Ram Charan’s First Response On Pawan’s Defeat

Share

In the wake of mega heroes like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Varun Tej openly endorsing Janasena Party in the recent times, many are looking forward how they will be responding on Pawan Kalyan’s shocking defeat in the election. And here comes Ram Charan’s reaction on that.

“Great Leaders don’t set out to be a leader, they set out to make a difference!! It’s never about the ROLE. It’s all about the GOAL!!!” says Ram Charan as he thanked each of our supporters for their unconditional service towards Pawan and Janasena party. And his message is surely giving a bit of solace to mega fans and Pawan Kalyan’s ardent supporters.

However, had Ram Charan come into campaigning to promote his babai and his party in some places, the Janasenani would have become a bit of relaxed. That 1500 votes difference in Bhimavaram would have easily covered up pushing Pawan into the assembly.

Six Pack Abs To Match Nani’s Calibre!

Share

Upcoming film ‘V’ has not only pretty interesting casting, but that will Natural Star Nani’s second big multi-starrer after DevaDas. It features Sudheer Babu in the leading role as a protagonist while Nani will play a grey shaded character. Here is an interesting snippet.

With Nani in place, surely Sudheer Babu has to work quite harder to match the Natural Star’s acting prowess. And for that, Sudheer has taken the first step, by pouring his hard work into his body. As he pumped iron for 25 days under specialist eyes, the actor lost oodles of weight. More than that, he has achieved a six pack body that could stun you.

Earlier we have stars like Allu Arjun and Ram Charan impressing with their six pack abs and then the likes of Nitin and Ram Pothineni followed the suit. We have to see how Sudheer babu is going to make the best use of his body on the screen. That said, expect shirtless scenes folks.

Directed by Indraganti Mohanakrishna, V features Nani and Sudheer in the lead roles, while Aditi Rao Hydari and Nivetha Thomas are the leading ladies. Dil Raju is bankrolling this project.

Karthi’s next movie is the long-awaited ‘Kaithi’. This film has his ardent fans in awaited mode and the teaser of the film will be unveiled on May 30th. The news has been officially announced by producers Dream Warrior Pictures under Vivekananda banners. The latest look of Karthi from the film has been releaed and the actor looks intense, potent and invasive.

Directing by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film is said to be exceptional as there are no leading female characters. Actors like Karthi, Narain, George Mariyan, Ramana, Dheena, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Mahanadhi Shankar and Yogi Babu will be playing pivotal roles.

The music will be composed by Sam CS and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan. Kaithi film is already generating an enormous amount of hopes and expectations as the director Lokesh has earned his positive place in the Tamil industry with a beautiful thriller called Maanagarm, starring Sundeep Kishan. His story-telling has been appreciated and moreover, he is also doing a film with Vijay (‘Thalapathy 64’) in the coming days.

Kaithi is an action entertainer and it is all about events happening over four hours. This film is slated for a release in July.

YSR Congress polls nearly 50 per cent votes

Share

Amaravati: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which swept to power in Andhra Pradesh, polled nearly 50 percent votes in Andhra Pradesh, Election Commission data shows.

YSRCP, which bagged 151 seats in the 175-member Assembly, polled 49.95 per cent of votes (1,56,83,592). Its share was 10 per cent more than the votes polled by the dethroned Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which got 23 seats. TDP secured 39.18 per cent votes (1,23,01,741).

Actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena, which had a disastrous electoral debut winning just a single seat, polled 6.8 per cent votes (21,30,367). Its allies BSP, CPI and CPI-M got less than one per cent votes.

In 2014, the vote percentage difference between TDP-BJP combine and YSRCP was a mere 2.21 per cent. The TDP-BJP had polled 46.79 percent votes (TDP 44.61 per cent, BJP 2.18 per cent) and bagged 106 seats (TDP 102 and BJP 4) while YSRCP had secured 67 seats with 44.58 per cent votes.

This time the BJP went alone and polled a mere 0.84 per cent votes, drawing a blank.

The voting trend was not much different in the Lok Sabha polls.

