Sony Offers Grand Payment To Mahesh?
There are many times where corporate giants in the film world always wanted to make it big in Telugu industry. But then the likes of UTV, Reliance Entertainment, Disney and Eros International have tasted huge flops here, due to which they have stepped back. That, however, hasn’t stopped other players to try their luck.
Latest corporate biggie to enter Telugu market is none other than Sony Pictures Entertainment which is behind many high-budgeted Hollywood movies. Already the company has joined hands with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment Pvt Ltd to carve out Adivi Sesh’s Major and another web series. Now, we are hearing that Sony offered another stunning deal to the Superstar.
Rather working on films that have different heroes, Sony is said to have offered a huge remuneration deal to Mahesh in order to star in their direct production venture with him. The grand payment offered to him is said to be equal to what he charges for 2-3 films. While a local producer will be taking care of the execution, Sony will be backing it with their funds.
Reports are coming that Mahesh will discuss more things about this deal in his ongoing New York tour and might team up with Sony Pictures for his next being directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Let’s see what happens.
Buzz: Trivikram To Do A Medium Budget Movie Immediately
It has already come out that star director Trivikram Srinivas will be teaming up with Jr NTR for his next film. But then, there is a long wait of more than 6 months for the Nandamuri hero to be available for the wizard of words. This what we’ve discussed earlier too, as what will be Trivikram doing in this time.
Buzz has that the director will be undertaking a medium budgeted family drama that will be wrapped in a jiffy like how he did ‘A..Aa’ with Nithin earlier. A word is doing rounds that hero Venkatesh, who has earlier worked with Trivikram when the former wrote dialogues for movies like Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malliswari, is actually pretty much ready to team up with the director.
As the filming of Asuran will be wrapped very soon, in just a couple of months time, Trivikram will be preparing a script in this period. Later they want to wrap the movie in just four months such that both could do their projects immediately. Well, if Trivikram could carve out a movie with Venky in such sharp timeline, like how Mahesh and Anil Ravipudi wrapped Sarileru Neekevvaru recently, it would be really great.
Caste Factor Brings Hero and Heroine Pretty Closer
He’s a handsome Telugu hero who has done some good films though his market never expanded nor people eagerly wait for him always. At the same time, he became the talk of the town due to his affair with an aged lady who hails from a big Tollywood family. After elders got a scent of this affair, they have called it quits.
But then, some revealed that actually the hero got close to a heroine who has acted with him in his recent flick. In fact, the two hail from the community and that brought them closer, say sources close to them. As that heroine happens to be a spicy diva who is making inroads into many tinsel towns right now, she won’t mind flirting with this guy for a while.
Currently, the two are said to be spending cosy time in a foreign country which the hero is quite familiar with. Though there are no plans of publicly admitting the affair or getting married, the two wants to spend good time and go with the flow. Guess what, the hero is now recommending her name for his upcoming film as well though producers are not interested in it.

BlueSky Cinemas, one of the leading players in overseas market for Indian movies is now bringing another romantic comedy entertainer Bheeshma into overseas market.
Venky Kudumula who delivered hit comedy movie Chalo is coming up with another full-length entertainer Bheeshma. Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna playing leading roles followed by Ananth Nag (KGF fame), Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Sampath (Mirchi Fame), Naresh, Brahmaji and Ajay.
Music is being composed by Mahati Swara Sagar who composed songs for Chalo. Recently released teaser and song got very good response.

