For 60 Days, Chiru Will Be In That Temple And Village

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi is back to the game as he started the shooting of his next project after Sye Raa. #Chiru52 is being directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Ram Charan on Konidela Productions along with another producer. Here is an interesting update about the movie.

Like we revealed it already, finally, the set design of a huge temple and a village got completed at the Kokapet land owned by Megastar Chiranjeevi. With this temple being the central part of the film, Megastar is said to have insisted on Koratala to avoid shooting at a real location for the same. Because a set would give them more opportunities when it comes to shooting times, dates and lighting work.

Ever since a village set got erected for Rangasthalam in Jubilee Hills, many senior stars are loving to go with these sets only. And for the next 60 days, Chiru will be shooting at this set without any breaks they say as a major part of the shooting including talkie, fights and couple of songs will be wrapped here.

Also, Chiranjeevi wants to film those scenes that have huge visual effects in the first place such that they will not affect the release date. If all goes well, this film will be in theatres by upcoming Dasara 2020 eve.

‘Get Ready For Revenge Politics’

Share

On the ‘Three Capitals’ or any other issues, the YSRCP government is not giving the oppositions any room to protest. By deploying police, the government is suppressing the voice of opposition especially of TDP’s. In the last eight months or so, many cases were filed against TDP MPs, MLAs and former ministers too.

Slamming the YCP government, TDP leaders said the ruling party is indulging in vendetta politics which is not good. Yet the ruling party is in no mood to show any sign of relief. The other day, Guntur TDP leaders met and in this meeting, former minister Prathipati Pulla Rao gave a strong warning to the YSRCP.

Addressing the gathering he said, “The government is harassing our leader Chandrababu and others. Next will be TDP government in AP and our first priority will be to take revenge against YSRCP. If you (YCP) guys file four cases against us, then we would lodge 10 cases against you people. There is no question of sparing you people without any thought.”

Prathipati added that TDP government will also not leave the cops and officials who are being biased towards the YSRCP government. “We will ensure that if YSRCP government comes into power for the second time, they should think twice before filing cases against TDP leaders. We will show what is TDP’s power,” said the ex-minsiter.

Regarding the same Prathipati said he would speak to TDP chief Chandrababu and assured Guntur party cadre not fear against the atrocities of the ruling party.

Will Marry If I Find Someone Like Samantha

There is a long list of happening heroes in Tollywood who are yet to marry. While the likes of Nithin and Nikhil are about to tie the knot, some heroes, including superstar Prabhas and his good friend Sharwanand are yet to find the right girl. What has Sharwa to say about this?

Currently promoting his upcoming film Jaanu, Sharwa has surely expected that he will be flooded with questions related to marriage. And he got his answer ready. “I want someone like a Samantha,” says Sharwa, but the not the real Samantha he clarifies. “After watching Majili movie, I felt like marrying someone like the Sravani character played by Samantha. No matter how worst her husband is, she takes care of him quite well. I want such type of girl” he said, clarifying his requirements.

Well, in reality, these are the days where women are trying to be more independent and quit the monotonous lifestyle when it comes to marriage which they are following since centuries. In this age of emancipation, expecting someone like Sravani in Majili is a thing that is highly impossible. Let us see if Sharwa will find one.

Pawan Kalyan Is Full-Time Politician, Part-Time Hero

Share

There is a huge gungho about Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s comeback to films as departing leaders like JD Lakshminarayana have accused that the actor’s going back to films as irked them. Responding on the same, Nadendla Manohar stated some sensible stuff we must say.

“There is no going back on Pawan Kalyan’s words that he will dedicate his life for the party and the society. Despite the fact that Pawan is getting many offers considering his superstardom he never took them. But he has opted to do those films as he has given commitments prior to entering the electoral war” said Nadendla Manohar, the second in command of Janasena Party.

Can Janasena survive only if Pawan works in films?- “It’s not exactly like financial wise. But these films could make him close to the people for the stardom he has. In a way that is beneficial to the party. But at any given time, Kalyan garu will be full-time politician and only a part-time cinema hero” Nadendla further adds.

