His market value is not that high due to this regular film releases but he is on a hit streak for sure.For Christmas 2019, he is coming with Good Newwz, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, Kiara Advani along with him.

Raj Mehta’s film explores the idea of two families going through sperm mix up during IVF or artificial insemination.Both the couples have same last name and hence the comedy of errors, adjustment to the reality ensue.

While Akshay and Kareena are playing high class society couple, Diljit and Kiara play rich but dumb couple with eccentric attitude.Well, the comedy seems loud like Punjabi films and we have to wait till 27th December to find out, how much of it really works.

As this event is held by Akkineni’s, all the family members were present at the event barring Samantha. This came as a shock to everyone as the ‘Oh! Baby’ actress never misses such special occasions. Many wondered what was the reason behind her absence. As the shooting of ’96’ is wrapped up already, people are thinking that she might have been busy working on her debut web-series, ‘Family Man 2’.

Anu Malik is a famous and highly regarded composer as he gave several hits in 90’s and he is known for being impulsive & eccentric too.His loud behaviour attracted audiences to watch Indian Idol show for many seasons but many women are unable to digest the fact that even after celebrities on multiple occasions alleged that he is a harasser and sexual offender, Sony continued to employ him.

Recently he said that Sona Mahapatra, the main accuser, and other women are just lying and these allegations are “false”. Tanushree Datta, who started #MeTooIndia movement by going against Nana Patekar slammed the channel and asked for equality in treating everyone.

She said that she is unable to fathom how a channel like that is able to give a deaf ear to all the women who are alleging about the composer and still employ him. She wondered if TRPs are the only reason to do a show.

Well, she demanded Anu Malik to be ousted and replaced by Sona Mohapatra and she also said that investigation should be done against the composer without fail as many others might be too shy to come out and say the “truth”!

Popular online streaming sites Amazon Prime and Netflix have completely captured the digital media. They are buying most of the films and streaming them within a month or two of their release. This strategy by them is yielding them a lot of profits but it is causing a lot of damage to our industry.

The theatrical and satellite holders are facing losses because of this. To put an end to this problem, the producers’ council and chamber have reportedly come up with a solution. As per sources, they decided to sell the digital rights to sites like Hotstar, Zee5 and Sun Next which are attached to television channels. This makes it easy for satellite rights buyers as they will be getting digital rights too and can stream the films whenever they want to earn enough profits.

This rule is not confirmed but most of the producers are in favour of this. This definitely helps the film industry and dampens the popularity of Amazon Prime and Netflix to a large extent. What is your say on this?