YSRCP, which won 22 of the 25 parliamentary seats, polled 49.15 per cent votes (1,55,25,602). TDP secured 39.59 per cent (1,25,07,277) and bagged only three seats.

Jana Sena had a poll share of 7.03 per cent (22,19,573).

According to the EC, 1.28 per cent voters in Assembly polls and 1.49 per cent in the Lok Sabha battle exercised NOTA (none of the above) option.

KCR pays ‘heavy price’ for ignoring Harish!

Share

No one can suppress genuine talent on this earth and KCR seems to have learnt this in a hard way.

The shocking results TRS got in Lok Sabha polls clearly indicate that TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao indeed paid a heavy price for ignoring a mass, sincere and committed leader like T Harish Rao for the sake of his son KTR, daughter Kavitha and nephew Santhosh.

Harish once again proved his mettle by ensuring landslide majority for TRS Lok Sabha candidate from Medak.

Harish was given the responsibility of only Medak seat this time. Harish represent Siddipet Assembly seat which falls under Medak Lok Sabha limits.

Though KCR did it to sideline Harish to project his son KTR as a ‘state level’ leader as working president, he failed to deliver results for TRS.

Harish worked day and night to ensure the defeat of Revanth Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in recent Assembly polls.

But all his efforts have gone waste as both made it to Parliament this time with the failure of KTR as working president to execute a perfect strategy for the defeat of Revanth and Komatireddy.

KTR’s another biggest disaster as working president is he failed to ensure victory even for hisr sister Kavitha in Nizamabad.

KTR and Santhosh, who represent Karimnagar district, fail to ensure victory even for TRS Karimnagar Lok Sabha candidate B Vinod Kumar, who himself is a very senior leader.

The Lok Sabha results proved beyond doubt that no one can replace Harish in TRS when it comes to delivering expected results.

Its high time KCR realises this and give Harish his due importance and credit in TRS before it’s too late to take corrective measures.

Sita Review: Boring Ramayana

Share

After the success of “Nene Raju Nene Mantri”, director Teja is back in league. His latest movie “Sita” starring Bellamkonda Srinivas and Kajal Aggarwal has created good buzz thanks to its trailer.

Let’s analyze.

Story:
Sita (Kajal Aggarwal) is a business woman and is highly-money minded. When she lands in trouble over a property, she seeks the help of a local MLA Basavaraju (Sonu Sood). He helps her and in return seeks favour from her, to be his love partner for a month.

She denies and he starts creating obstacles to her financially and to her business. Suddenly, her father dies and he leaves his money which amounts to thousands of crores to Ram. She can only get that money if she marries him.

Sita now heads to Bhutan where Ram (Bellamkonda Sai) lives in a Buddhist monastery. He looks dimwit but is highly intelligent. Their journey begins.

What happens next is anybody’s guess.

Artistes’ Performances:
The film primarily revolves around Kajal Aggarwal. Her characterization of Sita is what makes the movie different from the regular stories. Kajal Aggarwal as money-minded woman has pulled it off with ease.

Bellamkonda Srinivas has played innocent guy’s role but he doesn’t have enough talent to pull this off. He is just okay. Sonu Sood has played typical villain’s role.

Bittiri Satti’s comedy generates some laughs. Tanikella as sidekick is okay.

Technical Excellence:
The first half of the film is narrated like a road journey and the cinematography is excellent here. Sirsha has captured the locations of ‘Bhutan episodes’ beautifully.

Music is mixed bag – only two songs are catchy. Dialogues are huge plus point. Editing is bad, the length is inexcusable.

Highlights:
Sonu Sodd and Tanikalla episodes

Drawback:
Never-ending second half
Illogical sequences
Predictable climax

Analysis
Unlike his regular style, director Teja has begun the story in a very interesting manner as the plot point looks quite different. He presents the character of Kajal Aggarwal as someone who is ruthless, money-minded and bold. In contrary her name is Sita.

She accepting to be lover to Sonu Sood for one month and later conning is quite a departure from the heroine’s characterizations of Telugu movies.

Such characterization is generally reserved for male protagonist but Teja has switched the genders and presented it in different way with lot of entertainment. There is not a single dull-moment in the first hour.

