In the last two days, Telugu industry folks haven’t debated whether PM Modi’s meet with Bollywood folks in the name of “Indian Cinema Creators” is going to yield any result or just a PR exercise before the run up to Haryana and Maharashtra elections. But they are talking about the way mega daughter in law Upasana Kamineni stood up to the PM to demand what is due for us.

Even after making India’s biggest motion picture like Baahubali, and having a real pan-India star Prabhas whose films could run throughout the country unlike a Salman Khan or Shahrukh Khan who are restricted only to Hindi hinterlands, the Telugu film industry doesn’t get enough recognition which is proven by PM Modi again. And if people like Upasana raise their voice, one day it will be heard for sure.

Also, at a time when the likes of superstar Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are silent on this, stalwart directors like Rajamouli, Trivikram, Sukumar, Krish and other prominent people are mum, it’s great of Upasana to raise her voice against the injustice being meted.

The Real Reason Behind ‘RRR’ Delay!

The shooting of Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ is going on at a brisk pace. With Rajamouli setting the standards pretty high with ‘Baahubali’, film lovers are expecting nothing short of an epic. The makers are working hard to make the film ready by July 30th 2020.

The film is made with a budget of approximately 400 crores and buzz in the industry is that it may get delayed and hits the screens on May 2021. While we usually expect delay from Rajamouli, postponing the film by a year is way too much.

Sources say that there are two reasons behind this postponement. While the first one is obviously Rajamouli’s craving for perfection. He spends a lot of time carving the film until he finds it convincing. The second reason is the dates of Bollywood actors. Though the makers are not having any problems with the dates of Alia Bhatt, it is action hero Ajay Devgn who is creating issues.

The ‘Singham’ hero is currently working on the historic drama based on the life of Taanaji, the chief of Chatrapati Sivaji’s army. The film makers have announced its release date i.e. 10th January 2020. So, Ajay is completely immersed in completing this film and reportedly is not able to allot enough dates for ‘RRR’. This is having a lot of impact on the film’s shooting reveals the sources.

Jagan Requests Amit Shah For Chandrababu’s Arrest?

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah has garnered a lot of prominences. The meeting gained political significance with rumours are rife that CM Jagan has got some crucial information related to the previous government’s “corruption”.

After successfully completing the Reverse Tendering in Polavaram Irrigation Project, Jagan administration wants to prove that former CM Chandrababu Naidu has followed “corrupt practices” and hence it wants the intervention of Union Home Ministry to book Naidu.

It is speculated that Jagan would mount pressure on Shah to put Chandrababu behind the bars. It can also be noted that Jagan had cited the achievement of reverse tendering and saving of Rs 700 Crore public exchequer during his meeting with PM Modi early this month (Oct 5).

While TDP leaders continue to allege that CM Jagan is “desperate” for Amit Shah’s meeting as the former is trying to “compromise” with BJP in order to get relief from ongoing CBI cases against him. TDP leaders allege that Jagan is “dying” for BJP’s friendship. They are citing the ‘denial’ of Amit Shah’s appointment to Jagan for the last two times in this month.

While CMO and officials state that Jagan’s Delhi visit is purely apolitical and related to state’s issues, speculations surrounded Jagan’s Delhi visit with ruling and opposition leaders target one another. Only time will tell. For now, BJP has become the centre of attraction in AP politics.

TDP’s Adinarayana Reddy joins BJP, Targets Jagan

Former minister and TDP leader from Kadapa district Adinarayana Reddy has joined the BJP on Monday. Adi was welcomed to the BJP by party’s National General Secretary Arun Singh at the headquarters in New Delhi.

Speaking after joining BJP, Adinarayana targeted AP CM YS Jagan. “The AP CM says something and does something else. There is a huge confusion in AP people about the capital city, Amaravati and despite the union government expressing concerns on reverse tendering over Polavaram project, CM Jagan went ahead with it,” said Adi.

The ex-minister then said it’s only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who can take the nation forward in terms of development. “I will mingle with all the BJP leaders in state and strive to strengthen the party in AP,” concluded Adinarayana Reddy.

Adi resigned to TDP in the month of September and since then he is touch and holding talks with BJP leadership.

Chowdary’s Entry into Reliance Turns Controversial

Former bureaucrat from Andhra Pradesh who has served at a senior level in the union government has been offered a key role in India’s biggest corporate firm Reliance Group. 1978 batch IRS officer KV Chowdary had served as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC).

He had head the tax department from June 2015 to June 2019. His appointment to RIL’s board of directors is drawing flak from Opposition parties. KV Chowdary’s four-year tenure had witnessed some controversy pertaining to some political cases. Most important one is the case related to CBI’s infighting in 2018 during his tenure.

KV Chowdary, following the directions of the Supreme Court, had conducted a probe on CBI chief Alok Verma and submitted his report against Alok Verma. Replying to this, Alok Verma had leveled serious charges against then CVC KV Chowdary and even questioned his “integrity” as the CVC. It was then alleged by PM Modi’s political opponents that KV Chowdary favored PM Modi.

It is common knowledge that CBI boss Alok Verma and his colleague Rakesh Asthana, known to be the blue-eyed boy of PM Modi, were at loggerheads. KV Chowdary’s probe into CBI boss Alok Verma had become controversial.

As KV Chowdary is rumoured to be close to the likes of PM Modi and former CM Chandrababu Naidu and several others, his appointment into Reliance Industries Board of Directors is being questioned by Congress and CPM leaders. CPM leaders are demanding a thorough probe into KV Chowdary’s previous decisions related to RIL during his tenure.

Revanth Reddy storms into KCR’s House on a bike

Congress firebrand leader Revanth Reddy stunned the police by storming in a bike to KCR’s House Pragathi Bhavan. The Telangana Congress has called for the siege of Pragathi Bhavan over TSRTC strike on Monday and the police have house-arrested leaders in advance.

However, since last night, the police could not trace the Malkajgiri MP. The police have held raids at supporters and aides of Revanth Reddy yet they could not find him. Out of nowhere, Revanth came on a bike to Pragathi Bhavan and tried to enter it. The police who were deployed in large number at Pragathi Bhavan and Begumpet surroundings detained Revanth.

While detaining, Revanth spoke to the media and warned KCR that he is playing with the lives of RTC employees. “KCR should end his monarchy rule else the people will destroy the walls of Pragathi Bhavan one day,” said Revanth.
