Pink Leaks: Pawan Kalyan Getting Trolled
Giving just 1-2 hours of time every day for the shoot, Pawan Kalyan has made none other than Dil Raju convince with his erratic timings in order to join “Pink” Telugu remake. And that shoot of the film has begun, due to which, some pictures of Pawan got leaked for the sets.
While this is happy news for Pawan Kalyan’s fans, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan’s admirers are trolling the actor. The Janasena president has not only stated that he will quit films after joining politics but made many statements around it. At one point he stated that if Jagan is governing the state well, then he will be going back to films rather agitating against his policies.
Taking these words into consideration, now trolls are targeting Pawan with lots of memes. They say that as Pawan went to shooting, Jagan is governing Andhra Pradesh quite well. Many such memes are trending on the social media now as Janasena’s detractors are making fun of Pawan’s comeback to films after short break.

The award was presented by the Honorable Former President of India & Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Centre didn’t give any nod for three capitals?
The National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre has not given any clearance or approval for the decision of the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh to create three capitals for the state. This was made clear by BJP national spokesman and Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao.
He was reacting to the reports that appeared in a section of media that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had kept Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah in loop over the plan to shift administrative capital to Visakhapatnam and had taken their permission before going ahead with the bills.
“Such reports are fabricated. The Centre has not given any permission whatsoever to shift the capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. The three capitals plan is just bogus,” he said.
GVL, who had been saying all these days that the centre had no role to play in the capital formation.
Reacting to the appeal made by the TDP that the Centre should play the role of big brother in the capital shift, the BJP leader lashed out at it, saying the TDP was trying to impose its inefficiency on the BJP.
He refuted Jagan’s claim that Amaravati would continue to be the capital city.
“Just because there is an assembly, Amaravati cannot be called a capital city. May be, Jagan is trying to avoid legal hassles by claiming it to be the capital city,” he said.
GVL also found fault with Jagan government for trying to mislead the people by raising the issue of insider trading.
“If there is any such illegality, why can’t the government file case against the TDP leaders?” he asked.
Angry Jagan set to abolish legislative council?
If YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has his way, the state legislative council is all set to get abolished sooner or later.
Reason: The two crucial bills passed by the state assembly on Monday – one on repealing APCRDA and the other on creation of three capitals for decentralised administration – were stalled in the state legislative council on Tuesday, thanks to the majority of the Telugu Desam Party members.
The bills were rejected by the council which has majority number of Telugu Desam Party members.
Out of 58 members in the AP state legislative council, the TDP has 28 members and YSRC has only nine members and Bharatiya Janata Party has got two.
There are five Progressive Democratic Front members, five independents and six nominated members, besides three vacancies. The independents and nominated members are also backing the TDP.
Earlier, too, the legislative council rejected two important bills proposed by his government – one on introduction of English medium in government schools and second one on creation of separate commissions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Apparently angry with the rejection of the two bills, the Jagan government is now contemplating abolition of the council.
He reportedly called for an emergency meeting of the cabinet on Tuesday night to approve the bill for abolition of legislative council on the ground that the council is not serving its purpose and secondly, it is causing huge financial burden on the state exchequer.
The bill is likely to be introduced in the state assembly on Wednesday and it has to be accepted with two-thirds majority. Since YSRC has 151 MLAs, it may not be difficult to get it passed.
However, the council will not be abolished so easily. After the passage of the bill in the assembly, it has to be sent to the Centre for approval in the assembly. The Centre may take its own time in giving approval or keep it pending.
Till such time, the council continues to be there, creating troubles for the Jagan government.
Mahesh 27: Namrata trying to bring Kiara!
As Mahesh Babu’s ‘Saileru Neekevvaru’ got past its 10th day, the focus is getting shifted to his next film with Vamsi Paidipally. Mahesh decided to give his ‘Maharshi’ director another chance with this film. It is expected to go on floors from May.
Vamsi is currently busy working on the film’s script and other works which are expected to be done before May. There is a talk that he is going to take happening music director Thaman for this film. Apart from that, Vamsi is also planning to bring a new heroine this time to add freshness. But Mahesh’s wife Namrata and her team are trying to bring Kiara Advani into this project. Mahesh and Kiara’s pair got good response in ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ but Kiara became star heroine in Bollywood meanwhile. ‘Kabir Singh’ which released last year became a blockbuster and Kiara turned into a busy star in Hindi. Sources say that she neither has the time nor interest in acting in South films. Also, Mahesh Babu’s films don’t hold much importance to heroine roles which prompted Kiara to take this decision as per reports.
