Rain disrupts YS Jagan’s swearing-in venue

Share

In few more hours, YS Jagan will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in Vijayawada at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium. Grand arrangements are being at the venue by YSRCP folks but rain played the spoil sport.

On Wednesday night, Vijayawada city witnessed rain with thunder storms and this made Indira Gandhi stadium drench in water. All the VVIP and VIP seats got rinsed in water and there is less time to clear these. This is poor planning by the YSRCP as they could not do adequate arrangements in case if it rains during the Jagan’s swearing ceremony.

Meanwhile, YSRCP supporters are reaching Indira Gandhi stadium in large number. The police have taken over Vijayawada city and high security is being arranged for guests. No heavy vehicle will allowed to the city the whole day today.

Hebah’s Kiss Comment: Hero Has No Idea

Share

Over time, few heroines make some controversial remarks in the name of ‘regrets’ and they sound pretty awkward as well as surprising. Recently heroine Hebah Patel has revealed that she regrets about kissing her co-star Raj Tarun in “Kumari 21F” movie. That coming from an actress who has done “24 Kisses” movie is a little confusing, but one wonders what Raj Tarun has to say about this.

Earlier, both Hebah and Raj Tarun have shot to super fame with Kumari 21 F where the heroine’s boldness and kisses became the talk of the town. And then there are rumours that they too have dated for a long time, before breaking up, due to unknown reasons. Recently during Raj Tarun’s online interaction with fans, someone posed a question regarding Hebah’s kiss comment. The hero replied, “I have no idea about it”.

On the other hand, intelligent Raj Tarun avoided to answer controversial and tricky questions and gave some harmless answers for the same. When asked about his favourite ‘dancer’ in the south, many expect him to say Allu Arjun or Jr NTR or Charan. But he has simply said, ‘Prabhudeva’, leaving no scope for trolling.

YS Jagan is not the youngest CM

Share

At 47 years, YS Jagan is set to be the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The fan base of Jagan and YSRCP claim that Jagan is the youngest CM and he is re-writing history. Well if we go by the facts, Jagan is not the youngest CM either in AP or India.

It was Prafulla Kumar Mahanata of Assam holds the record of being the youngest CM in the country. He took charge as CM at the age of 34 years. Then it was Arunachal Pradesh’s Pema Khandu who became CM at the age of 37 years. Then we have Akhilesh Yadav and Devender Fednavis who sworn-in as CMs at the year of 38 years and 44 years.

Coming to Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu took oath as CM when he was 45 years old. So this means Jagan is not the youngest CM of AP and Naidu still holds the record. Jagan is the second youngest CM and had YSRCP won in 2014, Jagan would have break the record of Naidu.

Buzz: Sudden Fame Got Into Heroine’s Head

Share

Ever since her debut film in Tollywood got to a huge hype, struggling model Payal Rajput has seen a new light in her career. And this actress who acted in some Punjabi and Tamil films became a sought after star in Tollywood.

At the moment Payal has three films in hand including that of Raviteja’s Disco Raja, Balayya-KS Ravikumar movie and another movie of debutant director Bhanuprakash. Reports are coming that actually, Payal is turning up quite late to the sets of this film being directed by a newcomer as they say that ‘sudden fame’ got into her head.

There is talk that even after arriving late to the sets, Payal gets busy on phone in her caravan and takes huge time to step out of it. Also, she’s said to be giving rude replies when the executive producer questioned about the delay. If there is even an iota of truth in these rumours, then surely Payal has to take care of the situation right now.

Many talented heroines have lost their careers big time due to arrogance and lack of discipline. Hope a talented and beautiful girl like Payal will not go that way.

TRS’ downfall has begun: Revanth to KTR

Share

Telangana Congress party working president and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy shot off a missive to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President, K.T. Rama Rao.

In an open letter addressed to the TRS Working President after winning the Malkajgiri seat, he said that the downfall of TRS has begun stating that the reduced majority in Siddipet and Sircilla are an indication of that. He observed that the majority for the TRS in the above Lok Sabha constituencies has dropped drastically. “The anti-TRS wave is slowly gaining ground in the state but the TRS leaders are not able to accept the fact,” he said.

He said that the TRS was living on the remnants of the past elections, held five years ago, when the results were in favour of the party and this shows the leaders are trying up to cover up facts by being over smart, he said. “It is your family members who faced defeat in Karimnagar and Nizamabad LS constituencies but you are citing lame excuses for it.”

In Siddipet constituency, where TRS leader Harish Rao has a good hold, the party witnessed a dip in terms of majority, Revanth Reddy said, adding that even in Sircilla, represented by K.T. Rama Rao, support to the party has taken a plunge.