He further revealed that Pawan’s film work will not be disturbing his political activities as the actor got all the needful flexibility from his producers. “He will be acting only whenever time permits and schedules will be planned on his availability and time. So there is no need to worry about his political plans getting disrupted due to movies” Nadendla said, as he signs off.

Why Is Eenadu Against Trivikram and AVPL?

Share

Trivikram is one of the few filmmakers who has vast knowledge on various subjects. He rarely gives interviews and all sections of media makes sure to give maximum footage or print space when he talks exclusively to them.

But Eenadu irked Trivikram by printing his interview in a quarter page and Vijayashanti’s interview in the remaining page.

Trivikram was hurt at Eenadu’s treatment and has reportedly expressed his displeasure with their reporters.

In spite of that, Eenadu did it again by not giving enough space for Trivikram-Allu Arjun interview to print media on the occasion of Ala Vaikuntapuramulo’s grand success.

While other print media gave full page space for the interview, Eenadu gave little space in Hyderabad edition and totally ignored it in AP edition.

Shockingly, Eenadu went to the extent of reporting false collections to belittle Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in their January report.

Eenadu has the reputation of reporting facts, but it looks like their enmity against Trivikram has overpowered journalistic ethics too.

Rule 145 Goes Against Rule 154!

Share

There is a constitution to be followed in the country. There are a set of rules (written and unwritten) in the country for the politicians and the elected bodies to be followed.

No one is allowed to cross them at their convenience. There are checks and balances and that is the beauty of Indian democracy.

However, the political clash between the opposition TDP and the ruling YSR Congress in AP, for supremacy, is now witnessing a political, legal and constitutional war in the State.

The TDP saw to it that the Legislative Council had referred the capital decentralisation bill to the select committee by its chairman, who is a TDP man.

The TDP has greater majority in the Council and thus its chief Chandrababu Naidu prevailed upon the Council chairman.

Under heavy pressure, the Council chairman had used Rule 154 of the Legislature, which gives him discretionary powers, but limited.

Now, caught in a row over the very existence of the Legislative Council, as the Assembly had sent a resolution seeking its abolition, the TDP is putting pressure on the officials to start the procedure to constitute select committees.

The officials cite rule 145 clearly tells the officials that the select committees are formed only after due voting in the Council.

As there was no voting conducted in the Council, when the chairman announced the select committee, the officials say that the chairman’s discretionary powers are not as per rules and refuse to begin the process.

Caught in a piquant situation, the TDP is crying foul on the Council matters. Even the threats of issuing privilege notices by the TDP is not causing any fear among the officials of the Council to take the Chairman’s rule seriously and constitute the select committees.

Unfortunately, the TDP is losing its ground for the political game it had played in the Upper House (Council), to beat the YSR Congress which was given a whopping majority of 151 MLAs in the Lower House (Assembly).

In fact, this is what happens to the politicians who try to play politics with the Rule Book or the Constitution.

Andhra Talk: Politics of public meetings!

Share

With the opposition Telugu Desam Party is desperately trying to sustain the momentum of the agitation of Amaravati farmers against shifting of administrative capital of Andhra Pradesh to Visakhapatnam, the ruling YSR Congress party has been making all-out efforts to mobilise public support to the three capitals plan of the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

Both the parties are justified in their attempts because ultimately, they have to gain the public support for their political gains.

The TDP’s agitation, however, is confined mostly to Krishna and Guntur districts, which are largely affected by the shifting of the capital to Visakhapatnam.

The YSRC has been organizing rallies in different parts of the state in support of three capitals plan.

It is gradually building up its case to prove that the TDP is fighting for Amaravati only to protest the interests of a section of farmers belonging to a particular community, besides safeguarding the real estate interests of the TDP leaders and alleged benamis of party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

The public meeting held at Naravaripalle, the native village of Naidu in Chandragiri constituency in Chittoor district is part of the YSRC’s strategy to get public endorsement to Jagan’s three capitals plan.

