Botsa Calls Amaravati as Smasanam, Kicks Up Controversy
Courting an yet another controversy, AP Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, Botsa Satyanarayana, at a media interaction on Monday compared capital Amaravati with Smasanam (crematorium).
Responding on Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu’s scheduled tour to Capital region on 28th November, Botsa dubbed Capital as Smasanam and said whether Chandrababu is coming to visit the Smasanam. Botsa had said, “Rajadhani Smasananni Chusi Edavadaniki Vastunnava? (Translates into ‘Are You Coming To Witness The Capital Burrial Ground And Cry?)
Botsa was referring to lack of development of capital region during previous TDP government. However, Botsa’s remarks comparing capital with crematorium have blown out of proportion and caught him and his party leaders in off guard. Severe flak, criticism is raised from Opposition over Botsa’s Smasanam remark.
With criticism coming from all corners, minister Botsa has tried to clarify that he had no intention to malign capital’s image and he was just referring to how Chandrababu Naidu had turned the capital into Smasanam. Yet, the damage has already been done.
Botsa’s comments have come in handy for Opposition leaders. TDP’s senior leaders have demanded CM Jagan to dismiss minister Botsa with immediate effect for hurting the sentiments of people in capital region.
Talk Of Town: Teja To Meet Megastar To Give A Narration
A couple of weeks ago, we has revealed that director Teja is actually focussing to do a Hindi film now after his latest Telugu project ‘Sita’ went for a toss at the box office. And it looks like the director is almost ready for narrating this flick to some stalwarts before taking it to floors.
We have earlier reported that Teja has actually prepared a story based on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, and some talented writers from Hindi arena have worked on it. And now, he’s said to be getting ready to narrate this story to Megastar Amitabh Bachhan, after which he wants to meet Rajkumar Rao too.
A little birdie tells us that the story of Article 370 will be more like an unusual friendship between an aged Kashmiri Pandit and a young Muslim intellectual, who chronicle their memories of how they survived various atrocities in the valley and what keeps their friendship alive.
Let’s see if Teja will get succeeded in bringing Amitabh to the project and make his dream debut very special one.
Mama And Alludu Took Very Less Remuneration?
This December 13th, we are going to see real-life uncle and nephew, Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya, together on the silver screen as their “Venky Mama” is getting ready for a release. Here’s an interesting snippet about the remuneration they have charged for this film.
Though Venky is quoting nearly 5 crores if any outside producer approaches him for a movie, he’s said to have pocketed only half of that for this film. As it is produced by Suresh Babu on their own banner, maybe the senior hero is taking a share in profits some say. So what is the remuneration Naga Chaitanya has taken?
Though Chay is quoting around 5 crores for outsiders, he’s said to have done his part only for 1.75 crores remuneration as the number of days he contributed for the movie are very less compared to films that have him as a solo hero. Also, it is being heard that as the budget of the film escalated, both the heroes have cut down their remuneration to a half.
Directed by KS Ravindra of Sardar Gabbar Singh fame, Venky Mama has Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput as leading ladies, while Thaman has scored the music.
Now, Sreemukhi’s New Show Is Coming Up
Seems like the contestants of #BiggBoss3 are able to find some new opportunities as their popularity went soaring after that show. Firstly we have Siva Jyothy aka V6 Savitri landing in TV9 Telugu now after coming out of the show. She’s said to have got offered huge paycheck to jump the boat.

Indian-origin student strangled in Chicago
New York: An Indian-origin student was found strangled in her car in a university campus in Chicago and a suspect has been arrested and charged in the crime, according to authorities.
Ruth George, 19, was found dead at a parking garage on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on Saturday and the alleged killer was arrested on Sunday, campus police Chief Kevin Booker said on Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The newspaper said the arrested man, Donald Thurman, 26, was charged with first-degree murder and sexual assault.
It said that he is an ex-convict who was sentenced to six years for a robbery in 2016, but was let off on parole last year. A picture of the man on the newspaper’s site showed him be a non-white person with dreadlocks.
In an earlier statement, Booker said that her family contacted the police after not hearing from her since Friday evening and her phone was tracked to the parking garage, where she was found in her car, he said.
Investigations showed that she entered the garage at 1.35 am on Saturday and another person with no connection to the university who entered it shortly afterward is being held in connection with the case, he said.
Booker identified the man Thurman and said he confessed to the crime, the Tribune reported.
The County Medical Examiner determined after a post-mortem that George was strangled, WGN-TV reported on Monday.
Her cousin, Sunaina Deborah, posted on Facebook, “Dearest Ruthie baby… we miss you… just not able to believe you’re no more… You were a loving and wonderful daughter, sister and cousin… Rest in peace.”

Clueless Prabhas fans Demand Official Statements
Prabhas’s fans are fuming over no official word from him and his PR team about his new projects. After the release of ‘Saaho’, Prabhas has become silent.He has not been in touch with his fans through social media either. He is not updating anything on his Instagram.
Although media has regularly been writing about Prabhas and is also giving news of his interaction with various directors for the next projects, the fans want an official version.They are worried about one-way communication from him. They are flooding many questions to his Instagram handle but he is not responding.
The PR team is also silent and the UV Creation handle is also not updating anything about the new movie. Prabhas was supposed to start the regular shoot of his new movie this week but it has been deferred. When will this movie be commenced? What will be his next movies?