Bandla Ganesh Extremely Upset With Ravipudi!
Bandla Ganesh started off his career playing small characters but he went on to become a mega producer.He made movies with big stars like Pawan Kalyan, NTR, Charan and Allu Arjun. Recently, he entered into politics and has become a hit on YouTube with his viral comments.
Ganesh’s 7’0 Clock blade comment one of the biggest hits with the meme makers on social media.Anil Ravipudi had seen potential of a funny character on this lines and offered Ganesh to play a comedy character in the much hyped train episode of Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Although Ganesh wasn’t too interested to do it, Anil Ravipudi convinced him that it would click with the masses and make him popular as an actor.Despite becoming a star producer, Ganesh always had that displeasure for not making it big as an actor. He believed that this offer would bring him glory, but the character turned out to be a damp squib.
Ravipudi didn’t make it an interesting or fun character and it was so annoying to an extent that most of Ganesh’s scenes were edited out after the negative feedback.Ganesh is upset with Ravipudi for making him do a pointless character that wasn’t liked by his kids even.
He is reportedly furious with Anil Ravipudi for making him look like a bad joker on screen.
Sarileru Neekevvaru Goes Mum After Rs. 200 Cr Poster!
Sarileru Neekevvaru is on course of becoming a hit at the box office. It is just a few crores shy of breaking even and should reach that point by this weekend.Of course, a poster reading Rs. 200 Cr gross collection worldwide was released as a formality, but that’s a distant possibility in reality.
Media anticipated that the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru would announce a number higher than Rs. 220 Cr that was printed on Ala Vaikunthapuramulo’s latest poster.But during meet the press, producer Anil Sunkara dodged the questions regarding collection figures.
“Situation is a bit sensitive now. We will give the final figure after the theatrical run is complete,” he stated.Even Anil Ravipudi and Dil Raju laughed off the questions regarding box office collection.
Looks like, the constant trolling on social media and getting snubbed by the media for releasing fake numbers have silenced the producers of Sarileru Neekevvaru.They may have to settle down with the record of highest grossing film in Mahesh’s career as it is unlikely to break any records by the time its theatrical run ends.
Nandini Reddy to Direct SDT’s brother
Director Nandini Reddy is not yet decided about her next film but she has multiple offers from production houses.The ‘Oh Baby’ director has already committed to complete a web series “Lust Stories” for Netflix.Then she has signed a film for Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt and it will star Panja Vaishnav Tej, Sai Dharam Tej’s younger brother.
Panja Vaishnav Tej is making debut with Mythri Movie Makers produced “Uppena”. Irrespective of its fate, Nandini Reddy will work with him, say sources.On the other hand, Mahesh Koneru is planning to cash in the success of “Oh Baby”.
He has put a proposal to Nandini Reddy to plan another film with Samantha so that they can sell the movie for good prices given “Oh Baby” was a huge hit.What will be Nandini’s choice – Samantha’s film or SDT’s brother movie?
Telugu People Gave 320 Cr Already, Can They Give More?
Coming Friday, we have another chance at the box office as usual as Massraja Raviteja’s latest flick Disco Raja is hitting the marquee. But then, this VI Anand directorial need to get an extra-ordinary talk from its First Show itself as audiences will not be in a mood to spend money easily now. Guess why?
Actually all the Telugu audiences have geared up to celebrate Sankranthi festival with two biggies, Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. In most of the theatres, the tickets are priced at Rs 200, while some theatres even sold at Rs 300 for all the classes. This led to audiences spending huge from their pockets, regarding which they are not unwilling. They have spent almost 320 crores (Theatrical revenue: Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo gross 188 cr + Sarileru gross 147 cr) from their pockets to watch these movies.
After spending so much money already, will they be ready to spend another big note to catch up Disco Raja in theatres on January 24th? Analysts feel that the audience might take out cash only if the film is extremely infectious and fetches terrific mouth talk. Otherwise, they will be waiting to watch it on digital streaming apps or on television.
Perhaps that is the reason some distributors requested to postpone his Disco Raja but the struggling star hero is not in a mood to budge.
Gopichand To Call It ‘Seetimaar’
Director Sampath Nandi who has worked as an assistant writer with Paruchuri Brothers for a long period of time has finally turned director with Emaindi Ee Vela. Later he delivered Racha with Ram Charan but then struggling to find his rhythm with other commercial films.

It is being heard that the two have already locked a title for this action-comedy, and the rumour is that they named it as “Seetimaar”. This is a popular word which means ‘blow a whistle’, and recently the word got hype due to Allu Arjun’s song that goes by the lyric ‘Seetimaar’ in DJ movie.

Also, he has openly expressed his desire to build a big house in Hyderabad. Reports are coming up that he has actually roped in an architect to design a big palatial residence for him which will be constructed at a site owned by his father Allu Arvind.
Reportedly the star hero is said to have asked to design a terrific place that will give a feel like it is not seen anywhere in Hyderabad till date. He wants it to look massive, modern, luxurious, rich and designer-like, such that it will awestruck everyone who steps there.
Earlier Mahesh Babu has built such house for him in Film Nagar and now Megastar Chiru and Charan have built their new palatial residence in Jubilee Hills. Looks like with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo inspiring him even Allu Arjun is going to do the same very soon.
Amazon Prime’s Sleeper Hit Of Sankranthi Season
Definitely Sankranthi season is the biggest of the big seasons than a Summer or Dasara due to the fact that all classes of the society want to spend more and enjoy the festivities. But then, these days binge-watching on digital streaming apps also became a fad and many cinema lovers are sticking to their Smart TVs during holidays.
If Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru are the two successful movies at the box office in this Pongal season, then we have another sleeper hit. It happened on Amazon Prime Video where latest Telugu films get screened in a record of 50 days time from the date of release. With Suresh Babu opting for just 30 days window to stream latest flick “Venky Mama”, looks like some folks saved their money at the box office.
Reports are coming that Prime Video has seen a record number of views for Venky Mama which happens to be an out and comic caper that is available online in a short period of time. As many theatres cleared that film during Sankranthi eve to facilitate the release of Ala and Sarileru, it turned out to be blessing in disguise for Prime Video.
On the other hand, trade circuits are shocked that Suresh Babu has released this film earlier but a Sankranthi release would have given it more collections. Venky Mama is expected to have made a staggering 40 crores share from the box office in its 1 month run.