When everything is going smooth, director Teja applies breaks and starts narrating in his usual style. All the novelty factor suddenly goes off.

Forget worrying about novelty, even the normal proceedings have completely gone wrong from here. By interval, it is clear that Teja’s ‘new material’ is over.

The second half goes in predictable manner. The twists and turns put off. Ram aka Bellamkonda is introduced as a guy who is brought up in a monastery completely cut off from the real world.

He also has physical and mental issues, he can’t bear ‘yelling’, he gets palpitations if he doesn’t drink tea by 10.30 am morning. He has never stepped outside.

But the moment, he starts journey with Kajal Aggarwal, he knows how to talk with a police officer, how to beat people and do all the action stunts.

He even argues for Kajal Aggarwal in a court case when she’s facing cheque bounce charges. When did he learn law? He studied law book while sitting a lawyer’s office for one hour.

He has such an amazing grasping power that he can learn 26 languages, he can count 97 pins in seconds and a law book in an hour. This court drama turns silly and illogical.

The second half is typical Teja’s movie and with never-ending climax. All the good moments that it offered in the beginning go waste.

The plus points of the movie are the early sequences, Bittiri Satti’s comedy, and some entertaining dialogues. To an extent, Sonu Sood’s characterization is also fun. But, in the end, it becomes a tiresome watch.

Bottom-line: Never Ending Saga

Got Only 5 Votes from 9 of his Family, Punjab candidate cries

Share

The election results has upset many big names and political parties. This time the people of the country have rejected the dynasty politics too. In Punjab a candidate has received a major shock and it was none other than his own family members who did not vote for him.

The candidate is identified as Neetu Shuttern Wala, who contested as an independent from Jalandhar. There are a total of nine in his family and shockingly Neetu received just five votes and lost deposit. When asked about his reaction on it, Neetu had tears in his eyes.

Neetu blamed his family members and EVMs for his defeat. The video of Neetu breaking down before the media is going viral in the social media.

However, this was during the initial rounds of counting. Neetu’s vote figures went up in the next rounds of counting. Finally he ended up getting 856 votes which was not enough for winning.

Pic Talk: Modi, Amit Shah meet LK Advani

Share

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah met veteran BJP leader LK Advani at his residence in New Delhi. Modi and Shah briefed Advani about the election results. Then he took to his Twitter handle and hailed Advani for his efforts in building BJP for decades. Then Modi and Shah met senior leader Murali Manohar Joshi.

In this elections, the BJP has snubbed Advani and MM Joshi. Amit Shah contested from Gandhi Nagar which was Advani’s fort. He won with a majority of five lakhs which is a record.

After getting snubbed, LK Advani wrote in his blog that politics are fast changing and are becoming more commercial these days. But Advani did not mention any name although many thought he took pot shots at Modi and Shah who are dominant in BJP.

The Three Heroes of TDP

Share

The three heroes of TDP are Kesineni Nani (Vijayawada), Ram Mohan Naidu (Srikakulam) and Galla Jayadev (Guntur) won for parliament constituencies on TDP. They are real heroes in fight against the centre in Special Category Status. It can be recalled that it was the trio who strongly voiced for the cause of Special Category Status and the gross injustice meted out to AP in the house of parliament. Nani, Ram Mohan Naidu and Jayadev had all spoken against Narendra Modi and dared Modi. They had taken up the fight against the centre strongly and this seems to have won people’s hearts.

Despite a strong YSRCP wave, Kesineni Nani, Ram Mohan Naidu and Galla Jayadev managed to win in parliament seats. While majority of the Assembly constituencies under these parliament segments were bagged by YCP, the winning of Nani, Ram Mohan and Jayadev is possible only with huge cross-voting. Hence, the victory of these three TDP MPs in this tough time is a phenomenal achievement.

All thanks to the “cross-voting”, while YCP has won in 151 seats, TDP is limited to 23 seats whereas Janasena won in single seat.

Why This Election Is Bad For Dynasties?

