Will Ram Charan’s Expectations On ABCD Come True?

Share

In a couple of days, mega hero Allu Sirish is testing luck yet again with his ABCD movie, which happens to be the remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. The original featured Dulquer Salman in the lead of an Indian boy raised in the USA, and whose father sent him to India to learn the value of money.

Guess what, this film has a Ram Charan connection we have to say. Apparently, Charan is the one who has seen this film first and then immediately he has called up Allu Sirish to look at it. And then Charan is said to have advised Sirish to remake the film as he felt that none other than his Allu cousin could do that role better.

In that way, Charan has first had huge expectations on ABCD Telugu version with Sirish in the lead, and how the film fares in Telugu will surely surprise him. Directed by newcomer Sanjeev Reddy, ABCD got attention through the release trailer which happens to be a laugh riot.

However, with Maharshi occupying most of the theatres and running with a good talk, one wonders if Sirish could burst into the box office easily.

The aspiring politician is “more than 100 per cent confident of his win” even if BJP President Amit Shah contests against him.

Sharma is the only independent in the top five richest candidates in the Lok Sabha battle. The other four are from the Congress.

Will die but won’t insult Modi’s parents: Rahul Gandhi

Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that he would prefer to die than insult Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parents. Gandhi was addressing an election meeting in Ujjain in the context of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacking his father and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi for corruption and calling him ‘Bhrashtrachari No. 1′.

Gandhi said that he does not hate anyone. “But Narendra Modi ji insults my father. He speaks about my grandmother and grandfather. I will never speak about Modi’s family and parents. I will die but will never insult Modiji’s parents because I am not an RSS man. I am a Congressman,” said Rahul Gandhi. He addressed two more meetings in Neemuch and Khandwa districts, all in Malwa-Nimad region goes to polls on May 19 in the final phase.

Modi was in Madhya Pradesh to address an election meeting at Ratlam in the region. Gandhi said, “Modi ji does not talk about farmers’ suicide, unemployment and corruption but in his interviews he tells how he eats mango, how he peels mango and how did he cut the sleeves of his kurta to save space in his bag.”

Ridiculing the Prime Minister’s recent statement in an interview with a TV news channel that clouds helped Air Force’s fighter planes avoid radars in Pakistan during Balakot air strike, the Congress president asked, “when there is storm and rain in India, do all the planes disappear from radar?”

Referring to the police firing on farmers in Mandsaur in 2017 which had left 5 farmers dead, Gandhi said the Prime Minister did not say anything when the police opened fire at farmers. He said that he had kept his promise to farmers and waived off their loans but wondered why Modiji was saying that the loans were not waived. “Even the loans of Niranjan Singh and Rohit Singh, belonging to former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s family were waived.”

Gandhi said no farmer would go to jail for non-payment of their loans after the Congress was voted to power. “There would be two budgets, including one for farmers.” Regarding the Congress’ promise on NYAY scheme to give Rs. 72,000 annually to 50 million poor families, he reiterated his charges on the PM with regard to Rafale deal.

He said once Congress was voted to power, money would be taken away from the pockets of Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi and Anil Ambani and would be given to the poor. State BJP vice-president Vijesh Lunawat said, ” Rahul Gandhi fearing rout in 2019 elections and that is why targeting the PM Modi in his election speeches. He is trying to save his chair and position in the Congress.”

Stalin is not Jagan, Mr. KCR: Vijayasanthi

Share

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chairperson Vijayasanthi trolled Chief Minister and TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to play cheap tricks in the name of Federal Front in her Facebook post. She posted a long comment on her social media account on the consequences of KCR and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief Stalin meeting each other regarding aligning for the Federal Front. She said that curtains are down on KCR’s drama of Federal Front, which he claims it would be an alternative to the Congress.

“With the response given by Stalin, KCR is now in a state of shock. He tried to play a prominent role in national politics by making false statements just as he did with respect to formation of separate Telangana. Now, KCR’s mask of Federal Front is off. People who spoke of Sir, car (election symbol of TRS) and sircar (government) are now cursing the fate over changed situations,” she posted, adding that KCR was claiming credit for separate Telangana while it was the Congress which accorded separate statehood to Telangana.

“Rao tried to cheat Stalin just as he did with Jagan with all his abilities but had been a failure. Stalin had seen many such fraudsters like KCR during his father and DMK Karunanidhi’s chief ministership and so did not fall into the TRS chief’s trap. Finally, Stalin told KCR that his party would continue in the Congress-led UPA government but not join the Federal Front. Stalin put a check to KCR’s cheap tricks,” she said, mocking his attempts of stitching the Federal Front.

Tamanna’s Khamoshi Trailer: A Copied Film?

