had also taken into consideration issues such as non-payment of compensation to farmers affected by the cyclone and attacks on temples.

It is well-known that director Teja is very particular about his heroines. His choice of heroines is nearly perfect and this is the reason why he selected Sai Pallavi for his upcoming film. He even rejected the likes of Keerthy Suresh and Kajal and got fixed on Sai Pallavi.

But insiders say that the price she is quoting is worrying the producers. The ‘Fidaa’ girl usually takes 80 lakhs per film but realising that she is the only option for Teja, she is reportedly demanding 1.15 crores. Due to her decision, producers and Teja are now looking at other options. But they can’t go to the already rejected heroines as they will demand even more rates.

Insiders say that Sai Pallavi has put the producers of Teja’s film in a tight spot. This project is titled ‘Alivelumanga Venkataramana’ which has Gopichand playing the male lead. Sai Pallavi reportedly liked the script but the main problem lies with her remuneration. Unless it gets sorted out, the project may not get announced officially. Let us wait and see what happens.

Ayodhya Mosque Trust lashes out at Owaisi for his comments on mosque project!

Days after the Ayodhya mosque project was formally launched on Republic Day, Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen(AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi made sensational comments on the project.

Addressing an event in Bidar, Owaisi termed the Ayodhya mosque project haraam and urged Muslims not to donate for the project construction or offers prayers there.

The Hyderabad MP went on to say that the mosque is un-Islamic and alleged that the religious scholars and All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) ulemas are in the same opinion.

Owaisi’s shocking comments on Ayodhya mosque did not go well with the Ayodhya Mosque Trust, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF). The body hit back at the MP’s comments.

IICF Secretary Athar Hussain lashed out at Owaisi and claimed that he is making such sensational comments with a political agenda. A land where prayers are offered to Allah cannot be haraam.

Media reports claimed that the secretary of the Ayodhya Mosque Trust took a dig at Owaisi and alleged that the ancestors of the MP didn’t take part in the 1857 revolt against the British.

A case has been registered against Koilamma Fame Sameer at Rayadurg police station. He attacked two women along with his friends when he was heavily drunk.

Along with them, a girl named Swati also appears to have attacked the women. The victims lodged a complaint with the police against Sameer.

The two women took Rs 5 lakh from Sameer in the past. He came to the house of two women living in Manikonda and asked them to pay back the money. The two women said they had received death threats from Sameer.

With this, Amar and Swati also filed a counter case against the two women. Srividya alleged in the complaint that Amar was accused of using obscene language.

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao takes detour, meets farmers in Gajwel

SIDDIPET: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced on Wednesday that the State government has decided to set up a massive cold storage in Gajwel Assembly constituency, which has already become a vegetable hub, for the convenience of farmers and help them store their produce.

On Wednesday, the TRS supremo paid a surprise visit to Vantimamidi market in Mulugu mandal, Gajwel, while he was returning to Hyderabad from his farmhouse at Erravelli in Markook mandal.During the visit, Rao interacted with farmers who were selling vegetable at the market to get to know their problems.

After the interaction, the Chief Minister held a meeting with District Collector P Venkatram Reddy, Forest Development Corporation Chairman V Pratap Reddy, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, representatives of farmers and several other officials at the market office. Speaking on the occasion, Rao directed the officials to identify a 50-acre land, near the Vantimamidi market, suitable for constructing a cold storage and a vegetable market for the convenience of vegetable farmers. KCR also instructed the authorities concerned to take adequate measures to expand the mango market yard by another 14 acres to cater to the future requirements.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that the agents do not charge the vegetable farmers with more than four per cent commission, under any circumstances.When he learnt that 16 shops are vacant in the Ontimamidi market, Rao suggested to place them under government-control so that the officials can buy vegetables from farmers that can be supplied to Gurukul schools and hostels in Siddipet and other parts of the State.

Exclusive: Veteran director opts out of Rajasekhar’s project

A few months ago, we had reported that senior director Rajasekhar will be joining hands with veteran director, Neelakanta for his next project.

Rajasekhar and Neelakanta were supposed to collaborate for the Telugu remake of Malayalam suspense thriller, Joseph.

We were told that Rajasekhar would be playing a retired police officer, facing criminal charges after the mysterious death of his wife. Neelakanta had almost finalized the script for the project.

However, the latest reports suggest that Neelakanta has opted out of the project, citing creative differences. Reportedly, there are some compatibility issues between him and Rajasekhar and the former walked out.

Now, the makers are in search of another seasoned director for the project and the final call in this regard will be taken sooner than later.

MLV Satyanarayana who previously bankrolled Rajdooth is producing the Rajasekhar starrer. Richa Panai has been roped in to play the female lead.

YCP senior leader Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has once again outraged over authorities. Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said that he would lodge a complaint with the Privilege Committee.

He became furious with authorities as they are not inviting ministers and MLAs from the district to the Republic Day celebrations.

He said that he has never seen situations like this in his forty-year political career. Anam Ramanarayana Reddy blamed the authorities for not at least following the protocol.

However, this is not the first time that Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has expressed dissatisfaction with the government. He said he has been unable to do anything for his constituency since last year. Speculations have started that he is dissatisfied with the YCP.

It’s well known that Mr. perfectionist Aamir Khan has been super busy with the shooting schedule of Advait Chandan’s directorial Laal Singh Chaddha.

The filming only resumed later in the year as the actor came back on sets to shoot in several parts of the nation. At present Aamir took a respite from the schedule to accept a special request from his good chum and actor Amin Hajee’s maiden film ‘Koi Jaane Na’.

It is learnt that he jetted off to Jaipur to shoot a peppy dance number for Amin’s project. The song features Elli AvRram in the song video. When Amin told him about his psychological thriller starring Amyra Dastur and Kunal Kapoor, Aamir was intrigued and consented to do a cameo in the film. Aamir and Amin Hajee have been good friends over 20 years. Amin also played the character ‘Laakha’ in Lagaan.

The Dangal actor will remain in Jaipur for the next five days for song purpose. A huge vibrant set has been erected for filming it. The song has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya while it is choreographed by duo Bosco and Caesar.

The superstar is already in discussions for some forthcoming ventures including Gulshan Kumar’s biopic tentatively titled Mogul. He is currently in talks with director RS Prasanna for a sports film. But an official contract would be signed by Aamir post Laal Singh Chaddha shoot.