Share

For the second time in a row, the Narendra Modi – Amit Shah duo chased a remarkable victory for Bharatiya Janata Party. While the BJP wave has crushed Gandhi’s dynasty in Amethi, the election didn’t allow many political scions, across the nation, to register a victory.

In a very first place, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s son and president of Congress party – Rahul Gandhi faced a defeat in Amethi. BJP’s Smriti Irani has emerged victorious with a decent margin. In another instance, Vaibhav Gehlot, son of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot (Congress) too lost the battle to BJP leader Gajendra Shekhawat.

Madhya Pradesh leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, son of Madhavrao Scindia, too lost the election from Guna Constituency, Madhya Pradesh. The LS segment has been a stronghold of Scindia’s family since 1970’s. Jyotiraditya lost the battle by more than one lakh votes. Milind Murli Deora, son of Murli Deora, too lost from Mumbai South. Deora was defeated by a huge margin, though he was openly endorsed by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani.

While Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule won with a handsome majority, Parth Pawar – son of Ajith Pawar (nephew of Sharad Pawar and former deputy CM of Maharashtra) got crashed from Maval LS segment. Coming to Karnataka, CM HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Gowda was defeated by Independent candidate and yesteryear film actress Sumalatha in Mandya. Even Deve Gowda got defeated in Tumkur constituency by 13,000 votes.

Coming to Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu son and TDP’s Nara Lokesh was defeated by YCP in Mangalagiri assembly segment. Other political scions who faced a huge disappointment include Devineni Nehru’s son Devineni Avinash (Gudiwada), Paritala Ravi’s son Paritala Sriram (Raptadu) and Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s daughter Bhuma Akhila Priya (Allagadda). In Telangana, KCR faced an embarrassment as his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha was defeated by BJP’s Arvind Dharmapuri.

However, former CM and late Rajasekhar Reddy son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP emerged as the biggest gainer in the polls and is set to form the government soon. In fact, it is the first time in AP history that a former CM’s son is taking oath as Chief Minister.

Five Heroines And Here Is How Their Election Fared

Share

Cinema celebs contesting in elections is not a new thing and even this time there are several people who did that. While the likes of Pawan Kalyan lost the election, Nandamuri Balakrishna has won in Andhra Pradesh.

If we look at popular heroines of the country, there are five notable names, none other than Hema Malini, Jayaprada, Sumalatha, Urmila and Roja.

Contesting on BJP ticket for the second time, Hema Malini kept her MP seat as she won from Mathura. Then we have Jayaprada aka Jayaprada Nahata who has contested on BJP ticket against her former mentor Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan and lost the election.

As an independent candidate in Mandya Loksabha segment in Karnataka, former heroine Sumalatha won big time. Her husband Ambareesh death led to the massive sympathy wave blowing towards her side.

And the next generation heroine Urmila Matondkar has lost big time as she contested from Mumbai North as MP on Congress ticket. In the BJP (read NDA) wave that happened in Maharashtra, it’s not that easy for the Rangeela girl.

In Andhra Pradesh we have Roja winning Nagari quite comfortably and going to assembly yet again on YSR Congress ticket, and this time she steps in as a member of a party in power. Also, she’s likely to get a ministry as well.

While NTR Was No.2, Jagan Is At No.3 or 4

Share

Do you know, the number seats won by YS Jagan led YSR Congress in the 2019 general election are a sort of record as the party positioned itself at No.3 in the whole of the country. Yes, Jagan and his men have created all sorts of records, but they have missed out beating NTR’s record.

In the 1983 general election, NT Rama Rao led Telugudesam party won 30 Lok Sabha seats and became the main opposition in the country as Congress made a wave by winning 404 seats. And TDP is the No.2 party in the country when it comes to winning the most number of MPs.

Now in 2019, Jagan’s YSRC has clearly won in 22 seats and it is leading in two more. In case if it wins 24 seats, then the party is going to be No.3 party in India after BJP and Congress. And if it wins 22, then DMK is likely to snatch the 3rd position as it won 23 seats, thereby pushing Jagan’s party to 4th place.

Anyway, two South parties are the No 3 and No 4 after BJP and Congress in India. That’s a good sign for sure.