Share

Milky siren Tamanna is the first time doing a proper horrific thriller where there is no need for her to deliver some glamour doses. Featuring Prabhudeva as the antagonist, the film “Khamoshi” has its trailer released today.

Tamanna plays the role of a girl who happens to be a painter but can’t hear and speak. And then one day, a serial killer played by Prabhudeva finds about her as she’s alone in her mansion, doing the paintings. And now the film is about how Tamanna will be able to get rid of him or will he kill her in the end. Prabhudeva tried quite hard to impress as a killer, but somehow his exaggeration didn’t work. Tamanna is just okay in the role, while sound design is pretty good.

Moreover, the trailer proved that the film is the rip-off of 2016 Hollywood movie “Hush”, which features a similar girl, a killer, the girl’s friend (here Bhumika) and friend’s boyfriend. Whether Khamoshi is a remake of Hush or just a free-make is not known, but the Indianisation of it lacked any creative improvement.

Jersey girl replaced Samantha?

Share

Busy bee actor Vishal is currently working on his next project which is said to be a sequel of his blockbuster film Irumbu Thirai. This 2018 film had Samantha as the female lead. However, the latest news is that, instead of Samantha, filmmakers have roped Jersey heroine Shraddha Srinath to play the leading lady for the sequel.

Shraddha was last seen in Kollywood in thriller K 13 and she is now pairing for the first time with Vishal. Shraddha said that she is pretty excited to work for a new genre, which is a cyber-action thriller. Shraddha’s fan base is huge and it rose up overnight with Nani’s Jersey. She is busy with a few projects on hand and one of them is Ajith’s AK59.

Irumbuthirai’s sequel is being produced by Vishal which is expected to go on the floors later this year. Also known as Abhimanyudu in Telugu, this film will now have Shraddha Srinath in the place of Samantha Akkineni under PS Mithran direction.

Dear Comrade, This Is Not Song Of The Year

Share

A couple of weeks ago, happening star Vijay Devarakonda announced that ‘A Crazy Song Of The Year’ is going to be released very soon. He spoke about the second song from Dear Comrade movie, which according to him will create a rage for music lovers.

Finally, the most awaited song is here, and at the first instance, the song is neither catchy nor it has any haunting lyrics that will make you wanting more. Composer Justin Prabhakaran’s tune is quite simple with limited orchestration we have to say. Rahman’s lyrics are also neither poetic nor they create that mystic feeling around the song. Only saving grace is the voice of Sid Sriram, which has anyway become monotonous in Telugu songs already.

Earlier Vijay Devarakonda’s Inkem Inkem Kavale became such a hit because a fabulous tune of Gopi Sundar supported by Anant Sriram’s terrific lyrics and Sid’s voice did the magic. Such magical collaboration is missing in this latest one of Vijay, and surely we could say that this is not a song of the year. But see, what audience will feel about it in the coming days.

Teaser Talk: Taapsee’s Game Over Or Game Starting?

Share

Ever since the films, Pink succeeded in Hindi and Anando Brahma in Telugu, curly haired beauty Taapsee Pannu is opting for author-backed roles rather doing glamour centric ones. And then, she is carving a niche for her we have to say.

Today the teaser of Taapsee’s upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual “Game Over” got released, which is also being released in Hindi by Anurag Kashyap. The teaser is all about the leading lady living two lives, one as a videogame player and another one as a wheel-chair ridden patient who suffers from the psychological issue due to the presence of unknown sounds around her.

Though the theme of the film is not a new one, the sound effects, Taapsee’s intense acting and the cinematography did huge magic for the teaser. We have to say that Taapsee has chosen another thriller after Badla, and this might do well. Going by this one could say that while the film is titled ‘Game Over’, Taapsee’s real game in the film industry has just started.

It’s a big surprise that the stardom and attention Taapsee never got with her super glamorous appearances in bikinis and minis, is now coming to her with these different movies.

Don’t Aim For Baahubali, Aim For This

Share

Ever since Baahubali 2 became the highest grosser in Bollywood with its Hindi version, many Bollywood makers are constantly trying to beat that record. With 1700+ crores gross from all Indian languages with 510 crores nett from Hindi version alone, surely that is a tough record to crack.

After trying their luck with movies like Padmaavat and Thugs Of Hindostan, many felt that Bollywood will be remixing vintage dramas with palatial set designs to woo audiences big time. And a film that has come on that lines is none other than Karan Johar’s high budgeted production venture Kalank. The film hardly collected 80 crores nett, however, just recovering the 40 crores publicity cost.

In the wake of even Kalank failing to beat Baahubali, Bollywood has to rethink about bigger set properties and visual effects, in order to beat Baahubali. First of all, they need to have super content first. Rather aiming at Baahubali, if they aim at super content, sometimes luck and hype will add to it, to make that film a bigger hit.
