I don’t take criticism in a wrong way: Thaman
Music director SS Thaman is the sensation in Tollywood right now. He is back with a bang with the blockbuster music album of Ala Vaikunthapurrammuloo. Juggling with both Venky Mama and Ala and other films, Thaman is the most happening music composer. Despite his super busy schedule, we manage to strike a conversation with him.
“Ala Vaikunthapurrammuloo and Venky Mama are good scripts. Good scripts require good songs. The directors of the films are taking the good songs from me. I have nothing to do much,” says most humble and down-to-earth Thaman about the immediate two big releases of his work.
Divulging how he has redefined his career and what helped him to bounce back, Thaman reveals, “I took break after Sarrainodu and have studied where it was going wrong. I had played cricket. I had travelled. I had interacted to my friends. The break was good and helped me to improve myself. I be with the people. I talk to people on Twitter.”
“It all depends on selecting scripts. I came to know that I was repetitive in choosing my scripts. I know where I’m standing today and I know where I’m going to stand tomorrow,” adds Thaman. “From Mahanubhavudu, I’ve started fresh. I took a break for one and half year. I have studied what is happening with me. From Bhaagamathie to Tholi Prema to Chal Mohan Ranga to Aravinda Sametha, everything has changed,” says Thaman about his transformation in his career.
Talking about feedback and criticism, Thaman says, “I don’t take criticism in a wrong way. Every tweet is like a press meet. Why would someone tweet negative about one’s work unless and until he is disappointed with one’s work. Next time, I make sure to make that person happy. That’s how I keep working upon myself and my work.” “Amma Thittakapothe Ela Telustundi, ” says Thaman comparing critics with mother.
Talking about Venky Mama, Thaman reveals that the film is an emotional film with a lot of depth in it. “Without dubbing, without rerecording and without effects itself, my eyes were teary when I have watched portions in edit suit. Venky Mama was touching and moving.”
Ask him how does he feel when singer is taking away credit and dominating, Thaman quips, “If Sachin scores a century, does the team feel bad? No, 
right? If a singer gets credit, I’m very happy. I really feel happy if a singer handpicked by me has delivered his job well.”
Nithin out, Nikhil In!
Despite having faced many troubles while shooting for Arjun Suravaram, Nikhil has scored success at box-office and he’s now got a bigger reason to celebrate.
Director Surya Pratap, former assistant of Sukumar, made a stunning debut with ‘Kumari 21F’. Sukumar himself has penned the script of Kumari and yet again, Surya Pratap is banking on his Guru Sukumar for his new film with actor Nikhil Siddhartha. It was officially announced that Bunny Vas will bankroll it under GA2 Pictures banner.
But, hero Nithin was initial selection for this story. The makers of the film decided to change lead actor and it has favoured Nikhil, who’s striked gold with Arjun Suravaram.
The reason for Nithin to leave this project was not disclosed but it could be him being too busy with his ongoing film ‘Beeshma’ and an untitled movie committed for Chandrasekhar Yeleti. But, no official reason was given by him. Musician Gopi Sundar is likely to score audio tunes for this untitled project