Andhra Pradesh: Amaravati back to headlines!
The NDA government’s move to incorporate Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh in the revised map of India prepared by Survey of India and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s announcement that he would tour the capital area on Thursday has brought the controversy over the Andhra capital back into headlines.
As if to neutralise the impact of these developments, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting with officials of the AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Monday and asked them to complete the pending works as quickly as possible on a priority basis.
He also announced development of plots allotted to the farmers who have given their land for the capital city.
He directed that the officials concentrate first on the constructions that are about to be completed and for the same, the government is ready to grant funds. He said that the reverse tendering in the construction works will reduce the amount.
Jagan’s review meeting has become the banner story for Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy.
Both the dailies focussed on his statement that there was no need to take up construction of assembly, secretariat and high court buildings for now, apparently to give an indication that the Jagan government might relocate these structures.
Andhra Jyothy went a step ahead and carried a second lead story on municipal administration minister Botsa Satyanarayana describing Amaravati as a burial ground and asking the TDP president why he was visiting such a place.
Sakshi, however, carried Jagan’s review meeting as a small item, asking the officials to complete the incomplete structures. However, it made the outburst of a section of Amaravati farmers against Naidu as its second lead story.
The controversy over English as a medium of instruction continues to hog the media headlines.
Eenadu carried a big story on the TDP chief expressing doubts whether Jagan and his ministers would find fault with even Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for stressing on mother tongue. It also published a small story on Pawan Kalyan’s comment in this regard.
Andhra Jyothy also carried Naidu’s Kadapa meeting, but downplayed his comment on English, while Sakshi completely ignored it.
Andhra Jyothy and Sakshi gave prominence to Jagan’s call to the people to report to the toll-free number 14400 on any issue of corruption, including irregularities in sand supply. For Sakshi it is a banner story and AJ also carried it as a single column at the top.
The Maharashtra episode in which Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP demonstrating their strength by parading their MLAs has been taken as a flyer in Sakshi and in the other two dailies, it was taken as main story prominently.
Eenadu carried an interesting political story of YSRC MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju going to the BJP office despite the recent controversy over his support to Telugu language and his salutes to PM Modi. Obviously, it was meant to needle the YSRC.
Andhra Jyothy also has its brand of negative story on Polavaram Project Authority refusing to intervene on release of funds by the Centre for the Polavaram project and asking the Jagan government on its plan of action.

‘We left Chiranjeevi’s house after breakfast’
It was a star-studded evening on Sunday, November 24, in Hyderabad where megastar Chirajeevi hosted the 10th annual reunion of 1980s stars.
Around 40 stars from south film industry and Bollywood attended the bash. This year too, there was a theme and dress code and celebrities at the reunion were seen in gold and black attire.
Many including Chranjeevi, Venkatesh, Jackie Shroff, Suhasini, Lissy, Ambika, Radha, Jai Sudha, Poona Dhillon, Nadhiya, Shobana, Sumalatha, Amala and Nagarjuna, Mohanlal, Radhikaa and Sarathkumar, Revathy, Khusbhu, Jaya Pradha, Prabhu, Menaka, Jayaram and Parvathy, Poornima and Bhagyaraj, Saritha, Rajkumar, Arjun, Naresh, Bhanuchander, Suman, Suresh and Rahman seemed to let their hair down and having great time at the 10th Edition of re-union.
Last year, the theme of the reunion was ‘Denim and Diamonds’, this year it was ‘Black and Gold’ with the whole gettogether co-ordinated by Suhasini.
Speaking to Bollywood media, Poonam, who has been a part of the group and the reunion for four years, informed that this is the most awaited party for all actors in the group who keep in touch, be it happy or sad times, and plan for it through the year.
“The reunion is very special as that night none of us are stars or actors. It is a very meaningful and emotional day for all of us. We are just friends who have gathered together. Guests flew in from Dubai and the US, and from all over India. I myself cancelled my travel plans so I could be present,” the actress said.
Old stories were shared, and present well-being, families and children discussed.
“There was a lot of fun and laughter, song and dance. We even played antakshari together with all of us singing each other’s songs. It was an evening of nostalgic trips and emotions ran high,” Poonam shared, adding that though she hasn’t worked with most of the actors, this group is the reason she has a lot of friends down South.
The guests were requested to not click photographs or upload videos but this was a rule that wasn’t obeyed.
“We knew even our fans would love to see us together,” the actress gushed, adding that Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan also made a brief appearance, wondering if their generation will be able to pull off such bonding.
The party that started around 7 pm, went on till the early hours.
“We had coffee around 4 in the morning and left Chiranjeevi’s house post 6 am, after breakfast,” Poonam revealed, praising Chiranjeevi and Surekha’s hospitality and admitting that since the next reunion is a year away, they have made tentative plans to meet in between.

The film is directed by Trivikram who has tremendous craze in the USA market.Trivikram’s ‘A Aa’ still remains one of the all-time biggest hits overseas. With ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ music becoming viral, Allu Arjun is more confident that he would crack the market this time. However, the bad situation in the USA market is a worrying factor.
Bunny has now asked his time to come up with ideas to promote the movie for the USA market in innovative and revive the market there.His film is competing with Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarlieru Neekevvaru’.
