SIIMA 2019 Video Trends At No 1 On YouTube
The 8th edition of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) took place in a grand manner on the 15th and 16th of August in Doha, Qatar. The 2-day ceremony witnessed the presence of several celebrities from all the four southern film industries.
SIIMA 2019 event’s Telugu edition was aired on a popular entertainment channel around a week ago. And a couple of days ago, the entire event was published on YouTube. The video became an instant hit among movie buffs and it has been trending at the number 1 spot on YouTube, which is a remarkable feat.
SIIMA event’s video offers nearly 2 hours of nonstop entertainment with fun hosting by Suma, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna. Dil Raju At Modi’s Event: Is He Bollywood Producer Now?
Other day Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a horde of Bollywood celebrities in the name of discussing how to take the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi to the world through films. While the PM dubbed it as meeting the Indian Film Industry, actually it is only Bollywood that got representation.
But with photos surfacing where ace Telugu producer Dil Raju is also seen, many thought that maybe Telugu folks are invited but they haven’t attended. A rumour started doing rounds meanwhile, saying that that pic with Dil Raju is a fake one and someone just photoshopped him. But Dil Raju is present in many pictures shared by PM Narendra Modi himself on Twitter, so his presence is not a photoshopped one.
When none of the Telugu industry wizards and legends is there, why is only Dil Raju attending the event became the question now? Some say that he has become Bollywood producer now as he got Jersey and F2 remakes happening in Hindi industry, and hence he got the invite.

Story For Chiranjeevi Is Ready: Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Nearly after staying away from Hyderabad for almost one and half years, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose debut film “Arjun Reddy” is an epic blockbuster of sorts, is back to his office in MLA Colony. He has just visited it to make sure that things are good in the apartment.
Chatting with a couple of journalist friends on this occasion, Sandeep says that he is happy with whatever path Arjun Reddy took him. After failing to get a producer for ‘Arjun Reddy’ immediately after narrating the story to Manchu Manoj first and Sharwanand later, finally, Sandeep did it with Vijay Devarakonda by investing his own money.
While Sandeep didn’t talk much about his upcoming Bollywood project, he stated that he wants to narrate a story to Megastar Chiraneejvi very soon. “Actually I have a story ready, which suits his age and stardom. No matter whether he does that or not, I want to narrate him the story. I’m his hardcore fan from childhood and revealed the same to him during Rangasthalam movie launch as well” said Sandeep.
Meanwhile, Sandeep is rumoured to be directing Ranbir Kapoor in his next, which is a crime drama.
Welcome To Tollywood!
After watching him in films like Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 and Bajrangi Bhaijan, many become his fans. Then came films like Badlapur, The Lunch Box and others that unleashed the super actor in him. With Sacred Games, where he played the role of Ganesh Gaitonde, the name Nawazuddin Siddiqui became synonymous with method acting and delivering breathtaking performances on the screen.
According to the grapevine, Suresh Productions is trying to bring this talented actor to the south as they are in talks for his Telugu debut. Apparently, for the film featuring Venkatesh, which is based on horse racing and has Tharun Bhascker directing it, the makers are interested to cast Nawaz if all goes well. But then, Suresh Babu denied this as he says, “We’re still in the scripting stage, casting is a far-away game”.
Sources, however, added that they have already approached Nawaz for the debut to happen, and very soon Tarun Bhaskar might go to Bombay to narrate the story of the film. Currently, the talented actor is picking big films that will give him small roles and small films that will have him as the leading man. We have to see if he will agree for a Telugu debut or not.
Mahesh! Try Those Roles, Rather Tweeting Them
Superstar Mahesh does only three things whenever he finds the time. Either he will be shooting for a film, or he goes on a vacation with family, or simply he will watch other films being made in India. And other day he has watched this Tamil movie that fascinated him big time.
“Asuran” is the latest movie featuring Dhanush in the lead and directed by Vetrimaaran. The film showcases Dhanush in an aged man’s role and the deadly twists laced with huge violence and other raw elements made it click with the audiences. After watching this movie, Mahesh tweeted, “Asuran…raw real and intense… Cinema at its best Congratulations“.
Glad that Mahesh watches movies back to back and gives his single line reviews on Twitter giving a sort of excitement for big films and encouragement for small movies. However, one wonders when will Mahesh star in such films rather than just promoting and tweeting about them.
“It’s good if Mahesh does a film like Sye Raa or a Goodachari or an Asuran. But he’s picking only those social message scripts or entertaining movies. Hope a day comes where Mahesh stands a name for different-films” commented a fan on his post.
Ram Charan & NTR To Dance With Salman Khan!
A couple of months ago, it has already come out that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has invited Jr NTR for a special dance event. As part of his Da-Bangg dance tour that is going on in the USA now, Salman Kahan will be coming to Hyderabad on November 2nd with his entourage including Prabhu Deva, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and others.
An interesting snippet is that Jr NTR along with Ram Charan will be attending this event. Both the stars might perform for a song or two, or they will be sharing the stage with Salman Khan over a couple of Telugu songs and shake their legs with the Bollywood topper. In that case, this will be the biggest ‘multi-star frame’ we ever looked in recent times.
In fact, both Charan and Tarak are supposed to be seen together at Royal Albert Hall as Baahubali team enjoyed the Philharmonic Orchestra’s live performance of the film’s first part, but they missed the bus. And now, fans are waiting to see if the #RRR stars will really appear together at Salman’s event.
Me & My Daughter Share Great Bond – Karthi
Karthi, who is all set for Khaidi (Kaithi in Tamil) release, revealed that the film has been shot entirely in night schedules. As the film is set in dark, the actor had to shot only for nights. He said the film was shot in 60 nights. Karthi also recalled that director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous film Maanagaram (Nagaram in Telugu) with Sundeep Kishan was also shot in nights. He said the movie needs the night shoots as the whole story happens in 4 hours of one night. He also said the film doesn’t have songs, romantic scenes owing to the script.
Karthi plays prisoner Dilli who has been prisoned for 10 years for no fault of him. He returns to find his 10-year-old daughter. Karthi avers that the film is a gripping narration with 2.20 hours. He says the suspense prevails whether Dilli meets his girl or not. The film relies on the father-daughter sentiment.
Talking about the father-daughter sentiment, Karthi is elated. He said the role is not challenging to him as he is more bonded with his daughter. Karthi is the father to 6-year-old girl Umayaal. He says they both share a greet bond at home. He said, “Only fathers who have daughters would know the feeling. How beautiful the bond is between father and daughter. Probably, even the bond between a father and son isn’t as great as a bond between father and daughter.” Karthi added that the father-daughter sentiment is more closer to his heart than a father-son sentiment.