If there is one thing more beautiful than being a gentleman, it’s a fine gentleman who also adores his family. Megastar Chiranjeevi, known for putting his family first, no matter what, is inspiring us with his granddad goals and he has no qualms in showing it.
Despite his busy schedule, Chiru made being a caring grandfather look easier. The latest video shared by his elder daughter Sushmita shows her daughter’s storytelling time with granddad Chiranjeevi. The video looks adorably cute as the girl looks surprising with one hundred per cent concentration on what Chiru is narrating her.
Sushmita wrote a caption “My baby was a lil under the weather so now pampered with a story time from granddad. He is narrating Chudalani vundi story to her” Isn’t the little girl’s expressions priceless?! Probably, the 98’s blockbuster story has left his granddaughter mesmerized. While the girl is adoring Chiru’s storytelling, here we are adoring both of them.
On the work front, Megastar is busy with his next film with Koratala Siva. The film will be produced by Ram Charan Tej and it was launched on Diwali.
Taapsee to play Mithali Raj on screen!
Mithali Raj is one of the greatest in woman cricket and earlier there came reports that a film on her life is on the cards. After months of speculation, the confirmation finally arrived and that too on Mithali Raj’s birthday which happens to be on Tuesday i.e December 3rd.
Taapsee will be playing role of Mithali in the latter’s biopic which is reportedly titled ‘Shabaash Mithu.’ Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ fame Rahul Dholakia will be directing the movie.
Wishing Mithali on this occasion, Taapsee shared pictures of the cricketer’s birthday celebrations. “You have made all of us proud in more than many ways and it’s truly an honour to be chosen to showcase your journey on screen. On this Birthday of yours I don’t know what gift I can give you but this promise that I shall give it all I have to make sure you will be proud of what you see of yourself on screen with #ShabaashMithu,” wrote Taapsee and lastly added that she is ready to learn cover-drive.
To the media, Taapsee said that the script is in working stages and in this meantime she will undergo training in cricket.
Aapara Arey Vikramaditya Motwane!
When director Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame tweeted that Fear is the only factor that can change things radically in a society, Bollywood director Vikramaditya Motwane took dig at him, as he tweeted, “Will that FEAR stop them from slapping her?”.
Cut to the social media, those admirers of Kabir Singh/ Arun Reddy movies are having a feast on this director, who tried to take dig at Sandeep. For the uninitiated, Vikramaditya is the writer of ‘Dev D’ and the director of Netflix hit series ‘Sacred Games’. As this director is seen giving preachy stuff to Sandeep over his comment on #DishaRapeIncident, netizens reminded Vikramaditya of the atrocities his characters commit in Dev D and Sacred Games.
From mockery of spiritual gurus to forcibly raping people and indulging in unnatural sex, from using extreme expletives to brutally killing people, from planning things against the country to worst human relations, Sacred Games portrayed everything. And it is quite funny that the director of that series is now throwing satires at Sandeep Vanga. “Aapara arey Vikramaditya Motwane, we saw Sacred Games” is what one user commented.
Father And Son Back In Town- Four Films To Get Relief
Now that father Suresh Babu and son Rana Daggubati are back from the USA, there are things that are to be taken care of. Not just Venky Mama release or other distribution things of Suresh, but four films are actually waiting for a big relief since long, and they will get it now.
Firstly the remake of ‘Asuran’ is waiting for Suresh Babu to come up as he will be taking a final call on the script. Though Venky made many changes to the original and Srikanth Addala adding few more suggestions to it, it is the senior Daggubati who will finalise things. Then they have Raj Tarun’s Dream Girl remake, which is ready and test shots done already. He will be taking a final call on this too.
And then, Rana has two projects to give relief. Firstly he has to join the shooting of Virataparvam which is being directed by Venu Udugula. From a long time, the whole unit is waiting for him after they wrapped scenes with Sai Pallavi and Nanditha Das. And then, the remake of Bollywood hit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has also started, and the unit is looking forward to seeing if Rana will join as the lead man or not alongside Vishwaksen.
We have to see how these four films are going to take off from the now after the arrival of Rana and Suresh into the town.
Why Rakul Getting No Calls from Tollywood?
Recently hottie Rakul Preet Singh has claimed in an interview that she is never going to leave Telugu films and that is highlighted by many national media folks, thanks to the strong PR team of the actress. But then, is Telugu film industry really missing out Rakul is the question one should peep into.
Of course, many filmmakers have indirectly confirmed that Rakul hasn’t shown interest in Telugu films after getting a couple of offers in Bollywood. Also, she is said to have refused to do glamorous roles in Telugu movies, though she’s doing something double that of it in Bollywood. Actor Sai Ram Shankar, who is the younger brother of ace director Puri Jagannadh, is all set to test his hands at film production. Sai Ram Shankar is turning producer with his up next film. He along with his close friends is very soon turning producer and is going to make a film.
Sai Ram Shankar is in the process of starting a new production banner and the registration process at Film Chamber is underway. Apart from producing the film, Sai Raam will play the lead character in the movie.

Chaitu Brother’s B’Day: Chay-Sam In Singapore!
Star heroine Samantha and her husband Naga Chaitanya have not taken a day off after coming back from Goa, and they have flown to Singapore. Many wonders why the couple suddenly landed in the South Asian nation for a holiday, after already spending a holiday in Goa to celebrate Chay’s birthday. Here’s the detail.
Apparently Naga Chaitanya’s younger brother, the son of his mom Lakshmi Daggubati from her second marriage, is said to be celebrating his birthday. The family members are said to have attended a music concert, savoured on food and spent quality time together.

For the unknown, actually Chay has grown up in Chennai along with his step-father and step-brother after his parents Nagarjuna-Lakshmi divorced. So he has a great camaraderie with them all.

