Tammineni is assembly speaker?
YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has gained completed grip over the party and is moving his pawns so cleverly that there is no scope for any disgruntlement from any section of the party, at least for now.
According to reports coming from the party insiders, Jagan is understood to have finalised the name of former minister and senior MLA from Amadalavala assembly constituency in Srikakulam district Tammineni Sitaram for the post of assembly speaker.
Sitaram, who attended the YSRC legislature party meeting in the morning, was called by Jagan separately after the meeting, where it was conveyed to him that he would be made the speaker of the assembly.
Though Tammineni expressed his interest in the cabinet post because of his seniority, Jagan told him that caste equations would not work out for accommodating him in the cabinet.
Since he is an orator and command over the legislative affairs, nobody else would be suitable for the Speaker’s post, Jagan told him.
Since Jagan is the supreme in the party, Tammineni could not say no to the post. Yet, he told Jagan to reconsider his request, source said.
There was also a talk that actress-turned-MLA R K Roja might also be considered for the Speaker’s post, as she is also a good orator.
Moreover, it is a sort of respect for her to sit in the Speaker’s chair, after she was expelled from the assembly for over a year on the charges of misbehaviour.

Jagan can never get special status to AP!
YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who took over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh last week, has been saying right from the day one that he would continue to pursue with the Centre on securing special category status to the state.
He even told the officials of the finance department to work out yet another representation seeking special category status to AP.
“It is going to be on the top of the agenda for us, whenever we go to Delhi with a representation,” he said.
The chief minister is planning to take up this issue again with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he receives the latter at Tirupati on Sunday.
However, Bharatiya Janata Party is understood to have sent a clear message to Jagan that there is no point in talking about the special category status at all, as it cannot be granted under any circumstances.
“Special category status to Andhra Pradesh is a closed chapter and there is no point in Jagan taking it up with Modi again. We don’t mind if Jagan asks the Prime Minister again and again, but it is not going to yield any results,” BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana said.
He said the Prime Minister was ready to extend whatever assistance the state required, but not the special category status.
“Let Jagan ask for funds liberally for the development of the state and Modi will consider it positively. But not, special category status,” he said, adding that if YSRC chief still claims he would get the status, it would only amount to cheating the people.
Wipro Founder To Retire Next Month; Son To Take Over
On July 30, Wipro’s founder Azim Premji will retire as executive chairman and managing director of the company and Abidali Z Neemuchwala will be appointed as the Managing Director of the company from July 31. Also, Azim Premji’s son, Rishad A Premji will be reappointed as the Director and Executive Chairman of the company. The company stated the news that Azim will retire after having led the company for nearly 53 years.
However, for a period of five years, ie.e, from July 31 to July 30 2024, Azim Premji will serve as the Non-Executive Chairman of Wipro. On the other hand, Abidali Z Neemuchwala will serve as the Managing Director from July 31 along with his existing post as CEO till the end of his current term.
Ever since 2015, Azim’s son Rishad Premji has been a member of the Board, member of the Strategy Committee and Administrative and Shareholders/Investors Grievance Committee of Wipro. He also served as the Chairman of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) for the financial year 2018-19.
Earlier, even before joining Wipro, Rishad Premji had worked with Bain & Company in London, as well as GE Capital in the US. He was later recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Talking about Neemuchwala, he has spent nearly 23 years in Tata Consultancy Services. He was recently appointed on the Board of Texas Economic Development Corporation and is also a member of its CEO Council.

CM Jagan’s cabinet to have five deputy CMs
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan is very cautiously finalising the candidates who will be part of his cabinet and on that note he took a sensation decision. Well it is, there will be five deputy Chief Ministers in the cabinet and all the five will hail from different communities. By doing so, Jagan is making sure that he is giving equal importance to all communities in his government. As per YSRCP’s mouthpiece, the five deputy CMs are likely to hail from Kapu, Minority, BC, SC and ST communities.
The total number of ministers are expected to be around 25 and Jagan is picking MLAs who are there in the party from its inception and are very loyal to party and him. The YSRC Legislature Party met this morning and in this meeting Jagan informed the MLAs that the cabinet will be shuffled after two-and-half years and new MLAs will be given a chance.
However, the list of names who are going to be ministers is still not out yet. Jagan will personally call the individual later this evening and ask them to be available for swearing in ceremony which is scheduled tomorrow. Meanwhile Governor Narasimhan is on his way to Vijayawada.
Vijaya Sai Reddy Counters Babu’s Letter; Yanamala Condemns
It is known that TDP Supreme Nara Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to new Chief Minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, asking his govt to declare the ‘Praja Vedika’ as residential annexe for leader of opposition. Reacting to it, the YSR Congress party National General Secretary, Vijaya Sai Reddy shot back at Naidu.
‘We assumed that the first letter from former-CM Chandrababu to Jagan Mohan Reddy will be on public issues, but sadly, it is about his luxurious residence. The letter has nothing but curiosity of Naidu on whether he’ll retain the luxurious home or not. It looks like the man who claimed to bring entire world to Amaravati is not interested to build his own residence here.’ – tweeted Vijaya Sai Reddy
But, his comments on Twitter were condemned by senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, who took a swipe at Reddy for finding fault in Babu seeking ‘Praja Vedika’ for his office use. He also reminded Vijay Sai Reddy about TDP Chief’s first letter to Jagan, in which the former CM had wished him a successful term in the office.
He further referred to points mentioned by Naidu in his letter to Jagan – ‘We will try to play a responsible opposition role and support you in all development activities and welfare schemes.’ In the end, Yanamala slammed Vijaya Sai Reddy for making politics out of Naidu’s letter.
Whoa! Nagababu Is Back In Jabardasth
From a time, there are various rumours doing rounds about the absence of mega brother in Jabardasth comedy show. Along with former heroine Roja, he used to judge the show and became an integral part of it. But after he chose to contest from Narasapuram as an MP on Janasena ticket, things took a different turn.
Recently with comedian Ali replacing Nagababu and joining Roja, many thought that the change is permanent. As Janasena lost the election big time, some felt that the mega brother will not be taking up the assignment back any sooner. However, it looks like his political loss is forgotten and he’s back to the show.
The latest promo of Jabardasth confirmed that Nagababu is back in the seat and Roja is there as is, giving a total send off to the likes of Meena, Sanghavi, Sekhar Master, Jani Master and Ali. The balance is now even with both Nagababu and Roja being the ones who have contested in the election, while Roja won and the mega brother lost.
Surely mega fans are quite happy with this development as the mood in their camp is quite gloomy ever since Pawan Kalyan and Janasena lost big time in 2019 elections.
Jai Sena Reflects Pawan’s Ideology
Setting the records straight, director V Samudra has made it clear that his directorial Jai Sena is based on Pawan Kalyan’s individuality and his ideology. He said Jansena Party is all about Pawan’s vision for the people, state where as the movie Jai Sena focuses on Pawan’s thoughts and opinions. And the film’s title and logo has striking resemblance with Janasena’s logo that shows fist.
Starring Srikanth, Sunil and four young heroes, interestingly, the film also has comedian Prudhvi who has affiliation with YSRCP.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena got a big blow in 2019 general polls in AP. The party won only 1 Assembly seat (Razole) while Pawan himself had lost in both Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies.