The objective was to convey the message that even the people in Naidu’s own village are endorsing Jagan’s proposal.

On the face of it, there is nothing for the TDP to find fault with the YSRC leaders to conduct the public meeting at Naidu’s own turf, as the latter, during his regime as the chief minister, had held a public meeting at Pulivendula, the native of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The TDP tried to stall the meeting, but could not because the YSRC has all the advantages of being a ruling party. So, the next best thing for the TDP is to tell the outside world that the meeting was a miserable flop and hardly a few hundreds of people mobilized from Chandragiri attended it.

That was how pro-TDP newspapers like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy projected it on Monday. In fact, Eenadu didn’t even give any coverage to the report on the front page, except a couple of lines as a pointer stating that the meeting was a flop.

Andhra Jyothy tried to kick up a controversy by quoting Jagan’s advisor Ajeya Kallam alleging that even Supreme Court judges had grabbed lands in Amaravati through insider trading. It also carried a picture of the public meeting with empty chairs.

On the other hand, Sakshi gave a big coverage to the Naravaripalle meeting, saying that it was a big success with thousands of people attended the meeting to a packed venue and endorsed Jagan’s plan for decentralized administration.

Otherwise, the three major dailies have carried their respective special stories on their front pages.

Eenadu carried two flyer stories – one on Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman’s assurance to tax payers on further simplification of taxes and another locust trouble for crops in northern India. It also carried the banner story on Corona Virus threat to India, particularly to the Telugu states.

Andhra Jyothy carried a negative story as its banner on how the excise department officials are indulging in large scale corruption in implementing the new excise policy, apart from the stories on Special Investigating Team (SIT) diluting the role of Dharmana Prasada Rao in Vizag land scam and national media reports warning Jagan against being adamant in the capital shift.

Sakshi, as usual, carried a pro-establishment story as its banner on distribution of pensions even on a holiday on Sunday and an anchor story on Mahila Mitra mobile application scheme.

2 Andhra youths stranded in China appeal for evacuation

Amaravati: Two youngsters from Andhra Pradesh including a 22-year-old woman, who is due to be married this month, are stranded in coronavirus-hit China and have appealed to the government to evacuate them.

Annem Naga Jyothi and Satya Sai Krishna, stranded in the worst affected Chinese city of Wuhan, were not allowed to board the second Air India flight that brought over 323 Indians back on Sunday as they were running high temperature.

Jyothi, who hails from Kurnool district and is due to be married on February 14, made an appeal to the Indian government through a video that went viral on the social media.

Jyothi and Krishna were among the 58 trainee engineers of Panel Optodisplay Technology Private Limited (POTPL). Barring the two, all others have returned to India.

Currently lodged in a dormitory provided by POPTL, the youngsters are waiting for help from the Indian government.

“We were supposed to take the first flight but were stopped from doing so in the last minute as were having high body temperature. When we were preparing to board the second flight, we were informed that we could not be taken on this flight either,” she said.

She said the Chinese authorities did not confirm that they were affected by coronavirus. “Our body temperature is normal now. I am very healthy. Please take me back to India,” said Jyothi, daughter of a retired military officer Maheswara Reddy, who passed away in 2014.

She said they are willing to be tested to show that they have no symptoms.

Jyothi’s family in Kurnool is worried over her well-being. Her mother Prameela said the government should immediately do something to bring her back as she was left alone in China. She believes that Jyothi got the fever due to stress.

Prameela said Jyothi’s marriage was fixed with Amarnadh Reddy, a chartered accountant based in Bengaluru.

India has so far evacuated 647 citizens from Wuhan, the epicenter of coronavirus outbreak. There are at least 10 Indians including the two youngsters from Andhra Pradesh reported to be stranded in the Chinese city.

The Chinese health authorities on Monday said that the death toll in the country due to the deadly novel coronavirus has increased to 361, with 17,205 infected cases.

Last week, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had urged the Centre to evacuate 35 youth from the state trapped in Wuhan.

The youth were part of a group of staff of Chinese firm POPTL who went there for training in August last year.

