South industry will help me grow: Sunny Leone

Actress Sunny Leone, who is foraying into the southern film industry with movies like “Rangeela” and “Veeramadevi”, believes it will help her grow.

“Nothing is tough when you enjoy doing it or are passionate about the same. South industry will definitely help me grow,” Sunny told IANS.

“Being able to learn about a new culture is something that I like and enjoy a lot,” added the actress.

On the Bollywood front, the 38-year-old has been roped in for a horror-comedy called “Coca Cola”.

She says there’s room for all genres.

“Today, content sells and if it’s good, people will bite into it. So, there is room for every genre and an audience for the same.

Bellamkonda Srinivas’s market has been going downhill with each film. His previous two films Saakshyam and Kavacham were huge disasters and now Sita is turning out to be the biggest flop of all.

Directed by Teja, who delivered a hit with his previous film Nene Raju Nene Mantri failed to deliver the goods with this half baked drama.

Sita looked promising from the outset, but strangely it couldn’t even register decent openings on its day 1.

After a below par first day, Sita collections remained on the lower side, thus making it one of the weakest opening movies in Bellamkonda Srinivas’s career.

His films usually draw good attendance in initial days, but Sita is a total washout from the word go. Buyers are staring at fifty to seventy percent losses in all areas.

As Bellamkonda Srinivas’s market crashing further with each film, it would become tough for his upcoming movies to find takers.

He has Rakshasudu coming up, a thriller based on serial killings. Ratsasan, its original was a good hit in Tamil.

Can Bellamkonda fetch that much needed hit with it?

In a section of media, it was said that Sai Pallavi made director Selva Raghavan to cut the scenes of Rakul Preet Singh in the upcoming movie ‘NGK’ in which they acted as Suriya’s female leads. But Rakul Preet Singh tells different scene.

According to her, Sai Pallavi is sweet girl, never involves in other star’s work.

“I had shared only two scenes in the film. We have gelled well. She is very friendly. I have lengthy role. All the talk is rumors,” Rakul told the media.

The first statement of AP CM designate YS Jagan Mohan Reddy about ‘big land scam’ in Amaravathi during TDP regime, which will be probed by YSRCP government has led to ‘real estate crash’ in Amaravathi.

Jagan’s statement turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Telangana State, as it fuelled ‘real estate boom’ in Hyderabad.

Seemandhra investors or people in Hyderabad preferred to invest in Amaravathi real estate all these years with a hope that it would fetch huge returns in future.

However, with TDP wiped out in recent Assembly polls and YSRCP gaining power with a thunderous majority, has changed the real estate scenario in AP all of a sudden.

With Jagan terming AP’s new capital Amaravathi as a ‘big land scam’ and that his government will expose the scam over how TDP leaders benefitted out of Amaravathi ‘land pooling’ scheme by ordering suitable inquiry, uncertainty gripped over the future of Amaravathi.

With this, investors are shying away from making investments in Amaravathi as they fear whether Amaravathi will remain as capital or not.

Instead, they are preferring to invest in Hyderabad and surrounding districts in Telangana.

With this, land prices around Hyderabad are skyrocketing all of a sudden.

Hyderabad witnessed realty boom during late CM YSR’s regime between 2004 and 2009 as many Seemandhra investors invested in Hyderabad realty.

However, after YSR’s death in 2009 and subsequent Telangana statehood agitation between 2009 and 2013, the realty prices crashed in Hyderabad.

With the return of YSR’s son Jagan as CM of AP, the Hyderabad is once again witnessing realty boom.

The Telangana government is happy at this development as it will get richer due to increased income on account of land registrations.

NGK starring Tamil star Suriya is releasing on this Friday in Telugu states and in Tamil as well. It is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Selva Raghavan.

It has popular stars like Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh playing the female leads.

NGK (Nanda Gopala Krishna) is a political drama set in current times with Suriya essaying an intense character.

Despite the big names associated to it, NGK failed to create any buzz prior to its release. Not just in Telugu states, the situation is similar in Tamilnadu too.

It has been a while since a Suriya starrer clicked at the box office. Looks like, it is taking a toll on NGK, which is facing stiff competition from multiple releases.

Falaknuma Das, Abhinetry 2 and the new Godzilla film will make it tough for NGK at the ticket windows. Pre sales and advance bookings are almost negligible with the film just a day away from hitting the screens.

Suriya and team NGK are doing their best to keep it in news. It will heavily rely upon the word of mouth from first day first shows and reviews to register decent footfalls in its first weekend.

Empty ‘treasury’ welcomes CM Jagan!

Soon after taking oath as new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh today, Jagan requires Rs 5,000 crore to run the government.

Shockingly, the AP government’s treasury now has reserves of just Rs 100 crore. This shocking news was conveyed to Jagan by the finance department officials before taking the oath.

The government needs to pay salaries and pensions for state government employees on June 1 besides payment of social security pensions for poor in the first week of June.

Jagan has no option left but to go for ‘overdraft’ and mobilise funds from RBI.