Revanth Reddy, known for his vociferous anti-TRS stance, never left any opportunity to criticise the party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members. It is expected that his attacks on the ruling TRS may continue as he has been targeted several times by the pink party-run government.

First Look: Dorasani And Her Lover Impress

Share

Hero Rajasekhar’s daughter Sivathmika will be the first ever star kid to make her debut straight as a heroine when we look at the present generation Telugu star kids. And here comes her debut film “Dorasani” first look poster.

Featuring in the role of a big landlord (Dora)’s daughter in the 1980s Telangana region, “Dorasani” has Sivathmika playing the title role, while Vijay Devarakonda’s brother Anand Devarakonda plays the leading man, in the role of the son of a labourer. We have to say that first look speaks for the characters as Sivathmika suits the role quite well, while Anand looks like a perfect fit.

Newcomer director KV Mahendra who has earlier made a couple of short films that revolve around Telangana theme is crafting this violent love story. The director is said to have written the story for 5 years and 42 versions, before taking the film to the floor.

As the teaser of the film is set for June 6th release, we have to see how this vintage love story actually looks like as they have shot the most of the film in real locales in some old Telangana villages.

Kishan Reddy Got A Call From PMO!

Share

Secunderabad MP Kishan Reddy has received a call from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and he was asked to be in New Delhi in couple of hours. From the sources, Kishan Reddy will be inducted in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet and he will take oath today evening.

This is for the first time Kishan Reddy has won as MP and in his first attempt, he got central ministry post. The three time MLA, Kishan Reddy failed to retain his Amberpet constituency in the 2018 assembly polls and so he contested as MP.

Kishan Reddy has worked as Telangana BJP chief and Floor leader of the party in Andhra Pradesh assembly. He maintains cordial relations with Narendra Modi and so the BJP leadership preferred Kishan Reddy out of the four MPs who won from Telangana.

Pic Talk: She’s Trying Her Best To Be Hot

Share

The hotter you pose on social media pages, the more attention you get- that is the mantra many heroines follow these days. Many heroines have joined this bandwagon so far and now Pragya Jaiswal is testing the waters.

From a time, this Kanche girl is not being seen in Telugu films as not much offers are coming her way. Taking to social media today, Pragya shared a picture where she’s wearing a translucent top over a pink bikini. And this see through act is not so hotter as she expected, but the actress has felt that despite being super hot outside, she can’t resist posing.

Well, only hot poses are not enough to get films but some sort of hard work and networking along with other PR activities. Though Pragya is a bright talent, somehow few disastrous films have affected her career. Hope this hotness revives it.

YS Jagan Follows NTR: To take Rs. 1 salary

Share

Surprising everyone with his moves even before taking oath as the Chief Minister, YSR Congress President Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy has now announced that he will be taking Rs. 1 as his salary as against the usual remuneration and alliances as CM is entitled to. According to sources, Jagan is said to have taken the decision as the state is undergoing financial crisis and he doesn’t want to be a burden to the state.

The current salary of a Chief Minister is around Rs. 2.5 lakh. However, the total salary comes up to Rs. 4.5 to 5 lakh including allowances and other benefits. Rejecting such benefits and the finances from the state government to be paid to him, Jagan is setting an example, his party cadre believes.

It can be recalled that the only other Chief Minister who took Rs. 1 as his salary was Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao when he served as the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh. By following NTR’s example, Jagan has not only politically gained brownie points but also is winning people’s appreciation as the incoming CM.

With surprises of secularism on one side by visiting temple, Dargah and Church yesterday and other positive announcements expected from the new Chief Minister today, can the people of Andhra Pradesh expect Jaganmohan Reddy to take the state further on the growth path? We are yet to see it. But, looks like his Rs. 1 salary move has been welcomed by one and all.

CM Garu! Your Age Is Small, But Responsibility Is Big -KCR

Share

One of the most sensational invites to Ys Jagan’s swearing-in ceremony is none other than Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Especially many are looking forward to how KCR will be taking jibes at former CM or former government. Surprisingly, his speech is quite simple and clear, rather than satirical.

“CM garu, your age is small but your responsibility is big. As a young Chief Minister you have got a lot do for your state. The hereditary you got from your father and the energy you have will surely make AP state progress in a more prosperous direction in a big way” said KCR, welcoming Jagan’s new role as AP CM.

Furthermore, KCR added, “Two states Telugu people should not fight, but hug each other and help each other. We have to derive results. The daunting task before Jagan is to make sure that you use every single drop of Godavari river, and then sort out our issues over Krishna river as well. We will use the waters to the fullest and prosper well”

“Not just one term, I wish Jagan will rule AP for 3-4 terms” articulated KCR, as he retires from the speech.

