KG-to-PG in Telugu: Has Pawan gone crazy?
Ever since YSR Congress party government led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy announced introduction of English medium compulsorily in all the government schools, there has been an intense debate over the same across the state.
While nobody is per se objecting to introducing English medium in the government schools, there have been various suggestions to the government.
Some said the government should give an option to the students whether to choose English medium or Telugu medium, instead of thrusting English medium compulsorily on them.
Some others said there should be simultaneous English and Telugu medium sections in the schools.
Others suggested that the government should give sufficient training to the teachers first in teaching subjects in English, since untrained teachers would not be able to do justice to the students.
Veteran politicians like Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu suggested that the students should be taught in their mother tongue till schooling and later, they should be given the choice to move to the English medium.
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s anguish is not against the English medium, but against Jagan for opposing the same when the TDP government took a similar decision during its regime.
But, Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan seems to have gone a step ahead. He issued a statement that Jana Sena Party’s policy is to teach students in Telugu medium right from Kindergarten (KG) to Post-Graduation (PG).
He said if Jana Sena comes to power, he would make Telugu a medium of instruction from KG to PG.
“The next election plan will be to continue Telugu as the medium of instruction and students would be encouraged to take it up. We shall even provide free education to those who study from KG to PG in Telugu medium,” Pawan said.
One wonders whether Pawan has really gone crazy. At present, students have the facility to study in Telugu medium only up to undergraduate level.
No university in Andhra or Telangana has the facility to teach subjects in Telugu medium at the post-graduation level.
This is basically to ensure that students, after the completion of post-graduation, will have to compete with their counterparts in other universities in research, teaching and higher jobs. How Pawan is planning to introduce English at the PG level is a puzzle.
“If Jagan’s decision to introduce English medium at all levels is being question, then what about Pawan’s decision to teach subjects from KG to PG in Telugu medium? Is it not crazy?” an analyst asked.

Infosys Murthy’s son Rohan marrying again soon
Bengaluru: Software major co-founder N.R Narayana Murthy’s son Rohan Murthy is getting married again, this time to Aparna Krishnan, on December 2, a source told on Thursday.
“Rohan is marrying Aparna, daughter of Savitri Krishnan and Commander K.R. Krishnan (retd) here on December 2,” the source close to the Murthy’s family told IANS here.
Aparna’s mother is a retired officer of the state-run SBI and her father a former naval officer. The Krishnans live at Kerala’s Kochi.
“Rohan and Aparna met three years ago through a friend and have been in meeting often since then. The wedding and reception are at a star hotel here,” the source said.
Rohan, 36, married Lakshmi Venu in 2011 but divorced her in 2015. Lakshmi is the daughter of TVS Group Chairman Venu Srinivasan.
As the only son, Rohan, holds substantial number of shares of the $11-billion Infosys along with his parents.
Rohan, whose net worth is estimated to be $500 million, is a doctorate from Harvard University in computer science and is a junior fellow at its Society of Fellows at Cambridge in Massachusetts.
Stay Away From Social Media: Indian Army Warns Its Officers
Indian Army has commanded its officers to stay away and entirely avoid from all social media sites/personal groups as they also contain non-Army people as members. The directive also told that it would periodically check the officer-only groups to prevent the breach of security amid security threats.
Being on social networking sites or posting pictures in uniform may become a constant threat as images get auto-tagged with location. The earnest rule has been made for the final time because a few attempts have been made earlier by foreign intelligence to gather information from social media platforms. In detail, UP Police and military intelligence prevented a huge attempt by a spy last month to use the autonomous program, or say, bots and hack into the computer systems of around 100 officials.
Army also, asked all serving officers to exit WhatsApp at any cost and groups of Facebook too as identity can be verified easily. They are even barred from sharing their opinion online or in any public manner. Moreover, the policy also suggests the family members of Army to not post any employment details about serving officers on social media platforms.
With social media hacking and honey trapping from hatred countries, the risk of being targeted to malicious attack are higher. Leakage of sensitive information can easily happen even if one member from the Army does a mistake by disregarding social media policy given. Therefore, the Army wants its officers and soldiers to keep them away from the social medium, in order to curb the menace.

Vallabhaneni Vamsi has ended the suspense over this political future and no surprises here, Vamsi has extended his support to AP CM YS Jagan and his YSRCP government. Vamsi called on the press meet and replied to every question to the presspersons asked. He went on to make interesting comments on TDP, Jr NTR and Lokesh in this media call.
‘I know Jagan since 1995’
“I have resigned to TDP’s primary membership and also to my MLA position. I’ve decided to walk with Jagan. Keeping the politics aside, I’ve very close association with Jagan since 1995. I’m neither fearing cases nor doing any financial transactions with Jagan but extending my complete and unconditional support to him,” said Vamsi.

Raking up the issue of Jr NTR, Vamsi added, “About a decade back, NTR kept his film career aside and worked for TDP. He campaigned for the party. Where is he now and why did the party keep him aside?,” questioned Vamsi. He said his character is being assassinated by a few within the party.
Mocking TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, Vamsi made satirical comments. “People who don’t know the difference between birthday and birth anniversary are now leading the party. There is a batch behind Lokesh who always take him to the sky. One day he will definitely fall from the high and break his back,” stated Vamsi.
Taking on TDP chief Chandrababu, Vamsi added that he is not even able to efficiently handle the role of opposition leader. “YSRCP government is taking baby steps and it needs to be given time. It is true that due to rain and floods, there is shortage of sand but there is no need to panic. Why is TDP protesting now which is completely unnecessary? There is a talk that Chandrababu has invented computer and smartphone. Why can’t he invent such technology to extract sand even during floods,” asked Vamsi.