Venky Mama Release Date Linked With It!
Venky Mama was supposed to release for Dussera, but it got postponed due to delays in post production.
The release date is yet to be fixed, but it is eyeing at Sankranthi release according to the buzz. Neither Suresh Babu nor anyone related to the movie has confirmed the news as of now.
The reason behind the dilemma over release date is linked to computer work it seems. Most of the scenes, especially action scenes were reportedly shot on green mat, which require a lot of graphics work.
Suresh Babu is reportedly not pleased with the output given by the visual effects company and asked to redo all of it.
This has been consuming a lot of time which is why the team hasn’t locked its release date yet. If Suresh is satisfied with the fresh output that is due in few days, then he might go for December third week release. Or else the release will be slated for Sankranthi.
Release timing is not a problem for Suresh irrespective of competition as he got enough screens across Telugu States that could accommodate a film of Venky Mama’s range.
Reel Buzz: NTR’s Project Goes To Mahesh Babu?
We have been hearing reports about NTR doing his next project with KGF director Prashanth Neel. They both had met many times lately and discussed a lot about the subject. If everything goes well, Mythri Movie Makers would be producing this mega project.
However, things didn’t work out as planned as #RRR shoot got delayed. It wouldn’t be releasing next year according to reports.
Therefore, Prashanth Neel cannot wait until then as he is almost done with KGF 2. He has been looking for alternatives and Mahesh Babu is more than willing to team up with him.
Mahesh has plans to do his next film with Vamsi Paidipalli, but that project will take a while to materialize as the Maharshi director needs some time to get the script ready.
If Prashanth Neel can be ready with his script by the first quarter of 2020, then Mahesh will be happy to team up with him.
Mahesh has an impending film with Mythri Movie Makers and it wouldn’t be a problem for them to make this combination work.
There are so many ifs and buts involved as of now and we will get a clear picture on this combination very soon.
US BO: Raju Gari Gadhi 3 Gives a Shock
The North American box-office is witnessing a dull period. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Sye Raa” could not set the box-office on fire here.
The new releases – “Raju Gari Gadhi 3” and “Operation Gold Fish” are total damp squibs.
RGG3 collected just $3845 in its first weekend. Yes, it collected that paltry amount.
On the other hand, shows of “OGF” were canceled after seeing zero attendance. The film collected a mere 672 dollars in total.
Both these movies came as a rude shock to the distributors.

Why Is KCR Making Tough For KTR’s Succession?
It is clear that one day Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would ask his son K T Rama Rao to take over the Chief Minister’s chair.
He wanted a smooth succession for his son, mostly at the end of the present term, perhaps a few months before the next round of elections.
It is for this reason, KCR kept KTR out of the cabinet for more than 6 months in the second term, but finally inducted him, along with nephew T Harish Rao, into the cabinet.
While was planning a smooth succession of KTR, things seem to have gone out of the way making it tough even for him to handle it.
The TSRTC strike and the support that the RTC employees are getting from fellow employees’ unions and opposition parties. Even the students have joined the protest against the government.
KCR, a tough nut to crack, will have to come down for the first time and resolve the issue before it blows out of proportion or else, things would not be easy for the TRS or even the succession of KTR in the State politics.
There is a silence volcano in the name of Harish Rao in the TRS for this succession and it might erupt any time, when Harish feels uncomfortable.
If the State boils like this, and if it is allowed to be so, things are not going to be easy for KCR to crown his son, even if the MIM stands by the family.
It is good, at least in the interests of proposed succession of KTR, if KCR takes a step backward, keep his ego aside, and resolve the RTC strike, if he is seriously wants to have yet another term for him or a smooth succession of his son in the State politics.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Hero Back On Track
Most happening young hero Vijay Deverakonda will resume shoot of his sports drama film Hero from November. It is a multi-lingual film made in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
Vijay Deverakonda will wrap up last schedule of his ongoing film World Famous Lover under Kranthi Madhav’s direction by the end of this month and he will work nonstop for Hero from next month.
Director Anand Annamalai has already canned racing scenes and he will shoot crucial sequences in the next schedule.
As is known, Vijay Deverakonda is playing the role of a bike racer in the film and he underwent rigorous training for the same, before starting the shoot.
Hero is being made under Mythri Movie Makers banner with lavish production values.
