Share

It is no longer secret that Hyderabadi Gutta Jwala is dating Chennai’s movie star Vishnu Vishal. She met him through common friends and they are in serious relationship now.

Both Gutta Jwala and Vishnu Vishal have acknowledged their love affair in an indirect way.

When someone asked what’s brewing between Jwala and Vishnu Vishal, the beautiful badminton player promptly replied on social media: ‘Brewed’. Means they are committed to each other.

Gutta Jwala is not new to film industry. She has many friends in Tollywood and she even did an item song in Nithin starrer “Gunde Jaari Gallanthaindhe”.

Jwala took divorce from her husband Chetan Anand in 2011. Since then she has remained single. Vishnu Vishal divorced his wife last year.

Buzz is that they are planning to take their relationship to next level. They might marry each other.

GVD is Advisor (Communications) to Jagan

Share

Senior journalist GVD Krishna Mohan, who has been the voice of YSR Congress party for the last nine years, was on Friday appointed as Advisor (Communications) to Government of Andhra Pradesh, headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

GVD, who started his career in journalism with Eenadu, used to write columns in the editorial page on various national and international issues, including Constitutional matters, economic affairs and politics, which got him a lot of name and fame.

His interview with senior Maoist leader Akkiraju Haragopal alias Ramakrishna (RK) on ETV News channel received wide appreciation.

GVD was one of the founding pillars of Sakshi media house and within a short time of the launch of Sakshi, he started exposing the maladies plaguing the system including deep-rooted corruption in various government departments through his column “Edi Nijam.”

Since then, he had become one of the close confidants of former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and present chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He had been associated with Jagan in every moment and walked along with the party president and his family in all the difficult situations.

Ever since Jagan had founded YSR Congress party on March 12, 2011, GVD had been part of YSR family and the voice of the party. He not only gave a strong voice to the party but also trained several spokespersons to effectively communicate the party stand on various issues. He was a real political master for the party’s spokespersons.

During Jagan’s padayatra, GVD had been associated with him and shared every difficulty and every turbulence faced by the party president. With Jagan coming to power with thumping majority, GVD has now become the communications head.

Nivetha for Allu Arjun as Second Heroine

Share

Trivikram never misses some elements in his films irrespective of genre. He always likes to cast two heroines opposite big male stars. In ‘S/0 Satyamurthy’, he did cast three heroines.

In his current film with Allu Arjun, Trivikram has taken Nivetha Pethuraj as the second female lead.

The romantic family entertainer already has Pooja Hegde as the main female lead. Tabu is playing mother’s role. Now, Nivetha has joined the cast adding more glamour.

Her name has officially been announced by Haarika Haasine Creations that is producing the film.

Nivetha Pethuraj was recently seen in Sai Dharam Tej’s romantic drama ‘Chitralahari’, which was an average grosser. Regular shoot is under progress.

Only four Reddys in Jagan cabinet!

Share

Contrary to the expectations that there would be domination of Reddys in the government of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the community will get only four berths in the cabinet.

According to YSR Congress party sources, there is a proportional representation to all the communities in the cabinet of Jagan.

As announced earlier, there would be five deputy chief ministers representing marginalised sections in the cabinet like SC, ST, BC, Kapu and Muslim minorities, which is considered to be a historic decision by Jagan.

Out of the 25 ministers, eight cabinet berths are being given to to BCs, five to SCs and one to ST, who account for 60 per cent of the entire cabinet of Jagan.

Besides, the chief minister also gave a lot of prominenceto Kapu Kapu community by allocating four cabinet berths.

While Reddys will get four berths, Kamma, Kshatriya and Vysya communities will get one berth each.

There is no representation to Brahmin community. Out of the two Brahmin MLAs in the party – Malladi Vishnu and Kona Raghupathi, one of them is likely to be made deputy speaker of the state assembly, sources said.

Dimaak Karaaab Song: Massy Musical Treat!

Share

Puri Jagannadh’s iSmart Shankar seems to be an out and out mass entertainer as everything about the film has been ‘Oora Mass’ till now.

The look of Ram Pothineni, the posters, the promos and now the Dimaak Karaab song is solely targeted at the masses.

Mani Sharma’s tune is not catchy, but it has foot tapping beats and addicting DJ mix.

Kasarla Shyam who has become the go to lyricist for Telangana folk based songs has penned lyrics for this energetic number.

Mani Sharma hasn’t delivered a catchy tune, but made sure it has enough to woo the masses.

Female leads Nidhi Agarwal and Nabha Natesh’s sizzling show and Ram’s energetic dance moves will add to the visual appeal of the song.

Jagan’s 5 Dy CMs move to reward communities’ support

Share

Amaravati: Creating a record of sorts, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will have five deputy chief ministers, said to be the highest-ever in any state in the country.

Jagan Reddy, who will be expanding his cabinet on Saturday, told the newly-elected legislators of YSR Congress Party on Friday that he will have five deputy chief ministers in the 25-member full-fledged cabinet.

Reddy’s five deputies will be picked up from five major social groups – Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), minorities and Kapus.

This is being seen as Reddy’s gesture to reward these communities for throwing their weight behind the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), enabling it to storm to power with a landslide victory last month.

The YSRCP polled nearly 50 per cent votes to win 151 seats in 175-member Assembly and also bag 22 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state, virtually wiping out the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Jagan, as the YSRCP chief is popularly known, took oath as the Chief Minister at a public ceremony in Vijayawada on May 30.