During his final days as CM in April, Chandrababu Naidu resorted to indiscriminate wastage of public money with a view to buy votes from beneficiaries of welfare schemes.

Naidu announced new schemes every day left, right and centre, like Pasupu kumkuma, Annadhata Sukhibhava etc and deposited thousands of crores of rupees in the bank accounts of beneficiaries.

While this splurging of money did not fetch any votes for Naidu, it made the treasury empty now.

The AP government was eligible to avail Rs 5,000 crore loan from RBI by auctioning security bonds for the period April to June.

Even in this, Naidu already secured Rs 4,000 crore loan in April and May and distributed to beneficiaries of pasupu kumkuma, annadhata sukhibhava schemes etc.

Jagan can now take just Rs 1,000 crore loan from RBI, that too after mid-June as RBI will not allow back-to-back loans within a gap of few days.

Poor Jagan, has made several promises to win elections. This requires huge money to implement.

But the present financial condition of AP government is so worse that it is not in a position to pay even salaries for staff on June 1, if it fails to take loans from RBI or banks or other financial institutions.

The joy of becoming CM will not last for Jagan even for one day as employees will protest if he fails to pay salaries on June 1.

Sarileru Neekevvaru Fixed for SSMB26!

‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is the title that has been doing rounds for Mahesh Babu’s new movie from longtime.

It was GA.com that broke the news that Anil Ravipudi has fixed this title but he went back foot on this title when fans asked to change it.

As Mahesh Babu is scoring hits with three lettered single Telugu word titles, the fans have conveyed their feelings to the director to look for a catchy one like “Pokiri” and “Maharshi”.

Although the producers have already registered “Sarileru Neekevvaru”, they are not going to announce at this moment. The film will be formally launched tomorrow on the occasion of Superstar Krishna’s birthday.

Anil Sunkara will be the main producer but Dil Raju and Mahesh Babu’s banners will also feature as co-producers.

Rain god favours YSR family again!

Andhra Pradesh, which used to witness continuous drought due to lack of adequate rains during the Chandrababu Naidu regime during his earlier stint between 1999 and 2004, started receiving good rains soon after late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy took over as the chief minister in May 2004.

YSR used to say then that “Varunudu Paa Vaipe Unnadu” (Rain god is on our side). Thanks to copious rains and flowing tanks, YSR could successfully implement the free-of-cost power supply to agriculture sector for seven hours.

Now, the history seems to have repeated in Andhra Pradesh.

The state which was reeling under severe heat wave conditions for the last few days received heavy rains accompanied by strong winds in several parts on Wednesday, a day before YSR’s son and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy took over as the chief minister.

The heavy rains provided much-needed relief to the people of Vijayawada from sweltering heat and lowered temperatures considerably.

Though the rains badly hit the preparations at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, the venue of the swearing in, the officials quickly swung into action and got the stadium ready.

Now, it’s time for Jagan to repeat his father’s words: “Rain god is on our side” and blessed the people with Rajanna Rajyam in the coming days!

The one person who is celebrating Chandrababu Naidu’s defeat most after YS Jagan is none other than Ram Gopal Varma. RGV said he will have a special screening of Lakshmi’s NTR to CM YS Jagan. He said he will showcase the movie to YS Jagan after his swearing-in ceremony and said he will take his feedback.

YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s elder daughter Varsha Reddy, who is studying at the prestigious London School of Economics, has now flown back to Hyderabad in order to attend her father’s swearing-in ceremony, on May 30. The massive and leading win of Jagan is leaving his family members and party colleagues in a celebration mood.

After hearing her father’s win, Varsha Reddy sent wishes to Jagan. The next day, she also went on to offer prayers at London Church. Varsha is a merit student and managing to get a seat in one of the top colleges in London is no joke.

It is reported that Jagan’s victory has made his daughter overwhelmed and she reportedly cannot wait to meet his father. The YSRCP stormed to power by grabbing 151 seats in State assembly. The party is the fourth largest party in the LS with 22 seats Parliamentary seats.

Reasons behind Chandrababu skipping Jagan’s event

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Vijayawada scheduled tomorrow. Instead Naidu will be sending three TDP leaders as a representation and even they won’t meet Jagan at the swearing ceremony. They will greet Jagan at his residence in Tadepalli and hand over a congratulatory message signed by Naidu.

But why is Chandrababu not attending the event? Are there any specific reasons and who advised him to stay away? Well, TDP leaders are the ones who have asked Naidu to skip the ceremony. According to the TDP leaders, the CM swearing ceremony was supposed to take place in Raj Bhavan which is Governor’s official bungalow. The capital Amaravati lacks Raj Bhavan and taking oath in Hyderabad is not appropriate as per YSRCP. Moreover the ‘FAN’ party has made arrangements at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium like a party event in unprecedented way.

As per the TDP leaders suggest Chandrababu gave a second thought and decided to give it a miss. In the TDLP meeting Chandrababu informed the leaders to be watchful of the new government and then react on their governance.