POPTL selected the students during campus placements to work at its upcoming LCD TV screen-manufacturing unit near Tirupati.

Balakrishna As Aghora in Boyapati’s Film!

Share

Boyapati Srinu is aware of the high expectations surrounding his next film with Balakrishna.

Despite Balakrishna’s recent flops and Boyapati’s forgettable Vinaya Vidheya Rama, expectations are rife on Balakrishna-Boyapati film for obvious reasons.

Hence, Boyapati Srinu is making sure to have surprise elements in this film.

According to the buzz, Balakrishna will be seen as an aghora in one of the getups for the film.

Balakrishna took a look test and is currently getting ready for the character. His recent tonsured look is a part of the preparation for Aghora look.

Balakrishna will be playing dual role in the film bankrolled by Miryala Ravinder Reddy. Another getup will be a powerful yet glamorous one.

The film will start rolling soon and is likely to release in December this year.

Top 5: AVPL Continues Its Stronghold Despite Competition

Share

1) Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo: Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo retained its top spot for fourth consecutive weekend. AVPL maintained it stronghold despite competition from multiple new releases.

It picked up on Saturday after slowing down during week days and had a fantastic Sunday with most of the theaters putting up house full boards.

2) Ashwathama: Naga Shaurya tried his hand at action and his crime thriller has been receiving mixed response.

It had a fairly decent weekend with decent turnouts across single screens. But it will need to hold well during the week days.

3) Sarileru Neekevvaru: Sarileru Neekevvaru still has some gas left in its tank, which was evident on Sunday.

There was a sudden jump in collections on Sunday, but the poor turnouts during weekdays will be an issue for its buyers to hold the theaters for few more days.

4) Disco Raja: Raviteja now has four disasters in a row. Disco Raja has turned out to be a major disappointment leaving a big hole in its producer and buyers pockets.

5) Chusi Chudangane: This small film has been ignored by ticket paying public despite strong promotions.

Its weak content and short film standard filmmaking further hampered its chances to pick up.

January Box office For Telugu Cinema

Share

With biggies lined up for Sankranthi no notable films were released during the first week of January.

Kannada dubbed Athade Srimannarayana was the only movie that made some buzz among the first week releases and it hasn’t clicked with our audience. The hope of recreating the magic of KGF didn’t come true for ASN.

Rajinikanth’s Darbar kick started the Sankranthi season with a superb day 1, but couldn’t go further because of weak content. Murugadoss has once again fumbled with his mass masala formula that Darbar has ended up as a big failure in Tamilnadu too.

The first biggie of the year Sarileru Neekevvaru opened with a bang at the box office. It took a thunderous opening on its day 1 all over, but the lacklustre content made it second fiddle to Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that released on the consecutive day.

Thanks to Mahesh’s superstardom and Sankranthi season, Sarileru Neekevvaru was able to become the highest grossing film for the Superstar. It couldn’t create any Non-Baahubali records at the box office, though.

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that was expected to play second fiddle to Sarileru Neekevvaru, dominated the box office right from the word go.

It has gone past all existing Non-Baahubali records in all the territories and is still minting handsome shares in its fourth weekend.

The film reinstated Trivikram’s status as the top director and has put Allu Arjun back in the reckoning. He is back in the race for numero uno position with an earth shattering success.

Kalyan Ram was very ambitious in pitting his Entha Manchivadavura against the biggies and has paid the price for doing so. The film ended up as a failure after opening well on its day 1.

Raviteja’s disastrous streak continued as Disco Raja tanked at the box office. Ashwathama and Choosi Choodangane released on the last Friday of January and things don’t look promising for both the movies.

Ashwathama couldn’t even get upper hand on Sankranthi release AVPL that is into its fourth week now.

On a whole, it turned out to be a great start for Telugu Cinema this year. There is nothing like biggies clicking and living up to the expectations of the trade.

US box office that looked so out of shape last year is back to its previous state as the Sankranthi films grossed nearly $6 Million in USA and Canada.