The 46-year-old Reddy told a YSRCP Legislature Party meeting at his official residence here on Friday that the cabinet will have representation from all sections of society. He also declared that half of the council of ministers would be from SCs, STs, BCs and minorities.

In its election manifesto, the YSRCP has made various promises for the welfare and development of these communities, which constitute about 70 per cent of the state’s population and are believed to have overwhelmingly supported the YSRCP to give it a huge mandate.

Reddy’s predecessor, N. Chandrababu Naidu, had two deputy chief ministers – K. E. Krishna Murthy and N. Chinnarajappa, representing the BC and Kapu communities, respectively.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s earlier cabinet also had two deputy chief ministers from among the BCs and Muslims.

Political analysts say Jagan, by having five deputies, wants to win the goodwill of these communities and further strengthen his vote bank.

Unlike TDP, which is dominated by the socially and politically powerful Kamma community, YSRCP is dominated by Reddys. While the leadership of the YSRCP and the government will remain with the Reddys, by nominating five deputies, the Chief Minister is keenness for carrying other key sections with him.

His father, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who was the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh between 2004 and 2009, had also enjoyed the support of these sections of society who have traditionally voted for either the Congress or the TDP.

Though Rajasekhara Reddy had no deputy chief minister, he won the backing of these groups by implementing a series of welfare schemes for them.

With Jagan Reddy inheriting the political legacy of his late father, and YSRCP replacing Congress as the main political force in the state, he is keen to consolidate his support among the SCs, STs, BCs, minorities and Kapus.

Kapus, who had traditionally voted Congress, also appear to have preferred the YSRCP over Jana Sena whose leader and film actor Pawan Kalyan is a Kapu. Jana Sena came a cropper with one Assembly seat.

In 2014, the Kapus had apparently backed the TDP-BJP combine after they promised reservations for the community. However, the TDP government could not implement its promise due to legal issues.

Political analyst Palwai Raghavendra Reddy believes that the new Chief Minister’s move to have five deputies is more of a symbolic gesture as the real power will concentrate his hands and those of the coterie around him.

“It is good optics. It is only to show to these communities that their representatives have been made deputy chief ministers,” he said.

“Power in regional parties across the country is centralised and YSRCP is no exception,” he added.

Can Jr Deverakonda Answer His Trolls?

Share

Whenever a new hero knocks the doors of Tollywood, there is this abundant criticism and trolling which seems inevitable. When the likes of Allu Arjun, Naga Chaitanya and other star kids made their debuts, this blasting from cinema lovers at peaks but eventually those heroes proved their worth and became successful stars.

Other day with the arrival of ‘Dorasani’ teaser, many focused their wit and pun on hero Anand Devarakonda who happens to be the brother of Vijay Devarakonda. While some made fun of his flat looks, some compared him with various cartoon characters. Some even went on commenting that he’s like Allu Sirish to Allu Arjun.

All said and done, trollers have a field day whenever something new occurs, but how Anand proves his mettle as an actor with his debut film, and how continues to carry on the success scored by his brother is what really matters.

There were many comments on the looks of Rajnikanth and Allu Arjun, but those heroes proved their worth and today millions of fans throng to theatres for them. Hope Anand understands this in case if he met his trollers on social media already.

First Look Pics Of Telangana Secretariat

Share

Few months back the Telangana government has shelved its plan for the construction of new secretariat at Bison Polo Grounds spread across 60 acres. As the Defence ministry is delaying the process of allocating the land to state government, the TRS government has lost all the hopes.

So KCR made a smart move by requesting the joint Governor of Telugu states, Narasimhan to handover the buildings owned by Andhra Pradesh government in Hyderabad to Telangana. In no time, AP government reacted followed by Governor’s approval. Now Telangana CM KCR is planning for the construction of new secretariat at old Andhra Pradesh assembly location. As per the government sources, very soon the foundation stone will be laid for the construction.

Recently KCR had finalised the designs of the new secretariat and they are going to be plush and as grand as a palace. The budget and others details of the secretariat will be finalised in the coming days. KCR wants the construction of secretariat to be wrapped up in less than 18 months and asked the concerned officials to come up with relative plan.

Can Pawan Repeat Dasari?

Share

The sensation that Dasari Narayana Rao had created and left an indelible mark – other than through his films – was his news paper Udayam. Founded in 1984 with Vijayawada as the headquarters, Udayam had created a sensation and had given jitters to its then competitors like Eenadu. Udayam had also given break to many journalists who are now senior editors in various media houses. Barely a month after its launch, Udayam had registered over 2.24 lakh copies circulation which was a great feat and stood at No.2 standing next to Eenadu.Â

However, Dasari, who was busy with movies, had to entrust responsibilities of Udayam to Congress leader and liquor baron late Magunta Subbarami Reddy. Subsequently, Udayam had posted huge financial losses later due to some political decisions like Liquor Ban by then government allegedly to help then leading daily Eenadu. Udayam had been shut down owing to its deep losses. Although Dasari had dreamed of revival of Udayam, it didn’t materialize.

Now that Pawan Kalyan is all set to launch his own paper, many from film industry and many from his community are hoping that Pawan would repeat Udayam’s magic created by Dasari. However, it is not that easy as unlike Dasari’s time, today there are news papers like Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi, Sakshi are doing quite well besides others.

Certainly, this is a major challenge for Pawan to eat into the market share of these leading vernaculars. If Pawan does it, definitely it will be a new benchmark in media fraternity. Let’s wait and watch.