As Mahesh’s 27th film is not officially announced, we need to wait and see what happens by the time the film actually goes on floors.
KTR praises Thaman for his ‘Samajavaragamana’!
Telangana minister K Taraka Ramarao (KTR) is quite active on social media and he maintains a good relationship with the film fraternity. He attended many film-related events and encourages good films by tweeting about them on social media.
He is currently in Switzerland and he took to social media and heaped praises on music composer Thaman for his recent chartbuster ‘Samajavaragamana’. He wrote, “Jet lagged & up at 3:30 am Swiss time!‘Samaja Varagamana’ on my playlist keeping me company. What a brilliant song!! @MusicThaman you’ve outdone yourself. Cant get this one out of my head.”
It is definitely a sweet surprise for Thaman to get a compliment from a politician. He responded on Twitter by replying, “Sirrrrrrrr coming this from the man I look upto @KTRTRS u have made our song more sensational More power & more love to U sir. Happy to knw tat our #sensationalsamajavaragamana is making ur day. We have got the best now.”
As we know, ‘Samajavaragamana’ garnered over 100 million views on Youtube and became a sensation. Sid Sriram gave vocals to the beautiful lyrics penned by legendary Seetharama Sastry. Thaman is definitely on cloud nine with the amazing response for this melody.
Varun Tej not interested in Vijay Sethupathi!
Mega hero Varun Tej had a massive 2019 with super hits like ‘F2’ and ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ under his belt. Now, he is doing a sports drama with a debutant director under GA2 Pictures. Varun plays the role of a boxer in this film and there is news that the makers are planning to rope super talented Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist but sources say that Varun is not interested in him.
Vijay is a fantastic actor and it is difficult to match his performance. So, Varun is pushing his makers to search for another actor to play that role. On the other hand, the director and producers are insisting on bringing Vijay Sethupathi onboard as he adds a lot of weight to the film. With this, there is a certain level of dilemma amongst the team over the villain’s role.
The Tamil actor played a brief role in Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’ and is also working as the bad guy in Vaishnav Tej’s ‘Uppena’. So, Sethupathi may not have inhibitions in working with another mega hero. He is definitely an asset if he gets to work in this film. It is to be seen whether the team can convince Varun Tej or not.
Can ‘Jaanu’ impress the audience?
Dil Raju’s films are not getting enough publicity these days. Barring some big films which do not need much promotions, people are failing to notice whether his small films released or not. Small and medium-range films need to be promoted aggressively. Interesting promotions drive the audience into theatres. His upcoming production ‘Jaanu’ which is a remake of Tamil flick ’96’ is not getting enough hype.
There are a lot of factors that may work against the film. ’96’ doesn’t have any commercial elements and the narration is very slow. The entire burden was on talented actors Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha to pull off the magic onscreen. Also, the Tamil audiences are more open to such classy films.
In Telugu, we need to wait and see if people accept that kind of passive narration. Films like these need a lot of positive buzz around it from the word go to bring people into theatres but the teaser which released a few weeks back got lukewarm response. The biggest question remains whether Sharwa and Samantha will pull off that kind of performances which Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha did in the original or not. Despite all the talk, Telugu audience lean towards complete entertainers and aggressive films more than soft and slow films like ‘Jaanu’.
Let us wait and see what happens in February.

Bandh in Amaravati, farmers confused!
The passage of two crucial bills, one to do away with Amaravati as the capital region and second to decentralise state administration with executive capital at Visakhapatnam, in Andhra Pradesh assembly on Monday has left the farmers of Amaravati with no choice.
They have realised that the YSR Congress government headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would not go back on its three-capital plan at this stage; and so, there is no point in continuing the protests. They are now planning to approach the court as a last resort.
On Tuesday, the farmers of Amaravati observed a complete shutdown in protest against the lathi-charge by the police against them as part of Chalo Assembly rally.
While schools and colleges remained closed, the shops and other business establishments downed their shutters in 29 villages falling under Amaravati.
The farmers also refused to cooperate with the police and officials in any manner, even in selling food and water.
The farmers are pinning hopes on delaying the implementation of three capitals bills as long as possible, so that they could take the fight to Delhi.
They are sending messages to each other using social media network stating that they should knock the doors of every authority to see that the capital shift plan is stalled.
