Saaho: Day-3 is bigger than Day-1 & Day-2!
With numbers still trickling in, Saaho has already crossed the ₹ 200 crore-mark in all-India box office collections by the end of its second day-making it one of the highest grossing Indian films. According to the makers, the film collected 205+ crore in just two days of release. On day-1, Saaho made a whopping 130 Cr in all languages.
According to trade analysts, the jump in Saaho box-office collections was driven by the Hindi belt, while South India is seeing a slight drop, not so surprisingly. On release day, the Hindi version of Saaho has amassed a nett of Rs 24.5 Cr and grossed Rs 26 crore on its second day (Saturday). The Sujith Sign directorial is estimated to have collected 30+ Cr on Sunday. Which means, the day-3 is bigger than first and second day.
Even though reviews are not so encouraging, the audiences are keen to experience biggest action entertainer in cinemas and most importantly, for the star power of Prabhas. After Baahubali, Prabhas is considered to be the Pan-India star with massive craze across the nation and to cash in on his popularity, Saaho is released in all South Indian languages.
Huge Sympathy Wave Erupting For Prabhas!
Its negative talk all over for Saaho on Day 1, but slowly the wave got changing on Day 2 and Day 3 as many felt that Prabhas has done a fabulous job in pulling off a feat like Saaho on the silver screen. Here is another interesting turn towards this wave.
Prabhas is the only south hero who got such a massive release in Bollywood after the Baahubali series. Also the film Saaho managed to get huge collections from north in first three days, at par with top stars of Hindi film industry. But then, the film got negative talk much to the failure of the director and the way the visual effects have turned up in the end.
With every critic saying that Prabahs made a bad decision, general movie lovers are expressing sympathy for him. They say, Prabhas gave his 100% for the film, as he did huge hard work for 2 years and also promoted the film extensively, there is no way he could be blamed for this.
Some movie lovers are worried that Prabhas has got dissappointed with negtive talk on Saaho and they are expressing that he should recover fast from it to score another Baahubali kind blockbuster.
Pic Talk: Gopichand, the spy
Macho hero Gopichand’s upcoming movie ‘Chanakya’ team has wished the Telugu audience a happy Vinayaka Chavithi by unveiled a brand new poster.
As Gopichand will be seen as a spy in the film, he is seen pointing the gun on the backdrop are choppers. Tamil director Thiru is helming the film which has wrapped up the talkie part.
The song shooting is currently going on in Milan Italy.
Gopichand is romancing Mehreen in this spy thriller while Bollywood beauty Zareen Khan is playing a crucial role.
‘Chanakya’ is nearing a completion and so the makers are aiming for Dusshera release.

KGF, PUBG, GoT, F&F Influence On ‘Saaho’
If a film has too many influences of the present and ongoing works of other movies, games and happenings, surely it loses originality. That is what happened with “Saaho” right now as the film borrowed many references and scene ideas from the latest films, TV series and games.
Already we have noticed that the story of Saaho is actually lifted from French film Largo Winch and an artist named Shilo Shiv Suleiman accused the film of stealing her artwork installation for a song sequence. Not stopping there, Saaho resembles many other works as it has drawn inspiration from them.
The film’s opening sequence, where details about an underworld syndicate are being explained, actually sound close to KGF movie opening sequence. Similar couple of fight sequences are an inspiration of PUBG game inspired works. Certain visuals in songs actualy resemble popular series Game Of Thrones sets, while the desert fight sequence took its refernce from Madmax Fury Road scenes. Similarly the car sequence has its inspiration from Fast and Furious sequences.
With all these inspirations, Saaho lacked that freshness along with a flawed story.
Bigg Boss: Shilpa Is The Wild Card Contestant
Ramya Krishna did a very good job as the guest host by interacting well with the housemates although she doesn’t know any of them before.
She did her homework before coming to the show which is evident in her hosting.
Unlike Nagarjuna, who reads the script, Ramya Krishna talked about the things that the housemates were doing through the week.
As we reported earlier there was no elimination this week and all eleven contestants will continue for another week. A wild card contestant will make an entry in Monday episode.
Popular television anchor and host Shilpa Chakravarthy is the wild card contestant of this season.
Bigg Boss tried to bring in a film star like Shraddha Das, Hebah Patel or Eesha Rebba, but none of them seems to have shown interest to be a part of this season. So it is Shilpa Chakravarthy who will be stepping into the house in the seventh week.

