KT Rama Rao to present Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry awards
HYDERABAD: Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) Excellence awards will be presented by IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on January 23.
A poster was released on the same on Tuesday.
The awards are given under various categories including Industrial productivity, all round performance, agro-based industry, marketing initiatives, export performance, renewable energy, employee welfare, corporate social responsibility, product innovation, research and development, information technology, science and engineering, and women entrepreneurs.
Filming of Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘A girl on the Train’ resumes at Dereham
A Bollywood adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ 2015 bestseller, The Girl on The Train is underway for release on Netflix on February 26. Parineeti Chopra recently shared a new still from ‘The Girl on The Train’, in which she can be seen in an intense look.
Recent reports reveal crucial scenes after filming in London have been resumed at Norfolk railway station, Dereham in UK.
The Mid-Norfolk Railway (MNR) provided space for makers ‘Reliance Entertainment’ at Dereham station in August 2019. The film crew created props from the spot with the assistance of MNR volunteers.
MNR Volunteer James Garthwaite shared that they had to quickly convert the marquee at Dereham from a busy bar into a space fit for make-up, costume, props and a catering area. Volunteers were made to get the train in position for set dressing as well.
The station’s tea room was transformed into a production office where scenes were filmed for several days. MNR volunteers were on board to give expert guidance about the railway, and featured as extras in several shots.
Scenes were shot in a coach that was abandoned in the station and the makers utilised green-screen technology to make it look real in movement.
This Hindi thriller directed by Ribhu Das Gupta stars Parineeti Chopra, which was originally scheduled for cinematic release in Jan 2020, but was postponed to Feb 26th due to Covid impact.

Jagan asked Amit Shah to issue re-notification for setting up of High Court in Kurnool
Recently, the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in his residence in Delhi. They discussed various issues related to the state.
The talks lasted for about an hour and a half. CM Jagan once again asked to give special status to AP.
MPs Vijayasaireddy, Vemireddy Prabhakarreddy, Mithunreddy, and Avinashreddy were present along with CM Jagan Mohan Reddy during the meeting.
CM Jagan has appealed for decentralization of capital activities and re-notification for setting up of Kurnool High Court.
Jagan asked Amit Shah to give permission for the Rayalaseema Upliftment Scheme.
Meanwhile, attacks on temples and the destruction of idols have sparked political outrage in the AP.

Akhil’s next with Surender Reddy to start rolling from this date
Akhil Akkineni‘s ongoing project Most Eligible Bachelor is in final leg of production and the makers are planning to release the film this summer.
Akhil is presently undergoing physical training for his next project with Surender Reddy. He is building a muscular and chiseled look for his role in the film.
The latest update is that Akhil5 will be officially hitting the floors from February. The regular shooting will commence from the 1st of February, say reports.
The producers are planning to launch the film with a formal pooja ceremony in Hyderabad and commence the shooting soon after.
Akhil5 will be a big-budget project and will be shot in multiple locales across India and foreign countries as well.
Akhil will be seen as a secret service officer in the film. He will be joining the sets right from the first schedule.

RRR Actress Gets Hospitalised In Mumbai
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who took a break in December 2020, has resumed shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ earlier last week. But, a day ago, the star was admitted to hospital.
The Raazi actress while shooting in Mumbai was rushed to the hospital in the city due to exertion and exhaustion. Reportedly, on Sunday, she was admitted to the hospital and got discharged on the same day after recovering. As per reports, she was suffering from hyperacidity and nausea. However, on the very next day, the Gully Boy actress returned to sets of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
As per the reports, the film has been slated to release on Diwali this year. Helmed by SLB, the film also stars Vijay Raaz, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.
Apart from ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Alia Bhatt will also feature in ‘Brahmastra’ directed by Ayan Mukerji and ‘S S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’.

KTR invites Ponguleti to sort out differences
Has TRS working president KTR moved in to address the internal problems in the TRS in Khammam district? Has the party leadership gone into a high alert over reports of former MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy’s plans to leave the party? It appears so.
The Khammam TRS unit is in a very bad shape due to the internal differences and groupism. Recently, former MP Ponguleii raised a banner of revolt when he made some very caustic comments. These comments are being seen as a direct attack on three senior leaders – Puvvada Ajay, Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Nama Nageshwara Rao. There was also news that Ponguleti is in touch with the BJP leaders. His brother Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy is already in the BJP.
Alarmed by these development, KTR reportedly asked all important leaders from Khammam district to come to Hyderabad for a key meeting. The meeting is aimed at discussing differences among the leaders. Meanwhile, Ponguleti too has mellowed down a bit and said that there was no question of his joining the BJP. The meeting, it is expected, is likely to resolve the differences between the leaders.