Media asked to stop showing pics of Hyd rape accused
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police investigating the gruesome gang-rape and murder of a woman veterinarian, said on Tuesday that it might intervene to stop the media from telecasting video clippings and photographs of the accused and related documents, adding it was hampering the probe.
The police have taken serious note of “some print and electronic media giving wide publicity and identity of accused and the documents related to the investigations by telecasting continuously in TV news channels and in newspapers and social media”.
Investigating officer in the case said this was hampering the investigation in terms of diminishing the value of crucial evidence which is vital for proving the guilt of the accused.
The officer said that in exercise of the provision under Section 149 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the police may interpose for preventing the commission of cognizable offence.
He requested for stopping forthwith telecasting of video clippings, photographs of the accused persons and investigative documents in electronic, print and social media to avoid hampering in collection of evidence and also prevent any cognizable offence.
Security heightened at Hyd jail housing rape accused
Hyderabad: The city police on Tuesday heightened security at the Cherlapally central prison here, where all the four accused involved in the gruesome rape and murder of a woman veterinarian have been lodged.
Additional police personnel were deployed and orders banning assembly of five or more persons near the jail premises were imposed to prevent any protest.
The move came a day after five persons carrying banners gathered near the jail, demanding death penalty for the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
Police patrolling vehicles were seen in front of the prison, located on the road leading to Cherlapally industrial zone on the city outskirts.
With the police filing a petition in a Shadnagar court, seeking the custody of the accused for further interrogation, additional security measures were put in place to prevent any untoward incident.
A police officer said they did not want to take chances in view of what happened at Shadnagar police station November 30. They had a tough time in handling protestors outside the police station, about 50 km from Hyderabad, who were demanding immediate execution of the accused.
Later, doctors were called to the police station for medical examination of the accused and when the number of protestors swelled even the magistrate had to intervene to send the accused into judicial custody.
Police, however, had to resort to baton charge and make elaborate security arrangements to shift the accused from police station to the Cherlapally prison.
The four accused, Mohammed Ali alias Arif, J. Naveen, J. Shiva and Chennakeshavulu, have been kept in separate and high-security cells, meant to house those accused in terror cases.
No one has come to call on the accused during last three days. Jail authorities are also taking all precautions to ensure that the accused don’t have access to anything which help them to commit suicide.
The 25-year-old veterinarian was gang-raped and murdered by four truck drivers and cleaners near a toll gate on the Outer Ring Road at Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad on November 27.
According to the police, they trapped the victim by deflating a tyre of her Scooty when she had reached the toll gate at around 9 p.m. to pick up her vehicle, which she had parked earlier before boarding a cab to visit a dermatologist in the city.
After killing the victim, they carried the body in their truck near Shadnagar town and set it ablaze.
The incident has triggered public outrage across the country. Protests were continuing in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, demanding immediate death penalty for the guilty.

Title Poster: Nani’s Tuck Jagadish
Ninnu Kori combo- Nani and Shiva Nirvana is back with yet another interesting project. Today, title of the film is revealed with a poster.Tuck Jagadish is the title confirmed and it is designed with single Telugu font.Tucked in his shirt, Nani is seen standing at farms and looking at something. His dressing style and the background hints that the film is set in a village backdrop.
Nani who mostly played guy next door kind of roles seems to be playing a different role in Tuck Jagadish. Certainly, his name in the film is Jagadish who apparently appears tucked in all the time.Dressed in simple attire, Nani yet looks fab here, though his face is not visible. The title sounds atypical and funny.
There are two leading ladies in the film i.e, Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh.The joint production venture of Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi will have music by S Thaman, wherein Prasad Murella will crank the camera.

Trolls Having a Field Day with Mind Block Song
As soon as the much-awaited first song ‘Mind Block’ from ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is out, the Twitterati started typing their keyboards to point out the similarities between this song and Nenu Sailaja’s title song.
Ram and Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Nenu Sailaja’ was a musical hit and its title song is very popular. Despite this, director Anil Ravipudi and producers of this movie have given nod to the same tune that Devi Sri Prasad dished out for them to compose this so-called mass song ‘Mind Block’.
Trolls point out that Devi Sri Prasad has just added speed to the original tune. Incidentally, the Nenu Sailaja song was also composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Social media is full of comedy videos comparing both these songs. Trolls are having a field day.
There has been strong criticism that Devi Sri Prasad has been suffering from a creative block, he is just rehashing his old tunes.
Though it has chances to click with the masses when the film hits the screens, DSP will not get away this blot of duping his director and producer by rehashing an old tune.