Balayya Checks in Cheap Hotel In Bangkok?
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s current film recently wrapped up its schedule in Bangkok, where some romantic scenes between the lead pair Balayya and Sonal Chauhan were filmed.
However, Balakrishna and his director KS Ravikumar were not happy with the producer C Kalyan as he didn’t provide enough comforts during their stay in Bangkok.
C Kalyan and his production team reportedly booked a hotel that is quite substandard and cheap one for a star like Balakrishna to check-in.
Producers generally provide top-class luxury star hotels for a top star like Balakrishna. But Balakrishna and his director got the accommodation in a substandard hotel where all the crew stayed in.
The producer reportedly treated Balakrishna and director on par with small-time technicians or character actors.
Miffed Balakrishna and director finished the shoot hurriedly to come back to Hyderabad.
Especially, the director KS Ravikumar who directed big stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan expressed his displeasure on the sets openly.
Balakrishna too is said to have scolded production team for providing him accommodation at such a low-cost hotel.
Allu Aravind Saves Saaho From Pre-Release Crisis
Saaho the costliest Non-franchise film ever in India has had a smooth release everywhere. It is an achievement for UV Creations that has made only a handful films till now.
Mirchi (Rs. 50 crore budget) was their only big release post Saaho. Despite the inexperience UV Creations pulled it off in style.
However, they had faced some last minute tensions with respect to financial clearings prior to release. That is when Allu Aravind and Dil Raju stepped in to ensure smooth release.
They have reportedly shelled out Rs. 15 crore and Rs. 10 crore respectively while Prabhas himself has given guarantee for Rs. 40 crore.
UV Creations released the film on their own in many territories in AP including Nizam. They would have easily sold off the film given the enormous hype, but they had gone for own release in many areas.
This has put them under financial pressure on the day before release, but their goodwill and healthy relations with top producers helped to clear hurdles.
US BO: Saaho Performs on Average Note
“Saaho” is creating rampage at the domestic box-office. Despite low ratings from the critics and facing trolling from the netizens, the Prabhas starrer is posting humungous collection figures in India.
The movie will become one of the biggest earners in the domestic market if it continues the same momentum.
On the other hand, “Saaho” is performing on a rather dull note at the USA box-office.
The USA distributor got shocked by premiere shows as it did not even touch a $1 million mark on that day when all the big movies like “Spyder”, “Khaidi No 150”, “Agnyaathavaasi” have collected more than $1 million from premiere shows.
At one time, it looked like the film would collapse on Friday itself but luckily, it continued holding on at the ticket window. By end of the first weekend, “Saaho” has raked in an average collection of about $2.5 million.

Gulf and Australia ($800k) are contributing to the kitty in good numbers.
First Look: Mass Maharaja Looks Colorful As Disco Raja!
Mass Maharaja Raviteja is back after a hiatus. His upcoming film Disco Raja’s first look poster is colorful yet intriguing with many details.
Raviteja is in chilled mode with a gun in one hand and cigar in the other. He is dressed in bright red suit that denotes the theme of Disco Raja, Revenge.
Rewind, Fast forward and Kill is the tagline for this film directed by VI Anand and produced by Ram Talluri.
Disco Raja is aiming for release on December 20.
Was Prabhas ‘Photoshopped’ In Saaho?
Prabhas’ legion of fans are thrilled to bits at how slim dapper and svelte he looks in Saaho. But sources in the know whisper of Prabhas’s image being ‘fudged’, ‘modified’ and ‘photoshopped’ to give the hero a trim-and-fit look.
Says the source, “While the shooting was going on Prabhas put on some amount of weight. His face also looked puffed up at certain points. These physical encumbrances did not jell well with the super-smooth character that Prabhas plays in the Saaho. With little time for Prabhas to get back into shape, the director Sujeeth just shot Prabhas the way he was.”
Later while looking at the footage, it was discovered that Prabhas looked inconsistent in the film. Apparently in several scenes his flab around his belly and chin had to be digitally modified, to validate his role as the action hero.”
While the extent of Prabhas’ fudged transformation is yet to be known, what we do know is that his fans love him the way he is , and few kilos and extra flab make no difference to them.
Top 5: Brand Prabhas Takes Box Office By Storm
1) Saaho: Prabhas has taken Indian box office by storm with his action tentpole Saaho. The film has not lived up to expectations in terms of content, but that hasn’t stopped Prabhas from setting the box office on fire.
Saaho’s performance in Hindi circuits has been exceptional in particular. It has netted Rs. 80 Cr in three days in Hindi alone thus making it one of the biggest opening movies of the year.
Saaho has been sensational in Nizam, Nellore and a few other areas while it’s performance in AP and overseas is sub par so far.
2) Evaru: This crime thriller has emerged as the highest grossing movie in Adivi Sesh’s career surpassing Gooda hari. It is the only clean hit among August releases bringing profits to all parties.
3) Kausalya Krishnamurthi: This sports drama has been a let down and is currently running in only a handful of screens across Telugu States.
4) Mission Mangal: Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal has turned out to the second highest grossing movies in the actor’s career.
Akshaya has been super consistent with his choice of films that are getting superb response from ticket paying public.
5) Rakshasudu: Bellamkonda Srinivas gets some relief with Rakshasudu that went on to be a decent hit at the ticket windows.
The film is still running in a few screens in Telugu States.
August Box Office: Two Hits and Many Misses!
August 2018 was an eventful one with a couple of surprise hits. Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari made him a bankable actor and Geetha Govindam’s success made Vijay Deverakonda a big star.
This August also had witnessed two successful films, but there are so many misses and some forgettable duds among notable films.
Rakshasudu starring Bellamkonda Srinivas turned out to be a sleeper hit and has given a big relief to the actor who has been running through lean phase. It is a faithful remake of Tamil hit Ratsasan and got the thumbs up from thriller fans.
Manmadhudu 2 featuring Nagarjuna and directed by Rahul Ravindran has irked family audience with its adult content and ended up as a forgettable flop for the King.
With Saaho getting pushed to August 30, two notable films released on Independence Day and made the most of the holiday release.
However, Sharwanand’s Ranarangam directed by Sudheer Varma failed miserably leaving a huge hole in the pockets of its buyers and makers.
Evaru starring Adivi Sesh has impressed target audience and has become the biggest hit in the actor’s career.
Kausalya Krishnamurthy that arrived just a week ahead of Saaho failed to impress with its insipid content and poor making values.
Besides the above mentioned films, there were more than a dozen small movies that came out and got blown away without any trace.
The much awaited Saaho was out in theaters from Aug 30. The box office verdict of the film yet to be determined but the film opened to disappointing reviews and thumping collections.
The film’s content hasn’t lived up to expectations but Prabhas is currently doing justice to his post-Baahubali stardom.