‘Nenu Vunnanu’ Says Jagan; Puts First Sign On Pension Scheme

“Me kashtalu choosanu. Me kashtalu vinnanu. Me andariki Nenu vunnanu”, said YS Jagan to a roaring crowd, as he gives his maiden speech as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

“Haven’t included pages for each caste in the manifesto, haven’t included unwanted stuff to just lure people. Our manifesto is just two pages and people will remember it forever” said YS Jagan, on the greatness of his party’s manifesto, which led them to victory today. “I consider every single word in my manifesto as a Quran, Bible and Bhagavadgita” he adds.

Like he promised in his manifesto that the pension that will be given to senior citizens will be raised from 1000 rupees to 3000 rupees. “This will be the YSR Pension Scheme and those senior citizens will get 2250 rupees from June month as their pension,” says Jagan, as he made his first sign ever as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan added that he will be increasing the pension from Rs 2250 to 3000 over the next five years. Formerly this pension scheme is called ‘NTR Bharosa Scheme’ in Chandrababu Naidu led TDP’s ruling.

Can BJP Replace TDP In Andhra?

Share

The landslide victory registered by YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh by winning 151 out of 175 Assembly seats and 22 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats has scripted a new history in the state politics.

The TDP has virtually been decimated in the elections, getting restricted to 23 assembly and three Lok Sabha seats. This has led to the talk that the TDP might get disintegrated soon and reduced to an insignificant political force in the state, leaving a huge political vacuum in the state by 2024.

Soon after the election results, Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesman and Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao said the TDP would fade away in the state politics gradually and the BJP would emerge as an alternative political force in the state.

Many other analysts also expressed a similar opinion saying since TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is getting old, he might not have the patience and energy to revive the party and bring back its lost glory by 2024.

Jana Sena has wasted its chance to fill the vacuum due to Pawan Kalyan’s inexperience and inconsistent political stand. So, BJP has a chance to grow as an alternative in the state.

But, this looks a very far-fetched thinking. One cannot underestimate the TDP and rule out its chances of bouncing back for the simple reason that it has a very strong cadre base and still has its own vote bank.

In the recent elections, it has got a vote share of 39.18% against the YSRCP’s 49.5%.

On the other hand, the BJP could get only 0.95 per cent of vote share, which is lesser than the percentage of votes polled under NOTA (1.5 per cent). In fact, the Congress got a better vote share (1.29 per cent).

Even in the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP could get only 0.84 per cent of votes. Despite Modi wave sweeping across the country, it could not touch Andhra, where YSRC won 22 Lok Sabha seats.

It clearly showed that the people of Andhra have rejected the BJP outright and the TDP is still the only option for YSR.

The BJP leadership is hoping that it can attract second-rung leaders of the TDP, thereby weakening the latter.

But this is also far-fetched thinking, as the disgruntled TDP leaders would prefer going to YSRC, if at all they want to defect, or stay back in the TDP to wait for their chance.

Beginning of a new era in Andhra Pradesh

Share

A new era is beginning in Andhra Pradesh politics on Thursday, with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy swearing-in as the new chief minister at Indira Gandhi municipal stadium at 12.23 pm.

It is also a day of new hope for the people of Andhra Pradesh, who gave him an overwhelming mandate — 151 out of 175 assembly seats – to rule the state for the next five years.

They gave vent to their frustration against the inefficient rule of the Telugu Desam Party headed by N Chandrababu Naidu by giving it just 23 seats.

When Naidu assumed the chief minister’s chair in 1995, he was just over 45 years. Though he had come to power by dethroning his father-in-law N T Rama Rao in a midnight coup, Naidu already had vast administrative experience of over 17 years by then – being a minister twice and holding top positions in the party.

So, when he became the chief minister, he was brimming with new ideas – right from pioneering growth of information technology to taking the administration to the doorstep of the common man with programmes like Sramadanam, Prajala Vaddaku Palana and Janma Bhoomi etc.

Now Jagan, who has just 46, has no prior administrative experience but he also has abundant fresh and innovative ideas.

Having observed the government of Naidu from close quarters as the leader of opposition, Jagan knows what to do and what not to win over the confidence of people.

Moreover, Jagan also seen and felt the miseries of the people during his marathon 3,600-km long padayatra and will definitely keep in mind their problems while ruling the state.

The fact that he is bringing in officials who had worked with his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy to work with him indicates that he is going to learn from their experiences with regard to YSR’s style of administration.

Compared to Naidu, Jagan has tremendous energy, patience and also the most important quality to learn from mistakes.

So, people are naturally expecting him to deliver a better governance in the coming days!
